Chapter Fifty Three

Author's Notes: My account had been suspended…AGAIN! Why? Because someone didn't like the Glossary. It said that it wasn't related to Harry Potter. If it wasn't related to Harry Potter, then what the fuck was it related to? The Little Mermaid? Stupid fuck-wit Administrators.

Another note I want to mention. A reviewer actually made me realize this mistake. Lily is a Sorceress. And if she increases in power, she could become a Mistress, or a High Mistress. It's the same with Bellatrix and Narcissa.

About the George Bush thing, Faintly I can recall him being some kind of political figure back in the seventies in a small town I can't remember. My error, just ignore it.

To aaa, frankly, I couldn't give a shit what you think. I'm sick and tired of dealing with Dickheads like you. Piece of advice, if you don't like the story then don't read up to the 51st chapter to tell me. New rules, my story my writings. I'll listen to advice, but I will write this how I see fit.

"What?" The girls shrieked.

"So," Albus said. "Ms Evans, Ms Black and Ms Black somehow possessed your body, conjured a hallway full of unnecessary material then made you blast my wonderful gargoyle away."

"Hey! I didn't conjure the shit!" Harry protested.

"Oh but you did Harry." Albus said sternly. "I recall that you were shrieking like a lunatic as you sent splatters of that stuff everywhere then proclaimed very loudly that until you went through it, it couldn't be removed."

"Huh?" Harry said, one eyebrow rising in confusion. "I can't remember anything that happened in the last four days old man, SO BACK OFF AND STOP THAT FUCKING TWINKLING!"

"Harry!" Lily said, shocked. Harry was looking bewildered himself.

"Why the hell did I say that?" he asked himself.

Albus looked worried. "Are you feeling all right Harry?" he asked, concern etched on his face. "I know that it must have been very hard on you, but you should get used to it. You are a hero after all to these people and whatever they choose to do to make you feel appreciated can't be helped."

"What are you talking about?" Harry asked, mystified.

Albus hesitated. "Maybe we should take this into my office." He suggested.

Harry, Lily, Narcissa and Bellatrix all sat in Albus' office. It was very messy and several pieces of equipment had been broken. Also, Fawkes was bald, green and had a large boil on his arse.

"What the fuck happened to Fawkes?" Harry questioned.

"Language Fuckwit!" Lily snapped, then blushed as she realized what she had said. "I didn't mean that. Ooh! A stone! In a castle! Imagine that!"

"You happened to Fawkes." Albus responded bluntly. "I recall it having to do with a Muggle shaver, a can of paint and a hex."

"I did that?" Harry asked in astonishment. "Okay, I think it have a problem."

"Then tell me your problems, before I give you a detention." Albus said.

Albus leant back and stroked him beard. "Mmm." He murmured. "So you can't remember anything since Christmas."

"That's right. The last thing I remember is talking about rituals before…" Here Harry hesitated.

"I get the picture." Albus said hurriedly, not having any desires to hear about a teenager's sex life.

"The thing is, I thought that had all happened on Christmas. It sort of blended in until I woke up and realized that it had been four days, not one."

"I would suggest that you are under possession however your abilities in Occlumency would alert you if someone tried to possess you and Lily is naturally immune to possession as a Holy Elemental. I don't know what you have done." Albus said.

"Well that's just fucking great! You stupid arsehole, you did this Harry, I don't know how but you did! And the fucking Easter Bunny stole my Twinkies and the Moon is laughing at me!" Bellatrix screamed incoherently. Harry stared, startled as the raving witch. She stopped, paused and gasped. Groaning she put her head in her hands. "I'm really starting to hate this."

"Aren't we all?" Narcissa said dryly. "I have to agree that it's all Harry's fault. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have fallen in love. My life sucks! I'm pale, thin and gothic! Could I get any more of a loser?"

"Yeah, he's got me there as well. DAMN FUCKING SHINING BLUEBERRIES!" Bellatrix screamed. She sighed, annoyed.

"I have to agree with both of you. Hey, look at the donkeys!" Lily exclaimed, pointing at a wall. She frowned and pursed her lips. "Nah, it's just a speck of paint."

Harry and Albus were scared. Now, considering that they were considered some of the strongest wizards of the day, powerful in both Light and Dark Arts, Albus had defeated the Dark Lord Grindelwald, a powerful High Sorcerer, Harry had faced Lord Voldemort three times this past year and came out on top, that was saying something.

"Well that's not the best way to have a girl proclaim their love for you." Albus said finally.

"What the hell is going on? FOR FUCK'S SAKE, SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME OR I'LL BLOODY ADVADA YOUR ARSE!" Harry screamed angrily. He ran a hand through his hair and idly played with a silver streaked bang.

"From what I have seen, Bellatrix seems to suffer from fits of insanity, Lily seems to be distracted by the simplest things, Narcissa is in extreme self pitying mode and you have a temper problem." Albus said mildly.

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU SAY I HAVE?" Bellatrix suddenly shouted. Her violet eyes flashed as she regarded the two wizards.

"WE SAID YOU HAVE FITS OF INSANITY YOU STUPID BITCH!" Harry roared back.

Lily stared in astonishment, then her eyes widened. "Oh my God! It's a green eyed, black spotted gorilla!" she gasped in excitement.

Narcissa burst into tears. "I can't take this anymore!" She cried out, tears falling from her eyes. Lily immediately rushed over, and hugged her.

"Don't worry! I'll get green eyed, black spotted gorillas for everyone!" she reassured.

