Chapter 236 - Heaven’s Calamity

Chapter 236 — Heaven's Calamity

"The truth behind the Uchiha Clan massacre is this," Yusuke said calmly, his tone soft yet unyielding. "Your brother did it to protect you… and to protect Konoha. He signed a secret pact with the village elders to act as a spy within Akatsuki—to stop another war before it began. He chose to sacrifice his clan so that you could live, Sasuke."

"What…?" Sasuke stared at Yusuke, his eyes wide, pupils trembling. "You're lying."

"Believe it or not, that's up to you," Yusuke replied evenly. "But you should know—even without his Mangekyō Sharingan, Itachi could have killed you at any time. Don't ever underestimate the disciple I trained myself."

Sasuke shook his head violently, his voice cracking. "No… no! That's impossible! You're all lying!"

Yusuke's gaze turned cold. "Itachi knew from the beginning about Orochimaru lurking inside your body. He deliberately drained all your chakra to force that creature out. Then, using the backlash from his own Mangekyō, he ended his life—just to seal Orochimaru, awaken your eyes, and pass his Mangekyō down to you."

Itachi's eyes widened in shock. He had never expected Yusuke to know everything—the very secrets he had carried to his grave.

"And not only that," Yusuke continued. "He knew there was a chance you'd turn against Konoha someday. So he entrusted Shisui's eye to Naruto—the one imbued with Kotoamatsukami, the strongest genjutsu capable of rewriting a person's will entirely. Itachi made sure that even if you lost your way, the village he died to protect would still stand."

Itachi lowered his head and gave a faint, bittersweet smile. "To think… even that, you knew, Yusuke-nii."

"Konoha? Father? All of them… lies!" Sasuke's eyes darted wildly. "You're all lying to me!"

His pupils spun rapidly—the tomoe of his Sharingan twisting into a new shape.

Yusuke's tone remained flat. "Do you really believe Itachi was the kind of man who'd murder his clan for power? Don't insult him. With his talent, even without an Eternal Mangekyō, I could've made him stand at the top of the shinobi world."

Sasuke looked up at his brother, who stood before him silently. For the first time, Itachi's expression wasn't cold or distant—it was the gentle, kind smile of the older brother he once loved.

All the anger, pain, and hatred inside Sasuke collided with the truth striking through his heart.

"Sa… Sasuke," Itachi said softly, his voice hoarse. "It's all over now. You've grown up. Don't let hatred blind you anymore. I only ever wanted you to live."

"That village…" Sasuke muttered, his voice low and trembling. "Konoha… they're the ones who made our clan suffer! I'll destroy it all!"

His pupils twisted again, forming the three-bladed pattern of the Mangekyō Sharingan. But unlike others, his design was sharper, darker—a sinister aura pulsed around him.

"Foolish boy," Yusuke said coolly. "Every sin has its source, every evil its root. The ones truly responsible for your clan's downfall are Danzō… and the rotten elders hiding behind their desks in Konoha."

"I don't care who it was!" Sasuke shouted, his breath ragged. "They'll all die!"

His eyes flicked toward Tsunade—filled with pure killing intent.

Before he could move, Yusuke stepped forward. In a single instant, his foot pressed down hard on Sasuke's head, slamming it into the ground until the stone beneath cracked.

"Listen carefully, boy," Yusuke said, his voice low but resonant—each word vibrating through the air. "Even if you awaken the Eternal Mangekyō… in my eyes, you're still nothing. A mere ant has more worth."

"Y-you…" Sasuke gritted his teeth, trembling between rage and fear.

"Yusuke-nii…" Itachi murmured, his tone a complex blend of awe and sorrow.

Yusuke exhaled sharply through his nose. "Enough. If I don't teach him a lesson today, he'll end up crossing the line tomorrow—and when that happens, someone will die."

His gaze grew colder. "Listen, Sasuke. I'll show you… what it truly means to face Heaven's Calamity."

Tsunade frowned deeply. "Yusuke, what are you planning?"

"Nothing much," he said lightly, glancing at her. "Just a demonstration… to show this kid what real power looks like."

