Miko sat quietly beneath the calm night sky, her eyes tracing the twinkling constellations. A faint streak of light caught her attention, not a star, but something falling gently from above.
She hurried toward the soft glow and found a tiny spaceship resting softly on the grass. The door opened with a gentle pshhh, and out popped a small, fluffy creature with two yellow horns.
miko thought "what is this creature"
Then the creature made soft, muffled sounds. Miko's heart fluttered at its trembling little body, marked with a faint tear glistened at the corner of its eye in its fur.
"Don't worry... I'll take care of you," she whispered gently.
Carefully, she cradled the creature and carried it home.
At home,
Miko tenderly cleaned the creature's fur, fed it tiny crumbs of cookie, and wrapped its small body in a delicate bandage. The creature chirped happily and nestled close to her.
Soon, they both drifted into a peaceful sleep, wrapped in a warm embrace.
The next morning,
Miko awoke to a gentle warmth beside her. Slowly opening her eyes, she froze.
A young man, completely naked, lay right next to her and hugging her.
Her mind went blank. "E-EHHHHH?!" she cried, leaping upright breaking from his embrace and moving away from him.
The young man blinked sleepily and spoke in a language she didn't understand.
"Eh???" Miko stared, unsure what to do.
He motioned for her to come closer. She shook her head furiously.
Suddenly, without warning, he rose and gently kissed her.
Miko's whole body stiffened. "EEEEHHHHHH?!" she screamed louder.
The young man then spoke clearly: "Why? Why scream so much?"
"You stole my first kiss!" she blurted out.
He tilted his head. "Oh, that? I only did it so I could speak your language."
Her brain melted. Her eyes darted around. "W-wait... the little creature from last night! Where is he? Did I accidentally squish him?!"
"Oh, that was me," he said calmly.
Miko's jaw nearly dropped. Too much information. Too strange. Her vision blurred, her knees wobbled, and she fainted.
The young man crouched beside her, blinking in confusion.
"I didn't expect her to faint."
[Screen fades to black, from Miko's point of view, her eyelids slowly closing]
[Scene 2: Morning Confusion]
Miko's eyelids fluttered open as warm sunlight spilled into her room. A shadow moved near her.
The young man, fully dressed, weraing miko's oversize sweater and denim jeans and glanced over.
"Are you awake?"
Her eyes snapped wide open. She sat up quickly.
"Who are you, and what are you doing in my house?" she asked, heart pounding.
"As I said, I'm the creature you saved. And thank you for that," he replied softly.
"How can I believe that?"
He sighed, Then, with a soft poof, he shrank into the small creature she had rescued. His oversized clothes slipped to the floor.
Miko gasped and tumbled out of bed to check.
The creature peeked from the shirt collar.
"See? Told you."
"Ahhh!" Miko squealed.
The creature frowned playfully.
"You really like to scream, don't you? That's three times now."
she thought "this is so weird... am i dreaming?... was i dreaming that morning?..." and kept pinching her self just to find out she was awake
He shrugged at her behaviour
"Wait... you didn't do anything strange last night, did you?"miko hoping that he didn't do it
He tilted his head.
"Strange? Like what?"
She hesitated.
"Well... you know..."
He hopped closer, eyes twinkling.
"Know what?"
"Ah... forget it. Probably not... I hope."
"Anyways, I'm hungry."
"Oh! I can make breakfast- wait, no!"
She thought anxiously to herself and hugging her knees while biting her nails in the corner : "Why should I cook for a stranger? I should call the police! mamaaa help meee"
"My home isn't in this world," he said softly.
while miko was already at the counter ready to call the police
Her eyes widened. Right, he came here in a tiny spaceship.
"But I still have my ship. Do you know how to get there?"
"Oh... yes, I do."
She scooped him up gently and carried him outside. But when they reached the crash site, her heart sank.
"It's... gone."
He shrugged casually.
"Well, I guess I'll just stay at your place then."
"Wait, how did you come to that conclusion?!"
But he had already hopped from her palm and started walking back toward the house.
"Wait! You could get stepped on!"
Back inside, poof, he transformed back into his human form, completely naked.
