This was the first time that a life form from outside the world had appeared in the great ocean—and it was such an astonishing, breathtakingly beautiful flower.
Even in this current that devoured all things, they could bloom peacefully, full of vitality.
All the gods could clearly feel the profound blessings of Mother Gaia upon that flower crown.
One must understand, in this ocean current, even Oceanus's divine palace was formed entirely of pure water.
Aside from a few high-grade divine artifacts gifted by other gods, nothing could exist within the ocean current.
Many daughters of the ocean clamored to admire the flower crown, and the gentle Metis was not a stingy goddess.
However, faced with her sisters' requests, she firmly refused.
They could look—but not touch, and certainly not wear it.
This was a gift she cherished.
In that moment, she drew countless envious glances from the goddesses of the ocean.
Especially one of her younger sisters—Eurynome—her eyes literally lit up. Truly lit up. And she was flushed with envy.
As for Zeus, after returning to the world, he no longer wore that relaxed smile he had in front of Metis. It was replaced by a deep and solemn gravity, as fathomless as an abyss.
He knew that the real battle was beginning now.
This was a gamble concerning the future of the universe and his own destiny.
Rebellion—especially rebelling against the God-King—challenging the supreme divine authority—could only be done with a heart prepared to die. Without that resolve, success was impossible.
Even though the memory held a "successful outcome," it was just a few casual sentences on paper, glossing over the blood and fire within.
In reality, many things could never be repeated—there was no "try again."
The success of many endeavors was filled with chance and luck and could not simply be replicated.
When it came time for actual execution, the slightest carelessness would lead to a tragic end.
Rebellion allowed no margin for error—not even the smallest. One misstep, and all would be lost.
Every move required the utmost caution and precision. No matter how meticulous or well-planned, it would never be excessive.
If he failed, the consequences would be far worse than death.
Life in Tartarus—that was truly worse than death. Eternal and unending torment and agony.
Compared to that, death seemed a blessing. Even death was a luxury.
Now, the one he wished to overthrow was Kronos, the God-King!
The currently invincible God-King! Absolutely invincible!
His grand titles couldn't even fit on a single scroll! His authority extended to nearly every corner of the universe.
To face a god like that with ease would be the height of stupidity—courting one's own destruction.
After all, in his previous life, he had spent just over twenty years living on a small blue planet, enjoying the most ordinary, peaceful, and comfortable life.
It was during a trip to Athens, Greece, under a clear blue sky, that a bolt of lightning struck without warning, abruptly ending that uneventful life.
Who knew why there was lightning on a sunny day?
That bolt of lightning split apart the past—and the future.
Perhaps it was destiny.
The seeds of fate had long been sown.
Because in his previous life, his name had also been Zeus!
His family had the rare surname "Zhou"—pronounced like "Zeus"—and his father, a lover of Greek mythology, somehow decided on the given name "Si."
One could only say the name was outrageously bold. Fortunately, he was born in a large Eastern country where the name didn't carry taboo connotations—just drew a few curious stares.
Thinking back, it was actually terrifying. If his family name had been "Zhang" and his father had named him Zhang Bairen—that might've invited divine lightning right then and there, even without needing to visit Greece.
When he next opened his eyes, he saw a scene beyond imagination—something no words or language could fully describe. It was as though he were submerged in a sea of concepts.
If he had to describe it—it was a world composed of countless points and lines, countless strange lights, infinitely complex, strange, and mysterious.
Yet he felt no unfamiliarity toward this "world," as if his soul had some ancient connection with it.
After an unknown length of time—perhaps only an instant—
When he opened his eyes again to see the real world, what lay before him was an immeasurably vast and magnificent world.
Boundless and awe-inspiring—and filled with infinite anticipation.
Becoming Zeus was an infinitely glorious thing. This near-omniscient and omnipotent divine father—his divine life was a power fantasy to the extreme.
But—he had become him too early!
Before becoming God-King, Zeus had to survive the deadly Titanomachy to claim his throne!
That was a bloody war to seize the authority to rule the universe!
And this process—in his previous life—was summed up in just a few hundred words on paper, glossing over countless trials and bloodshed.
