Somewhere in the Kanto Region
Outside of a manor, a man in a tuxedo and heavy bags under his eyes, with a red box could be seen running.
"JAMES! Come back here right now!"
James was running for his life as his family chased him, "you'll never take me alive!!" He yelled over his shoulder as he jumped off the ledge of a cliff.
Tch, "Sebastian find that brat", "yes m'lady"
"Eeee" James screamed as he tumbled down the side of the cliff carefully protecting the box he was holding. If one looked carefully they could see that the box James was holding said in a big black font, ACME.
James grunted as he landed, quickly looking at the box, he exhaled in relief seeing that it didn't explode. Getting up with some minor scrapes he made his way to a clearing, with his family hot on his tail he had to hurry.
Because he didn't have a lot of time he built the first thing that came to mind. Pushing some bushes out of his way he finally saw his target.
In the clearing he saw a makeshift plane, that only some green egg stealing pigs would deem flight worthy.
The thing was made entirely out of wooden planks, it had what barely passed for wings, with an umbrella on top, there were only two open spaces near the front.
Placing the ACME explosives he had at the back, James made his way to the front. Hearing charging footsteps he dove for the front space. Sitting himself upright James reached down to his belt.
"JAMES GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!!"
His fiance, Jessebell screamed at him, feeling confident he turned around face her, "Prepare for trouble"
Waiting for a second as his almost wife was within non screaming range, he realized he didn't have his partner to finish the motto, panicking James threw out his pokeball.
"Growlithe"
"Growlithe! Use flame thrower!!"
"Growl", flames erupted from Growlithe's mouth, as the flames came into contact with the box, the plane exploded forward.
"JAMES!!!"
"So long my dearest Jessebell, hopefully you find someone ne-", "Oh no"
In the midst of James's farewell the wheel he attached to the bottom of the plane with duct tape broke off and smacked Jessebell in the face.
"Well prepare for a crash landing Growlithe"
"Grow"
That's right he brought Growlithe, instead of abandoning it in Kanto like a jerk.
"Now flamethrower, we have to make it to Sinnoh"

Sushi thoughts, dreaming of last night's dinner, I slept soundly.
"PETILIL!"
"Ooph!"
"Huh? What was that for?"
"Petilil"
Rubbing my eyes, I felt my now slightly wet shirt sticking to my skin, gross, I drooled on myself.
Ignoring the feeling I looked at Petilil, she was about an inch away from my face, groaning I rolled over.
"PETILIL!"
"Petilil, why? I'm really comfortable here"
She was constantly jumping all over my body, Petilil was about fifteen pounds and feeling that constantly on my head I just gave up.
Turning my head into water before she could come back down from her latest attack on my head.
"PETILIL?!" she screamed
"Not so happy now are you?"
"Piplup?"
With my semi transparent head with Petilil's sticking out I looked over to Piplup. Piplup had slept cuddled up with her barrel of Buizel bites on the couch in the room.
While Petilil struggled in my head I ignored her as I made my way to the bathroom, there was no point in trying to sleep if Petilil was this motivated.
After taking a shower with a now less than motivated plant. I finally let her go, pulling her out of my head. I placed her on the counter.
Grabbing a towel, I gently dried her off.
"Petilil", she mumbled, smiling I poked her forehead, "ilil?"
"Come on, you were motivated for a reason?"
"Petilil", remembering what she wanted, she jumped off the counter, moving through the room until she was next to the closed window.
She wasn't tall enough to reach the blinds, laughing I got ready. "If you want some sunshine, let's just go out."
Turning my attention to my penguin who was bleary watching us, I called out to her, "Piplup, get up, we're going out."
"Piplup"
Closing the door to my room in the pokemon center, I realized that I didn't know what time it was. Looking at my poketch, my eye twitched. Petilil had woken me up before seven, no wonder I had felt like crap.
Entering the main lobby of the pokemon center, there wasn't really anyone there aside from nurse Joy there were one or two older looking trainers.
I mean most trainers were young kids so most wouldn't voluntarily get up early. While I was scanning the surroundings I noticed Noah in the corner.
While I made my way over to him, he seemed surprised as he gave me a raised eyebrow at my approach.
"What?"
He shrugged, "I thought I would have to wake you and Kyra up, looks like it's just going to be Kyra."
Pretending I didn't hear that I looked at his pokemon, Turtwig was on a table with Petilil in the sunlight next to us, while Wooper was in a bowl of water, comfortably floating.
"So where's Shinx?"
He gestured down, following his finger I saw Shinx, Noah looked down to, "by the looks of it he's munching on Turtwig's food."
"Turtwig!"
His Turtwig rushed over, by the time Turtwig got to his now empty bowl, all he saw was a messy Shinx.
"Turtwig, Turtwig, Turtwig!"
Shinx just stuck his tongue out at Turtwig blowing a raspberry.
Turtwig looking wronged turned to Noah, "Turtwig", he said pointing to Shinx with his foot.
"Snooze, you lose buddy"
"Turtwiggg"
Noah sighed, but still had a smile, "ahh I can't, I'll get you both another bowl." he said while rubbing Turtwig's head.
"Turtwig!! Turtwig, now much happier, jumped for joy, but remembering Shinx he glared at him. Shinx was just trying to look as innocent as possible while licking his lips.
We both chuckled at the interaction, turning to my pokemon, Petilil was still basking in the sun and Piplup had her cheese balls.
I still poured bowls of pokemon food for the both of them, then got up to grab a bite for myself.
While I ate breakfast I chatted with Noah, it wasn't long until the others joined us, first came Brock then Ash and Lucas.
Not helping the stereotype that girls take forever to get ready Dawn and Kyra.
After internally grumbling a bit at them, I turned to Ash, because of last night's incident with team rocket, then James, I had been distracted and couldn't really talk to him.
