Chapter 17 - Something I Refuse To Name

Yin's POV

A smirk played at the corner of my mouth—the first genuine expression I'd made all day. These wolves had no idea who they were dealing with, and their ignorance was almost refreshing in its purity.

"Get out of my way," I said quietly. "I don't want to hurt you, so don't push me," I warned them but like the stubborn dogs they were, they never listened.

The tone was courteous enough, but anyone with half a brain would have recognised the warning underneath. Unfortunately, these three seemed to be sharing a single brain cell between them.

I turned to leave, already dismissing them as beneath my notice. That's when the scarred one made his fatal mistake—he grabbed my shoulder and yanked me back.

"How dare you walk away from us, you pale bastard," he scowled at me. "Who do you—"
