Chapter 10 - Kiss

"Get Ian drunk! This bastard didn't invite us to his wedding!"

"Get him drunk! I heard he almost let those pirates escape. Let's toast to his near embarrassment!"

"Cheers to Ian arresting a pirate with a bounty of 60 million Belly!"

"No! We should be toasting to another brother entering the grave of marriage. Damn it, he actually managed to marry such a beautiful wife."

"Cheers!"

As the toasts fell, the entire party erupted in cheers, as if celebrating Ian, who had been forced to become the center of attention.

Even the villagers, who had just attended the engagement party last night, joined in.

One had to admit, people in this world really love to throw parties!

Because of that, Robin, who had been preparing dinner, ended up carrying a half-roasted piece of meat as she joined the party.

"I thought you retired because you were disappointed in yourself, but I didn't expect you would actually retire to get married."

After drinking a bottle of wine, Captain Enchi proudly put his arm around Ian's shoulders while looking at Robin beside Ian: "And marrying such a beautiful wife at that. How infuriating."

He looked at Robin curiously and scratched his head. "Why do I feel like I've seen her somewhere?"

Ian: "…"

Robin: "…"

Ian had already guessed what was going on.

As for Robin, she somehow felt a creeping fear towards the Marines, as if she worried they might recognize her. Especially when she heard Captain Enchi's words, her whole body unknowingly stiffened.

Just as she felt lost and flustered, the warmth from the hand holding hers eased much of her stiffness and fear.

A warm current seemed to flow through her chest as she turned to look at Ian, who held her hand.

"Hey, hey, hey, stop showing off your affection in front of us!"

Captain Enchi, upon seeing this, immediately shouted in dissatisfaction. "This is a party! And I'm telling the truth. I think I've seen your wife somewhere."

When he said that, Ian snapped back to himself and opened his mouth to deflect the topic, but before he could speak.

"Captain Enchi always says that when he sees a beautiful girl."

"That's right, that's right. This has happened countless times."

"No, I'm going to tell this to my sister-in-law when I get back. How dare you tease Ian's wife?"

"Let's report him! What a jerk! Cheers to the captain being a jerk."

Before Ian could say anything, the others on the side started to boo him, making Captain Enchi furious.

"I'm telling the truth this time."

Captain Enchi yelled angrily, but in the end, he raised his glass and laughed. "Whatever, cheers!"

After downing another beer, Captain Enchi looked at Ian and asked in confusion: "Where's your wife?"

"We are almost done with the wine here."

Ian said casually after taking a sip. "She went back to get some."

"You really married a considerate wife! You're lucky."

"I'm going to tell my sister-in-law that Captain Enchi said his wife wasn't considerate."

"You bastard, I'll make things difficult for you when we get back. Remember, I'm your superior, you traitor."

Captain Enchi blushed and glared at his subordinate. Then, after another gulp of beer, his cheerful demeanor returned, and he put his arm around Ian's shoulders.

"Forget it, let's not talk about this. I didn't expect you to get married so soon. Are you really not planning on returning to the 315th Branch?"

"Everyone has been waiting for you! If you do, I'm absolutely certain I can recommend you to headquarters this time. Haven't you always wanted to go there?"

"It's been so long, I've given up."

Ian shook his head with a hint of regret.

It didn't matter whether he went or not now. He guessed that apart from the full Six Styles and Life Return, the Marine Headquarters training camp wouldn't have much left to teach him.

His current strength could no longer be improved by ordinary training. Of course, if he could, he still wanted to learn the complete Six Styles and Life Return.

The Branch Base didn't have the complete Six Styles and Life Return, so he hadn't learned them in all these years.

Although he had decided to retire and no longer wanted to cause trouble at sea, strength was crucial no matter where he was.

Ian pondered for a moment, then looked up and was about to ask Enchi if there was any way he could learn the complete Six Styles and Life Return.

Seeing Enchi already absorbed in the banquet, he could only sigh helplessly, planning to ask again tomorrow.

Looking at Robin approaching, Ian thought for a moment, then stood up and walked towards her.

"Dear, what brought you here?"

"Don't worry about those bastards."

Ian casually tossed the wine Robin was carrying at Enchi's side and, amidst a flurry of curses, took Robin's hand and ran off. "Let's go back!"

"Dear, you're so mean!"

Looking at the people scrambling for the drinks, Robin let out a sly smirk, but still took Ian's hand and left.

To be honest, she wasn't comfortable being there.

Something in her heart told her to stay away from those marines, but as Ian's fiancée, she couldn't just leave.

That would be truly rude.

After walking for a while, they saw the door to their home.

"What's wrong?"

Ian glanced at Robin, who had been silent and preoccupied, and asked expressionlessly: "Did you remember something?"

"No, but…"

Robin shook her head, then gave a wry smile. After a slight pause, she said hesitantly: "Dear, I don't think I'm a good person."

Her eyes were filled with confusion. "I think I really hate being around those marines."

"What a coincidence! I'm not a good person either."

Hearing Robin's words, Ian nodded and said seriously: "And I don't like those marines either."

If not for a lack of strength, he would have already clashed with Marine Headquarters and made waves across the sea, likely even becoming wanted by the World Government.

In the end, it was his limited strength that restrained him and kept him making trouble.

But as soon as these words fell, Robin, who had been a little confused, smiled. Especially when she saw Ian's sincere expression, her inner confusion instantly vanished, and she felt a warmth well up inside her, as if… She had found support.

She held Ian's hand tightly while winking playfully: "So it seems we're not all good people, dear."

Before Ian could react, Robin leaned in front of him and gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek.

She raised her right hand, adorned with the newly bought gold ring, and gently stroked it. Her lips curled slightly, and her face flushed.

She grasped Ian's hand, her lips parted, and whispered seductively into his ear: "Dar, do you want to… Try out that bathtub we just bought?"

"...!!!"
