Chapter 127 - 《DXD: Infinite Loot System》Chapter 127: The Girls’ Battle (Part 2)

BOOM! BOOM!! BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

The sky above Kuoh was a battlefield—Rias and her team unleashed a relentless storm of magic and sword strikes, lightning and demonic energy tearing the clouds apart. If not for Yubelluna and her squad holding the barrier together, the town below would've been obliterated by the shockwaves alone.

Rias hurled wave after wave of destructive power. Even the highest-class devils would have flinched at her attacks, but Kokabiel, wreathed in darkness, deflected them with almost casual ease.

Akeno called down golden thunder, forcing Kokabiel out of the sky. Ten obsidian wings snapped around him, shielding him from harm—he didn't even flinch.

Koneko and Yura Tsubasa dove in, fists flying, each punch punctuated by thunderous cracks. All they managed was to knock loose a few feathers.

Sona Sitri summoned torrents of water, trying to drown him in magic. The waves broke, but Kokabiel emerged, untouched.

Raynare and her team fired volley after volley of light spears. Kokabiel answered with a single spear ten times their size, sending it straight back.

"Ahhh…"

Gasper collapsed, pale and trembling. He wanted to help, wanted to fight, but his Evil Eye did nothing—Kokabiel was operating on an entirely different plane.

This wasn't just a difference in strength. It was a difference in dimension.

Rias, powered by Tenra's Longinus, was the strongest among them—an ultimate-class devil. But Kokabiel was no ordinary foe. A fallen angel cadre who'd fought gods and demon kings and survived, he wielded power on the level of a Maou.

Maybe he was bottom-tier among demon lords, but that was still a gulf the girls couldn't cross.

"Hahahahahaha!"

"Too weak! Too weak! Too weak!"

Kokabiel laughed, conjuring twin swords of light, dueling Xenovia and Irina as they wielded their holy blades. As their strength waned, he swept out two blades of pure energy.

BOOM! BOOM!!

Two school buildings vanished in blasts of light. Xenovia and Irina's cries echoed as they were buried in the rubble.

The battle was merciless. One by one, the girls crashed to earth, unable to rise. In the end, only five remained—Rias, Akeno, Sona, Shinra Tsubaki, and Raynare—still standing, barely.

"This is awful… Rias-senpai, President Sona…"

In the kendo club, girls pressed hands to their mouths, watching the chaos outside. The spectacle was overwhelming, but beneath the awe, fury simmered. That monster was going too far.

"Nimura, you're too hurt. Let it go."

Tenra knelt beside Ruruko Nimura, healing her wounds as she tried—again and again—to stand.

"I can still fight… I can still fight…"

She struggled to rise, only to collapse each time. Even with Tenra's healing, her magic was spent.

"Lord Tenra, I… I'm so frustrated…"

Tears of defeat welled in her eyes. All the training, all the effort—and she'd lasted mere minutes against this enemy.

She knew Kokabiel was a fallen angel cadre. She knew they were outmatched. But still—

It hurt.

"Wipe your tears, Nimura. You're Sona Sitri's knight."

"Hold onto that frustration. Let it drive you. Become stronger."

Tenra brushed her forehead gently.

For these girls, facing a demon lord-class foe was premature. The confidence they'd built was being shattered by the sheer gap in power. The weak-hearted might never recover.

But Tenra saw no weaklings here.

If they could hold onto this frustration, they'd break through—again and again.

Sure enough, the softness faded from Ruruko's eyes, replaced by iron resolve.

"I understand, Lord Tenra!"

She wiped her tears, nodded hard, and joined Tenra and Asia in tending to their wounded teammates.

Above, flames blazed, lightning danced. Rias and the remaining five pressed on against Kokabiel.

"Die, Rias Gremory! Sona Sitri!"

A cruel smile twisted Kokabiel's lips. He conjured a light spear—massive, deadly—and hurled it at Rias and Sona.

If he killed them, Lucifer and Leviathan would snap—and the second God-Devil War would begin.

"Buchou!"

"Sona-sama!"

Rias and Sona, drained from leading the assault, couldn't dodge. Akeno and Shinra Tsubaki leapt to shield them, faces set.

Tsubaki activated her Sacred Gear—a standing mirror materialized, intercepting the spear. Akeno poured everything into her defensive magic.

Raynare, meanwhile, snickered and flew clear. If Tenra was in danger, she'd take a hit for him. For these girls? Not a chance.

CRACK. CRACK. CRACK.

The sound of shattering glass. The mirror and Akeno's barrier broke instantly. Rias, Akeno, Sona, and Tsubaki were blasted backward, screaming.

Kokabiel's spear contained terrifying power. If things continued, all four could die. But down below, Tenra just smiled, lips curling slightly.

Then—

The spear, meant for Rias's group, stopped midair. It doubled in size, then—under Kokabiel's stunned gaze—shot back toward him.

[Mirror of Reminiscence]—Tsubaki's Sacred Gear. It summoned divine mirrors to protect its master. When a mirror shattered, the attack was returned, amplified.

BOOM!!!!!

Blinding light. A thunderous roar. Kokabiel, caught completely off guard, took the full force of his own attack. His body was swallowed by the raging torrent of energy.
