Chapter 89 - Longing or Dreading...

After the shower... which Riley had absolutely refused to let Henry take with him, they check out of the hotel.

Riley's body aches in ways he hadn't even realized until now. During their heat-filled hours, he had been consumed by nothing but flames of pleasure, lost in every touch, every gasp, every frantic movement. But now, stepping into the cool air of the hotel lobby, every muscle, every joint, every nerve seems to protest.

His legs feel weak, yet he drags himself forward, determined to appear unshakable. He refuses Henry's subtle reach, pushing away the idea of help with a stiff nod and a faint, forced smile. "I'm fine," he mutters, though his body screams otherwise.

By the time they reach the car, Riley's attempts at composure are beginning to fray.

He tries to sit in the passenger seat, but the simple act of bending his knees sends sharp jolts of pain shooting up his back. Still, he refuses to show weakness, perching awkwardly, pretending he's unaffected.
