Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: The Real Summit War Begins

Luffy was unaware of the current state of his crew.

Gazing at the nearby Marine Headquarters, his only thought was to find a way inside quickly.

The Marines, following their initial plan, had already brought Fire Fist Ace to the execution platform, preparing to begin the live broadcast of the execution.

Whether to broadcast live had been a topic of internal debate within the Marines. Ultimately, Sengoku overruled the objections and decided to stick with the original plan: a worldwide live broadcast of Fire Fist Ace's execution.

After all, the Sky Screen video had clearly indicated the Marines would broadcast live, and their subsequent performance had been less than satisfactory.

Therefore, to maintain the Marines' credibility, this live broadcast was essential.

They also learned from the lessons in the Sky Screen, paying close attention to the situation underwater, absolutely not allowing the Whitebeard Pirates to enter from below again.

Once the execution began, Sengoku once again delivered a series of high-sounding speeches, though unlike in the Sky Screen, he did not reveal Ace's background.

Since everyone already knew Ace was the bloodline of Pirate King Roger, after expressing the irreconcilable opposition between the Marines and pirates, he simply waved for the executioners to proceed.

Of course, before the execution, he carefully checked the executioners' status, ensuring no one had infiltrated, before feeling reassured.

As the executioners received Sengoku's order, they immediately raised their large swords high, about to bring them down on Ace.

At this critical moment, a sudden attack blocked the blades descending towards Ace's neck and simultaneously knocked out both executioners.

Sengoku quickly looked and discovered it was an attack from Red-Haired Shanks.

With him were not only the Red Hair Pirates crew but also former members of the Roger Pirates.

"I never thought you'd really come, Red Hair. Are you truly going to participate in this war?" Sengoku looked at Shanks, his tone grave.

"Ah, since I'm here, it proves my choice. Fire Fist Ace must be saved," Shanks replied with a smile, giving his answer to Sengoku.

"In that case, there's nothing more to say. All Marines, prepare for battle!"

"Yes!"

At Sengoku's command, the Marines charged towards the Red Hair Pirates members, who promptly counterattacked.

Just then, the Whitebeard Pirates also arrived.

They quickly joined the Red Hair Pirates, also charging towards the execution platform.

With them came several members of the Beasts Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates.

However, the purpose of these two pirate crews' presence was not for Fire Fist Ace.

They had chosen to side with the Marines this time, opposing the Whitebeard Pirates and Red Hair Pirates.

Thus, on the summit battlefield now stood only two factions. One was the alliance formed by the Whitebeard Pirates and Red Hair Pirates to save Fire Fist Ace.

The other was the opposing alliance composed of the Marines, the Warlords of the Sea, the Beasts Pirates, and the Big Mom Pirates.

The goal of this opposing alliance was not only to execute Fire Fist Ace but, more importantly, to severely cripple the Whitebeard Pirates.

Fierce fighting erupted between the two sides. As the battle intensified, Luffy's group from Impel Down suddenly appeared before everyone, just like in the video.

He arrived shouting directly at Ace on the execution platform,

"Ace! I'm here to save you!"

Ace, seeing everyone who had come, was moved to tears once again.

"Pops... Luffy... everyone... You still came after all."

The appearance of Luffy's group did contribute to changing the situation on the battlefield.

Since Kaido and Big Mom hadn't come personally, the Marine side's strength couldn't completely overwhelm the pirate side.

Luffy's arrival also brought Revolutionary Army Cadre Emporio Ivankov, former Warlord Crocodile, and Jinbe—all forces not to be underestimated.

For the Whitebeard Pirates, this was a significant boost.

They immediately threw themselves into the battle.

Soon after, Sabo, who had regained his memories, arrived with Robin.

"Dragon Claw!"

Sabo's appearance immediately attracted everyone's attention.

One Marine recognized him and shouted in panic,

"It's the Revolutionary Army Chief of Staff, Sabo! He actually came! That's the second-in-command of the Revolutionary Army! Did he come for Emporio Ivankov?"

"What?!"

Those who heard were shocked.

Sabo?

Luffy, who was fighting nearby, also heard. After forcefully repelling an enemy, he looked in the direction the Marines were staring.

Before him appeared a figure he knew very well, someone he thought was dead.

"Sabo... is it really you? Weren't you... weren't you already..."

Luffy couldn't continue.

He suddenly charged towards Sabo, tackling him to the ground, wailing loudly, "Sabo! Waaaah...!"

"There, there," Sabo said, patting Luffy's shoulder with a smile. "I'm really sorry it took me so long to remember. But I'm also grateful I could remember. Otherwise, if I only learned the truth after Ace's death, like in the video... I don't even dare think how I would have been."

While Luffy and Sabo were reuniting emotionally, Ace, far away on the execution platform, also spotted Sabo's figure.

"Sabo... is it really you? Really... I never thought we'd reunite under these circumstances. But... but... you're alive... that's really... great."

Ace spoke also unable to hold back tears of joy. He never expected to see his brother, whom he thought dead, again.

That the three brothers would reunite here how could he not be happy?

After catching up, Luffy noticed Robin beside Sabo.

"Robin! You came too! How are you with Sabo?"

Robin smiled.

"I accidentally fell to the Bridge Kingdom before. Sabo and the others saved me."

"Oh, I see," Luffy nodded, indicating he understood.

"Alright," Sabo said, patting Luffy's shoulder again. "We can save the catching up for later. Right now, let's go save our brother."

"Yeah!" Luffy agreed, charging towards where Ace was alongside Sabo.

The Marines quickly moved to intercept.

Different from the Sky Screen video, with the appearance of the Red Hair Pirates and others, Kizaru and Aokiji displayed their true strength, not performing any seemingly half-hearted actions like in the video.

Therefore, in this war, even though the Whitebeard Pirates had more reinforcements than in the video, they didn't easily break through the Marine defenses.