After a ten-minute fight between Harry and Bellatrix that eventually led to thirteen gallons of speckled potion, an electric toothbrush and four buckets of coat hangers, Albus calmed them down.

"What we need to do is find out the source of problem." Albus said, highly amused yet slightly reproachful. If they thought that the hallway of shit was bad, then they should see the incident that was being dubbed the great fork war of Hogwarts.

"I don't know what happened." Harry said exasperatedly. "Nice tattoo Bella." He muttered when Bellatrix did a handstand, her robes revealing a set of dark purple wings across her chest. "Wait a minute! A tattoo!"

"I recall Ms Evans having a tattoo when you performed the ritual." Albus said.

"She did…Wait! How did you know that?" Harry asked suspiciously.

"You told me. Two days ago, right before you transfigured every single piece if parchment in the castle into red gummy bears." Albus said while reaching into his pocket. Pulling out a red gummy bear he offered one to Harry, who declined.

"So, why am I here again?" Harry asked on confusion.

"I believe that we should add memory loss to your list in symptoms." Albus sighed.

"I did what know?"

After checkups with Madame Pomfrey, who was miffed that they hadn't come to her in the first place, she diagnosed them healthy and fit for classes. On the mental symptoms, she had no cases. "I would recommend you hire a specialist." She said.

Albus had taken that into advice, but had dismissed it. That would just send Harry into a rage, and the last thing Albus needed was the Ministry involved. They had been very close to arresting Harry for the death of those Death Eaters, but Albus had convinced them that they needed Harry as an ally, not an enemy. So Harry, Narcissa, Lily and Bellatrix were stuck in an isolated ward, shielded from prying eyes.

"I love you Harry!" Narcissa gushed, then burst into tears.

"You do?" Harry asked.

"So do I! I HATE STRAWBERYY MINCED SAUSAGES!" Bellatrix screamed.

"Harry, I love you t…isn't that odd? Look at that color! It appears to be white, white!" Lily said with her eyes wide open in amazement.

Harry quirked an eyebrow, before glaring at a bedpan that had insulted him…or so he thought.

"You talking to me?" he said softly, his eyes glaring. "I don't see anyone else around, so you must be talking to me. DIE!" Harry screamed in rage and a loud crack echoed through the room as a blinding purple and silver lance of magic erupted from his hand, and hit the bedpan from across the room. It quivered for a second and then exploded in a rain of debris. Harry smirked and blew on his fingers.

"Can we have sex?" Narcissa asked. Harry smirked, before closing his eyes and shaking his head. When he opened them, he appeared confused.

"Where am I?" He muttered in confusion.

"What about it Harry?" Narcissa purred, before sniveling and curling up in a little ball and weeping.

"THOSE DAMN BLUE LITTLE MEN FROM MARS WHO SHAVE USING BANANA'S!" Bellatrix screamed one second, then falling asleep the next.

"Look at the whiteness of it all! It makes me feel…WHITE! THE SUPREME EMPEROR OF WHITE SHALL REIGN!" Lily screamed.

Harry looked surprised. "Why do I get the feeling that I SHOULD BE FUCKING PISSED OFF?" He shouted to Narcissa, who only cried harder. Lily and Bellatrix, who woke up suddenly, jumped across the room and into Narcissa's bed. "Don't cry Cissa!" Lily said and patted her back.

"Yeah sis. It'll be alright, Harry's going to kill all little blue men." Bellatrix said.

Narcissa cried.

Bellatrix screamed.

Lily exclaimed.

And Harry asked himself at what time he had finally lost his sanity, before blasting the shit out of a pillow for making an obscene joke.

"They're getting worse." Poppy informed Albus. "Have you come up with anything?"

"I believe I have. I have extracted several memory strands from them, and have cracked open the memory charm. Here, watch. This happened the day after Christmas." Albus said and pointed to his Pensieve.

MEMORY

"Ready?" Harry asked.

"Yep!" Bellatrix uttered as she stripped off her shirt and smeared the necessary ingredients on. She blushed a little, but remained steady, her Slytherin pride not letting her show embarrassment.

"I'm waiting." Narcissa said, annoyed. It was the day after the attack, and Harry had promised to perform the ritual for them, the one that would boost them to Sorceress Status. Harry had explained that he could perform it well and it was well worth it. Added to the fact that then were then under the protection of Harry, risen to the ranks of sorceress and given new abilities, it was hardly a deal they would decline.

Harry began chanting, with Lily watching. The ritual was going as usual until the middle, when Harry suddenly sneezed during his incantation. Instantly, the magic became unstable and Bellatrix and Narcissa cried out as they were overcome by pain that Harry couldn't hold back anymore. Harry began furiously chanting, his voice rising above the roar of magic. Briefly, he saw Lily get hit out of the corner of his eye by a stray spark of magic, and she was blown back from the force. Harry was sweating, trying to take control of the ritual. He felt the magic connect with him again, and with a huge shove, positioned the magic back to its original designs.

Narcissa and Bellatrix crumpled to a heap, and Harry rushed over.

"Are you okay?" he asked, worry in his voice. Narcissa nodded from the ground, then screamed as a bolt of magic, then remnants of the ritual, exploded. Harry vaguely heard Lily shout something, before he was knocked unconscious.

Lily's eyes widened and she fumbled her wand, before yelling the first thing that came to her mind, a bunch of nonsense words. The magic disappeared, but not before a single strand escaped into Harry, Narcissa and Bellatrix, who were all knocked unconscious. Lily ran over, but saw a flash of silver as a strand entered her and dropped to the ground.

MEMORY OVER

"What was that?" Madame Pomfrey asked curiously.

