Chapter 35 - Quest Completions; Shadow Inventory

Luck watched indifferently as a man covered in black light armour pulled his spear out of the deceased lynx's eye.

He turned to face them as he immediately ran forward, seeing their predicament, another man cloaked in blue robes following closely.

"Are you alright?" The guard said with worry as they both helped the twins, who were plastered to trees like stickers.

"Yeah," Luck said lightly as he looked over the guard's shoulder. He saw Tara patiently standing, her eyes filled with worry. "We're lucky that you guys made it on time."

Their eyes soon met, and Luck could almost hear the sigh of relief that came from her.

"Do you need assistance back towards the village?" The guard asked once again. It seemed he was scared that the village head's sons got hurt under his watch.

Luck shook his head with a slight smile. "No, it's fine. I still have some things to do here."

The guard wielding the spear was reluctant to part ways, but he eventually left the twins with their team, going back to overseeing the battles.

"Looks like they left the core for us," Harry said abruptly, seeing that the guards hadn't even bothered to touch the corpse. "So who gets the core?"

Harry's question brought silence as the group contemplated what to do.

"I think Luck should have it." Terra suddenly said. It seemed the rest agreed with her as they nodded.

"I don't want it."

Silence and confusion flew through the air due to Luck's statement.

"You sure, man?" Luke asked, clearly in disbelief that Luck would refuse something so valuable just like that.

"Yeah," Luck answered as he began to walk forward."Let Tara have it. She is a Thief after all."

Leaving the group to their own devices, Luck opened his grimoire, immediately flipping towards the desired page.

Luck nodded in satisfaction, seeing the rewards. Although he didn't really know much about half the rewards, he still knew it would be beneficial for him, since his physique gave him.

He glanced around him. Seeing the battle was about to reach its end, Luck ordered his undead to begin to gather his and their kills in piles.

"It should be about time," Luck said internally as he watched the last of the beasts be slaughtered.

*Ding*

Quest: Clear The Horde[Completed]

1. 20 stat points

2. 50 skill points

3. Instant learning of the skill [Shadow Inventory(R)]

Luck felt information entering his head. It was knowledge of the skill Shadow Inventory.

(So it gets downloaded to my brain just like that?) Luck was internally surprised that his physique could perform such a high-level feat.

It was no secret that only experts could perform something like imparting knowledge to the brain directly.

He wasn't complaining, though. He walked up to one of the piles of corpses that belonged to him as he stretched out his hand.

"Shadow Inventory"

His shadow slowly moved under the pile as it began to sink into the shadow, much to Luck's amazement.

He managed to do two more piles before he felt he had run out of space, making him bring a spatial storage item. It was a leather bag with purple runic symbols imprinted on it.

And with that, Luck continued his looting.
