Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"What if your wife sees us like this, Victor?" said the woman with her soft, seductive voice.

Her lips parted as that snake-like whisper reached Victor's ear while her delicate arm glided through his muscular arms and ribs, her palm brushing over his skin before finally resting around his hips.

A thin white sheet illuminated by the moonlight fell across the room, serving as a separation between her nails and his flesh while keeping him positioned between both of her wide open legs.

"Haah, she is a pathetic trophy wife, nothing else."

Victor, with his beastly, muscular body, felt his thighs being locked by the delicate yet soft skin of the woman as she wrapped her leg around him, not letting him retreat or take out his thing even an inch away from her.

Leaving him with nothing but just his face slowly retreating back.

While his eyes blinked, meeting a smirk tugging on those red lips, which marked the hint of bites and swell around it.

"Oh? How about me then... I mean, ain't I better than her in a few..." Livina said, with her eyes narrowed and hand clawing on the seat before pulling him even more.

While spreading her leg to the extreme with a clear hint of the twitch around his things as she tightened her lower belly.

"Rgghhh..." Victor reflexively groaned as he felt something he thought had already become habitual after all night of efforts.

She gave a smirk on seeing Victor's eyes widening clearly, something which seemed to make her feel satisfied from within but not enough.

As she leaned up, lifting her head from the pillow to an inch, given Victor had his face steady enough for her to part her lips and say in a hushed voice, "...manners?..."

"th-this—" Forgetting for a moment that he was a man and shouldn't react in this way as he felt himself being sucked so tightly that he was about to erupt and paint her insides again if not for a voice.

"Don't you feel embarrassed for being so obvious, Sister?"

Came the voice of the woman, not loud but mild, not strong but firm, as if like someone who had been strong for so long.

Withstanding everything, even the humiliation she was seeing right in front within her bedroom on the same bed of hers, where her husband was lying with her sister in a way that might tatter any image of the limits that keep humans separate from animals.

'Is this it, Victor?' Luna, with her hand folded and eyes narrowed, found herself standing there, looking towards her man who was clearly taken aback looking back at her.

Eyes meeting his wife as he separated himself away from Livina, who felt her mouth twitch and went cold after hearing the tsunt from Luna—a sister she doesn't claim.

Livina just ruffled her hair, the purple strands with an amused sigh as she bunched it while giving a smirk of a woman who seemed to have just won a battle.

Slowly pulling the sheet to cover herself as she seated, and the man slowly stood taking the towel while tying it around his waist.

"Is this the manner you talk to your sister, Luna?"

Victor boldly stated as he narrowed his gaze toward Luna, who stood with her hands folded, clearly in a beautiful dress unlike the nightgown she should have been wearing at such an hour.

And how would she be? After all, he had clearly fed her sleeping pills on the pretext of having dinner with her.

But what annoyed him even more was how, at such a late hour, she was barging in like an unmannerly person while holding an artifact in her hand, interrupting the quality time he was spending with Livina on their first night.

"Manners?" Luna said as she looked towards the ceiling, exhaling her breath clearly before glancing through squinted red eyes, muttered," Hearing that word from two dogs in heat seems to make it less appealing to my ears."

But in truth, she was trying to appear composed, but given her heartbeat and a clear ache spreading across her chest, she was hardly suppressing her tears.

Though definitely knowing well that those precious things were definitely not to be said on these two trasses.

"LUNA!"

Victor shouted, his clear rage directed at the woman—the only one clothed within the royal chamber—who used to tremble.

Now, she stood unmoving, withstanding the intense shockwave caused by Victor throughout the room.

Strong enough to make someone as weak-hearted as Luna tremble, just as she usually did.

But today... she just stood unmoving.

Unbeknownst to him, when the burden of emotions for a woman reaches a point where even her tears dry, there is nothing left but just a burden far stronger than fear or anger.

As she reaches a stage where she feels that everything is just futile.

A stage where, if a woman reaches it, it means she doesn't have anything to lose.

Luna had reached that phase just by the sheer amount of emotions she was bearing from the childhood of having her father killed.

Then, an upbringing by the uncle with a cousin sister who never appreciated her efforts to be a family.

Growing up with excellent academic scores, she was bullied due to jealousy from those who misrepresented her status. Despite her attempts to be humble, she was perceived as arrogant, much like a villainous character.

Somewhat passing out of the academy while losing the only friend she thought was hers.

Everything seemed normal until her marriage was fixed with Victor, the alpha of the Avriantya clan known for their strength in the border areas of Wenhan Empire.

Someone possessing clear status equivalent to a prince, only for her to become nothing but a trophy wife.

A wife, who naturally withstands everything, handled estate, taxes like she should.

But he, instead of appreciating, took all of her efforts as his own credit.

While slowly, her sister, as usual, tarnished her image again as a villainess who was feasting on the prince's assets—doing nothing, just wasting resources, creating revolt and whatnot—until today.

While she—the extravagant trophy wife—was bearing his responsibilities all this time.

Her husband forgetting his duties, unaware that the southwest of the estate had been infiltrated by the barbarian tribes of wolves engaging in a heated session with her sister.

"Yell all you want, Javrian had already infiltrated our territory. Would be arriving soon anyway."

Luna, as if nonresponsive about what catastrophe might fall on her if those savage barbarian wolves were to infiltrate the royal palace.

Since much more in relief as she saw Victor's expression instantly darkening as he blinked, looking at her before instantly closing the distance of ten meters within a second.

Arriving as he grabbed her shoulder.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!"

Victor yelled, and his voice, due to possessing the spark energy, caused Luna, who stood, to start bleeding from her ears.

Her eardrums had been clearly pierced by the man who did not understand how to handle her, nor ever tried to.

Even in this moment, while uncaring of the force he was exerting on her shoulder, holding her.

She, having that exhausted eyes, still appeared beautiful with those long eyelashes, gave small smiles.

Not the natural, but more like forced, given she was in pain.

But the pain of her ears or shoulder far smaller than the burdens she bore all her life.

And Luna, as if withered like a flower, held her last petal just for this long moment that came in the end with a small tear sliding past her right eye.

Falling without losing like the waterfall, she declared in a voice that sent chills throughout the room.

"He will kill you, Victor."