"I believe I know what happened." Albus said, his eyes twinkling.

A/N- CLIFFHANGER! WANT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS, Well so do I. I haven't got a clue what I'm going to do, so the next chapter might be a little later than usual. Also, read my new story, a Harry/Blaise. It's a little less serious in most parts, but some are quite serious, such as Harry getting hit by 46 Cruciatus Curses, at the same time.

Chapter Fifty Four

Author's Notes: Sorry for the long update and I hope you enjoy it. There are only a few more chapters until the sequel, Harry's summer and seventh year.

"What is it?" Poppy asked.

Albus' eyes twinkled. "It appears that Harry tried to perform a ritual. Unfortunately there was a slight mishap."

"But I scanned the patients several times. There's nothing wrong with them." Poppy said, confused.

"That's because there is nothing wrong with them. The charms failed because it does not see the result as a sickness or ailment." Albus explained.

"Then what is it?" Poppy said exasperated.

"A magical bond." Albus said simply, eyes twinkling.

"What! I thought a few people in the world could only perform them."

"You are right." Albus said as he stroked his beard. "But the connection between Harry and the girls as he performed the rituals along with the burst of raw magic Lily cast forged it. Such a connection can only be performed by the best intentionally. Harry did it out of luck. His inner magic knew something was happening that wasn't meant to so it tried to stabilize the magic by equaling it all out. By doing that, he cast a bond."

"So…why are they acting peculiar?" Poppy asked.

"Because my dear, the magic needs to be stabilized. They can't control themselves. All they need is a strengthening charm." Albus said happily.

"That's all?" Poppy asked in disbelief. "I'll be right back."

Sure enough, as soon as the charm was cast the behaviors instantly ceased to flare up. As the magic settled, Harry, Lily, Bellatrix and Narcissa could feel a certain tingle at the back of their minds. Harry could feel the heartbeats and the emotions of Narcissa and Bellatrix. He couldn't feel Lily's, probably because of her extensive mental shields.

"Damn!" Harry groaned as memories of the past week flooded him. With his emotions on haywire, he had done a lot of stupid things. Luckily, hardly anybody had seen them as most students were away. Albus had said that he would silence those who did know, which made Harry think that he was either going to kill them, chop them up, feed the pieces to the Giant squid then sell the rest to a vampire colony, or use memory charms.

"You're telling me!" Lily said as she woke up. "I thought you said these things were safe."

"Well, I wasn't planning on sneezing. And I never said that rituals were safe." Harry retorted.

"Whatever."

The days past quickly by once they were cured. The girls were a little anxious about the magical bond. Apparently, as Albus had told Harry with twinkling eyes, they were equivalent to a marriage. So a little anxiety was expected. Harry had slept outside the Slytherin Common Rooms for two days before Narcissa and Bellatrix had grudgingly let him in. Lily had had an almost-nervous breakdown. She had kept muttering things about being married to her son, or what she was going to do. Harry had avoided her for a while, as she seemed happy enough to hurl curses at him. The event that bought them all back together was when Narcissa and Bellatrix returned to their house to get their belongings.

Narcissa looked at her sister anxiously. They were at the entrance of their household. Slowly, Bellatrix knocked. Both sisters were alone and had their hands on their wands. The door opened and Regulus showed himself.

"You!" he snarled angrily. "Blood traitors!"

"Yes, us." Narcissa snapped. "We're here for our clothes. Then we'll leave."

"Too bad. Mother wants to see you." Regulus said smugly. He dragged them inside and slammed the door shut. Leading the girls to the dining room, they found that the entire Black Family was there. All their Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and kin were in the room. All were glaring angrily or muttering to each other about the traitors.

"NEVER HAVE I BEEN SO ASHAMED!" Mrs. Black shouted. "3 TRAITORS, 3 MUDBLOOD TRAITORS IN MY HOME!"

"Traitors?" Bellatrix scoffed. "You're the traitors! Betraying your own family for one man. A Halfblood at that as well. You-Know-Who isn't as strong as he thinks and one day he'll be killed, leaving us all disgraced and dead."

"Really?" came a cold and high-pitched voice. Bellatrix looked past her Mother and gasped. The color fled her face and she took a hesitant step backwards. Sitting in a giant chair, encrusted with jewels was a thin and pale man with red gleaming eyes. "So I'm going to die, am I?"

Narcissa gulped and tried to back away, only to bump along the wall, emitting a small shriek.

"You will die, Tom, I assure you." Came an old wizened voice.

"And it'll be very soon if we have anything to do with it." Came another voice. Calmly, Harry and Albus strode into the room with looks of determination on their faces.

FLASHBACK

Harry was with Lily for the day. Narcissa and Bellatrix were strangely absent for some reason. Both Harry and Lily were in the library looking up whatever books they could find on magical bonding.

"Here!" Lily called and Harry rushed over, brushing over the glare Madame Prince gave him.

"What's it say?" he asked the redhead.

"It says…Magical bonding is a rare occurrence when performed accidentally. Indeed, many people have actually been killed when trying to perform these on purpose, the dangers of performing one without intent is much worse." Lily paused and glanced through the book. "It mainly just says stuff about the dangers."

"What about the effects?" Harry pressed the witch.