Only the heavens knew—when Zeus lay in the cradle suspended from a tree, and saw the towering god-mountain that defied mortal imagination—what he truly felt.
That mountain loomed high, piercing the stars, as if it were the very pillar of the world.
This was a mythological world at its highest setting!
Every inch of land overflowed with divine power. Every view bore the imprint of divine law. The world's level was unimaginably high!
The great gods wielded terrifying authority and power beyond mortal comprehension. Even within his infant body, he could feel that immense power.
Those Curetes assigned to symbolically guard him—these mighty demigods—would be top-tier powerhouses in any ordinary mythological world.
But under his gaze, it was clear—they were beings he could crush with a wave of his hand. Utterly insignificant.
This world was of a scale beyond words, of a magnitude beyond reckoning—beyond any known dimension or imagination.
Time did not yet have a defined meaning. From infancy to now, who knew how long had passed—it was an unmeasurable figure.
The more he learned about this world, the more he realized its vastness and unfathomable nature.
A continent of pure matter as massive as the solar system—such a thing was unimaginable!
Its poles so far apart that even the speed of light from his previous life would take a year or two to cross—and the world was still expanding rapidly, never stopping!
The solar system, though vast, was just empty cosmic space. Its actual material content compared to its diameter was negligible—almost nonexistent.
Here, even a random hill was larger than the sun from his previous life! That scale—it was utterly suffocating.
The energy density of this continent was alarmingly high!
Throw a few rocks into the universe—that's a planet. Toss a small hill—that's a massive star.
At first, Zeus couldn't imagine how powerful a sun god would be here!
Later he learned—the concept of the sun god wasn't tied to a single sun, but to the light of all stars!
And even gods like the Sun God, before his own mother, dared not raise their voice. Every word had to be spoken with reverence!
His mother, the stunning Rhea—seemingly gentle and frail—was actually the embodiment of the universe's foundational laws. Her strength defied description.
A single tear from her could create a demigod. In truth, if she wished, a single tear could forge a true god.
A real god.
But even a mighty goddess like Rhea, a primordial Titan herself, had no power to resist the will of the current Second Generation God-King.
And that was the god Zeus now faced—the one he intended to overthrow—a truly invincible God-King.
The myths of Zeus before becoming God-King barely filled a thousand words in total.
Regarding his current predicament, that knowledge wasn't useless—but it was of limited value. It could only offer small comfort.
Relying solely on what he knew from his past life to overthrow the God-King? That challenge was absurdly beyond the scope of possibility.
Bluntly put—it was pure fantasy.
That god-mountain, which grew with the world, could be seen simply by looking up.
Mount Othrys—the symbol of the God-King's infinite majesty, the mountain representing the center of universal order—that's where the invincible God-King resided.
An infinite, terrifying pressure weighed constantly on Zeus, never once lifting. Compared to this, the Sword of Damocles was utterly trivial.
He had spent countless time, exhausting all efforts to grow, until now—when he perfectly controlled his divine authority, his strength could no longer increase, and he had learned as much as possible about the universe—only then did he decide to act!
Even so, Zeus dared not grow complacent, not even a little. Rebellion against the God-King allowed no room for error!
Not a single mistake was allowed!
The tangled, varied legends from his past life—he could trust them, but only a tiny bit.
If he dared treat them as scripture—he would surely meet a terrible end!
Most likely something worse—falling into a fate more horrifying than death.
In the end, Zeus decided that caution mattered most!
Take the paths that had already been proven. Minimize the risks!
For intelligent life, wisdom is the most important trait! It is the power to perceive all and reverse the heavens!
For all things, plan before acting—that is the way to victory!
He had to gain the support of the Goddess of Wisdom first, weaken the God-King, and make the invincible ruler vulnerable.
He had to tear away the façade of invincibility from the God-King, then gather the support of most gods—let them see hope, see the possibility of overthrowing the old order.
Only by doing this could he achieve ultimate victory, steadily and surely!
Countless sages and examples told Zeus—arrogance and recklessness led only to death. Only humility and caution guaranteed success!
The beginning is always the hardest. Now it was time to take the first, hardest, most important, and most critical step!
