In the 9th century BCE, along the shores of the Mediterranean, a figure emerged within a Jewish royal family.
This figure held pivotal significance in human history, wielding immense influence.
This man was King Solomon, also known as the King of Wisdom.
His reign marked the zenith of the kingdom—his armies were mighty, commerce flourished, and the heavenly gods' temple on earth, along with his magnificent palace, were constructed one after another. Thus, he was regarded as the greatest king of ancient Judea.
Historically, Solomon inherited the throne at the age of 17. Ambitious, he strengthened his position through strategic marriages.
He wed the daughters and sisters of kings from various lands, one of whom was the daughter of the Egyptian pharaoh. Through cooperation with Egypt, he built his nation into a formidable power.
During his rule, he further expanded the kingdom's territory—reaching the Euphrates River to the northeast, the Gulf of Aqaba to the southeast, and stretching southwest to the borders of Philistia and Egypt.
But were these recorded accounts truly factual?
[Current Progress: 50%. One-time skill [Revelation] acquired.]
As these words materialized before his eyes, Solomon (Renji) of this era, currently in the midst of a council meeting, froze momentarily.
This skill, he recalled, had the effect of listening to the "Voice of Heaven" to take the most ideal action.
For example, if he were traveling, this skill would guide him to choose the most optimal route.
In short, whatever he wished to do, it would lead him to the best possible outcome.
Suddenly, a wave of dizziness struck him, and his surroundings twisted before his eyes.
Instead of being in the conference hall, he now found himself in a vast, white temple?
Sensing something, he looked straight ahead—there stood an enormous divine throne, upon which sat a giant figure clad in white robes, radiating intense holy light.
Surrounding this figure were numerous curvaceous, beautiful figures, each with pure white wings on their backs.
Simply put, the graceful female figures gathered around this indistinct being were none other than a host of female angels.
They clung to him affectionately, their gazes filled with infatuation.
Thus, this giant figure was likely the chief deity of the Heavenly Pantheon.
"Solomon, what is your wish?"
God, with one hand resting on his chin and the other holding a book, looked down at him. His voice sounded gentle and kind, almost human-like, but Solomon sensed only aloofness and indifference.
That gaze, too, was as casual as glancing at a roadside pebble.
In response to this question, he chose to answer.
"Wisdom."
That was his wish.
Perhaps because his demeanor was too composed, his gaze devoid of reverence or worship—only calm—the lofty deity exuded a faint trace of displeasure.
"A fine choice. Then I shall grant you boundless wisdom."
To others, it might have seemed like praise—divine praise, an honor.
But to King Solomon, it carried only mockery and malice.
Malice?
The next moment, the lofty deity waved a hand at him, and a golden light enveloped his body.
[Illegal program detected—this program contains a large number of subconscious suggestions... ultimately turning the target into a fanatical believer of the caster. Should the illegal program be purged?]
So this was the so-called malice?
Clearly, his earlier assumption was correct—most gods were merely playing house.
If they truly wanted to guide humanity, would they resort to such underhanded methods?
Evidently, this god had grown bored and couldn't be bothered to intervene directly, so they simply tossed out a brainwashing spell instead.
Come to think of it, if they were already tired of it, why not just ignore him? Why go through the trouble of brainwashing him into greatness?
The reason was simple—it was all about pride and competition. They didn't want the humans under their mythos to appear inferior to those of other pantheons.
At the same time, as the golden light washed over him, a book tumbled down in front of him.
It wasn't a gift from this god—rather, the deity's sweeping gesture had been too broad, causing the book to slip from their lap.
And as it fell, before it even hit the ground, the pages flipped open, revealing two specific passages that he caught in full detail.
The next instant, his vision blurred and twisted again. The pristine white temple vanished, replaced by the familiar sight of the conference hall from before.
[Illegal program successfully purged.]
He barely registered the system notification—his mind was throbbing violently, as if something were being forcibly crammed inside. It felt like a high fever, his skull aching unbearably.
Was this the aftermath of the illegal program's removal?
No, that wasn't it. The reason his brain felt like it was about to explode was because he had activated the reward skill—[Revelation].
The moment he was granted so-called [Wisdom], he had triggered [Revelation].
As he activated it, he focused intently on what he most desired to achieve.
Thus, the book's fall was no accident—it was a "coincidence" orchestrated by [Revelation], allowing him to glimpse those two crucial pages, their contents directly tied to his ambitions.
One page contained an incantation—a spell to summon something.
Under normal circumstances, even if a human saw those words, they would spend a lifetime failing to grasp their meaning.
But under the effects of [Revelation], his mind raced at breakneck speed, deciphering the text's significance. Yet that alone wasn't enough.
Because this was a divine spell—he still had to calculate how to cast it in a mortal body.
"Your Majesty? Are you alright?"
"Your Majesty!"
The ministers grew alarmed at his state, especially as blood began trickling from his nose.
"Someone, fetch the—"
"—I'm fine!"
He forced out a response, took a deep breath, and then smiled.
The calculations were complete.
To invoke the incantation, he would need access to the mystical forces beyond human reach—the Domain of the Gods.
To put it simply, he had learned about this world's phenomenon manipulation techniques—namely magic—through [Revelation].
Good, with this meeting concluded, he needed to make some preparations for successfully casting this spell.
This was a ritual for summoning and controlling demons, specifically a puppetry technique targeting one particular demon.
