"DXD: Infinite Loot System"Chapter 323: Sona Joins the Conspiracy

Morning broke over the Kamiyo household.

"O-Ophis-chan, eating snacks all the time isn't good for you. Here, have some tea."

Asia, gathering her courage, poured a cup of tea and offered it to Ophis.

Ophis glanced at her, accepted the cup, took two small sips.

"Tasty."

She handed it back, then returned to munching on the snacks Tenra had given her.

"You're braver than I thought, Asia. You actually talked to Ophis."

"Yeah, that's so like Asia."

Xenovia and Irina watched her return, both visibly relieved, their admiration clear.

"N-not really. Just like Tenra-san said, Ophis-chan isn't scary at all."

Asia's cheeks flushed as the praise made her shy.

Ophis had been here almost a full day. The girls—except Tenra—had started out wary, even afraid. But after spending time together, they realized the legendary Ophis wasn't nearly as terrifying as the stories suggested.

She was like a well-behaved child. If Tenra wasn't teasing her, she'd sit quietly, eating snacks or simply doing nothing. She never disturbed anyone, never started a conversation, but if spoken to, she always answered.

Strip away her godlike power and the title of Infinite Dragon God, and it was hard to see this quiet girl as a threat.

"Morning."

Tenra emerged from his room, Yubelluna, Mihae, and Tosca trailing after him.

Their faces still glowed with a faint blush—no mystery about what had gone on in Tenra's room before breakfast.

Asia and the others, long used to this, greeted them as usual.

Tenra dropped onto the sofa, scooped Ophis up, and settled her on his lap.

"Ophis, still enjoying it here?"

He ruffled her hair, smiling.

"Enjoying… What is that?"

Ophis tilted her head, genuinely confused.

Tenra rubbed his forehead. This goddess really was clueless about basic concepts.

"Let's put it simply. If you had to choose between staying with the Khaos Brigade or here, which would you pick?"

Ophis considered, head cocked.

"Here."

No reason, just instinct.

Tenra laughed. "That's what 'enjoying' means!"

He was in a good mood. If he could fully domesticate this divine loli, the Khaos Brigade would be history.

He turned to Le Fay. "Settling in okay?"

Le Fay brightened. "The room's comfortable, and everyone's taken good care of me."

"If you need anything, just say so. No need to be shy."

"I understand, Tenra-sama."

At breakfast, Tenra and the girls ate quietly.

Ophis sat on Tenra's lap, occasionally opening her mouth for him to feed her. The rest of the girls exchanged silent looks.

Tenra was treating a literal goddess like a pet.

"Tenra, we're heading to school soon. What about Ophis and Le Fay?"

Rias set down her fork, voice practical.

"That's a good point. I'm not worried about safety, but leaving them home alone would be boring."

He thought for a moment, then turned to Le Fay.

"Le Fay, want to try out ordinary student life?"

"Student life…"

Her eyes sparkled. "I'd love to, Tenra-sama!"

"Then it's settled. We'll bring Ophis and Le Fay to school. I'll explain things to Sona, but Rias, I'll need you to clear security around the school and the route there."

Rias sighed. "Fine, I'll handle it."

No one could know Ophis was with them—not yet. Otherwise, things would get ugly.

She grumbled inwardly about Azazel, who'd dumped Ophis on them and vanished.

May he choke on his next drink.

Grigori Headquarters

Azazel suddenly coughed violently, clutching his chest.

"Hey, Azazel, you okay?"

Shemhazai watched, unimpressed.

"I'm fine. Just choked. Damn it, who's cursing me?!"

Kuoh Academy, Student Council Room

"That's the situation, Sona. Could you handle Le Fay's enrollment?"

Tenra finished explaining, glancing at Sona and her council.

Ophis sat quietly on Tenra's lap, nibbling snacks. Tsubaki and Yura looked pale. Even Sona's eye twitched.

"Are you insane, Tenra Kamiyo?"

"That's Ophis! Do you even realize what you're doing? And Rias, are you really going along with this?"

Sona was livid. Calm and collected was out the window.

Taking in Ophis, then bringing her to school—had they all lost their minds?

"Sona, I felt the same way at first. But for the sake of world balance, only we can do this."

Rias's tone was resigned.

"Sure, you're noble. But the other factions won't see it that way. If they find out about Ophis, you'll be targets—and your families will be dragged down with you!"

Sona's sarcasm was sharp.

"That's why no one else can know. Sona, we trust you. You'll help us, right?"

Tenra and Rias both fixed her with hopeful, cunning looks.

"You want me to be your accomplice?"

Sona's mouth twitched. She knew exactly what they were doing.

"Exactly."

Tenra grinned, and Rias nodded, a bit sheepishly.

It felt underhanded, but Sona was the only one who could help.

Sona's face darkened.