Taking a deep breath, I waved at him, "hello, my name is Hikari"
Since I technically hadn't met both Ash and Brock, they both waved to me, "I'm Brock", "I'm Ash, and this is Pikachu", "Pika"
As I looked at Ash one question came to mind, while still looking at both of them, "so how old are both of you?"
Brock was the first to respond, "I am fifteen", then Ash responded, "I'm ten"
Continuing on I smiled at Ash, "so this is your first journey?"
He also smiled but shook his head, "no, this will be my fourth"
raising my eyebrow at him, "so you started your first journey when you were six?"
He looked slightly confused, "no I was ten when I started"
I just looked at him, then Brock and how do you know Ash?
"I met Ash during his Kanto journey, I'm the Pewter city gym leader but currently my father is subbing in for me."
Pressing in on that I continued "and how long ago did you meet Ash?"
Brock seemed confused as he scratched his head, "I'd say almost four years, why?"
I could just hear the x-files theme in my head.
Everyone was looking at me confused, all wondering why I was so invested in their age. Meanwhile I was confused, how the hell did no one realize that this man hasn't aged at all?
Deciding to put the matter away for now, I redirected the conversation, "What do you all have planned for today?"
"I've got to do some training for my first pokemon coordinator event!!" A new voice said
Turning around, it was Dawn who spoke, Kyra was behind Dawn looking pleased since she had her coco.
After Dawn finished, no else said anything after an awkward silence broken only by Kyra's sipping did Lucas stand up.
"Then it's decided, we'll go cheer on my sister", at his words everyone nodded.
We all moved to one of the spare training grounds near the arena, currently Ash and Dawn were on the field, while we were all watching.
"Piplup use peck", Dawn called, then her Piplup's beak glowed but instead of just being the normal peck her Piplup's extended.
I couldn't help but admire that, "Piplup", my Piplup who was next to me looked annoyed.
Every time Dawn called out an order to her Piplup, mine would instinctively look up only to realize that it was the other Piplup that Dawn meant instead of her.
I could feel her pain, even if I know I'm home alone, I swear I can still hear my mom yelling at me to do a chore or something. Rubbing Piplup's head I just continued watching Dawn and Ash.
Midway through Piplup's attack Ash's Aipom joined in and uppercut Piplup. Everyone was in shock, mainly Piplup, who wondered why everyone had to bully him.
Aipom just started sort of dancing, "Hey Aipom what's up?" Ash, ignoring Piplup, looked at his pokemon. Suddenly Aipom used double team then jumped in the air with them, once in the air he unleashed swift.
All of the attacks collided creating a giant star in the sky, Misdreavus and Gastly who had been floating next to Kyra both had the same idea.
"Missssss"
"Gassssss"
Aipom turned to them actually looking offended as he raised his extra arm at them making a fist.
Brock, realizing that they were booing Aipom, and not wanting a fight to break out, approached Aipom, while holding his Bonsly.
"That was an impressive move Aipom"
"Bonsly"
That distracted Aipom as he started hopping again, Brock then turned to Ash who just seemed lost.
"Ash, I think Aipom wants to compete in the contest."
Ash, recovering from his shock, came over to Aipom, "Aipom, is that true?"Aipom started bouncing on his extra arm and making happy noises.
Then Lucas and Dawn came over, "it's true, he's always watching my practice" Dawn said, now it was Lucas's turn" then we should get you registered for the contest."
"AHH, I totally forgot!!" Dawn screamed, everyone including her Piplup looked at her like she was an idiot.
"Isn't your dream to become the best pokemon coordinator, how do you not know the most basic things? I hope you at least know that you're supposed to dress up right?" Kyra sarcastically said while rolling her eyes.
Dawn couldn't resist her own jab at Kyra, "thank you captain obvious, maybe you should join me then if you know what to do."
Kyra immediately held up her hands as she backed away, "I apologize for my outburst"
Lucas reminded everyone that Ash and Dawn needed to register for the contest, which brought everyone back to the same page.
We rushed to the arena, Ash and Dawn took the lead as they reached the receptionist first.
Luckily they were both able to register without problem, they both received their ids after they did they both got a ball capsule with some stickers.
"What's this?" Ash asked
"You mean you don't know?" Dawn said as she reached for some stickers
Kyra, not letting an opportunity to make fun of Dawn pass added her two cents, "and you do?"
Dawn just glared at her as she put a heart sticker on the ball. She showed off Piplup appearing with some hearts.
With the contest tomorrow along with Ash and Dawn registered we all decided that after her contest we would all leave Jubilife city together.
We were all heading for Oreburgh city so there was no point in splitting up for now. Kyra, having nothing really to do, went back to the pokemon center with Noah for lunch .
Upon entering the pokemon center they passed by the phone area, Kyra groaned, Noah hearing Kyra turned around, "What's up?"
Kyra sighed, "I'm going to call my family, hopefully Tina is fine", before Kyra could finish Noah raised his hand.
"What?"
"Let me get some popcorn"
Her mouth twitched but she stiffly nodded.
Typing in the information, Kyra called home, the phone rang for a little bit until her mother was visible.
"Hm, oh hello sweetie"
"Hello mom", "Hello Mrs. Satoru"
"Noah too? Hello"
"Mom, is that Noah and Kyra?" a voice from the other end of the line was heard, Kyra's mom moved a little and Tina became visible, she was sitting on the repaired couch reading a magazine.
The most surprising thing being Tina was in a strait jacket and using her feet to turn the pages.
"Hello Tina" both Noah and Kyra said
They both filled them in on their journey and Kyra introduced her new pokemon though Duskull didn't like the light and went back to sleep once he was out.
After they ended the call they both sat down for lunch.
