Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: Birthday Gift, an Ankle Bracelet

Chapter 95: Birthday Gift, an Ankle Bracelet

"Teacher, I'm leaving. I'll be back tomorrow morning."

Hanekawa stood in the entryway, putting on his shoes. He suddenly remembered something and reminded her, "Don't forget to look at the gift I gave you."

"Got it!"

Tsunade answered lazily, half-reclining on the sofa.

Slam.

The door closed.

The living room returned to its quiet state.

The smile on Tsunade's face gradually faded. She was used to Hanekawa's presence, and his sudden absence felt a little strange.

She sat up and took out the birthday gift he had given her earlier.

After unwrapping it, a necklace came into view, or more accurately, an ankle bracelet.

"What kind of random gift is this kid buying?"

Tsunade shook her head, a slight curve to her lips.

She took out the ankle bracelet. It was completely silver with no extra decorations, simple and unadorned.

Hanekawa had fully considered her identity as a ninja and had not chosen a gaudy ankle bracelet. One with bells was definitely out of the question.

Tsunade looked from side to side, then lifted her left leg and placed it on the edge of the sofa.

She leaned forward, her taut clothing outlining her full figure. The pressure caused her to squeeze tightly, pushing her form against the fabric.

Tsunade exposed her fair and well-proportioned calf. She unclasped the ankle bracelet and put it on her ankle.

She stood up and took a couple of steps on the floor with her bare feet.

There was no sound, and it didn't affect her walking at all.

"Not bad."

Tsunade didn't take it off.

It wasn't long before Hanekawa returned home.

As soon as he opened the door, he saw a small figure running towards him: Kurenai Yūhi.

She was barefoot, and her tiny feet made a crisp sound on the floor.

"Come on, come with me inside!"

Kurenai grabbed him and ran towards the room.

"What are you two doing?"

Her father, Shin Kurenai, heard the noise, and his expression changed slightly as he asked.

"I'm going to have him try on the clothes I bought."

Kurenai replied and stopped at the door.

You've never even bought clothes for me!

Shin Kurenai's mouth twitched, and he wore a look of utter defeat.

Hanekawa entered the room and took out Kurenai's gift.

It was a gray and black kimono.

The ninja world retained a lot of Japanese culture, and kimonos were one of them.

But Hanekawa had never worn one before.

Kimonos were cumbersome and not conducive to combat. Unless it was a festival, ninjas would not wear them. A manual was included, and Hanekawa quickly put on the kimono and walked out of the room.

"You really do look good!"

Kurenai looked him over carefully, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.

He's still just a little kid no matter how good he looks.

Shin Kurenai squinted, his eyes stinging with a bit of jealousy. Nothing special, he thought.

"Thank you."

Hanekawa stroked her head and said, "I like it a lot."

Kurenai smiled brightly.

After all, he was wearing it for her to see, and he did look quite pleasing to the eye.

"Alright, it's getting late. Time to wash up and go to bed."

Shin Kurenai couldn't watch any longer and couldn't help but interrupt.

"Okay."

Hanekawa nodded slightly.

Tonight was a birthday party at Tsunade's house, and he had done some extra training, so it was indeed quite late.

Hanekawa always went to bed early and never left the pressure for the next day.

The night passed without a word.

On a summer morning, the warm sunlight shone on the earth early.

Hanekawa walked down the street, feeling warm all over.

Soon, he arrived at Tsunade's house.

"Teacher."

Hanekawa raised his hand and knocked on the door.

A moment later, the door opened, revealing Tsunade's curvaceous figure.

Since she had just woken up, her golden hair was a mess, like a cat's puffed up fur.

Hanekawa's gaze moved downward, and he found the ankle bracelet he had bought.

It hung on Tsunade's ankle, clinging to her fair skin and adding a bit of sexiness.

"Go make breakfast."

Tsunade closed the door and turned to the wardrobe.

She took off her pajamas, becoming unclothed, and then put on the clothes from the bedside.

By the time she had finished her morning routine, breakfast was already made.

Hanekawa sat at the table, picked up his chopsticks, and casually opened the Entry System.

Two months had passed since school started.

During this time, he had gained two entries.

[D-rank Talent Entry: Earth Release Genin]

[Trigger Condition: Possess three Earth Release entries.]

[Effect: All Earth Release jutsu power is increased by 30%.]

The three Earth Release jutsus Hanekawa had learned were all from Kakashi Hatake.

The two had made a trade.

Because of Hanekawa's influence, Kakashi had focused on the Hatake family's kenjutsu and hadn't learned much Lightning Release.

So Hanekawa proposed a deal: he would teach Lightning Release, and Kakashi would teach Earth Release.

The D-rank entry "Earth Release Genin" was expected, but the other entry was a pleasant surprise.

[D-rank Talent Entry: Intermediate Chef]

[Trigger Condition: Reach a skilled level in cooking.]

[Effect: Food deliciousness is increased by 30%.]

Its only use was to earn Tsunade's praise.

After all, a 30% increase was not small, and the effect was quite noticeable.

After breakfast, the two headed to the Hokage building.

As soon as they entered, they ran into Sakumo Hatake.

"Uncle Sakumo."

Hanekawa took the initiative to greet him.

"It's you two."

A hearty smile appeared on Sakumo's face. "Long time no see."

"Did you come to see the old man?"

