Chapter 130 – Ōtsutsuki Toneri
"I'm not wearing it! You said it yourself—wearing an eye cover just makes me look even more suspicious. And it looks awful," Yusuke grumbled, refusing Tsunade's demand while enjoying the sweet snack he'd ordered earlier.
"You have to wear it! That sharp new look of yours is exactly what's drawing attention!" Tsunade snapped, visibly irritated.
Yusuke sighed and shrugged. It was his wife asking, after all. And to be fair… ever since his fusion with that power, his eyes had become far too sharp. He saw things too clearly, too intensely. It wasn't just distracting—it was exhausting.
Wearing a blindfold helped dull the input. And besides, it didn't really block his vision.
Observation Haki could still let him sense people, but at its core, it relied heavily on auditory cues. Not everyone liked relying on hearing alone, right?
"…Fine. I'll wear it. Just for you," Yusuke finally relented.
Tsunade beamed, lifting his snow-white hair and gently tying the black blindfold across his eyes.
"Much better like this," Yusuke muttered, lightly brushing a finger across the cloth.
"See? Told you so!" Tsunade said smugly, clearly pleased with herself.
As usual, the three of them left the shop without paying. But thanks to Yusuke's devastatingly handsome looks, the shopkeeper barely even made a move. Really, good looks did get you places.

Elsewhere…
"I don't agree! I'm going to take care of Naruto!" Kakashi barked at Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage.
"Kakashi, Naruto must be protected. He's not just Minato's orphaned son—he's the Jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails. You can't be by his side 24/7," Hiruzen replied with a weary sigh.
"My father can help," Kakashi insisted.
"Enough. Sakumo doesn't even know how to raise a child. He only just came back after all this time," Hiruzen's tone hardened.
Kakashi paused, deep in thought, before giving a reluctant nod.
"…Fine. I understand," he said.
Moments later, a woman walked into the Hokage's office, holding baby Naruto in her arms.
"I'll leave Naruto in your care. But remember this, Hokage-sama… if I ever find out he's been mistreated, I don't care who's responsible—I will kill them," Kakashi said coldly.
The pressure of his chakra surged so intensely that the air itself seemed to tremble. The woman holding Naruto visibly shivered in fear.
"Calm down, Kakashi. I'll assign someone trustworthy to care for him," Hiruzen assured him.
"Then I'll take my leave," Kakashi said, vanishing in the blink of an eye.
"You," Hiruzen turned to the woman. "Take Naruto. And listen carefully: if that child suffers… you know what will happen. Don't think I'll protect you just because you're a long-standing villager. If Kakashi kills you… I won't stop him."
He knew exactly what kind of hatred that woman harbored. And Kakashi's words weren't empty threats. Worse still… there was someone even more terrifying.

One year later, a scandal shook the entire Hidden Leaf Village.
Hatake Kakashi, the "Copy Ninja," had killed a civilian. Outrage exploded—but surprisingly, Hiruzen didn't punish him. Instead, he pacified the public and made them apologize to Kakashi.
It all started when the woman entrusted with caring for Naruto deliberately gave the infant spoiled milk. As fate would have it, Kakashi had come to check on the boy that day.
"You remember what I told you, don't you?" Kakashi said coldly, his gaze piercing through her.
"Lord Kakashi, please… I beg you… I was blinded by hatred… Please forgive me…" the woman sobbed, throwing herself at his feet.
"I forgive you," Kakashi said calmly.
"Thank you! Thank you so much, Lord Kakashi!" she cried in relief.
But when she glanced toward baby Naruto lying in his crib, hatred flashed in her eyes once again.
"…But who am I to forgive you on behalf of my teacher and his wife—both of whom are gone?" Kakashi's voice trembled.
His eyes sharpened like blades as he slowly drew a kunai from beneath his cloak.
"Lord Kakashi, wait—I serve the Hokage! I—"
She never finished her sentence. In one fluid motion, the kunai flew—ending her life instantly.
She collapsed, her face frozen in disbelief.
Several ANBU agents appeared, blocking his path.
"Move. Try to stop me, and I'll cut you down."
Ignoring them, Kakashi strode straight toward the Hokage's office.
"Kakashi, you can't just kill people!" Hiruzen scolded him.
"She deserved it. My teacher gave his life for this village. His son deserves to live with dignity. But instead, you let him be treated like trash."
Kakashi clenched his fists.
"She was still a civilian, Kakashi! You can't take lives based on emotions alone," Hiruzen argued.
"I already told you—she deserved to die. And if Nii-san had seen what happened… more than one person would've died today."
He turned and began walking away.
"One more thing, Hokage-sama. This is a warning. If that person ever learns what happened here… with his personality, you know exactly what will happen."
"If this ever happens again, I'll take Naruto and leave."

Five years later, on the Moon…
A man lay relaxed, an eye cover draped over his face. His high-collared cloak was jet-black, and his hair, white as snow, matched the cloth over his eyes.
Not far away, a small boy—five, maybe six—was training earnestly.
The boy had pale hair, porcelain skin, and a tomoe-shaped tattoo at the base of his neck. Eyes shut, he formed hand seals with slow, deliberate movements.
"Toneri. You're using too much chakra. Control the flow," the man spoke lazily.
"Yes, Sensei," the boy replied obediently. This was Ōtsutsuki Toneri, and the white-haired man watching over him was none other than Hatake Yusuke. Ever since Toneri could walk, Yusuke had been his teacher.
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!" Toneri called out, completing the jutsu.
"Not bad. The breeze feels nice. Keep going—don't stop."
"But, Sensei… my chakra's running low," Toneri mumbled, panting slightly.
"In that case, switch to physical training. Grab that weight and swing it around me," Yusuke ordered, pointing at a massive dumbbell nearby.
"Yes, sir!" Toneri ran over, grabbing the heavy object and struggling to swing it in wide arcs.
Yusuke watched with a smirk. Ōtsutsuki children really were something else. Their chakra volume, physical endurance, and regeneration… were absurdly inhuman.
After another twenty minutes, Toneri collapsed beside the weight, gasping.
"That's enough for today," Yusuke said, standing up and stretching his stiff limbs.
"Here. A little treat from your sensei." He pulled out a pouch of sweets from… somewhere.
"Thank you, Sensei!" Toneri's eyes sparkled as he took the snack and sat down cross-legged to eat.
"Sensei, why did you come alone today? Where's Tsunade-sensei and Shizune-nee?" Toneri asked curiously.
"They had things to do. You're not upset I came to see you myself, are you?" Yusuke teased, pinching the boy's cheek.
"No, not at all! I was just wondering… You usually come as a trio," Toneri said innocently.
"Hahaha! Alright then. Now, lead me to your father. Tell him I said hello," Yusuke said, patting his student's head.
