"Originally, I thought you could be a top-tier son-in-law, but now it seems hopeless."

Dirk Carter laughed at himself.

He said, "They all say that people are born equal, but that's just a bunch of lies. In fact, from the moment a person is born, they're marked by their class. Take Dorothy Zechariah, for example. Her biggest worry should be what clothes to wear today, what bag to carry, while some of her peers worry about whether they can eat today or where to borrow money for their parents' medical bills."

"Are you trying to say you're not in the same class as her?"

Ewan Forrest asked.

Dirk Carter shook his head, but his gaze became resolute.

He said, "No, I mean to say that I want to change this inherent class system. Perhaps I can't make everyone wealthy wherever I go, but I will do my best to eliminate these injustices, even if the road is full of obstacles."

After saying this.

Dirk Carter turned around and left.
