Yuriko turned to him—only to meet his suddenly opened, shining eyes.

In the next instant, Akuto withdrew from her, reaching his hand aside. A blade of dazzling holy light materialized instantly.
"A powerful foe approaches. Yuriko, take Saya and retreat. I'll handle this."
"Yes… Akuto-kun, please be careful."
With a flash, he was gone. Yuriko quickly shook her daughter awake.

Meanwhile.
Outside the courtyard walls of the Takagi estate.
A towering zombie—over 12 feet (3.6 meters) tall—was tearing into corpses in the graveyard!
Not the corpses of ordinary people, but the freshly slain awakened ones from that very morning.
As it devoured them, its hulking frame swelled further, soon surpassing 15 feet (4.5 meters).
At the cemetery, Kaguya and Saeko were the first to arrive.
"Saeko-san, this is the abnormal zombie the patrol discovered."

Struggling to rise, she barely had time to react before the giant zombie loomed above her.
At that critical instant—several blasts of water struck its chest!

Saeko looked toward the source—and there he was, that familiar figure.