"Wait a second." Lily commanded and flipped through the book. After a few moments she grinned, "Here we are. It says…the effects of magical bonding are advantageous to those who have one; therefore many people try to complete one. In all cases of bonding there is always one transmitter and one or more receivers. The Transmitter is the person who controls the bond. They created the bond and can extend it to several others if they wish. Receivers are very limited in how they can control the bond. They are able to send a message through the bond to ask for magical strength, they are able to send a signal through the bond to act as a tracking charm and they are able to 'borrow' some gifts of the transmitter for temporary use. Bonding has been very popular in the Wars of the Wizarding World, letting soldiers feed off the transmitter and become stronger. Incidentally, the transmitter can also feed off their receiver's, but this can lead to severe repercussions as it is usually the receivers who are weaker than the transmitter's and it takes more magic to collect or give magic to others than most would probably receive. The Transmitter has the ability to focus on their link and see what their receivers are seeing. The Transmitter can also summon the receivers to him by sending a signal through the symbol that is usually associated with the bond. This signal alerts the receiver a location to Apparate, making this an effective and untraceable way of gathering their people." Lily stopped reading.

"Sounds like the Dark Mark," Harry said thoughtfully. "It also sounds useful."

"Yeah. Hey, see if you cans see where Cissa is." Lily said.

"Nah." Harry waved it off. "Let's get some lunch first."

"Yes!" Lily snapped.

"Okay." Harry said slowly. "Let's not upset the angry redhead."

"What do you mean by that?" Lily demanded.

"What do you mean?" Harry asked.

"The redhead comment. Are you saying that I have a bad temper?" Lily shouted.

"I was saying that you have red hair actually." Harry commented. Lily blushed slightly and sat down. "But you do have a bad temper." He finished.

"Hey!" Lily protested.

"Relax, I wouldn't have you any other way." Harry said and smiled crookedly at Lily. Lily rolled her eyes and muttered something about manipulative smiles. Harry snorted but started focusing on Narcissa and Bellatrix. Images flashed in his head but one stood out. It was a dark doorway, one that looked very familiar. It took a second to identify but when he did he leapt out of his seat.

"Stay here!" he ordered the confused Lily and dashed off.

"ALBUS!" he shouted as he reached the Gargoyle that had automatically jumped out of the way for him. Whether it was because it recognized him as a frequent visitor or because a few days ago it had been blown up by the same guy, who knows?

"Yes Harry?" question Albus as he looked up from his desk.

"Narcissa and Bellatrix are about to do something stupid. What's the fastest way from here to Grimmauld Place, London?"

"…Fawkes would be. Why is this necessary?" Albus inquired as he rose from his seat.

"I have a feeling that Voldemort is at Grimmauld Place resting. Earlier in the year I heard Narcissa saying that Voldemort had popped up there once in a while. Even if he isn't, their family won't let them leave alive." Harry explained rapidly.

Albus nodded seriously, twinkle absent and the look of the powerful wizard he was. "Fawkes!" he called and a whirl of red and gold streaked through the air before resting on Albus' shoulder. Albus held Harry's hand and told Fawkes. "Grimmauld Place."

Harry saw Fawkes flash into flames before an invisible line that tugged dragged him at his nose. He was thrown into a swirling vortex of flames. It was incredible. There were swirling colors everywhere, so unlike apparition where you were standing one spot then reappearing instantly in another. But the best thing was the feelings. He felt safe and content. A warm feeling burst into his heart as Fawkes sang wildly. What seemed like hours but was only seconds later, he reappeared in front of Grimmauld place.

"Do you enjoy the trip?" Albus asked with humor at the dazed look on his students face.

"Yeah." Harry muttered, trying to hold onto the warm feelings that were escaping him before he realized why he was there. "There's the door."

"I don't see anything." Albus said after looking to where Harry's finger was pointing.

"Why not?" Harry asked.

"Most likely it is spelled for members of the Black family only." Albus said.

"But I'm not…"

"Your magical bond with Bellatrix and Narcissa make you a member of the Black family." Albus interrupted. "We should hurry."

Harry and Albus walked up to the door and knocked. A minute later Regulus opened the door. His eyes widened and he tried to slam the door shut but Harry blocked it with his foot.

"Where are they?" Albus asked coldly. Regulus seemed to shake and jerked his head towards the innards of the house.

"Let's go." Harry said and muttered a quick spell that sent Regulus into a deep sleep. Together the two wizards walked into the house. It was the same as Harry remembered it from his experiences. Walking through the dark hallway he crept past the portrait, trying not to wake it up. Albus followed suit and they crept towards the doors at the end.

"So, I'm going to die am I?" said a cold and familiar voice. Albus and Harry exchanged looks.

"Damn!" Harry muttered.

"Well Harry, at least when I'm around you I'm never bored." Albus remarked.

"Gee, thanks." Harry said sarcastically and with a determined look walked in.

FLASHBACK OVER

"You two. Can you never leave me alone?" Voldemort said, crimson eyes boring into his two enemies. The rest of the Black family seemed to be startled into silence.

"Hell no." Harry said casually. "Accio Narcissa and Bellatrix's stuff!" he cried. A smash was heard from upstairs and several pieces of clothing, items, books and trunks zoomed into the room. With a quick wave of his wand, they all packed themselves neatly.

"We'll just be leaving now." Harry said.

"I think not." Voldemort said frostily.

"I think so Tom. Do not think you can defeat us both. Harry grows stronger each day and I myself am no easy pushover." Albus warned. His blue eyes were shining with power.

"ADVADA KEDAVRA!" Half the Black family cried at once. Over thirty green beams soared at Harry and Albus, who both just flicked their wands. The ground rumbled and a huge slab of rock erupted from it, forming a wall that shielded Bellatrix, Narcissa, Harry and Albus from the curses. When it was destroyed, all were gone from the household, never to return by choice.

