Chapter 40 - Flames of Vengeance

The warehouse smelled of blood and smoke. Mikey's fists were clenched so tightly his knuckles cracked, his eyes burning with grief and rage. Jin stood beside him, calm but deadly, scanning Kang's movements.

"This is it," Jin said, his usual cocky smirk gone, replaced by sharp focus. "No holding back. We take him down, or we lose everything."

Mikey didn't respond. His mind replayed the image of his mother… the strike… the lifeless body. Every punch he had thrown in training now carried raw, unstoppable emotion.

The First Strike

Kang moved first, his Black Serpent clinch snapping like a viper. But this time, Mikey was ready.

He weaved into a Dempsey Phantom storm, each punch faster, harder, and sharper than before.

Kang's strikes met their match, slowed by Mikey's newfound precision and rage-fueled power.

Jin moved like a shadow, using his Heavenly Triple Kick with deadly timing:

First kick hit Kang's ribs, staggering him.

Second clipped the shoulder, forcing him to twist mid-air.

Third landed with a spin, cracking a window behind Kang as he was thrown back.

For the first time, Kang blinked, caught off-guard by the combination of Mikey's rage and Jin's strategy.

Clash of Titans

Kang recovered instantly, fury igniting his movements. He lunged at Mikey with his Black Serpent Coil: elbows snapping, knees twisting.

Mikey blocked and dodged with everything he had learned, channeling his uncle's secret boxing technique.

Jin anticipated Kang's counters, copying key movements while balancing the strain on his vision.

The battle became a blur of fists, elbows, knees, and kicks. Dust, blood, and sweat filled the air. The warehouse walls shook under the force of their strikes.

Turning the Tide

Mikey's eyes burned with tears and fury. He landed a perfect Phantom Jab sequence into Kang's midsection, stunning him. Jin followed immediately with a spinning Heavenly Triple Kick to the head, breaking Kang's guard.

Kang stumbled, a rare look of shock crossing his face.

"You… you're stronger than before," Kang hissed, breathing heavily, fury and disbelief mingling.

Mikey's voice was low, deadly calm:"This ends tonight. For my mom."

Jin smirked through his own injuries, stepping forward. "And for every nightmare you've made."

Cliffhanger Ending

Kang's eyes narrowed. The Black Serpent's Coil was ready—but so were Mikey and Jin, working together for the first time with perfect synergy.

The warehouse fell silent for a moment, tension so thick it was almost tangible.

Then, the three charged at each other, a storm of vengeance, skill, and raw power about to collide.
