Kevin was happily counting his current assets when he received a call from Annie.

The jewels, antiques, and gold he had salvaged from the sea sold for a total of over three million US dollars, giving Kevin's private coffers a good 'meal'.

Don't think that three million US dollars isn't much; you must understand that the jewels Kevin salvaged from the bottom of the sea were only a tiny fraction of what was there.

Probably less than one ten-thousandth.

Such a small amount of treasure brought Kevin such a large profit, so it's foreseeable that if Kevin were to salvage the entire ocean, he would likely immediately become one of the wealthiest people in the world.

Thinking about this, Kevin was in a good mood.

Until Starlight called him, completely ruining his good mood.

"Didn't I tell you not to bring Kimiko out unless absolutely necessary?!"

Hearing Annie's panicked voice on the phone, Kevin felt a massive headache.

Annie explained:

"Kimiko always wanted to find her brother, and I was worried that if I didn't let her go, she would run out by herself, so I thought I'd go with her.

"But who would have thought that she would disappear after I went inside for just a moment!"

"Did she run away by herself?"

"I don't know! I've searched nearby, and no one has seen Kimiko!"

"I understand. Don't worry yet. Search the alleys nearby. I'll be right there. Oh, and send me your location."

With Kevin and Starlight helping, it was impossible for Kimiko to run away inexplicably, especially to suddenly disappear in broad daylight.

The only one Kevin could think of was A-Train.

The speedster of the The Boys world.

He possesses super-fast movement speed, and kidnapping someone without being noticed is not difficult for him at all.

Moreover, the reason Kimiko gained her superpowers was because A-Train provided Compound V to those gangs, allowing them to inject Kimiko.

With Kimiko missing, A-Train would be the primary person responsible and would be scolded by Homelander.

Therefore, he had to find Kimiko as soon as possible, which was also why Kevin emphasized to Annie not to bring Kimiko out unless absolutely necessary.

Once she was out, it would turn into the current situation.

Kevin knew Annie was anxious now, but anxiety was useless. At A-Train's speed, he was likely no longer near that commercial street, and Annie would probably not find him and Kimiko.

However, Kevin still told her to try her luck in the nearby alleys. What if she did find them?

A-Train should not attack Annie, who is also a member of The Seven, at this moment. If she really encountered A-Train, Annie could at least buy some time.

As for Kevin, he looked at the location Annie sent him and searched for sparsely populated areas around that location.

Soon, he locked onto a very remote, almost deserted abandoned building that few people would visit, and quickly rushed towards that place.

...

A-Train Reggie was in a very bad mood right now.

Or rather, he had been in a bad mood for the past few days.

First, there were work-related issues. The company recently intended to cultivate a newcomer named 'Shockwave', a white man who possessed the same super speed as him.

And to build momentum for this newcomer, the company wanted A-Train to compete against him in a speed race.

The company probably thought the newcomer wouldn't win against A-Train, so they didn't specifically arrange a fixed match.

After all, A-Train was a veteran hero, and Shockwave was just a newcomer. No one thought Shockwave could win, including the company's executives.

But the problem was that A-Train had been taking drugs. He no longer remembered how much Compound V he had injected, and under the influence of Compound V, A-Train's body had developed some problems.

The most significant was that his speed was no longer what it used to be.

This meant that in tomorrow's race, if no unexpected events occurred, A-Train had a very high probability of losing.

And this was not the worst part.

The worst part was that he had messed up the task Homelander had assigned him.

A-Train knew about Compound V because Homelander needed his speed to transport Compound V for him, distributing these serums to gangs in New York to help them conduct human experiments.

That is, injecting Compound V into adult humans.

This experiment had a very high casualty rate, and very few people could survive the injection of Compound V.

A-Train had been working on this for so long and had only managed to cultivate one Supe.

Originally, this Supe should have been kept locked up, to be released to cause widespread destruction when Homelander needed it, and then for Homelander to deal with, thereby achieving Homelander's goal.

However, when A-Train went to check two days ago, he found that the gang's underground lair where the Supe was held had been sealed off by the police.

From the scene, it appeared that the Supe had escaped.

This made A-Train feel very uneasy.

If this matter couldn't be handled properly, if this Supe wasn't brought back, and Homelander found out...

A-Train could tell with his toes that Homelander would definitely not let him off easily.

So, in his spare time, A-Train began searching all over New York for that Supe.

He first went to his girlfriend Kimiko to ask if she had told anyone else about Compound V, as A-Train usually stored Compound V at his girlfriend's place.

After getting his girlfriend's confirmation that she hadn't told anyone, he began to move between the snakeheads who were responsible for smuggling people.

The abducted girl was from abroad, an illegal immigrant who had been smuggled in.

If she wanted to go back, she would inevitably ask these snakeheads for directions home. That's what A-Train thought, which is why he came here to try his luck.

Perhaps A-Train's luck was good.

He really found the missing girl.

Thud! Thud! Thud!!

In the deserted abandoned building, A-Train avoided all the homeless people and forcefully slammed the girl's head onto the ground.

If it were an ordinary person, being slammed like that by A-Train would probably result in blood and brains flying everywhere.

But the girl was a Supe, and a Supe specializing in physical combat. He was confident that this level of impact would not kill her, so he went all out, trying to knock her out.

"Speak, who saved you?!"

After hitting her for a while, A-Train grabbed the half-unconscious Kimiko by her hair and questioned her sharply.

He had seen the traces at the scene; besides Kimiko, there was at least one outsider present, and perhaps it was that outsider who released Kimiko, causing her to escape.

A-Train now had to determine who the person who saved Kimiko was.

Did they know about Compound V, and how much did they know about things related to them?

This involved the future of The Seven, so A-Train couldn't afford not to care.

However, Kimiko couldn't speak to begin with, and after being slammed by A-Train, her head was already dizzy, making her even less able to answer A-Train's questions.

Seeing that Kimiko didn't answer, A-Train grabbed her head again and slammed it onto the ground.

He only let go of her after knocking her out cold, preparing to clean up and take her away.

But just as he was about to leave, a familiar voice came from the building's entrance:

"Hey, A-Train."

"?"

His heart suddenly lurched. Hearing this familiar voice, A-Train instantly turned his head to look.

"Deep!?!"

His eyes, as he looked at the newcomer, were filled with surprise.

Because this person was indeed Deep, a fellow member of The Seven.