Chapter Fifty Five

"What did you think you were doing?" Harry asked as soon as they reappeared at Hogwarts. Both girls looked down, ashamed at themselves. "You could have been killed, or worse!"

"Harry, please calm down. They have had an eventful day." Albus said softly. Harry sighed and raked a hand through his hair.

"Look, next time talk to me if you want to go do something potentially dangerous."

"We don't need you as a parent!" Bellatrix snapped.

"I'm not offering to be one!" Harry growled back. "It's so I can come with you."

Narcissa nodded dutifully. "Anyway, what now? We've been disowned. Where can we live?"

Albus looked thoughtful as he pondered the question. "I believe that you could always stay at Hogwarts for the summers. If not, I am willing to buy you a house at Hogsmeade for the four of you."

"That seems awfully nice of you." Bellatrix said. "What's the catch?"

"Oh, there is no catch." Albus said lightly and chuckled at the disbelief on the Black's faces.

"Then why would you spend all that gold on us?" Narcissa asked smoothly.

"I am not lacking wealth and you do need a place to stay." Albus said.

"Albus is friends with Nicholas Flamel. He's the only Alchemist to hold a philosophers stone, an item that gives Immortal life and unlimited gold." Harry explained. "He has enough gold to last a lifetime."

"Harry? Harry, are you in there?" Came a voice from behind the Headmasters.

"Yeah, come in Lily!" Harry called.

Lily came storming in, angry that he had left her alone without telling her where he was going. She opened her mouth to begin a rant before she spotted the Headmaster in the room as well as Bellatrix and Narcissa. "Oh." She said.

"It seems that these two decided to go back to the Black Manor and pick up their stuff. What they didn't expect was Voldemort to be there." Harry said.

Lily narrowed her eyes at the two girls. "I see." She said.

"It has been an eventful day for all of us, I say we go to the Great Hall and have some lunch." Albus suggested. Harry nodded in agreement.

The Christmas holidays were soon over. Bellatrix and Narcissa had been yelled at for leaving by Lily and were properly ashamed of themselves. Harry had lectured them on safety until he had finally gotten the message through to them by using simple words that even a troll could understand. Harry hated Voldemort. Voldemort hated Harry. Voldemort wanted to hurt and kill Harry. Bellatrix and Narcissa are Harry's friends. Harry's friends plus hurt equals sad and hurt Harry.

Soon classes were running at Hogwarts and homework was piling up. Harry and the group spent many a night in the Slytherin common room finishing articles and essays and a broad range of subjects. The Professors were beginning to get them ready for the NEWTS, which were next year. Even Harry, with all his knowledge, was hard pressed to continue his high standards but he managed somehow.

Rodolphus and his Slytherin Hierarchy had been strangely silent. They would avoid Harry's supporters and slink away when Harry would come near. Harry didn't know whether to be glad that they were leaving him alone, or cautious when he realized that they were planning something big and he probably wouldn't like it. He started bewitching his half of the Common Room with safety spells, wards against harmful intruders, locking spells and other useful protection spells. Better safe than sorry.

The Marauders had started their reign of terror again. They had been oddly subdued for the first half of the year but were now pranking at record speeds. There were at least four pranks a day and Harry had to say he was impressed with them all.

Narcissa, James, Sirius and Remus had all been called up from DADA one day. Their elemental tutors had arrived and they spent hours learning how to control their elements. Harry didn't know how James, Sirius and Remus were doing but Narcissa was doing very well. She could control the basics of air and water easily and was mixing them together to create her primary element, Ice.

So life at Hogwarts was secure and tranquil. Harry actually appreciated the fact that every two weeks there wasn't a duel he had to fight in. He kept his training of the three girls up to date but tried to stay out of fighting, wanting a chance to live peacefully at once. He knew why Voldemort had been so feared in the future, because he had started his attacks again over the Wizarding population. For some reason he was staying away from the Muggles, but Albus and Harry believed that it was because that he had plans that he could only complete by attacking wizards. Over 17 witches and Wizards lost their lives in the span of a fortnight. However, apart from the daily reports, Hogwarts was at peace.

However, the peaceful calm that had descended over Hogwarts was disturbed as an event Harry should have known was happening occurred involving Severus and Remus.

Harry walked down the Hallway towards the library. It was almost curfew and he wanted to quickly borrow a book before the library closed. As he was walking, he heard mutterings outside from the window. He cocked his head and listened in.

"So, what did you do?" James asked.

Sirius grinned. "I'll tell you what happened." He said eagerly.

FLASHBACK

Sirius was standing behind a statue of Godric Gryffindor, eagerly awaiting the results of his prank. As an unsuspecting student walked by, he pulled the string. A large vat of honey was emptied from the ceiling. The student yelled as he was covered with a sticky substance. Sirius chortled and pulled the second string. Feathers were conjured and were blown down the corridor, sticking on the student. He quickly looked around and his grin widened. It was Snivellius.

"Hey Snivellius!" he shouted. "Nice outfit."

From behind the white feathers and orange honey, Severus glowered at the Gryffindor. "Shut up Black!" he spat out.

"What's wrong? Don't like looking like a weird animal?" Sirius taunted.

"Shut up!" Severus snarled before his black eyes gleamed. "And tell me about Lupin."

Sirius stiffened. "Remus? What do you want to know about him?" he asked casually.

Severus saw the teen stiffen and smirked. He waved his wand and muttered some cleaning charms and vanishing spells and he was soon returned to his normal state. "Why does he leave school every month? Why does he look so sick? Why does he always have strength that no normal humans should have?" Severus' black eyes were boring into Sirius's, who looked away.

