Chapter 73 - Chapter 73: The Weight of the Abyss

Kairo's crimson eyes locked onto Hades, chains coiling at his sides, Bone Blade humming with the power of the Gravekeeper. Every instinct screamed that the final confrontation had begun.

Hades rose slowly from his obsidian throne, his form radiating a presence so absolute it made the very air shiver. Shadows pooled around his feet, flames bending toward him, and the temperature of the chamber dropped as if the universe itself held its breath.

With a single motion, Hades extended his hand, fingers curling like the talons of a predator. A single word slipped from his lips — ancient, guttural, and resonant:

"Gravity…"

It was not a word in any human tongue, but in the language of demons, it carried authority beyond comprehension. Immediately, the air thickened. The ground itself seemed to pull Kairo down. His chains rattled violently as invisible force pressed against him. The Bone Blade wavered in his hand as he struggled, muscles straining under the supernatural weight.

Kairo's knees buckled. Crimson eyes narrowed, sweat forming on his brow despite the cold. Every step, every movement, became a fight against the oppressive pull of Hades' command.

"Interesting…" Hades' voice echoed, deep and unyielding. "You have survived much, Red-Eyed One. Yet even your chains, even your power, are meaningless beneath the weight of the Abyss."

Kairo gritted his teeth, flexing his fingers around the Bone Blade. Chains rattled violently, but he could not rise. He was forced to kneel, the gravity pressing down with merciless authority, a reminder that even he was not yet untouchable.

The throne room, once a cathedral of shadows and chaos, now felt like a cage. Kairo's aura flared, crimson and undeterred, but even he recognized the warning in Hades' demonstration. The battle had begun, and the Red-Eyed One had been humbled — if only for a moment.
