Chapter 131 – The "Responsible" Sensei
"Sensei... do you not like my father?" Toneri asked, his voice uncertain as he glanced up at Yusuke, who looked visibly reluctant.
"It's not that…" Yusuke replied with a sigh, leading Ōtsutsuki Toneri along a stone path. "It's just that your father is too stiff. He's boring."
"My father's not stiff. It's just that your personality is way too carefree, Sensei," Toneri said calmly.
"Hah? And who taught you to talk back like that?" Yusuke flicked the boy's forehead with two fingers.
"It's what my father said himself. He told me that Sensei is actually a good person in every way, but you're too unpredictable and free-spirited. He even told me not to follow in your footsteps," Toneri muttered, clearly repeating his father's words.
"Tch. You really don't know anything, do you? Your sensei's personality is called cheerful and open-minded. Got that? There's nothing wrong with being like me. With a personality like this, people naturally flock to you. But if you grow up as stiff as your dad, don't be surprised when no one wants to hang out with you."
Before they knew it, the two had arrived at the grand entrance of the Ōtsutsuki palace. Standing at the front was a tall man with long, snow-white hair—Toneri's father, Ōtsutsuki Yoshino.
"Long time no see, Yoshino-nii," Yusuke greeted with a broad grin.
"You actually came," Yoshino replied tersely, his face unreadable. He didn't add a single word more.
"You're as dull as ever. Can't you loosen up a little? If Toneri ends up growing into a copy of you, he'll never make any friends," Yusuke grumbled.
"On the Moon, where would he even find friends? Besides, why have you been visiting so frequently lately? Are you and Tsunade having issues?"
"Hmph! Our relationship is perfectly fine," Yusuke snapped.
"Oh right, when Toneri's older, I'll be taking him to Earth," Yusuke said without warning.
"Really?! That's wonderful news!" Toneri's mother, Ōtsutsuki Miyako, exclaimed with a bright smile.
"It's been a while, Miyako-nee. Of course I will. Besides, this place isn't really ideal for his next stage of training," Yusuke replied lightly.
"Then... thank you so much, Yusuke-kun," Miyako said sincerely.

Six Years Later... A New Chapter Begins
At the Konoha Academy classroom...
Three students sat together at a single table—a blond-haired boy, a black-haired boy, and a pink-haired girl—all waiting for their new Jōnin sensei to arrive.
"Sasuke-kun, I didn't think we'd end up on the same team!" the girl chirped excitedly to the dark-haired boy beside her.
"Hmph. I don't want to be on the same team as that loudmouth," Sasuke muttered, annoyed.
"Back off, Naruto! Stop bothering Sasuke-kun!" Sakura scolded the blond boy.
Naruto slumped forward, clearly dejected.
But a mischievous grin quickly returned to his face as an idea struck him. He placed an eraser precariously above the door.
"Hey, Naruto! What do you think you're doing?!" Sakura shouted.
"Let him get what he deserves for being late!" Naruto snickered.
"Hmph. Fine. I'm not getting involved," Sakura sighed, though inwardly she was rooting for the prank to work.
"A seasoned Jōnin would never fall for a cheap trick like that," Sasuke muttered coldly.
Just then, footsteps echoed from the hallway.
And then—
Thud!
The eraser fell with a soft thump onto the head of the man who stepped through the doorway. A silver-haired man stood there, completely unfazed, the eraser resting on his head.
"Haha! Got him! It actually worked!" Naruto laughed triumphantly.
"I'm so sorry, Sensei! I tried to stop him!" Sakura lied, though she was clearly pleased.
'...Is this guy really a Jōnin?' Sasuke thought to himself, eyebrow twitching.
Then Naruto's grin froze as he got a proper look.
"Wha—Ka-Kakashi-sensei?! Why are you the one here?!"
"Oh? So you're one of my students now, Naruto? This should be interesting," Kakashi said in his usual lazy tone, eyes fixed on the book in his hands.
"Alright, first impressions…" He raised his head slowly. "...You're all kinda annoying."
He led them up to the rooftop of the academy shortly after.
"Okay, it's time to introduce yourselves," Kakashi said.
"Introduce ourselves how?" Naruto asked.
"Tell me what you like, what you dislike, your dreams, goals, stuff like that."
"I think you should go first, Sensei," Sakura suggested.
"Oh! I know your name! You're Hatake Kakashi!" Naruto shouted.
"Shut it, Naruto," Kakashi sighed. "Fine, I'll start."
"My name is Hatake Kakashi. As for my likes and dislikes... I don't feel like telling you. Hobbies? Plenty. My dream... is to surpass someone I once thought unbeatable."
There was a rare sharpness in his eyes as he said that, something that made the three fall silent.
"Someone unbeatable...? What does that mean, Sensei?" Naruto scratched his head, confused.
"You'll find out eventually."

Meanwhile... On the Moon
"Well, look at you, Toneri. You've really grown," Yusuke said, stepping into the courtyard where the boy was training.
"Sensei! You came!" Toneri beamed with joy.
"Hahaha! Missed your old teacher, huh?" Yusuke laughed, ruffling his hair.
"Sensei, please don't do that," Toneri said politely, although clearly overwhelmed.
"Geez… It's only been six months, and you've already turned stiff like your old man."
Toneri remained silent. He admired his sensei deeply, but his father's strictness still loomed over him.
"Alright. You're twelve now, aren't you? Time to take you to Earth," Yusuke said.
"Understood, Sensei."
"Go say goodbye to your parents."
After bidding farewell, Toneri left the Moon for the first time—with Yusuke by his side.
"You weren't waiting too long, were you?" Yusuke said once they arrived.
"Toneri greets Sensei's wife," the boy said, bowing respectfully toward Tsunade.
"Oh? This little guy's already so grown up? Come on, drink with me!" Tsunade laughed.
"He's not allowed to drink alcohol, Tsunade-sama!" Shizune said, clearly alarmed.
"Fine, fine," Tsunade gave in with a chuckle.
"Sensei, are we going back to Konoha?" Toneri asked.
"Of course. But only you are. Tsunade and I still have one more place to visit. You'll go on ahead."
"What?! You're sending him alone? This is his first time on Earth!" Shizune protested.
"Shizune, hush," Tsunade said firmly.
"Toneri, head to the Hidden Leaf and find someone named Hatake Kakashi. He's my younger brother. Here's a map and his picture. Go," Yusuke said, then casually turned and walked away with the two women.
"Yusuke-sama… you're really letting him go off alone? He doesn't even have any money," Shizune asked, puzzled.
"He's been raised on the Moon his whole life. No social experience. That's exactly why this is his first trial. Relax. I've got a way to keep an eye on him. He'll be fine," Yusuke said confidently.
"This Sensei of his… so 'responsible,'" Tsunade snickered.
"Hmph! That kid's already Jōnin level. Nearly Kage-level, even! All thanks to my training!"
"Hah! That's because Toneri's a prodigy!" Tsunade snapped back.
"Prodigy? Please. When I was his age, I was way stronger!" Yusuke said, puffing out his chest proudly.
Tsunade simply rolled her eyes. In the entire ninja world, who could possibly compare to Hatake Yusuke?
Still... deep down, even she was curious—
Just how far could that boy go?
