Hazel's POV.
I laughed as I watched him choke on his blood. Yes, I was happy that I had at last gotten him. But it hadn't come easily, it had taken days and weeks and months of pain before I had been able to pull this off and there was nothing more satisfying than seeing him in the position he had put a lot of people through. Clearing my throat, I spoke coldly as my gaze lingered on his shocked face.
"You thought you could control me... you thought you could break me but you had no idea the stuff I'm made of. I didn't give up, and I'm happy it paid off in the end. Look who's standing now, look who's gonna live. You couldn't do anything to me despite the threats and the things you had against me. Your army, your trackers, the witches..." another chuckle went through my throat as I said those words. I couldn't help but reminisce about the things that I had seen because of him.