"You really want to know why?" Sirius asked, a plan forming in his mind.

"Of course I do Black." Severus snarled.

Sirius grinned wickedly. "The answers you seek are at the Willow tunnel. Press down on a knot of branches to remove the defenses it has and open the tunnel. There you will find all the answers you need."

Severus scowled. "Don't try to trick me Black!" he hissed angrily.

Sirius shrugged and looked away. "Whatever. I told you what you needed to do to find answers. It's up to you if you go ahead and do it." He walked away, leaving a disgruntled Severus behind.

FLASHBACK OVER

"That's a good one." James snorted. Suddenly he looked very serious. "Did he go?"

Sirius shrugged. "Who cares?" he asked. "If he did, then that's one Slytherin Snake gone."

James looked furious. "How could you?" he shouted. Lowering his voice, his eyes darted around, searching for listeners.

"What?" Sirius protested. "Don't tell me you care about Snivellius?"

"Of course I don't you fool!" James hissed. "But if Remus mauls him then he could be executed!"

Sirius paled. "Shit! I didn't think of that!" he groaned.

"It sounds to me like you didn't think at all!" Harry snapped as he revealed himself from his position at the window. James ad Sirius whirled around. "Now we have to stop Severus being eaten by a werewolf. Good fucking job Black."

"How do you know Remus is a Werewolf?" James asked worriedly.

"I'm not stupid you know." Harry said angrily. "I have eyes, ears and a brain and I use them, unlike Black."

"Look, we have to stop Snape!" James said. "We better hurry!"

The three boys sprinted across the Hogwarts grounds. The sky was dark and the full moon was up. They could hear howls from the forest and in the distance; they could see Snape opening the Whomping Willow up.

"Fuck!" James cursed.

"Snape!" Sirius hollered. "STOP!"

Severus either couldn't hear them or wasn't paying attention as he jumped in the passageway. The tunnel sealed shut and the Whomping Willow creaked back to life as the three boys reached it. Sirius prodded the knot of branches and the tunnel opened with a creak. James hesitated and Harry rolled his eyes before jumping in with his wand out.

"Lumos!" Harry muttered and the tip of his wand lit up, providing light for the tunnel. Up ahead he could see another wand tip that was lit. He looked back up and saw he frightened faces of Sirius and James.

"Are you coming?" He asked silkily. James and Sirius looked at each other before James sighed.

"Look, we're both illegal Animagus'." he said. "So don't freak out. Werewolves only attack humans for food so we're safe. You grab Snape and we'll try to calm down Moony."

"Fine. Let' go!" Harry said urgently

The two boys jumped down and lit their wand tips too. They jogged along the path, searching for either Snape or Remus. Suddenly, they heard a scream of terror and the tapping of footsteps, as well as a deep growl that echoed in the tunnel.

"Lumos Illimini!" Harry muttered and from his wand tip came a beam of light, like a torch that lit up where it was pointed. Harry quickly saw Severus running towards him and a dark creature following him.

Severus cautiously opened the door to the ruined house. There was destroyed and chewed furniture everywhere. The door creaked and Severus inwardly winced as he muttered a silencing charm. He peered cautiously into the next room and saw nothing. Severus scoffed. Black was lying, just another prank to get him into trouble. He looked around at the gloomy house. Where was he? He looked at the boarded windows, the locked door and suddenly with a pang of fear he realize he knew where he was. He was in the shrieking shack. Black had sent him to the most haunted building in Britain! Cursing the stupid Gryffindor, Severus slowly backed out of the room and returned to the tunnel. As he was about to jump down he saw something in the corner of his eye moving. He looked up and saw a large wolf, with a snarling mouth, grey fur and saliva dripping from its teeth. He did the only logical thing he could think of at the time. He screamed. He quickly dropped down into the tunnel and dashed towards the other end. He could hear snarling as the Werewolf followed him. Suddenly a beam of light illuminated in front of him and he saw the surprised features of Harry and strangely, Potter and Black.

Harry aimed his wand and muttered. "Stupefy!" A red beam erupted from his wand and sizzled through the air. The Werewolf slowed down and jumped to the left, avoiding the hex.

"RUN!" James yelled. He morphed into a large stag and stood on its rear legs, it's front hooves up at a defensive position. Sirius was gone and replaced by a large black bear sized dog. Both animals moved to intercept the Werewolf and Harry quickly dragged Severus away.

They both jumped out of the hole as quick as they could and collapsed in a heap.

"Stupid Black!" Severus hissed between breaths. "He set a werewolf on me…wait a minute…Lupin's a werewolf!"

"Very good Mr. Snape." Said a wise old voice as Albus Dumbledore appeared into view. Suddenly Sirius and James jumped out of the hole and closed it.

"That was close!" Sirius said to James, who was staring behind him.

"Too close Mr. Black." Albus said, the twinkle gone. "My Office. Now!"

Chapter Fifty Six

As Albus led Sirius, Harry and Severus up to his office, Harry and Severus were having a muttered conversation.

"Lupin is a werewolf!" Severus hissed at Harry, who rolled his eyes.

"I know." He said simply.

Forgetting that he was a Slytherin known for his composure, Snape gaped at him.

"How?"

"Like I said to James, I have ears, eyes and brains and I know how to use them." Harry said cryptically.

Severus shook his head. "Oh Lupin's done for now. He's going to be expelled!"

Harry stopped walking and gave Severus a piercing stare. "Severus, no!"

"What? You're sticking up for the werewolf?" Severus protested.