"Ahhh!" Miko shrieked again. running away from him
"That's the fourth time," he said, amused.
"Put some clothes on!"
He shrugged, picked up the clothes from the floor, and began to dress.
name granted, secrets unveiled
They sat on the floor, neither daring to speak.
Miko kept sneaking glances at him, then quickly looking away whenever their eyes met.
Finally, she cleared her throat.
Miko: "Um... s-so... what's your name?"
He tilted his head. "Six-nine-zero-nine."
Her eyes blinked rapidly. "What...?"
"Six-nine-zero-nine..." he repeated,he was teasing her and copying her talking pace.
"I don't believe that..." she mumbled.
"Well, you should...." he said mockingly mimicking her talking pace again.
Miko pouted faintly. "stop mocking me... If you don't have a proper name, maybe... I could give you one? It's kinda weird to call you 6909."
"Sure, whatever. I don't mind."
"Since you're... not from here... are you an alien?"
"You could say that."
"Well... you're an alien to me too," he tried to joke.
"I'm no alien, I'm a human being," she insisted quietly.
After a pause, she said, "then... how about... Kaelith? For your name? Is that okay?"
He froze, looking oddly impressed. "Yes... yes you can."
She blinked in surprise and sweatdropped. "O-oh... y-you really like it that much?"
"How old are you?" she asked, hesitant.
"I don't know. I've lived for quite some time... got lazy counting."
Her eyes widened. "then you've... lived over a hundred years?"
"Yeah, maybe."
Miko hugged her knees lightly. "C-can you... do anything else? Other than turning into... you know... a cute little creature?"
"Many other things."
Without warning, he lifted her bed with one finger while still sitting cross-legged.
Miko squeaked. "E-eh?! W-wait! Put it down, you'll break my stuff!"
He set it down gently, then, before she could blink, was holding a cookie in his hand.
Her eyes widened again. "H-how...?"
"Super speed. Got it from last night."
Then he raised his hand, and the space before them shimmered, suddenly showing the inside of a convenience store.
Miko's mouth fell open. "T-that's... the store I always go to!"
"Spatial warp. Only works within a ten-kilometer radius."
"'Only'...? ten kilometers is huge..." she said softly, still in awe.
"But," he said with a small smile, "that's not my main power."
From his palm, a small, glowing star appeared, warm light spilling between his fingers.
Miko's breath caught. "A... star...?" Her eyes shone, she'd always loved stargazing since she likes to daydream.
"What... what can you do with it?"
"This," he said, making it flare so bright the whole room lit up like midday.
"A-ah—!" Miko shielded her face, dizzy. "D-don't... ever do that again without a warning..." she mumbled, swaying slightly while her eyes are spinning.
He dimmed it, then turned the star into a small pink flame at his fingertip.
Miko whispered, "...So pretty..."
Then several small stars floated around her, and her feet lifted off the floor.
"E-eh?! I'm flying?!" she gasped.
"Gravity control," Kaelith explained.
She couldn't help but giggle softly as she spun in the air.
He gently lowered her down, and she landed lightly.
"Y-your powers are... incredible," she said, voice full of wonder.
"In my world, that's normal. Everyone has their own unique ability," he replied.
Her curiosity peeked out again. "Um... w-what's your world called?"
"X-909."
Miko sweatdropped faintly. "T-that... doesn't sound very cool..."
breakfast and hectics
A loud grrrowl suddenly broke the silence.
Miko blinked and looked over, when she realized it came from Kaelith.
He sat there calmly, as if nothing had happened.
"Ah,right…" she murmured."We… haven't had breakfast yet. Um… I'll… make something."
She slipped away to the kitchen, glancing back at him once before quickly looking away.
A few minutes later, she returned balancing two plates of bacon, eggs, and toast, each with a glass of milk.
She knelt and pushed one plate toward him. "H-here… for you."
Kaelith dipped his head slightly. "Thank you for the food."
Miko's eyes widened a little. Oh... he's polite... She gave a tiny smile, barely above a whisper. "you're welcome…"
They both began eating in quiet. (save for screentime a chibi-like furrball version of Kaelith hopping across screen for comedic effect.)
