Chapter 81 - Chapter 81: Prometheus Quick, Defect! Quick! (Bonus Chapter 1)

Because God King Kronos's corrupt rule had been completely abandoned by the goddess of order!

The God King's rule no longer possessed justice, was no longer sacred order!

The God King's order was no longer the universe's truly legitimate order!

When a ruler no longer possessed the legitimacy of justice, no longer held the legitimacy of order, how long could this ruling order be maintained?

When Zeus returned to Mount Olympus, the gods had already fallen into revelry.

This matter of rebellion was neither easy to speak of nor pleasant to hear.

However, at this moment, what they were engaged in was no longer simple "rebellion," but a magnificent struggle against unjust rule!

Their "rebellion" now had genuine reasonableness and legitimacy!

No, what rebellion?

This was an uprising!

An uprising for justice and rebirth throughout the universe!

An incomparably noble and great righteous cause!

When Zeus returned, God Queen Rhea had also come back from visiting Mnemosyne, the goddess of civilized memory.

She had received enthusiastic hospitality from the memory goddess during this trip.

However, regarding the request for help from her good friend and sister Rhea, Mnemosyne remained noncommittal throughout, giving no clear response.

Gentle God Queen Rhea quietly pulled Zeus aside and said softly: "Zeus, Mnemosyne's attitude was very strange."

"She entertained me very warmly, but regarding my request, she gave no specific reply."

"Moreover, she said she hoped you would personally seek her out for discussion. She wants to meet you."

"Hmm?"

Upon hearing this, Zeus pondered briefly, smiled, and said: "Since the respected memory goddess wishes to see me, then I shall make the trip."

Memory Goddess Mnemosyne commanded all existing memories throughout the universe.

She was the mother of inspiration for all arts and knowledge, governing all knowledge, memories, language, literature, art, and science. She was the symbol of civilization, even the symbol of the world's "existence."

She was the wellspring of inspiration and creativity, the cornerstone of all civilized and intellectual progress. She clarified all true origins and conditions for survival's victory—her importance was self-evident.

Though this goddess was not skilled in direct combat, anyone who did not respect her would inevitably pay the most painful price.

Though the goddess acted low-key, this was absolutely no reason not to value her highly.

Sacred Rhea smiled gently and comforted: "There won't be any problems. Mnemosyne is a very good god—she's my most intimate close friend. She's always been gentle and dignified, profound and rich in wisdom. Meeting with her will be of great help to you too."

Zeus nodded with a smile: "Mother Goddess, I understand."

Having decided, he would act—Zeus never lacked the most precious quality of execution.

But before Zeus departed, a small accident occurred.

Metis came to tell him that Iapetus's son, Prometheus, had swiftly come seeking audience.

That's right—after goddess of order Themis explicitly judged God King Kronos's order as corrupt and wrong, Prometheus completely gave up any hope for the God King's side achieving victory.

He immediately went to find his mother Clymene, asking her to introduce him to her sister, ocean goddess daughter Metis.

He wanted to defect to Zeus!

He hadn't communicated with his father and brothers about this matter at all, because he knew communication would be useless.

Since that was the case, defect first and talk later!

As long as he showed sufficient loyalty to the future God King, perhaps after the future God King achieved final victory, he might, considering his contributions, forgive his father and brothers and fight for them a chance at survival.

Upon hearing Metis say that Prometheus had come to pledge loyalty, Zeus raised an eyebrow slightly, his lips curving in a meaningful smile.

He stepped forward and took Metis's moist and tender little hand, unable to help sighing inwardly: Truly worthy of being an ocean goddess daughter—this skin is really smooth.

Zeus's deep and magnetic voice sounded: "My wise love, what do you think Iapetus's son's purpose is in coming to pledge loyalty to me?"

Wise Metis was still not quite accustomed to Zeus's such intimate gestures.

That strange and intense yearning feeling always made her feel she might lose herself because of it.

However, clear reason could never suppress the joy in her heart. Being close to her beloved always made her so expectant yet reluctant to part.

She neither wanted to refuse Zeus nor worried that Zeus might misunderstand her refusal as not loving him.

In the end, she could only let everything be as he wished, allowing her heart's beloved to do as he pleased.

Even as the goddess of wisdom, in love's whirlpool, the anguish of gain and loss would tenaciously entangle her.

The purple-haired, golden-eyed goddess, hearing Zeus's words, gently pressed her lips together and slowly said: "The death weaver and his family are the God King's most steadfast supporters, and also the only family the God King has granted honor to."

"His eldest son, violent strength Atlas; his second son, arrogant and rash Menoetius, have always been high-profile and flamboyant, consistently following only the God King's commands."

"But his third son, known as the 'Foreknowing One' Prometheus, and his youngest son, the 'Afterknowing One' Epimetheus, have always been low-key and modest, not fond of showing off."

"Epimetheus is said to be somewhat clumsy, likes to think himself clever, only looks at immediate concerns when acting, always becomes aware only after making mistakes, then refuses to correct them and continues making the same mistakes next time."

"He is indeed extremely low-key, rarely goes out, and not many deities have seen him."

"As for Prometheus, he is extremely wise with vast knowledge, likes to wander around the world everywhere. His reputation for wisdom is known to all gods—it's said he's so wise he can even predict the future."

Zeus listened to this bright-eyed goddess's account, nodding from time to time in agreement.

Without knowing when, he had already tightly embraced his beloved into his broad arms, carefully feeling the ocean daughter's moist softness.

When he heard Metis mention Epimetheus, the smile at his lips became even more meaningful.

Nestled tightly in Zeus's broad and warm embrace, the goddess's thoughts had long been shrouded by gentle mist.

Sweet dizziness made her almost forget everything worldly—how could she notice the meaningful smile at her beloved's lips?

She pressed against Zeus's chest, using that voice like gently flowing ocean currents, carrying a trace of shy trembling, continuing: "With Prometheus's wisdom, as the foreknowing god, he must understand that final victory will inevitably belong to us."

"Will inevitably belong to you! Illustrious Zeus, glorious Zeus, great Zeus!"

"God King Kronos's supreme glory and authority will inevitably pass to your hands without suspense!"

"Zeus, my love, you will inevitably possess all victory and honor!"
