Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: The Resigned Tsunade

Chapter 47: The Resigned Tsunade

Danger!

Hoshikawa immediately expressed his loyalty, saying, "I only have one teacher in my heart."

The murderous aura on Tsunade's face instantly dissipated.

She folded her arms and thought to herself that this kid was quite sensible.

"It seems Tsunade-sama really likes Hoshikawa," Kushina Uzumaki said, looking from side to side.

"I don't," Tsunade said without changing her expression. "He's too mischievous."

Kushina Uzumaki just smiled and said nothing more.

She had known Tsunade for a long time and understood her very well.

"Minato didn't come today?" Tsunade asked, changing the subject.

"He's on a mission," Kushina Uzumaki said, waving her hand and joking. "Besides, even if he did come, I'd still have to spend time with you, Tsunade-sama."

"You're lying," Tsunade exposed her. "Who was it that ignored me last time?"

"Tsunade-sama, how about a game of cards?" Kushina Uzumaki coughed and asked.

"I'm going to win for sure!" Tsunade's spirits lifted.

"Really?" Kushina Uzumaki was skeptical.

They had played cards before, and Tsunade always lost.

"That was then," Tsunade snorted. "My luck has changed!"

Ever since she had Hoshikawa, she had been winning more than she lost at the casino.

"You guys wait for me," Kushina Uzumaki got up and went into the room.

Hoshikawa's mouth twitched slightly.

Tsunade clearly hadn't realized a problem.

Her luck had changed because she had brought him along.

But now that he was her opponent, he would no longer have that effect.

"I'm here!" Kushina Uzumaki reappeared with a deck of cards.

"Are we gambling for money?" Hoshikawa asked curiously.

"Gambling for money hurts our relationship," Kushina Uzumaki said, glancing at Tsunade. "We'll just use sticky notes."

"Let's begin," Tsunade said with confidence.

Kushina Uzumaki couldn't help but feel confused.

Where was this confidence coming from?

Seeing her expression, she started shuffling the cards.

"The first round was just an accident," Tsunade's smile soon froze, but she still insisted stubbornly.

"Hoshikawa," Kushina Uzumaki took out a strip of paper, blinked, and said, "Don't go easy on her just because she's your teacher."

"Don't worry," Hoshikawa promised. "I'm impartial."

"Tsunade-sama, a bet is a bet," Kushina Uzumaki said with a look of schadenfreude.

"I know," Tsunade pouted.

Due to their height difference, she voluntarily bent down.

Her sleeveless top immediately tightened, revealing her full chest.

Kushina Uzumaki subconsciously looked down at herself, and her smile vanished.

The comparison was too brutal.

Hoshikawa used all his willpower to not look down.

He looked at the beautiful and delicate face in front of him, reached out, and placed a sticky note on her chin.

Tsunade's eyes widened, already planning how to win it back later.

However, she realized she was overthinking it. The first round wasn't an accident; it was the beginning.

"With seventeen cards, how did you defeat me in one go?!" After losing for an hour straight, Tsunade was a little delirious.

"My apologies," Kushina Uzumaki shook her head.

"Damn it!" Tsunade said, gritting her teeth.

"How about we stop here?" Hoshikawa asked tentatively, looking at Tsunade, who was covered in sticky notes.

"No way!" Tsunade refused without hesitation. "No one is leaving today until I win a single round!"

Hoshikawa and Kushina Uzumaki exchanged glances, both seeing the helplessness in each other's eyes.

Maybe try cheating?

Hoshikawa's mind stirred, and he had an idea.

However, to his astonishment, when he tried to cheat, his cards were unbelievably good.

It was the kind of hand you couldn't lose with no matter how badly you played.

Time soon reached noon.

"I'm done playing!" Tsunade threw down her cards and leaned back, looking completely defeated.

The entire morning, she hadn't won a single round.

She finally understood that her luck changing was a lie. The one with good luck all along was Hoshikawa.

"I'll go make lunch," Kushina Uzumaki said, relieved.

She was genuinely worried that Tsunade would keep them playing cards all day.

"Do you need help?" Hoshikawa asked proactively.

"No need," Kushina Uzumaki said as she walked into the kitchen.

Hoshikawa turned to look at Tsunade.

She was now lying on the sofa like a limp snake.

"Teacher, let me take off the sticky notes for you," Hoshikawa said, kneeling down in front of her, his eyes unconsciously drawn to the tilting snowy mountains.

"You seemed pretty happy when you were putting them on," Tsunade said, her eyes narrowing.

"Didn't you say a bet is a bet?" Hoshikawa asked, gently peeling a sticky note from her face.

"A bet is a bet, but your act of disrespecting your teacher is a different matter," Tsunade said, suddenly smiling.

Hmph, women!

Hoshikawa sighed and said, "Go on, then."

"Go on with what?" Tsunade asked, confused.

"Aren't you going to get revenge on your student?" Hoshikawa paused. "Just don't touch my head."

Tsunade didn't hesitate to reach out and mess up his hair.

"..." Hoshikawa's expression was one of resignation.

Tsunade laughed heartily.

She's so radiant.

This was a huge win for him.

Hoshikawa thought to himself.

After lunch, the two of them went for a walk around the neighborhood with Kushina Uzumaki before saying their goodbyes.

It was a new day, and it was still part of the vacation.

Hoshikawa went to buy some exercise equipment.

In the original story, there was a scene of dumbbells being placed in the Raikage's office.

At the time, he thought the Raikage was just casually working out, but he hadn't expected it to be an actual training method.

"Where should I put this?" Hoshikawa said, looking at all the exercise equipment, deep in thought.

The equipment included small dumbbells, a large bench press, and so on.

Shinku Yūhi's house wasn't that big.

Maybe... Tsunade's house?

Her place wasn't just one house but a row of houses.

According to Tsunade, this was once the Senju clan's compound, and after it split, the houses were left empty.

As for whether it would be obvious, it wouldn't.

Because these exercises were very common.

The most crucial part of this physical training method was the chakra nourishment after the workout.

With that thought, Hoshikawa used a summoning scroll to store the equipment and went to Tsunade's house.

As expected, she hadn't woken up yet, but it didn't matter; he had a key.

After some busy work, everything was finally assembled.

Hoshikawa began his training according to the method in the Lightning Release Chakra Mode scroll.

A moment later, a new entry appeared.

[C-rank Ninjutsu Entry: Lightning Release Chakra Mode.]

[Trigger Condition: Introduction to the Lightning Release Chakra Mode.]

[Current Progress: 0%.]

It's a C-rank?

That meant just the introduction alone could reach the Chunin level.

The difficulty was high, but the hope was also high.

Hoshikawa was filled with motivation.

"What's this kid making so much noise for in the morning?" Tsunade woke up, got dressed, and went to the window.

She opened it and saw Hoshikawa training.

He had a serious expression, accelerating from a distance, jumping, and flipping over a high jump bar.

Tsunade watched for a few seconds before going back to sleep.

Two months passed by quickly, and it was soon the start of the school year.
