Chapter 129 – The Unification of the Tenseigan
A few figures arrived before the Giant Tenseigan.
"So this is the Tenseigan… What terrifying ocular power," Hatake Yusuke muttered in awe.
When it came to raw ocular strength, this eye was easily on par with the Rinne Sharingan—complete with Nine Tomoe—the fabled Eye of the Moon.
"Are you truly planning to claim that eye?" Ōtsutsuki Yoshino warned. "Anyone outside our clan who touches it will have their life essence completely drained."
"Of course I am. I'm taking all of it," Yusuke replied casually, casting a sideways glance at Yoshino. "You don't mind, right?"
"If you're capable of absorbing it, I won't stop you. Just don't forget your promise," Yoshino said, though his eyes were still filled with resentment toward the Tenseigan.
"Relax. Those 'Sky Dwellers' aren't even worth my time," Yusuke scoffed. "And as for Toneri, I'll take care of his training."
He raised his palm toward the glowing orb.
"Darkness: Devour."
An overwhelming gravitational force radiated from his hand, pulling at the massive Tenseigan. The giant eye began to shrink visibly as its energy was drained.
Moments later, torrents of raw ocular power surged toward Yusuke, funneling into his body through his palm.
"Devour."
The black mist around his hand dissipated—replaced by a different kind of power, one far more majestic. It coursed through his veins, concentrating in his eyes.
"Aaaaaagh—!"
An indescribable pain exploded in his head as the Tenseigan's power fused within him. Yusuke's body lifted into the air, blood streaming from both eyes as he convulsed midair.
An entire day passed.
Only after enduring the agony for countless hours did the pain finally subside—replaced by an ecstasy unlike anything he'd felt before.
"You okay?" Yoshino asked cautiously. Yusuke was still floating, his body seemingly weightless.
Yusuke spoke without context, "It's been a long time... since I felt this way."
"…What do you mean?" Yoshino frowned, confused.
"This world... feels so wonderful."
He raised one hand toward the heavens, the other toward the earth.
"Tenjō Tenge, Yui ga Dokuson."
(Above Heaven and Beneath Heaven, I Alone Am Supreme.)
Yusuke opened his eyes.
A divine radiance burst from them, enough to make Yoshino instinctively flinch.
"…Even when they're not fully activated, your eyes emit such immense power?" Yoshino said, stunned.
Yusuke slowly descended to the ground. His jet-black eyes had changed—now a glowing sky-blue, surrounded by a soft, misty shimmer.
Perfect. Unblemished. Harmonious with his long white lashes and snowy hair, as if those eyes were crafted just for him.
(Visual Reference: Six Eyes.)
"How do they feel?"
"…Tenseigan." Yusuke closed his eyes for a second, then reopened them.
Within his irises, swirling golden patterns resembling rotating snowflakes glittered like delicate masterpieces.
(Inspired by Toneri's Tenseigan, but colored gold.)
"Not bad. Though… once I activate Tenseigan Mode, I can't access my Rinnegan abilities. Still, I can use both sets in their base state—even if they're a bit weaker that way." Yusuke shrugged in disappointment.
Yoshino and his wife stood silent, their expressions complicated. Here was a man with two of the most powerful dōjutsu in history—and yet he was complaining about power compatibility.
"Rinnegan, activate."
Six tomoe spun slowly within both of his violet eyes.
"The best part?" Yusuke grinned. "These two powers are connected. Even one of my eyes now surpasses the Giant Tenseigan's output."
He added smugly, "Also—I created four exclusive Kekkei Dōjutsu techniques that can only be used with my eyes. Cool, right?"
"…You gonna praise me or what?"
The couple simply stared at him in silence, overwhelmed.
"What? Speechless from awe? How embarrassing," Yusuke teased.
"Well then, if there's nothing else, I'll be heading back. When Toneri's old enough, use this to contact me."
He handed Yoshino a Denden Mushi.
As they watched him leave, the couple began to feel regret… Was this really the person they were entrusting their child's future to?

Yusuke returned to Earth—specifically, to the house where Tsunade and Shizune were having lunch together.
"I'm back, Tsunade," he greeted with a smirk.
"Can you please stop doing that?! I thought a debt collector came!" Tsunade shouted, nearly dropping her chopsticks.
"You're done with your business up there?" she asked, recovering. "News from Konoha's been spreading everywhere. Sensei's already been appointed Hokage."
"Of course. From the lineup of potential Hokage, only Kakashi's worthy now—and he's my little brother," Yusuke said proudly.
"True… but that just means Konoha will become a target again," Tsunade sighed.
"No worries. Even if we took a hit, Konoha's still the strongest village."
Tsunade narrowed her eyes. "By the way… why are you still wearing those sunglasses?"
"Oh, this?" Yusuke touched the frame lazily. "Let's just say… my eyes are going through some things."
"Liar. You're just trying to act cool for the girls, aren't you?" she shot back. "Especially with those eyes…"
"Huh?! With a face as godly as mine, you think I need sunglasses to get attention?" Yusuke scoffed. "I wear them to hide my good looks!"
Shizune looked away, clearly used to this nonsense.
"Hmph," Tsunade snorted, but didn't argue.
After all, with his flawless white hair, striking features, and practically divine facial symmetry—even Tsunade had to admit she was a little jealous.
(Visual Reference: Gojo Satoru, Peak Manga Handsomeness.)
"That's it! Take them off! Now!" Tsunade demanded, her voice rising like a classic tsundere.
"…Fine, fine. If you insist."
Yusuke removed the sunglasses, revealing his glowing cerulean irises.
"…They're beautiful," Shizune whispered involuntarily.
Even Tsunade was at a loss for words. People nearby began to stare.
Eyes like these... there was no way they belonged to anyone else but Hatake Yusuke. To see them on someone else would be nothing short of blasphemy.
Eventually, Tsunade snapped out of her daze and asked, "Your eyes… What happened?"
Yusuke had always worn an eye covering after his Rinnegan transplant. But now he had replaced it with dark glasses.
And the reason was simple.
"Something wrong?" he asked innocently.
After fusing with the Tenseigan, he'd also awakened Byakugan traits. His field of vision was now nearly 360 degrees—far too overwhelming.
Hence, the shades.
"Take a look for yourself, Yusuke-sama," Shizune said, handing him a mirror.
"…What the—?! My eyes look like this now?!"
Still, when he thought about it, it made sense. Even in his passive state, he could use both Tenseigan and Rinnegan to a limited degree.
So a slight mutation was nothing surprising.
"You didn't even notice?!" Tsunade rubbed her temples in disbelief.
"Guess my eyes evolved again," Yusuke replied with a grin.
"Hmph. From now on, wear this," she said, tossing him an eye-covering.
It was the same one she had bought him back when he couldn't deactivate the Rinnegan. Even if it wasn't necessary now… she had kept it all this time.
