Chapter 90 - Cap.84 - Ecozmar financial group

Looking at the simple name, which had a broad context, he was satisfied.

As soon as the group was created, the clones quickly registered, and soon Triple Six was added to the mercenary alliance's database.

[Summary: Mercenary Apprentice Group, small scale, members have similar skill levels, but the leader possesses considerable strength.]

//-//

There were two criteria for evaluating a mercenary group, scale and strength. Both were requirements for determining which missions the organization could accept.

Of course, there was a hidden factor: credibility. The level of credibility of a mercenary group was central to its reputation and could be obtained after completing impressive missions and feats, which could be of the most diverse types.

For example, if he were able to become the Floating Dragon's field team, it would increase his credibility.

Many employers had standards for the Credibility of mercenaries. If the Credibility score was too low, the employer would reject the mercenary's application.

Credibility was also equivalent to popularity. Of course, in the formal document, such an informal word wouldn't be used. The value couldn't be quantified without a player interface, everything depended on the mercenary group's own reputation.

Black Spider wasn't too worried about that, for now, he was focused on completing some missions, but first he still had to find a buyer for his batch of genetic medicines, in addition to delivering the Blood Fang, Tanos.

But Black Spider soon became unhappy, he thought that, like the Blood Pact Society, the Mercenary Alliance platform could accept wanted criminals, but no, except for direct capture missions issued by an employer, there was no way.

Instead, after doing some research, he discovered that there were only two ways to deal with rewards: the first was to go directly to the reward issuer, and the second was to "sell" the reward to intermediaries, in which case the reward value normally would be cut by 30 to 50%.

It's no wonder that Han Xiao had sold the reward on his first trip without bothering to cash it in himself.

Unfortunately, Godora wasn't looking for Tanos, it wasn't for nothing that he had chosen to remain in that star cluster.

Therefore, he can only return to the black market and sell the reward, the value has decreased from 2,900 Enas to 1,800 Enas.

He accepted, he didn't want to walk around with Tanos.

After selling Tanos, he let the clones spread while they sought out branches of trading groups that worked with genetic medicines.

Meanwhile, he returned to the mercenary alliance and began searching for a mission. Unfortunately, most of the good missions were for large mercenary groups and many of the others required a certain reputation, that is, credibility.

Fortunately, even without the interface, there was still a simple credibility rating meter available in the Mercenary Alliance interface.

The score depended on completing missions, not on renown, so that meter was lower, but at least it could be used.

There were many types of missions in the Mercenary Alliance, including manual labor missions that granted credibility, Black Spider could only turn to those first to unlock more relevant missions.

Daily tasks consisted mostly of moving cargo, cleaning and small missions dealing with pests like galopemodes lice, a bothersome race that fed on metal and was a frequent problem in advanced civilizations because they were very good at hiding and escaping.

So, once the clones had obtained the information he wanted, he separated himself from them and left them to begin completing those tedious missions.

He, on the other hand, went directly to a store in the central area called Ecoztirat, which belonged to the Ecozmar financial group. Ecozmar is also the name of the race of creators in this group, they belong to another star cluster but have a branch in the Juberly Hub.

The place seemed grand, with bluish wood and greenish details. The wood wasn't simple, it was made from a type of wood native to that race that was even harder than steel. Crafts made from this wood were exported as luxury goods.

As soon as Black Spider entered, carrying a large backpack with his samples, an attendant approached. She had no hair on her head, but she had a particularly long nose and no visible mouth, as well as bluish-green skin. Her pupils were narrow like those of cats, with black sclera and blue irises.

Black Spider didn't know if the woman would be considered beautiful among her race, but he knew her appearance was frightening enough, if it weren't for her ample bust and wide cleavage, he wouldn't be able to tell her gender.

Just as he was thinking about how she would speak, a voice sounded directly in his mind. - 'Hello, sir, how can I help you?'

Ringo narrowed his eyes slightly, using his Nightmare ability, he felt it was purely a mental transmission, not an intrusion. He looked at the woman for a few more seconds before letting it go.

He couldn't complain about the way that species communicated, right?

But the bluish-green skin made him wonder if that species depended on sunlight to survive, or perhaps they could extend some kind of tentacle that would suck nutrients from the soil...

