Chapter 30 - Baptized in Blood

Juvie wasn't just a prison anymore—it had become Kang's crucible. Every day was survival of the fittest, and Kang thrived. With Aran Sutham watching him, Kang's fights became more than dominance—they became executions.

A New Reputation

Word spread fast inside the walls. Kang wasn't just another inmate; he was a predator.

One boy stole his food tray—Kang shattered his jaw with a single knee and fed him the food through the broken teeth.

Another tried to ambush him in the showers—Kang drowned him in the drain until guards pulled him off.

The gangs? They learned not to cross him. He wasn't interested in ruling them. He was interested in breaking them.

The other inmates began calling him "The Butcher."

But Kang didn't care for nicknames. He only cared about sharpening the Serpent's Coil.

Aran's Lessons

Aran watched every fight, every strike. He was grooming Kang the way hunters sharpened blades.

"Pain is nothing. Fear is nothing. Only control matters. When you clinch an enemy, he's yours. His life belongs to you."

Kang trained day and night:

Endurance drills—running barefoot until his feet bled.

Bone conditioning—slamming his shins against metal poles until they were as hard as stone.

Blood training—sparring with Aran, who never held back, breaking Kang down just to rebuild him stronger.

And each time Kang mastered a new level of pain, Aran would whisper:"Good. Now you're closer to being a god."

The Breaking Point

One night, the guards staged a fight between Kang and six older inmates for their own amusement. The inmates rushed him with pipes, chains, and blades.

Kang didn't flinch.

He broke the first man's ribs with a flying knee.

He elbowed another's temple, dropping him in convulsions.

Then, when two tried to pin him, Kang unleashed The Serpent's Coil—locking them in his clinch, twisting their spines with knees and elbows until their screams echoed through the block.

By the end, three lay unconscious, two were crippled, and one… wasn't breathing.

The guards didn't intervene. They just watched in silence. Even they feared him now.

Kang's Oath

After the fight, Kang sat in his cell, blood dripping down his arms, his knuckles raw. His reflection in the cracked mirror looked almost inhuman.

He whispered to himself:"Jin… Mikey… you broke me once. Never again. Next time… I'll choke the light out of your eyes."
