Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: The Enthusiastic Kushina

Chapter 46: The Enthusiastic Kushina

Hoshikawa arrived at Tsunade's house, but he wasn't in a hurry to knock on the door. Instead, he took out the scroll that Tsuchihashi had given him.

The Lightning Release Chakra Mode sounded simple, but it was difficult to master.

After reading it, Hoshikawa found a problem.

He was too young, and his body hadn't fully developed. To train, he would have to wait two years.

But on the bright side, it wasn't completely useless.

The scroll provided a set of body-strengthening exercises that were more complex and effective than just running.

Hoshikawa put the scroll away and raised his hand to knock on the door.

A moment later, the door opened.

Tsunade was wearing a large nightgown, and it was clear she had just woken up.

"Good morning, Teacher," Hoshikawa greeted her.

"Hmm," Tsunade nodded slightly and suddenly extended her hand. "Here's a key."

"Why are there two keys?" Hoshikawa asked, confused.

The two keys, one large and one small, were clearly not for the same door.

"The other one is the key to the room next to mine," Tsunade said with a yawn. "If I'm not awake, you can go in and sleep."

"Teacher, you really didn't read the ninja code... Ouch, what was that for?" Hoshikawa said, but before he could finish, he was flicked on the forehead.

"You're the student. Why are you always trying to lecture your teacher?" Tsunade glared at him. "Go make me breakfast!"

"Yes." Hoshikawa took a few steps, then turned back and emphasized, "I'm not lecturing; I'm making suggestions!"

He said that and then quickly ran into the kitchen, not giving Tsunade a chance to reply.

"This kid!" Tsunade was stunned for a moment, then a smile appeared on her face.

She went back to her room, took off her nightgown, and revealed a perfectly proportioned, curvaceous body.

After changing into her clothes, Tsunade left the room and sat down at the dining table, tidying her hair as she waited.

She lifted her hands to gather her hair, revealing her fair neck. After a quick tie, her twin tails were formed.

Hoshikawa came out with the ramen and saw the last part.

He felt an urge to play with her twin tails.

But that was clearly an impossible thing to do.

"Beef ramen," Hoshikawa said, placing the ramen on the table.

"Where did you get the beef?" Tsunade asked, stirring the ramen with her chopsticks.

"I bought it on the way here," Hoshikawa said casually.

"Not bad, you've already learned to help out at home," Tsunade said with a light laugh.

"This isn't my home," Hoshikawa corrected her.

"You have a key. That makes it your home," Tsunade slurped up some ramen, leaving a faint sheen of grease on her soft lips.

Hoshikawa blinked.

What was that supposed to mean?

It was as if she was implying he was her kept man.

No, that's not right.

If you really thought about it, he was the one providing the money and the effort, so Tsunade was the one being kept.

"I thought you had the day off today. Why are you here again?" Tsunade asked, glancing at him.

"Because I'm a filial son," Hoshikawa said with a smile. "I was worried that my teacher wouldn't have anything to eat."

"I'm not that helpless yet," Tsunade rolled her eyes, a small smile on her face.

Tsundere is so outdated.

Her eye roll was pretty, but her expression wasn't quite there.

Hoshikawa quickly dismissed his chaotic thoughts.

"Anyway, since you're already here, how about you come to the casino with me?" Tsunade asked, changing the subject.

There it was! The legendary four famous phrases!

"Since you're already here," "It's the New Year," "They're just a kid," and "It's tough for everyone."

"But I'm just a kid," Hoshikawa replied with a magical retort.

His dad had told him to fight magic with magic.

"Then what are you planning to do?" Tsunade asked, slurping down the rest of her ramen without changing her expression.

"Train," Hoshikawa said after thinking for a moment.

"Training should be balanced with rest," Tsunade said, putting down her chopsticks. "How about this? I'll take you to visit someone."

"Where are we going?" Hoshikawa was a little curious.

Given Tsunade's social circle, there weren't many people she could visit.

Could it be Hiruzen Sarutobi?

"You'll see when we get there," Tsunade said with a mysterious smile. "I guarantee you won't be bored."

You're a riddle-talker. Get out of Konoha!

Hoshikawa got up to take her bowl and chopsticks.

"What's that reaction for?" Tsunade asked with some dissatisfaction.

"I'm going to do the dishes," Hoshikawa said, turning and walking into the kitchen.

Tsunade pouted.

She had realized that her student wasn't afraid of her at all.

It was so strange.

She wasn't exactly gentle, either.

A few minutes later, Hoshikawa followed Tsunade out the door.

After crossing a few streets, the path became increasingly secluded until there were no more passersby.

Hoshikawa was deep in thought.

So far away and so secluded, it must be Kushina Uzumaki.

"We're almost there," Tsunade said, looking up at a two-story wooden house.

"Tsunade-sama!" The next second, an excited voice rang out.

Kushina Uzumaki appeared before them.

She was moving so fast that her red hair was all flying backward.

"Kushina," Tsunade smiled and said, "This is..."

"Hoshikawa!" Kushina Uzumaki interrupted her. "Minato and I have met him before, but I had no idea he was your student."

"I just took him in," Tsunade said, a little taken aback.

"Welcome, little Hoshikawa," Kushina Uzumaki said, grabbing Hoshikawa's hand and walking while introducing things. "See that cherry blossom tree? Minato planted it!"

Tsunade sighed.

The number of people who were allowed to come here was very small. Besides her, there were only Hiruzen Sarutobi and Minato Namikaze.

Kushina Uzumaki was naturally lively, and seeing a new face made her incredibly excited.

"There's a peach orchard behind the house. If you come back in two months, you'll be able to eat fresh peaches," Kushina Uzumaki said, reaching out to stroke Hoshikawa's head. "There's also a swing. You can go play on it if you want."

Aren't you a little too enthusiastic?

Hoshikawa hadn't even had time to react before his head was being patted.

Damn it, is this what a jinchuriki is like?

Tsunade walked beside the two of them and pouted.

She, who was usually quite popular, was being neglected today.

They entered the living room.

Kushina Uzumaki pulled Hoshikawa to the sofa, and the topic turned to the final exams from a few days ago.

She asked with a curious expression, "How did you defeat Kakashi?"

"With a sword," Hoshikawa said casually.

"Details?" Kushina Uzumaki pressed.

Hoshikawa had no choice but to recount the story.

"That's so amazing!" Kushina Uzumaki said with an envious tone. "It's a shame I don't have a student."

She was the Nine-Tails jinchuriki and was destined not to be a squad leader.

As for a student, she wouldn't get one until the next Nine-Tails jinchuriki was chosen.

But it was hard to say if that person would be to her liking.

She found Hoshikawa to be very pleasing to the eye, mainly because he was good-looking.

"Are you interested in sealing jutsus?" Kushina Uzumaki's eyes suddenly lit up.

"Kushina, he's still too young to learn so many things," Tsunade said, unable to stop her from trying to steal her student. "He hasn't even gotten the hang of medical ninjutsu yet."

"That's true," Kushina Uzumaki said with an embarrassed smile. "We can talk about it when you're older."

"Okay," Hoshikawa quickly agreed.

Sealing jutsus were practically a cheat in the ninja world.

He would definitely learn it if he could.

But when he turned his head, he saw a murderous look on Tsunade's face.
