Chapter 82 - Chapter 82: Prometheus Is Getting a Bit Anxious

The infatuated goddess's words were filled with unconditional trust and worship for Zeus.

Zeus lowered his head to gaze at the delicate goddess in his arms, temporarily stopping his mischief. The smile at his lips became increasingly warm and gentle, spreading like spring sunshine throughout Metis's heart.

His smile, capable of captivating any goddess, made Metis reluctant to look away.

The wisdom goddess's absolutely beautiful face slightly averted her gaze from shyness, yet pressed even closer to Zeus's chest.

She continued softly: "Since Prometheus already knows the final outcome, then as such a wise deity, he will definitely choose to pledge loyalty to the victor."

"He should be thinking of his father and brothers, hoping that after defeat, he can request you to forgive his father and brothers' transgressions."

Metis paused and said softly: "Perhaps there's another layer of meaning."

"That is, he might want to use this to 'taint' your reputation, making you appear like a narrow-minded God King in the gods' eyes."

"If you don't accept him, or even directly take action against him, then many gods will become wary of you, even disappointed."

"This way, perhaps this war will have more complications and added difficulties."

Zeus nodded lightly, a trace of playful smile appearing at his lips again: "It seems this deity known as the 'Foreknowing One' has indeed given me a seemingly 'choiceless choice.'"

"No matter what decision I ultimately make, it seems advantageous and harmless for him."

Metis shook her head, her soft purple hair lightly brushing Zeus's arm: "Not necessarily so. As long as you give him sufficient respect and don't take action against him, even if you ultimately don't accept him, it won't produce too much negative impact."

Zeus remained noncommittal, only asking softly: "Then, my love, do you think we should accept him?"

Metis pondered briefly and said seriously: "We should accept him. We should strive for all the power we can possibly gain, and never push away the enemy's wise ones."

"Regardless of whether he will help us with all his strength, as long as he no longer helps the God King, that's already tremendous help for us."

"Moreover, this can also show the gods our attitude—we only want to overthrow the corrupt order and have no intention of condemning those innocent or non-stubborn gods."

"We should give the gods more choices: choose to be loyal to you, and we welcome all; choose to remain neutral, and we respect that."

"Only those stubborn and corrupt deities who resolutely remain loyal to the God King will face our most severe strikes."

"God King Kronos has never given the gods real choices. All gods know well that besides being loyal to him, even remaining neutral is tantamount to betrayal. Compared to this, they will naturally be more inclined toward us in their hearts."

"Furthermore, even the most loyal family to the God King has deities coming to join us—doesn't this prove even more that we will definitely win final victory?"

Zeus suddenly kissed Metis's pretty face and nodded with a smile:

"My love, what brilliant radiance you are! You possess infinite beauty and wisdom. You make my heart so soft and tender, you make my mind wise and bright. With you accompanying me by my side, final victory is already destined, no longer any suspense."

"My love, we truly think as one—your thoughts are completely the same as mine."

Never underestimate the power of words, especially sweet talk.

After finishing his daily sweet words, Zeus continued: "Father and child need not necessarily be the same. Since a god is willing to come pledge loyalty to me, how can I turn him away?"

"How can a God King's heart be so narrow? A God King's heart should be as broad as this vast boundless universe!"

Zeus raised his head, his gaze piercing through the temple's lofty dome toward the endless sky, smiling: "All gods throughout the universe, as long as they're willing to rush toward bright order, I, Zeus, will accept them."

"Because I am the sky."

His simple words contained endless confidence and magnificent magnanimity. His incomparably firm words echoed in the palace halls like great bells, shocking hearts.

Nestled in her beloved's broad and warm embrace, Metis's fair head tilted up slightly as she gazed obsessively at such a Zeus.

Her beautiful eyes now sparkled like autumn waters, clear and profound, as if they could drown all starlight—she was nearly mad with infatuation.

Zeus lowered his head again, tenderly kissing the bright-eyed goddess's lips.

Letting the wisdom goddess once again feel the wonderful and strange sensations her divine body had never experienced before.

Her wisdom seemed to instantly fly to the ninth heaven, drifting everywhere in the vast star river, just unable to return to her body no matter what, leaving only pure and ultimate happiness and joy.

Zeus fully savored the sweetness that wisdom brought—that taste was simply a hundred times sweeter than the richest, most delicious divine wine in the universe, making him unable to resist wanting to be intoxicated within it, unable to extricate himself.

After gently separating, while wisdom still couldn't recover reason, this fickle yet charismatic divine lord whispered sweet words softly: "My love, having you is my eternal fortune. We think as one—how I want to let you see the depths of my heart, how passionately it loves you."

"How I wish my heart to be forever filled with your wisdom's radiance. My love, please accept my humble yet sincere love, please never leave my side."

At this moment, the wisdom goddess's originally noble and calm divine nature was all in floating dizziness.

Her golden eyes were filled with infatuation and attachment, tightly locked on her beloved's face.

She tremblingly raised her hand, gently and preciously caressing Zeus's sculptural handsome face, her voice carrying irrepressible deep emotion: "My love, great and illustrious Zeus, my lord—my love for you is as deep as yours for me."

"No matter how beautiful this world itself may be, my world only becomes truly beautiful because of you."

"Forever and ever, I will accompany you by your side, no matter what the path ahead holds."

"My love, Metis swears to you here—you are my love, my lord, my father, my everything. I am forever loyal to you, never to betray!"

This fickle yet sometimes deeply passionate divine lord was truly very moved at this moment.

He tightly embraced the wisdom goddess in his arms who was confused and bewildered by emotion, quietly enjoying this infinite warmth and softness, and Metis's love that was now completely captivated by him.

After quite some time, until Metis's divine nature gradually recovered clarity from that ultimate happiness, she rose to bring the already somewhat anxiously flustered Prometheus before Zeus.

The foreknowing Prometheus was now truly getting a bit panicked.