-'Sir?'- She tilted her head slightly, confused.

Black Spider came to his senses and spoke. - Excuse me, it's the first time I've seen someone communicate like that, I was a little curious.

Through the woman's emotions, he sensed an obvious hint of contempt, but outwardly she merely nodded, making it clear that she was used to dealing with all kinds of people.

-'Okay, how can I help you?'- She continued.

-Buying and selling, I brought some products to trade, I'm also interested in buying genetic medicine.- Black Spider gave a slight smile and opened her backpack, taking out some cases. As she opened them, a light, refrigerated air was emitted, creating a slight mist as the woman looked at the different reagents of various colors.

He sensed the woman's contempt deepening, along with a slight boredom, but he didn't comment, she showed nothing as she spoke. -'Alright, wait, I'll call one of our available researchers to test the drugs.'

Black Spider found the woman's professionalism interesting, she clearly felt one thing but acted another, but as long as he could make a deal, he didn't care.

He was soon taken to a waiting area while a man of the same race appeared, his skin was slightly greener and less bluish, but otherwise he didn't look very different.

His contempt was evident as soon as he looked at Black Spider, his eyes seemed somewhere between irritated and bored, clearly as if he were being forced to be there.

'Show me what you brought.' He asked quickly. Black Spider didn't mind, as long as there was profit, he could tolerate this snobbish group.

He handed over the briefcase while following the man to a testing area, the man, clearly unhappy, walked as fast as he could.

As soon as he placed the first reagent in the machine and a sample was taken, the instrument began to issue the diagnosis, it was clearly very fast, while the man's irritated eyes opened slightly in surprise.

-'An 18-25% improvement in physical fitness in individuals below Grade E, a 3-5% improvement in individuals at Grade E, no effect above that. The best results are in species based on galactic humans, and the greater the genetic differentiation, the smaller the effect, possibly even to the point of being completely null. That's not bad.' - The man commented while reading the report, then he looked at Black Spider. - 'All your reagents are based on galactic humans?'

-Yes.- Black Spider nodded. There was no other sample on the planet besides his own, so Emma could only work with human genetics. Actually, the value is a little higher in ordinary humans, but their database probably didn't even include such a weak species. -But we can adapt it to other genomes if we have matching genetic material.

The man nodded and didn't comment, then began to identify the other reagents more seriously. Black Spider sensed his shifting mood and realized he was happy, despite his serious face.

Probably to avoid revealing their interest and to lower the price.

-'Improved concentration, reaction speed, temporary physical regeneration, temporary physical enhancement, internal temperature regulation, resistance to all types of environments... it's a very complete base.' - The man finally finished researching all the serums.

-Happy to help.- Black Spider flashed a toothy grin, acting like an approachable guy.

The man looked at him before saying. -'Unfortunately, we have medicines for most of these functions, it's not very useful for us beyond research.'

Black Spider scoffed inwardly, so what? The effects work in different ways, so the value of the permanent reagents doesn't change. Besides, the reagents slowly lose their effectiveness if used constantly, so variation is always useful. He could sense the man's desire, he just wanted to lower the price now.

Black Spider let out a tired sigh and said. -It's a shame, I thought we could close the deal. I can try with the Jasper group, maybe they'd like to buy.

Black Spider sighed and went to get his briefcase, but he sensed the man's inner panic, even though his expression only changed slightly.

-'Wait, I was just commenting, besides, the research value doesn't change, we're interested in acquiring the formula for these reagents.'- The man finally said what he was thinking.

-Really?- Black Spider gave a curious and hopeful look, but quickly shook his head. -Unfortunately, we can only sell the ready-made reagents, it seems we really won't be doing any business today.

He sensed the man's growing irritation as soon as he said that, as well as a slight malice, but he didn't care.

-'May I ask who the seller is?'- the man inquired.

-Perhaps someone with good skills is looking for an intermediary.- Black Spider smiled slightly, a clear mockery in his eyes.

This only irritated the man further, he let out a slight buzzing sound that didn't sound vocal, but like a bee buzzing, perhaps signifying irritation.

-'Well, let's talk business!' - The man finally gave in.
