Chapter 41 - Awakening the Storm

The warehouse was chaos. Dust, blood, and sweat filled the air as Kang's Black Serpent strikes crashed against Mikey and Jin.

A spinning elbow from Kang hit Jin square in the temple. He stumbled, vision flickering violently, then collapsed to the floor with a groan.

"M-Mikey…" Jin tried to warn him, but his body went limp.

Mikey's heart pounded, fury and grief merging into a singular, burning force. His mother's death, Kang's terror, Jin's knockout—everything pushed him beyond limits.

The Awakening

Mikey shook off the pain in his broken arm, ignoring the throbbing. He remembered his uncle's secret technique, the one he had only partially mastered: The Phantom Tempest.

Focused breathing.

Body moving faster than the eye could follow.

Every punch, jab, and hook charged with explosive force, almost like the storm itself flowed through him.

His fists blurred. His vision sharpened. The world slowed, Kang's movements now almost predictable.

Clash Solo

Kang lunged with the Black Serpent Coil, smirk twisting his lips.

Mikey countered with a Phantom Tempest barrage, weaving through knees and elbows.

Each strike hit harder than anything Kang had felt, sending shockwaves across the concrete floor.

Kang's clinches were intercepted midair; his knees met fists moving faster than anticipation.

Kang's face darkened with disbelief. "Impossible… how are you…?"

Mikey's eyes burned. "You took everything from me… but I won't fall!"

Breaking the Black Serpent

With one final, concentrated strike, Mikey's Phantom Tempest exploded into a spinning flurry:

Every punch and hook connected.

Kang staggered, arms flailing, trying to regain control.

The last strike, a looping uppercut, sent Kang crashing into a wall, groaning, defeated—but alive.

Mikey fell to his knees, exhausted, chest heaving, but victorious. Jin slowly opened his eyes, groaning, seeing Mikey standing over Kang.

Aftermath

The warehouse was silent except for Mikey's ragged breathing. Kang lay battered, shaken, but alive, a terrifying promise in his gaze:"This isn't over… I will rise again."

Jin staggered to Mikey's side. "Damn… you… you did it, man. You really pushed through."

Mikey's hand clenched. "For my mom. For everyone he's hurt. I won't let him win."