In the blink of an eye, the world around them began to distort. The air vibrated violently, space itself folding like rippling glass. A moment later, the scenery changed completely.

When their vision cleared, they stood on a strange island—half of it covered in glaciers, the other half flowing with molten lava. One side froze the air; the other scorched it.

"This…" Tsunade whispered, her brow furrowing. "The Island of Ice and Fire?"

"Correct," Yusuke replied, his tone calm and steady. "Uchiha Sasuke—watch closely. If you ever intend to challenge me, at least become someone capable of touching this power."

He slowly raised his hand.

"Arise… Heavenly Punishment: Two-Trillion Volt Storm."

In an instant, the sky blazed white. Bolts of lightning tore through the heavens, striking down from the clouds to the earth below—

and the island vanished.

There was no sound, no explosion. Only light. Blinding, absolute light that devoured everything—land, stone, and even dust—until nothing remained.

But it didn't stop there. The storm expanded, spreading outward in all directions. The ocean boiled, the atmosphere trembled, and the horizon itself dissolved in a sea of pure radiance.

The tsunami that should have followed never formed—it was vaporized by the heat of the lightning before it could even exist.

Had Yusuke not immediately activated his Infinity Barrier, everyone present would have been reduced to ash.

"Stop it!" Tsunade shouted, her voice straining over the roar of thunder. "If this keeps spreading, you'll destroy the entire Land of Lightning!"

The storm's speed rivaled light itself. Within seconds, the radius of destruction had stretched for hundreds of kilometers.

Kurenai's voice quivered. "This… this isn't human power anymore. This is a natural disaster…"

Sasuke stood frozen, trembling uncontrollably. "This… this can't be real. Not even Itachi's Susano'o could stop this… not even a god could…"

Itachi gazed at Yusuke in stunned silence, awe and fear swirling in his eyes. He had always known Yusuke was strong—but never had he imagined this. His power had already surpassed the legends of the so-called Gods of Shinobi.

Yusuke looked up at the sky, his expression unreadable. "There's no point trying to stop it. Lightning is the purest force of nature. No one can resist it."

Tsunade's glare hardened. "Then why unleash something like this in the first place!?"

"Relax," Yusuke said evenly. "I haven't even used my full strength."

Everyone stared at him in disbelief.

He shrugged casually. "I haven't activated Sage Mode. Most of my power's still sealed away. I just… 'stirred' a little of my lightning chakra. Who knew it'd turn out this big?"

Even Yusuke's expression twitched slightly, as though he hadn't expected such devastating results himself. "Guess I underestimated the combined resonance of all the Devil Fruits I've assimilated." He sighed softly. "And since lightning is a natural element, well… this is what happens—true natural catastrophe."

"Do something!" Tsunade screamed, grabbing Yusuke by the collar. "Are you trying to wipe the entire world off the map!?"

Yusuke scratched his head awkwardly. "Yeah… this is a bit troublesome. I can stop the spread, sure—but the climate around here's probably going to change permanently."

Tsunade's eyes widened. "What did you just say!? You mean… you've changed the weather of this entire region—forever!?"

"More or less," Yusuke said, giving a sheepish smile.

"I don't care how—just fix it!" Tsunade snapped, nearly shouting. "If this place turns into a wasteland, it'll ruin the entire ecosystem and economy!"

Yusuke stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Hmm… let me think for a sec."

"Don't think—just do it!" Tsunade barked.

"Alright, alright." Yusuke raised both hands calmly.

"ROOM—Full Awakening."

A circle of blue energy spread around him, expanding rapidly until it encompassed the entire sky.

Within seconds, the raging lightning froze in place—as though time itself had stopped. The storm faded, its brilliance dimming into silence.

Yusuke exhaled softly. "There. Done… Though honestly, reverting this place completely would take too much out of me."

He clapped his hands lightly and smiled. "But that's fine. If I can't fix it…"

His chakra began to swirl, glowing around his body.

"…then I'll just create a new world instead."

Crossing his arms, Yusuke looked up at the vast, broken heavens.

"I suppose it's time," he murmured, his voice calm and divine, "to make another miracle."