Tsunade raised an eyebrow and asked.

"Mhm."

Sakumo nodded and said, "Lord Hokage said he has a mission for me."

Hanekawa immediately felt that something was wrong.

Sakumo Hatake and Tsunade teaming up for a mission? What kind of hell difficulty is this?

What was he doing here? Was he going to be a cheerleader?

"We're probably on the same mission."

Tsunade chuckled and said, "I'm curious what kind of mission it is."

"Looks like a big problem."

Sakumo realized and said.

The three went upstairs and arrived at the Hokage's office.

Bang.

Tsunade, as usual, kicked the door open without hesitation.

Sakumo couldn't help but gasp.

He was a very standard ninja who valued rules in everything.

"You're here."

Hiruzen Sarutobi ignored Tsunade's action and said in a gentle tone.

He had gotten used to it; he could only feel bad for the door.

"What's the mission?"

Tsunade asked straightforwardly.

"A request from the Priestess Miroku of the Land of Demons."

Hiruzen took out his pipe. Just as he was about to take a puff, Tsunade snatched it away.

"There's a kid here. You can smoke after we leave."

Tsunade glanced at Hanekawa and said.

Hiruzen clicked his tongue and nodded helplessly.

Hanekawa was stunned.

Not because of Tsunade, but because of the mission.

In the original movie, The Death of Naruto (Naruto Shippuden the Movie), a Priestess of the Land of Demons was mentioned, but it wasn't Miroku, it was her daughter Shion.

The reason was that the Priestess of the Land of Demons had been sealing a monstrous foreign demon named Mōryō for generations.

Shion's mother, the previous priestess Miroku, had lost her life because of the seal.

As time passed, a former remnant of Mōryō, a medical ninja named Yomi, released it again.

The Land of Demons sought help from Konoha, and Tsunade sent Naruto Uzumaki, Rock Lee, Sakura Haruno, and Neji Hyūga to protect Shion.

Shion had the ability to foresee the death of others.

When she saw Naruto, she told him he would die at Mōryō's hands.

In fact, that was exactly what happened.

Many people complained that it was possibly due to the effects of the First Hokage's necklace.

But fortunately, Naruto had the protagonist's aura, was resurrected, and defeated and sealed Mōryō.

In addition to Mōryō, there was also Yomi's army of the undead.

In that mission, members of the Hidden Sand Village, like Gaara, also participated.

Looking at the timeline, it was now around the time Miroku died.

"According to Priestess Miroku, Mōryō possesses the power to destroy the ninja world."

Hiruzen continued, "This mission is classified as S-rank, and I'm assigning you all to go."

"Shouldn't this mission be given to Minato?"

Tsunade frowned slightly and said, "His sealing jutsu is well-suited to deal with this so-called foreign demon."

"Minato has gone to the Land of Lightning."

Hiruzen paused and said, "I've already sent someone to relay the message to him. He can use the Flying Thunder God Jutsu to get there if needed."

"Is there an issue with the Hidden Cloud Village?"

Sakumo asked with a serious expression.

"There is a small one."

Hiruzen didn't hide anything and said, "We've discovered that the young man who inherited the name 'A' has appeared at the border."

The Hidden Cloud Village had a very special rule that the strongest person in each generation would inherit the name 'A.'

The young man he was talking about was the future Fourth Raikage.

"No wonder."

A look of understanding appeared on Sakumo's face.

Inheriting the name 'A' meant he was the future Raikage.

His appearance at the border was certainly not for a simple vacation.

But since he wasn't the Raikage yet, it was very suitable to send Minato Namikaze to deal with him.

Hanekawa's heart stirred.

He remembered the first time Minato fought the Hidden Cloud's "A and B combo" mentioned in the original series.

'A' referred to the Fourth Raikage, and 'B' referred to the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, Killer B.

That was about two to three years before the Third Great Ninja War truly broke out.

The current situation seemed more like the Third Raikage was testing the A and B combo and also probing Konoha Village.

"Minato is just a last resort. Whether he goes or not is not a big deal."

Hiruzen smiled and said, "In fact, Priestess Miroku said she has a way to seal it, and all you need to do is protect her."

"Yes."

Sakumo agreed.

But Tsunade looked hesitant.

"Besides you, Priestess Miroku has also asked for help from other ninja villages. Currently, the Hidden Stone Village and the Hidden Mist Village have both agreed."

Hiruzen noticed Tsunade's expression and said, "No matter how strong Mōryō is, it's not as strong as a Tailed Beast. Don't worry too much."

"Just in case, old man, give me two Anbu teams."

Tsunade glanced at Hanekawa and said.

"Tsunade, you have to learn to let go."

Hiruzen laughed when he heard that.

He was actually happy to see this. The deeper the bonds, the more difficult it was to leave Konoha.

"Don't talk nonsense!"

Tsunade slapped the pipe on the table and said, "Two Anbu teams, not a single person less!"

"Go easy on it!"

Hiruzen snatched the pipe back with a pained expression and only sighed in relief after making sure it was okay.

An Anbu team, like a regular ninja team, consisted of four people. Two teams meant eight people.

"Take them with you."

Hiruzen waved his hand and said, "Come back early. Don't waste too much time."

He felt that the combination of Sakumo Hatake, Tsunade, and Minato Namikaze was enough to start a war. Fighting a demon was overkill.