While they were nearly done eating miko got a closer look of kaelith and thought "wow... he's really charming, those eyes which are shimmery gold and those mint hair complement well togther and he has a fit body." Miko fiddled with her fork. "um... so... how will you go back to your world?"
"I'll build a new ship."
Her eyes widened. "Th-that sounds… really hard…"
"It is. About two months' work."
"Two months?!" Her voice squeaked. She quickly lowered it, fidgeting. "M-maybe… um… you could… ask the police for help?" (Please take the hint…)
"No," he said firmly. "I can do it here. Right now. I just need..."
Then he began listing strange materials she'd never heard of.
"W-wait! I don't even know what those are! and... who said you could stay here?"
He looked at her evenly. "What if they do something to me?"
She tilted her head slightly. "...do something…?"
"They might send me to a lab. Experiment on me in my other form. Or pull a gun. Or… even terminate me."
Miko's eyes went wide, her face paling. I...I couldn't live with that...! She hugged her knees in the corner, biting her fingernails.
Kaelith added casually, "So… why don't I just stay here?"
Her gaze darted away her face dejected. "fine..." she mumbled.
A tiny pause. Then, still avoiding his eyes, she muttered, "let's... um... go to the nearest construction store."
Kaelith hummed in agreement. "hmm..."
Construction Store → Playground
They walked into the store and began searching for the strange materials Kaelith needed.
While waiting at the register, Miko's gaze landed on a small yellow construction hard-hat keychain.
...Wouldn't tiny creature Kaelith look ridiculously cute wearing this?
Her lips curved faintly. Kaelith caught the look and raised a brow — what is she picturing now?
Without a word, she picked it up and placed it with their things at the counter.
Outside, Kaelith stopped mid-step. His gaze fixed on something in the distance.
"What's wrong?" Miko asked.
He pointed. "What are those strange gadgets?"
"...That's a playground," she replied.
"What does it do?"
Her chest tightened a little. He's never even seen one...?
She took his hand without thinking. "Come on. You'll see."
He followed without resistance.
[Slide]
"This is a slide." She climbed the ladder and, without hesitation, glided down the long slope.
"At the top, you sit... then push off. Like this."
"You... play with it?" he asked.
"Exactly."
He eyed it suspiciously but tried. When the breeze brushed past his hair at the bottom, something lit in his expression.
"...Again."
And again. And again.
Miko stood at the side, watching him with a faint smile with a sweatdrop seeing how much he likes it
"You like it that much?" she said.
His eyes glittered as he nodded.
(Creature Kaelith bouncing across the screen for comedic effect and savibg screentime.)
[Swing]
"Hold the chains tight," she instructed, taking a seat. "Then lean back and let your weight carry you."
He copied her movements.
The wind rushed through again, and she glanced at him, only to see a bright, genuine smile.
Her hands tightened slightly on the chains. First time... he's smiled like that.
[Roundabout]
"Sit. Hold on tight." She gripped the bar and spun them fast, laughing-until she saw his face pale.
Slowing it to a stop, she rested her hands on her knees. "Too much?" she sweatdropped.
He stepped off, hair in disarray. She couldn't help a quiet laugh.
"No playgrounds in your world?" she asked.
He shook his head.
So they've never known this kind of fun...
"I used to play on these alone," she said softly.
"Humans do this alone?"
"No. I just... didn't have anyone to play with." Her gaze stayed on the ground. "Still don't."
"...You're like me," he said.
She looked up.
"I was always alone too. Even now."
She studied his face quietly. He really is like me.
"Do you want to know why I came here?"
She nodded.
"When I was a kid, I did everything alone, tasks, experiments, even building things. I didn't feel it at first. Then... I realized. It was loneliness."
His gaze met hers. "But when you held me... it disappeared."
Her chest gave a small, unsteady flutter.
She turned away, hiding the curve of her lips.
"That's.. good to hear," she said, voice quieter than usual.
Kaelith tilted his head. "Good?"
She only stepped ahead toward the street. "Come on. Let's go home."
They walked back together, the air between them lighter than before.