"Don't tell anybody about Remus." Harry ordered, his green eyes boring into the obsidian ones of Severus. "Trust me, he will be important in the future."

Severus looked furious and nodded stiffly. "Very well!" he hissed angrily as they reached the Headmasters office. "But only because I trust you."

"Gee thanks Sev." Harry said happily. "That means so much to me."

Severus sniffed and walked up the stairs. Harry smirked and followed him. He entered the Headmasters office and sat down next to Severus. Sirius was standing and his eyes were carefully aimed at the wall as Albus sighed and looked extremely disappointed.

"Mr. Black, your actions today were rash, horrible and too stupid for mortal words to express." Albus started his lecture. "That was the most horrible and despicable thing I have ever heard you do to another student."

Sirius flinched and Harry leant over and whispered to Snape, "I really wouldn't want to be him right now."

Albus gave Harry a warning look, before turning back to Sirius. "Three Hundred points will be removed from Gryffindor. You will serve detention for one month. You position on the Gryffindor Quidditch team is forfeit for the rest of your education at Hogwarts. Now get out of my office." He finished coldly and Sirius practically bolted from the room, leaving an angry Albus and an outraged Severus.

"WHAT! HE ALMOST GOT ME KILLED AND HE ONLY GETS DETENTION?" Severus burst out in outrage.

"What would you have me do, Mr. Snape?" Albus asked calmly, his anger fading as he sat down while sucking on a lemon drop.

"Expel him!" Snape burst out, red splotches on his cheeks as he showed more emotion than Harry had ever seen him do before.

"So he can return to the Blacks?" Harry scoffed. "They would crucify him and he'll be dead by the end of the week."

Severus paused at that, his face ashen as he struggled to form words.

"Severus, think. If we expel him, Voldemort will hunt him down. The Heir to the Black fortune that doesn't support him is a dangerous opponent financially. There is no way that Sirius can be removed as Heir unless he is killed." Harry spoke.

Severus still looked angry, but he had calmed down slightly. "Fine!" he spat. "But if he comes near me again…I'll see how good my Killing Curse is!" and with that he strode angrily from the room, his robes billowing away from him as he stormed down the stairs.

Harry was left alone with Albus. "Do you really think he meant that?" Harry asked.

"I believe it was a statement made in anger." Albus replied thoughtfully. "But I do suggest that Mr. Black stay away from Mr. Snape, just in case."

Harry nodded and stood up. "Anyway, have a good sleep…I won't be with Severus raving in my ear till midnight."

Albus was still chuckling as Harry left his office.

As he walked into the Slytherin Common Room, he carelessly ducked a ray of purple and took in the situation. Narcissa, Bellatrix, Severus, Louise and Lily (Who was a regular customer in the Slytherin room) were all standing on the half dubbed to 'The Rebels' with their wands out. On the other side were the bulk of the Slytherin Hierarchy, all leveling glares and threatening looks. Rodolphus and Rabastan were looking very smug.

"Listen you little runts." Rodolphus was saying. "We have put up with your pathetic attempts to rebel, but this is it. I am tired of having to deal with you every time I walk down my stairs. Surrender and we will go easy on the rest of them…continue to resist and…Riddle!"

"That's right." Harry said calmly. He flicked his wand and the student who tried to curse him was thrown back with tremendous force. "So, what did I miss?"

"Oh, nothing much." Lily said carelessly. "Just the usual, 'We're better than you' crap, followed by some, 'Blood matters', and finished by the whole 'Surrender and we'll go easy' garbage."

"Shut up Mudblood!" Rabastan hissed.

Lily rolled her eyes sarcastically. "Excuse me while I go to the corner and cry." She snapped.

"Wow. That was quite the Slytherin statement." Narcissa said, raising a pale eyebrow.

"It was not." Lily snapped.

"Was too."

"Was not."

"Shut up." Bellatrix murmured. The usual happy girl was now in what Harry dubbed, 'Future mode', where she had that psychotic look come into her eyes. "So what is it Lestrange, willing to duel?"

Rodolphus hesitated, not wanting to seem weak in front of his 'followers', but not wanting to attack the six.

Louise smirked at his hesitation. "You know Bella, I don't think he wants to." She sneered.

Bellatrix acted shock, clutching her chest dramatically. "What, after we all got so prepared for some fun?"

"Pity, I was looking quite forward to wounding so many of you tonight." Severus sneered. Obviously he was still quite angry and looking for an outlet to pour his rage into.

Rodolphus snapped and raised his hand. "GET THEM!"

Bellatrix leaped forward, her wand whizzing as rapid fire bursts of yellow light struck the first few Hierarchy members. Narcissa quickly stepped back, her lips muttering while icy winds roared at the ranks, the arctic chill causing many of them to drop their wands due to the numbness. Beams of light flew past the group's head as curses flew from the ranks. Dark magic literally stank the air as the curses exploded on chairs, tables and walls. Lily and Louise were shielding Bellatrix and Severus, both who were attacking with fury and vigor. Harry was just standing back, his wand swishing occasionally as he let loose a small bursts of lightning that would effectively knock down an opponent.

The common room flashed as Narcissa finished her runes, and a powerful blue dome rose up from the floor and covered the Rebel half. All curses suddenly bounced off and people from both sides had to duck as their own spells were returned to them.

"Well, it seems that it's a stalemate." Harry said as he plopped himself down in a seat. Gesturing towards the others, he waited until they were all seated. "Which is something I don't like."

Rodolphus sneered at the Riddle boy as his servants revived and used minor healing spells on the injured. "The Dark Lord will…" He began.

