Chapter 104 - Chapter 104: Betting the Future! All In!

"Zeus will surely create the most righteous, most sacred universal order, and will surely bring eternal peace and prosperity!"

"Sacred goddess of righteous order Lady Themis has already tacitly approved Zeus's great undertaking—she judged Kronos's rule as unjust and wrong!"

"Therefore, the future universe will surely welcome tranquility and light!"

"Mother Goddess Gaia will no longer suffer from missing you—she will possess you again! We can also forever enjoy this beautiful world!"

Whether before or now, Melius showed extreme reverence for Zeus, his worship and trust undisguised, which reassured the giants considerably.

Several giants quietly exchanged glances. Briareus's fifty massive faces all bore incomparably serious expressions as he asked: "Dear Melius, you are our most intimate companion. We are best friends—you are the only one we can trust now."

"Now we have one most important question to ask you. We hope you will answer us sincerely for the sake of our enduring precious friendship. The answer to this question will determine our entire future."

Melius's expression became serious, carrying incomparably earnest demeanor, his voice filled with unquestionable sincerity: "My dear friends, since Mother Goddess created me, I have been your companion. You have always cared for me and treated me as your best friend. I absolutely will not betray this deep and pure friendship between us!"

"Whatever questions you have, please speak freely. I, Melius, will definitely answer sincerely, without half a false word!"

"In the name of Mother of All Things Gaia, in the name of great Zeus, in the name of my own divine nature—I swear I will never betray our friendship!"

One hundred fifty-three heads nodded heavily with muffled sounds: "Dear Melius, we trust you!"

"We want to know—what kind of god is Kronos's son Zeus exactly? Is he truly worthy of trust and confidence? Is he the same type of god as Kronos? Is his essence also as cruel and merciless as Kronos?"

Melius's expression became extremely serious as he spoke with utmost sincerity and earnestness, word by word: "My dearest friends, I answer your question with the most serious attitude."

"You are my most intimate friends, and great Zeus—I have cared for and raised him since childhood, personally witnessing everything about him. But he is also my lord!"

His voice became passionate and full of power: "I swear by my divine nature—I have never seen such a great god as him!"

"Though he is Kronos's son, he is more truly the son of loving God Queen Rhea!"

"He is completely different from God King Kronos—he inherited Mother Goddess Rhea's mercy and goodness! I raised him from childhood. From youth he was a gentle and merciful god—optimistic and cheerful, close to those he loves, resilient and strong, never easily giving up!"

"He never casually exercises his authority, never bullies or despises gods, never makes false promises, and never harms innocent beings!"

"He respects gods, treats gods humbly, is merciful and generous, magnanimous and just—his character is the most brilliant warm light!"

Melius's voice grew increasingly high-pitched, filled with undisguised worship and reverence: "He is powerfully strong yet wise, brave and decisive yet cautious and careful, diligent and resilient yet upholds responsibility—he is the perfect leader!"

"Facing the terrible war with God King Kronos, he always charges forward first, resisting the God King; facing unfavorable battle situations, he always provides rear guard, fighting for the gods' survival!"

"No matter what happens, as long as he is there, gods can face anything bravely because he is the source of courage; as long as he is there, gods are forever filled with hope because he is hope itself!"

"I incomparably firmly believe he will surely overthrow the corrupt and cruel God King! Will surely become master of the universe! Will surely bring the universe the brightest future!"

"Great Zeus is the most shining hope! The universe's only future!"

The giants never expected Melius's evaluation of Zeus to be so high—practically fanatical, his worship and loyalty completely unreserved.

But their hearts also truly breathed deep sighs of relief. Pretending all along wasn't easy.

Since Melius, who had watched over him since childhood and knew Zeus best, recognized him so completely, it meant he truly was worthy of trust, worthy of their betting their future on him.

Brontes finally asked seriously: "Melius, do you think Kronos's son is truly a god worthy of our entrusting our future to?"

Melius broke into a smile, his expression filled with absolute trust and determination: "I have long since entrusted my everything—my fate and future—to him, without reservation."

"Zeus is the only future! He will lead everything toward light and beauty!"

Upon hearing this, Briareus smiled with relief, letting out a long breath, his voice carrying complete liberation and resolution as he slowly said: "Then let us also entrust everything to this only future, walking together toward the newborn future with him!"

Melius said solemnly: "My dear friends, Zeus never disappoints his friends, because he is hope itself! He will bring you all the beauty you desire!"

The giants had no other thoughts. All doubts had vanished like smoke. They made their decision immediately without the slightest hesitation, directly approaching together to have audience with Zeus.

Magnificent and vast giants—their divine forms were incomparably tall and imposing. Even Zeus's majestic divine form appeared so tiny before them.

But now, their incomparably massive divine forms knelt directly before Zeus, those noble and enormous heads bowing down.

Like the most magnificent peaks kneeling and bowing to mortals, they expressed the most sublime respect and submission to Zeus.

Their decisive dramatic action even caused the surrounding darkness to churn, as if it too trembled for this moment that would decide the universe's future fate.

Poseidon watched this scene in shock, his entire body rigid, his azure eyes filled with disbelief.

Previous respect and current kneeling submission were completely different concepts!

This symbolized the giants' complete allegiance and loyalty to Zeus!

This was something even God King Kronos couldn't accomplish!

Such formidable six giant gods were now simply serving Zeus loyally like this!!!

Cyclops Brontes spoke first, his voice trembling with excitement yet filled with sincerity and respect: "Respected son of Kronos, son of sacred Rhea, illustrious God Zeus!"

"We are infinitely grateful that you saved us from this endless abyss, infinitely grateful that you freed us from never-ending suffering. Your grace is eternal as heaven and earth—we can never repay it!"

"Here, we can only temporarily offer you our insignificant gratitude to express our heartfelt appreciation and loyalty to you!"
