Chapter 2 - A normal life?

Atlas's father was the first one to open his eyes, after the giant rock fully landed on the Earth. Peter dragged Atlas into his workshop and closed the door, but they were still both knocked unconscious. Peter looked around Atlas's workshop to see if anything was damaged, it was a miracle that the workshop was still standing. Peter picked up the spanners scattered all over the floor and placed them back into Atlas's toolbox. Peter pulled out his cellphone and checked if his phone had any signal, but it didn't have any. Peter had one unread message on his phone, but he didn't want to open it while he knew his son Atlas could wake up at any moment. Peter quickly went to the green-painted-oil-stained wall and pulled a hidden light switch, a secret compartment in the wall opened. The secret compartment had a small safe in barely the size of a small suitcase, Peter quickly typed in the combination lock's passcode. The safe opened quietly, the contents of the safe was as follows: An envelope with the date 1879 on it, a damaged pencil that looked like it would fall apart, a fully loaded 9mil handgun and a bottle of sleeping pills. Peter took the bottle of sleeping pills out of the safe, he closed the safe again and after the safe was closed he closed the hidden compartment. Peter took out 10 of the sleeping pills and shoved them all into Atlas's mouth and forced him to swallow them while he was still unconscious. Peter didn't care if his son Atlas would only wake up three days later then he should have awakened, he needed to check the unread message on his phone. Peter unlocked his phone again and opened the unread message, the message said "Peter, this is the head of research and experimentation Dr Stone. We need you here as soon as possible, if you got a system message saying Welcome idiots then you must say open system to access your system. Bye for now". Peter whispered softly "Open system". Later Peter found out that it wasn't necessary to whisper open system, the system read his mind. The system screen opened and it said the following: {Name: Peter Vortex}. {Species: Currently human}. {Current condition: Stable}. {HP 100/100}. {MP 0/0, Peter Vortex can't use magic}. {Strength: 12}. {Agility:4}. {Stamina:7}. {Intelligence:0, Peter Vortex idiot can't use magic}. {Current level: 1, broke noob with no skills}. {Available ability point: hahahaha 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000 loser Peter is a contaminated user, he can never gain ability points through leveling up}. {Skills list: Why would a loser need skills, just closed your hopeless stat window Peter.} {You broke loser have one unread message}. Peter looked at his hopeless stat window with a sad face, he whispered "Open unread message". The unread message opened and the contents were as follows: "Hello broke loser, you have now received your own leveling up system. Not that it will help you in any way, you deserve to die you slimy bastard. The giant rock you saw earlier, I couldn't stop it in time. I destroyed the giant rock with a forcefield, but the force of it exploding on the forcefield was too great and that is how you were knocked out". {You have received a urgent quest you broke loser}. Peter whispered under his breath "This damn system calling me names". Ding. {I heard that bastard, do you want the quest or not}. Peter whispered under his breath "Sorry, please show me the quest". {You know you don't have to whisper I can hear your thoughts loser}. {Urgent quest: Return home}. {Reward: none, losers don't get rewards only death}. {Time limit: Wait for your son Atlas to wake up, the one you poisoned with your sleeping pills loser. Tell him to check his system when he wakes up, he is my sweet dear Atlas}. {Penalty upon failure: -1 decrease in all your stats loser}. Peter sighed as he closed his system window, he needed to wait another three days before Atlas woke up. He was starting to think that Atlas was the system's main character. To be continued....