Riddle cut him off. "You know what, I'm sick OF HEARING ABOUT THE FUCKING DARK LORD! GET IT INTO YOUR FUCKING SKULLS THAT HE DOESN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOU!"

Rodolphus jumped back in surprise and no little bit of fear. He had never seen Riddle raise his voice or look so angry before. Even his friends were looking at him with startled glances. Riddle smiled mockingly as he stood up.

"So I've decided that this pathetic little grudge that you seem to hold will stop. Your stupid and moronic Hierarchy will fall tonight. Rodolphus, I challenge you and your brother to a duel. The winner will get leadership of whatever faction he controls." Riddle smirked at the end.

Rodolphus was stunned, scared and angry at the same time. Stunned, because this was a bold and daring move, scared because he knew that if he refused then he would lose tremendous respect and angry because a stupid Half blood was challenging his reign. He shot a look at his brother, who was looking wary amongst the mutterings and hisses of the common room. If he refused, then he would be breaking old Pureblood rules of honor that had been in his family for centuries. If he accepted, he knew that he couldn't last long. Then again, with his brother there with him, he might have a better chance. He had no choice. Opening his mouth, he made his decision.

"Who's your second?" Rodolphus asked, a resigned look in his sharp eyes.

Harry smiled victoriously as he turned and eyed his friends. "Severus. Yours?"

Rodolphus sized up his friends. "Avery." He said at last.

Harry nodded. "Fine." He said. He waved his wand sharply, and a long, wide wooden plank suddenly extended from the floor. The blue dome that shielding the room sparkled and glistened as it extended and retracted at certain spots, until it formed a protective shield around the dueling platform. Harry walked forward, through the shield and stepped at one end of the platform. Rodolphus and Rabastan stood at the other end, wands out. Avery stood behind them as Severus stood behind Harry.

"Ladies, if you will?" Harry asked. Lily exchanged bemused looks with Louise, Bellatrix, Narcissa, before raising her wand. Both parties waited for the signal.

BANG!

As the noise echoed throughout the room, Rodolphus jumped forward, his wand slashing the air. Rabastan kept back, protection charms leaping off his lips. Harry jabbed his wand in the air as several beams and spikes of colored magic lanced towards him. A silver bubble suddenly burst out of his wand and floated towards the ceiling, leaving Harry unprotected. Rodolphus' eyes gleamed as he prepared for victory. As the curses neared, they suddenly veered off course and were sucked into the silver bubble with a loud smacking noise. This all happened within two seconds of the duel.

"STUPEFY!" Rodolphus cried out. A scarlet beam flashed through the air, but suddenly exploded in a shower of red sparks as it neared Harry, who cocked an eyebrow in amusement.

"Incendio!" Rodolphus tried again. The splatters of flames were extinguished with just a slight wave of Harry's wand.

"TENTE ALLAFARGA!" Rodolphus shouted. A dark purple fireball exploded from his wand, giving off an eerie light when mixed with the glowing pale blue light from the shield that flickered over the room. Harry slashed his wand, jumping forward and the fireball hit the tip of his wand as he met it. It suddenly started shrinking, being sucked into the wand. Harry smirked as he batted away the next four curses, each reeking with more and more dark magic. Rabastan started sending off spells as well. Harry was on the defensive, lazily blocking, shielding, dodging and deflecting curses. After a few minutes, he finally decided to finish it. Ducking swiftly, he sprinted forward with his wand help up. A flash of bright yellow light and the cry of pain was all that signified that Rabastan had just been knocked out of the duel.

"CRUCIO!" Rodolphus screamed in rage. Harry was faintly surprised as he leaned backwards, the curse brushing his nose and sending tiny volts of pain through him. He raised his wand and discharged a stream of electrical power.

Rodolphus cried out as he was lifted off his feet by the blast of lightning and slammed into the wall. His wand clattered to the ground and he made a poor attempt to grasp it, before it was summoned from the ground. Harry deftly caught it and turned around as Avery came forward. He signaled to Severus, who smirked as strode forward, a menacing smirk on his face. Avery stood no chance as Severus let loose a barrage of sharp bludgeoning spells that lifted Avery off his feet, breaking several ribs and knocking the Slytherin unconscious.

There was silence in the common room as Harry flicked and swished his wand in the familiar first year pattern. Rodolphus was levitated off the ground until his face was level to Harry's.

"You've lost." Harry said, his green eyes boring into Rodolphus'. "Will you honor the rules of dueling and surrender?"

Rodolphus stared into the eyes of his defeater, then at his Hierarchy. His lips stayed firmly planted.

Harry sighed and turned to the Hierarchy. "You see, even your leader thinks he is better than the honor of the old families."

"NO!" Rodolphus shouted, breathing heavily. "Fine. You win." He said, and slumped with a look of defeat on his face as Harry cancelled the levitation spell.

"Good. As your new leader, I order you to go to bed." Harry commanded. Surprisingly, nobody resisted and soon the common room was empty save for his five friends.

"Well, that was unexpected." Lily said after a few seconds.

"What brought this on?" Narcissa asked softly.

Harry shrugged as he sat down. "I was sick of his stupid gloating." He admitted. "Besides, I wanted to get that problem out of the way for now."

Bellatrix smiled cheerfully. "It was fun to watch."

Severus sneered at the group as he stood. "Goodnight." He snapped.

"Severus. Keep quiet." Harry warned the teen. Severus stared at him in silence, before nodding shortly.

"What was that all about?" Lily wandered.

"Don't worry about it." Harry said as he slung his arm over her. "It's nothing."
