The Red Ribbon Army begins searching not just for the Dragon Balls but also the Chaos Emeralds. One soldier dares to fight Goku, but Goku knocks him out easily with his tail. Sonic follows up with a quick punch, showing they're unstoppable together.

At the Red Ribbon's icy base, Sonic and Goku charge in.
Sonic grins: "Now, brother, time to have some fun!"
Goku: "Yeah! Let's destroy this place!"
They wreck the army's defenses until they find Android 8, who turns out to be gentle and kind.
Android 8: "Hurting people is wrong… I don't want to fight."
Sonic and Goku realize he has a pure heart. Together, they finish the base, and Android 8 rewards them with the Four-Star Dragon Ball and the Red Chaos Emerald.
After the mission, Sonic and Goku head back to the city. They meet Bulma, who hasn't seen them for days. The police help them reunite, and like the original story, Bulma joins them again.

At the Red Ribbon Army's headquarters, Commander Red learns of the boys' destruction. Furious, he sets his sights on the Dragon Balls for himself. Meanwhile, Bulma and Yamcha's relationship starts breaking down, just like canon.
Goku, Sonic, Krillin, and Bulma need to go underwater for the next Dragon Ball. They ask Master Roshi for help. Roshi agrees and gives them a submarine.
Sonic, nervous: "Uh… guys, I can't swim. Water freaks me out…"
Goku: "Don't worry, nothing will happen!"
They dive deep, dodging traps inside an old lab. General Blue ambushes them, but Sonic knocks him back with a Spin Dash while Goku uses martial arts. Together, with Krillin and Bulma's help, they escape with the Dragon Ball.
