"Mount Vernon institute of magic is one of the best in the world. Although there are so many schools for supernaturals, Mount Vernon stands out differently.
From their buildings, to food, to environment, gosh, Mount Vernon is a banger. But there are some rather unfortunate things as well.. " Samara said with an eye roll.
Eira stared at her quizzically, "What are those?"
"Well, there are some strange rules here" Samara didn't look pleased as she said it.
"What strange rules?"
"Phones aren't allowed here. You can't even use a phone if you came with any. There's no single trace of network connection here."
"That's not a problem. We can survive."
"Survive?" she paled, "How do I stan BTS, Blackpink, StrayKids, Astro, Exo, Twice, IU, Aespa, Babymonster, Enhypen, Seventeen, Monsta X, New Jeans, Momoland, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Karol G, Jessie, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and all of them, huh?"
Eira scoffed, "Is that complicated? Not really. Do you even have a fave among them?"
"You needn't ask because my fave is BTS, I love Jungkook with all my heart, his tattoos, gosh, I'll strip for him." She gushed.
Eira couldn't believe her ears and she burst out laughing,
"I bet he doesn't even know you and I think I prefer Yoongi, I bet his skin is brighter than my future." Eira said to her, grinning.
"I bet he doesn't know you too." Samara retorted and they both burst into laughter.
"So the other weird rules are?"
"Lemme take you to the Hall of Knowledge and you'll find out big time." Samara winked mischievously.
Hall Of Knowledge
"Huh!!! Is this even possible?" Eira shrieked.
Rule Number 1: Never use your powers to seek revenge, Catastrophe awaits defaulters.
Rule Number 2: No leaving the school premises unless on instructions, Grave punishment awaits defaulters.
Rule Number 3: No phones are allowed. Even if you have them with you, you can't use them anyways.
Rule Number 4: No sleeping at someone else's room. You'll explain why you're there if caught.
Rule Number 5: Lights out is by 21:00 hours. There is no reason to be nocturnal.
Rule Number 6: On no account should a junior insult a Superior irrespective of what the Superior does. They are like your gods.
Rule Number 7: You are stuck to your Superior whether you like the person or not.
Rule Number 8: Classes are mandatory, you suffer for any class you miss.
Rule Number 9: Romantic affairs are prohibited, Punishable under the constitution.
Rule Number 10: Obey without complaining and follow other unwritten rules, ignorance is not an excuse.
NOTE: FOR EVERY RULE YOU BREAK, YOU ARE PUNISHED BY LIGHTNING BOLTS
"WTF, Lightning bolts? Are they being serious? I'll die then." Eira complained bitterly.
"Welcome to this world babe, and if Her Majesty is not too weak after reading this, we have an orientation to attend in ten minutes, and trust me, you wouldn't dare miss it. It's the most fundamental of the unwritten rules." Samara mocked.
Orientation Room
A tall, blonde man stood on a high platform. He was about to begin addressing the inmates.
Yeah, the newbies were obviously inmates. They just got welcomed into hell—hell until they became seniors. Samara and Eira hurried and settled in. The hall was more silent than a graveyard. A pin drop would sound like lightning bolts.
"Good day inmates, it's a pleasure to have you from all parts of the world. I can see Chinese, Koreans, Latinos and Latinas, Russians, French, Japanese, Americans, Italians, Spaniards, Africans and a lot more. Just this session, we had an intake of 1250 inmates, superseding that of the previous years by over a hundred percent. I hope you are of good conduct.
I'll advise you get along with your Seniors because only then can you have a picture of the unwritten rules. Get along with one another too. Anyways, you won't see each other frequently. Mount Vernon has a current capacity of 1200. Adding your number to it, you know what this means, students, so new buildings are under construction. I hope you can maintain the four-per-room arrangements.
I'm Tutor Dmitri Zelda, and I welcome you to Mount Vernon." He dismissed his speech with a stoic face.
He was about dismissing them when three people, wearing the academic robes, walked in. A gasp ran across the room.
"OMG! They are freaking handsome"
A girl beside them gushed and Samara scoffed.
"If you know them, you'll gladly choose death over life. Experience is the best teacher" She rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"What do ya mean, huh?" The newbie asked in confusion.
"Well, in my one week at Mount Vernon, my love for gossip made me enlightened.
There is one Grandmaster in charge of the whole Supernatural realm. He was appointed by the Heavens to run this magic institutes. Eligibility is by inheritance, direct bloodline of the gods.
He is the King of the Supernatural realm. Currently there is no King because the previous one is late. Next, is the supernatural Queen whom no one knows who it'll be, Next in the hierarchy are the Masters, they are the Masters of the institutes all over the world, next are the Superiors, those mean people who have so many privileges, and they are seven in number per Institute. Then the Tutors, the Seniors, the juniors and then we, the most unfortunate souls, the inmates."
"Wow, you're really enlightened." Eira gushed, well, she's gotten a really smart ass for a friend.
The Superiors were still talking, but who cares? This gist was damn important and interesting. They were still bantering when they felt a cold aura envelope them and she could feel dread all over the hall.
They turned and found a pair of hazel eyes staring at them. Before their eyes, the third wheel with them found herself in the air, coughing out blood. They quickly tore away their gaze and bowed their heads as the owner of the hazel eyes walked past them to the front of the hall.
The hanging girl dropped to the ground panting and coughing simultaneously. Eira shuddered in fear as she tried to look at the scary being. The moment he got to the front of the hall, everybody went on their knees.
The Superiors stared at him and he murmured something in the ears of one of them. Eira could tell she was instantly darned.
