Before midnight, Ash wiped the sweat from his face and returned to the room where the silver cup was located. Brock was still sitting motionless.

"Hey, Brock, hungry?" Misty greeted him.

"I am a Rock-type Pokémon!" This was Brock's response! Brother, you've been sitting like that for seven hours straight, haven't you?

Just then, the clock struck midnight, and everyone immediately tensed up. However, nothing happened. Could it be that the second generation Phantom Thief Cat Eight knew there were so many people guarding the place and didn't dare to come? At this, the wealthy owner relaxed and even offered everyone some more food.

"I'm hungry again!" Ash, without hesitation, sat down and began to eat. Everyone also feasted. Only Brock, who had been sitting in one position for too long, had numb feet and couldn't stand up. He could only lie on the ground, watching Ash and the others enjoy the food.

Seeing this, Officer Jenny spoke up, "So, as I said, this young man looks the most professional!"

Having eaten and drunk their fill, Ash wiped his mouth and looked up at the ceiling. He then said, "Team Rocket, it's time to wake up, isn't it?"

"Ash, what Team Rocket are you talking about?" Misty was confused by Ash's words.

Officer Jenny and Spinarak, however, immediately became alert. Indeed, the next second, the lights in the room dimmed. The Team Rocket trio indeed appeared from the ceiling, landing right in front of the silver cup.

"Damn it, you guys were having a feast just now! We haven't eaten all day!" Jessie was about to reach for the silver cup, but a blue light blocked her.

"Brat, are you the one causing trouble again?" The Team Rocket trio was also very confused. Ash and his group, who had been chasing them all this time, somehow mastered a magical ability.

"Since you're here, don't leave!" Ash naturally wouldn't answer her question. Just now, Officer Jenny had already commanded Spinarak to weave a web around them. It had to be said, she was indeed Officer Jenny's partner; her movements were swift and decisive. Ash had already witnessed this Spinarak's abilities in the courtyard earlier.

Just as Ash's words fell, a net descended, completely enveloping the Team Rocket trio. "History repeats itself. Anyone who calls themselves Cat Eight in this place will be entangled by Spinarak's threads!" Officer Jenny could already declare victory. Now, the Team Rocket trio was tied up like caterpillars and officially arrested. No matter if they would escape again in the future, Ash and his group should have some peace for a while.

The treasures stolen by Team Rocket were all carried by them, hidden in the ceiling where they had been hiding. "Amazing, young man. You truly are an expert at dealing with thieves!" Officer Jenny was generous with her praise for Ash.

"Young brother, thank you so much. Please stay at my humble abode tonight!" The wealthy owner was very polite. Ash also had a good impression of him. He didn't look down on them just because they were children. The rich man's bed was indeed comfortable, and the fatigue accumulated from the long journey was alleviated.

But Ash and his group did not slack off because of this. The next morning, they bade farewell and set off on their journey again. After passing through Tianmu Town, famous for its high-end residential areas, and Deerhorn Town, which had a huge park built in the center of the city, Ash and his group arrived at the foot of a mountain near their first destination, Violet City.

"Starting to feel a bit chilly!" "Look, there's already snow on the mountaintop!" The geography and climate of the Pokémon world were strange. On the way to Violet City, they had to cross such a high mountain.

"This is also a great place for special training! Pikachu, you need to master Iron Tail quickly!" Ash now seized every opportunity to conduct special training. Pikachu and Charizard's progress was evident.

"Alright, I want to go skiing too!" Misty was naturally happy to stop here for a while. "This is a good idea. Maybe there are many beautiful ladies vacationing at the ski resort!" Looking at Brock, Ash knew this brother was lost in fantasy again.

But soon, Ash's eyes lit up. He clearly saw a Pokémon he desired lying not far ahead! It was a Chikorita! It was lazily lying on the grass, spreading out the large leaf on its head, probably basking in the sun. Due to its special ability, the air was filled with a sweet scent. Grass-type Pokémon liked to sunbathe. Chikorita was the Grass-type starter in the Johto region, and it was actually very rare to encounter one in the wild. But Ash's luck was so good that he actually encountered a wild one!

As Ash approached, this Chikorita woke up. Its eyes were very alert, fixed on Ash. "This Chikorita's personality seems much stronger than Nana's!" Brock could sense its personality from its gaze.

"That means its compatibility with me is high!" Ash smiled faintly. "Pikachu, I choose you!"

"Ash, Grass-type Pokémon have good resistance to Electric-type moves!" Brock reminded him.

"Of course I know that! That's why I had Pikachu learn that move!" Ash said with a confident smile. "Pikachu, use Quick Attack!" Pikachu immediately charged forward and slammed into Chikorita, sending it flying. However, Chikorita rolled on the ground and stood up again. Then, two Razor Leaves flew towards Pikachu.

"Thunderbolt!" The surging electricity burned away Razor Leaf. But Chikorita, showing no fear of death, actually charged forward and extended two Vine Whips, whipping Pikachu until it was sent flying backward.

"What strong fighting spirit!" Ash was increasingly fond of this Chikorita. "Pikachu, Quick Attack again!" Pikachu charged again, but this Chikorita seemed to have learned from the previous battle and blocked with its Vine Whips. It actually blocked Pikachu's charge, and then restrained Pikachu, lifting it over two meters above its head.

"Very good! Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" Current flowed through the Vine Whips onto Chikorita's body. Even if the effect wasn't great, it still caused damage. Chikorita involuntarily released Pikachu. Its body flashed with electricity, clearly paralyzed. Static, plus Thunderbolt, had increased its paralysis chance.

"Now's the time, Pikachu, Iron Tail!" Pikachu performed an aerial 180-degree spin. Its lightning-shaped tail already glowed with metallic light. Iron Tail's power was very strong. It slammed into the grass in front of Chikorita, sending sand flying onto Chikorita's face.

"Haha, how about it, little guy? Become my partner!" Chikorita looked at Pikachu, who had fiercely chopped into the grass with its tail. It knew that Ash and Pikachu had held back.
