"Everything… seems pretty normal."
Looking at the Curios whose style didn't differ much from what she was used to, Jingliu frowned slightly.
After what happened earlier, she felt that Curios from those powerful forces should look bizarre.
Just like the [Superman Suit]—if someone from the Xianzhou wandered around the streets wearing that, it would definitely cause a wave of people turning to stare.
Many people would secretly compliment them—though probably using Xianzhou profanity to do it.
But the Curios in front of her were far too normal.
A standalone steering wheel, a packet of tea leaves, a keyboard, and a toy-like miniature tank.
Forget being powerful—none of these seemed even remotely related to combat at first glance.
If they had looked odd or grotesque, she might have been more focused.
Still, there was at least a purple Curio, so it wasn't entirely without value.
Compared to her mild dissatisfaction, the three employees from the IPC were already staring with burning anticipation.
To this day, they had only ever obtained one purple Curio. And in a single day, Jingliu had gotten twice their total.
There was no injustice in the world greater than this!
If they could hear Jingliu's internal thoughts right now, they would probably complain loudly.
Auntie, if you don't want it, how about selling it to us for two million? We'll take as many as you have!
"How is it? Anything rare?" Jingliu asked Sylvester with a trace of curiosity.
Sylvester hesitated for a moment. "Rare… well, it's rare in its own way."
He pointed at the steering wheel. "Let's start with this one. It belongs to a concept car."
"Oh… hmm?"
Jingliu nodded instinctively before her brain caught up.
"Concept car?" She repeated Sylvester's words and then looked suspiciously at the steering wheel resting quietly on the counter.
After a long silence, she asked, "Is this some new type of scam?"
Back when she was still afflicted by Mara and serving as the Sword Champion of the Luofu, she had heard many accounts from the Realm-Keeping Commission about various fraud tactics.
Like intentionally letting someone win a 'grand prize,' then claiming a ten-percent discount on some worthless jade scrap—saying it was a high-end piece worth thousands and then 'discounting' it for a few hundred.
Or selling nutritional supplements as miracle medicine, which was a scam so common it was practically impossible to eradicate.
Even more infuriating were those who used jade abacus communications, pretending to be judges from the Ten-Lords Commission and scaring people by claiming they were on the death sentence list because of debts.
If they didn't transfer money to a designated account, a roaming executioner from the Ten-Lords Commission would immediately come perform an on-site execution.
Compared to firing squads, this "concept car" wasn't quite that ridiculous—but it definitely had the vibe of a 'miracle cure' scam.
Jingliu picked up the steering wheel, squeezing and inspecting it. But she couldn't find any sort of switch that could turn it into an actual vehicle.
Unable to figure it out, she asked, confused, "Where does the key go for this car?"
"Oh! I know this one." From the rest area, Feixiao clapped her hands in sudden realization, joking, "It's a car that only smart people can see!"
Sylvester rubbed his chin at her remark and chuckled. "Not quite that tricky."
He gestured toward Jingliu. "Levitate up first, then hold the wheel with both hands. You'll understand."
"Is there actually a difference?" Though puzzled, Jingliu followed his instructions.
Her small body touched lightly onto the ground like a falling leaf.
"Both hands," Sylvester reminded.
Jingliu's small hands grasped the wheel—slightly wider than her body.
The moment she completed this simple action, she suddenly felt a soft force appear beneath and behind her, gently lifting her up.
Without using the [Beginner's Levitation Technique], she began rising slowly into the air and even maintained a seated posture under an unseen force. The steering wheel also fixed itself in place, no longer moving freely.
Not only that—a flood of information suddenly appeared in her mind.
"Could it be… like this?" Following the information, she leaned forward and instinctively made a turning-key gesture near the wheel.
A rumbling engine sound echoed through the room!
"Huh? Now this is interesting."
Feixiao lowered her crossed leg and walked up to Jingliu.
Seeing Jingliu actually sitting in midair like she was driving a car, Feixiao paced around her several times.
Then she experimentally felt around beside Jingliu—yet touched absolutely nothing—before carefully checking the area again.
Finally, she confirmed it: there was no invisible car hidden around Jingliu.
Yet the engine's vrrrm and Jingliu's movements continually reminded them that she was sitting in a real vehicle.
Seeing the smooth startup, Sylvester leaned back in his chair with satisfaction.
He spread one hand and smiled. "That's the effect of the concept car. You can't see or touch it, but you can really drive it. Gripping the wheel activates it; standing up forcefully turns it off. Once it starts, your mind automatically knows where the pedals, clutch, and other controls are."
"Its top speed can reach Mach 1. The energy replenishes automatically while idle—full recharge in three hours. At economical speed, a full charge can run a few thousand kilometers. When not in use, you can tuck it into a bag. Perfect for everyday travel."
Jingliu swept her hand through the air, and waves of information rose unbidden in her mind.
Indeed, just like Sylvester said, everything a vehicle should have could be found.
"Yes, this truly is a fully functional car."
Feixiao, after hearing the explanation and Jingliu's confirmation, gave her honest praise. "This Curio is actually pretty fun."
The company trio were visibly excited.
Topaz propped her chin on one hand, thinking aloud, "If we could mass-produce this, it would sell like crazy."
She was already planning internally—how to dominate the cosmic transportation sector, squeeze out traditional vehicle industries, and eventually seize the entire market.
But in the end, she sighed and shook her head. "Most Curios can't be reproduced. A shame… this would've been such a great product."
Jade and Aventurine also sighed regretfully.
To people like them, watching a promising business opportunity die was painful.
Feixiao, unlike them, didn't jump straight to market strategies.
Circling Jingliu again with curious eyes, she suddenly realized something. "This car… seems kind of impossible to use for driving license exams, right?"
As a general of the Xianzhou Yaoqing, she was also a helmswoman of the Sky-Faring Commission, with an extremely heavy workload.
From commanding battles to handling illegal parking and traffic violations, all the way to overseeing interstellar trade—
Minor tasks could be handled by her subordinates, but ultimately everything had to be approved by her.
If the streets no longer had Starskiffs and were filled with invisible cars…
From a distance, no one could even tell who was driving and who was just walking!
Wouldn't that torture the Sky-Faring Commission?
