Chapter 1 - Death and Rebirth

In the Kingdom of Aurelia, there lived a princess named Mira — a beautiful alpha with a voice as pure as an angel's.

But beauty meant little in a world where politics ruled over love.

One day, her parents summoned her.

> "Mira," her mother began softly, "you will marry the man we've chosen for you."

"No," Mira replied without hesitation. She already knew what this marriage meant — chains.

"If you are truly my daughter," her mother pressed, "you will obey."

Before Mira could speak again, her younger sister strolled in with a smirk.

> "Mom, Dad, you both know Mira is a tomboy. She'll never agree."

"I know," her father said gravely. "But this marriage is the only way to save Aurelia."

Mira's eyes hardened.

> "Father, I will not marry someone I do not love."

Her father's voice turned cold.

> "This is not about love. This is about Aurelia's survival. If you will not marry…"

"…then you will die."

In a swift motion, the King drew his sword and plunged it into his own daughter's chest. Mira gasped, stumbling back as pain exploded through her. Blood spread across her gown.

She looked up — her family's faces showed no sorrow.

> "You deserve this," her sister spat. "You're a fool. You're a princess, but you act like one. Just die already."

Mira collapsed, her vision blurring. With her last breath, she whispered:

> "If there is a second chance… I will take it."

Her eyes closed, and darkness claimed her.

Her family celebrated that she was gone.

Months Later

Light returned.

Mira awoke — not as herself, but as Prince Alaric Daven of the mighty Kingdom of Solhaven.

Her soul burned with one truth: This was her second chance.

News of Solhaven's long-hidden prince spread across the land, reaching Aurelia. Mira's old parents rushed to Solhaven, unaware the boy they sought was the daughter they murdered.

At Solhaven's grand gathering of kings and queens, Alaric stood tall beside his new parents. He caught sight of Aurelia's royals and smiled coldly.

> "So… you're all here. Just wait. I have a surprise for you."

The Proposal

After the ceremony, Aurelia's king approached Solhaven's throne.

> "Your Majesty, I propose a marriage — between my second daughter and your son, Prince Alaric."

The King of Solhaven frowned.

> "I heard the Princess of Aurelia died months ago. What is this talk of marriage?"

> "I speak of my second daughter," Aurelia's king insisted.

Before the discussion could go further, Alaric strode into the hall.

> "I refuse this marriage."

His "younger sister" from Aurelia looked at him with feigned sadness.

> "My prince, why are you doing this? Let us marry."

Alaric's voice.

> "Why should I marry a murderer?"

The hall fell silent.

> "I have heard the truth," Alaric continued. "Your father killed his own daughter with his bare hands. Your mother, and even you, supported him. You never cared for your sister — so why should I welcome you into my family?"

Gasps filled the room.

The King of Solhaven ordered the Aurelians removed from the hall.

Alaric turned to his adoptive father.

> "Your Royal Highness, my Queen… forgive my boldness. I will take my leave."

"Wait," the King said firmly. "Next time, consult me before you act."

"Yes, Your Royal Highness."

But as Alaric walked away, his cold smile returned.

The game had only just begun.
