Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: What Can We Do About This?

Does the God King have family affairs? Can matters that decide the dominion of the universe be family affairs?

Forget about asking them for help—there's real fear they might directly switch sides on the battlefield.

As for the sacred goddess of righteous order, she had long grown tired of the God King's order. As the defender of order, she had already left Mount Othrys.

To ask her to help maintain this crumbling old order would be sheer delusion.

She stood alone as a god, pure and flawless, with no leverage to be coerced.

Moreover, justice yields to no coercion!

Despicable and vile methods would only thoroughly enrage Themis.

The goddess of order was too powerful—she absolutely could not be pushed to the enemy's side.

Otherwise, that would truly be a tremendous disaster.

As for Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory who governed all knowledge and the past, she too had always been a solitary god, her wisdom as profound as the endless starry sky.

But...

She had always been close friends with God Queen Rhea, their bond deep and intimate like sisters.

This...

That she wouldn't enter the field to help God Queen Rhea was already quite remarkable—how could she possibly support the God King to oppose her dear friend and her children?

Calculating this way, the only ones qualified to participate in the battlefield were Mother Goddess Gaia, Lady of the Night Nyx, and Sea God Pontus.

But unfortunately, the God King had offended all of these deities to the bone.

Even asking them to remain neutral would be difficult, let alone getting them to lend assistance.

There were also the Hundred-Handed Ones—they were born from drops of Father Sky Uranus's divine blood falling upon the earth, and had always obeyed only Mother Goddess Gaia's commands.

They lived on the earth under Mother Goddess Gaia's protection, who granted them the characteristic of eternal immortality.

They were also strong, numbering a full one hundred and fifty, but since Mother Goddess Gaia had even pulled away Pontus, she certainly wouldn't let them participate in this war either.

Prometheus, in a corner of the temple, calculated alone back and forth, the worry between his brows growing ever heavier.

He finally discovered with sorrow that aside from somehow getting the two Titans who governed intellect and insight—Coeus and Phoebe—to lend assistance, he could find no other great gods who might possibly take action.

But this couple had always been low-key and reserved, and as great gods of brilliant intellect with bottomless wisdom who could perceive worldly affairs and discern success from failure, it would probably be very difficult to get them to wade into these muddy waters.

Prometheus pondered for a long time, nearly pulling out his hair, and finally quietly withdrew from the temple without disturbing any god.

He returned home at the fastest speed—he needed to go home and seek help and guidance from his mother goddess.

Under these dire circumstances, within the entire Iapetus family, the only one who could engage in effective discussion with Prometheus and provide wisdom support was his mother goddess, the ocean goddess Clymene.

Clymene, this beautiful and powerful ocean goddess, was among the outstanding ones of the second generation Titans.

She possessed eyes as deep blue as the ocean, waterfall-like black hair, skin as pure as pearls, and a graceful figure full of the gentle charm of an ocean daughter.

Moreover, beneath her seemingly delicate frame lay incredibly terrifying power.

To put it simply, if Prometheus wanted to fight his mother goddess, the odds would only be three to seven.

In three breaths, Clymene would knock him down seven times.

If Clymene did not possess transcendent beauty and extraordinarily powerful strength, Iapetus would never have married a daughter of Oceanus as his wife.

Of course, if Clymene did not possess extraordinary wisdom, her father Oceanus would not have married her to Iapetus in alliance.

Her wisdom far exceeded that of ordinary deities, and only such a wise mother goddess could give birth to Prometheus, this prescient god.

She had always been unwilling for Iapetus to participate in this matter, partly because the ocean god system was at odds with the God King.

But this wise and beautiful Titan goddess also truly felt that God King Kronos had already lost the hearts of the gods, and the current harsh and decaying order would inevitably face destruction.

If the Iapetus family remained tightly bound to the God King, everyone's fate probably wouldn't be too good.

But Iapetus's will was loyal to the point of stubbornness—he never listened to the ocean daughter's caring and gentle advice.

About this, Clymene was helpless, as the will of a Titan god was not something others could easily change.

After attempting to persuade him several times and finding it futile, what worried Clymene most were her children.

The sons about to be drawn into war—their fate kept her constantly frowning with worry.

After Iapetus took the children to Mount Othrys, Clymene remained alone at home, with worry covering her beautiful face like leaden clouds.

Regarding the current situation, she saw it all too clearly—she knew more than Iapetus and the children.

Her benevolent and wise father god Oceanus had already secretly sent word to inform her clearly that the entire ocean god system, including all dependents of rivers, lakes, and seas, had already fully supported Zeus!

The ocean system had completely bet everything on Zeus, with all ocean gods obeying Zeus's command.

Moreover, in extreme circumstances, Oceanus and his wife did not rule out taking personal action, even if it meant breaking their oath.

This meant that the Ocean God had already determined that the final victor would be Zeus.

They had already placed all their hopes and future on the new gods' side.

That earth-shaking divine war from before was witnessed by all gods, and the terrible conflict left them with deep memories.

The hard power between the sons of Kronos and the God King was already not at a disadvantage.

Their power was already not at a disadvantage—what about everything else?

Others might not know, but Clymene knew that her sister Metis was the goddess of wisdom.

The goddess of wisdom would not make wrong decisions.

The embodiment of wisdom—her judgment would never be wrong, and her choice must represent ultimate victory!

This meant that power not weaker than the God King's had already gained the assistance of profound wisdom.

Then the scales of victory were already unquestionably tilting toward Zeus's side.

As for the hearts of the gods, well...

Did the God King still have such a thing?

Apart from her foolish husband and children.

With their family relationship, jumping to Zeus's side would still allow them to live very well, but her husband and children absolutely refused to abandon ship!

Her husband and children now firmly guarded a ship destined to capsize, stubbornly refusing to listen to advice—naturally Clymene was extremely worried.

Prometheus returned home with a face full of worry, his eyes that could perceive the future now also filled with concern.

He told Clymene everything that had happened in the temple, shared his analysis and worries with her, and finally asked with helplessness and hope: "Mother Goddess, from the current situation, things look extremely unfavorable for the God King. What should our Iapetus family do?"
