Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: Is This God Trustworthy?

At this time, the six brothers in adversity who had run far to one side, carefully using divine power to shield prying eyes and forming a circle, were discussing content almost identical to what Zeus had said.

After repeated deliberation, they still felt they had no choice, no other options.

This was jailbreaking—what other choice could there be?

Unless they could truly overthrow God King Kronos, sooner or later they would be captured again and cast back into that terrible Tartarus.

This Tartarus—no matter what—they would rather die than enter again!

As for continuing to serve Kronos loyally? They weren't that cheap.

Moreover, Kronos's divine character was completely untrustworthy. Anyone who still believed him would be truly hopelessly stupid.

Even if the God King temporarily accepted them now for victory, afterward he would inevitably turn his back again without hesitation, just as before.

A god couldn't fall into the same pit twice!

After discussing all possible outcomes, they remained silent for a long time, their massive forms appearing somewhat dejected in the darkness.

Finally, Cyclops Brontes summarized: "Whether the God King's son is trustworthy or not, we have no other choice."

"Mother Goddess commissioned him to release us—he at least gained Mother Goddess's recognition and trust. This is our only hope."

"And Kronos... he absolutely cannot be trusted!"

Brontes gritted his teeth, hatred bursting from between his teeth: "This bastard—his brutality and suspicion are carved into his bones. He has already betrayed us once. We absolutely cannot give him a second chance!"

"I would rather die, rather be cast into Tartarus again, than serve him ever again!"

Rumbling Arges spoke in muffled tones, raising the greatest concern: "The God King's son looks as trustworthy as Kronos did back then, but beneath his gentle surface, does he also have the same hypocrisy, shamelessness, brutality, and mercilessness as his father god?"

"What if he later imprisons us again like Kronos did?"

"I think we'd better think of a way now to secure some guarantee for ourselves."

The quickest-thinking Steropes said gravely: "Kronos cast us into Tartarus because he feared our powerful strength—our supreme might inherited from Sky Father and Mother Goddess!"

"Even if Kronos's son becomes the new God King in the future, he will likewise fear our power."

"Even if we are incomparably sincere in our loyalty to the new God King, we possess the power to overthrow the God King—this is something any God King absolutely cannot tolerate."

The six giants fell silent again, their one hundred fifty-three massive heads appearing particularly grave in contemplation.

Finally, Hundred-Handed Giant Gyes slowly said: "Did you all clearly hear what Melius just said about the authority possessed by Kronos's son Zeus?"

Hundred-Handed Giant Kottos—at this moment his volatile nature contained no anger, only calm deep thought.

He gravely stated the Zeus's authorities that Melius had revealed: "Division, harvest, sky, dominion, future, hope."

As soon as he finished speaking, the three Hundred-Handed Giants all looked at the three Cyclops in unison, saying nothing.

Brontes, with helpless fatalism, said in muffled tones: "Kronos's son possesses sky authority—just based on this point alone, he will never spare us three in the future."

Speaking to this point, Steropes had already made his decision, his single eye flashing with resolute light as he said gravely: "Since that's the case, then let's give away our power!"

"We were born bearing Mother Goddess's will to overthrow Sky Father. We inherently arouse the God King's vigilance, but Mother Goddess's schemes failed, and we are also destined never to defeat the God King."

"No matter which God King."

"This is a heavy responsibility we cannot bear, something we cannot accomplish. Since that's the case, let us abandon this inherently ominous power!"

"Kronos's son possesses the authority of division—perhaps this is the destined ending."

Arges declared decisively: "Then let's dedicate our laws to him!"

"Fulfill him, and fulfill ourselves!"

"When we no longer have the power that God Kings fear and covet, plus with Mother Goddess's protection, and we are also wholeheartedly loyal to him—surely he won't drive us to complete destruction?"

Brontes nodded in agreement: "Being proactive is better than being passive. We exchange our own power and authority for his promise of our future—this isn't excessive, and it's the best choice we can make now."

"No matter what, it's better than waiting for him to scheme against us—at that time, everything would be uncontrollable."

The three Cyclops made their decision immediately. After analyzing everything clearly, they were extremely resolute, because they truly feared Tartarus too much.

That experience of being completely tormented and frightened made them now truly only want to live ordinary peaceful lives.

Being able to stay in Mother Goddess's warm embrace, peacefully enjoying this beautiful world, far from all strife and pain—this was now their greatest wish.

The Cyclops had settled on a strategy, but the three Hundred-Handed Giants were completely at a loss.

One hundred fifty faces looked at each other in bewilderment.

They had nothing to give!

They were pure material gods born from Mother of All Things borrowing Sky Father Uranus's power.

They possessed immortal and indestructible power in the material world. Their incomparably formidable strength could easily destroy everything and grew along with the material world's growth.

But they had no law authority whatsoever!

However, wise and powerful Hundred-Handed Giant Briareus, worthy of being the most intelligent giant, with his fifty heads thinking simultaneously, still thought of a solution.

"God King's son Zeus also possesses 'future' and 'hope' authority."

Briareus said gravely, "Then let's entrust our future to him, swear to him that we will live and die with him in the future, that we are his eternal allies, eternally following his will. Our power is his power, completely at his disposal!"

He continued to supplement: "Plus the Cyclops—you also dedicate your law power to God King's son Zeus. This way, we will no longer be the threat that any God King fears, and he has no reason not to accept our allegiance, nor any reason to act against us again."

The other two Hundred-Handed Giants nodded in unison upon hearing this, feeling it made great sense.

The Cyclops also thought this was a good idea. If Kronos's son still wouldn't spare them after this, then they truly had no other options left and could only accept their fate.

After the six giants settled on their plan, they were still uneasy in their hearts.

Briareus said in low voices: "We've thought it through well, and the plan is fairly comprehensive, but this is Kronos's son after all—we still need to be more cautious."

"Though Mother Goddess trusts him, it might not be anything but a helpless move. We cannot place all our hopes on this."

"Melius is our faithful playmate. We have deep feelings between us, close as brothers."

"This time Mother Goddess sent him to follow Zeus here and required us to obey the God King's son's commands. We might as well listen to his opinion again, learn about Zeus's divine character from him, and hear his most honest thoughts."

Several giants nodded their massive heads in unison upon hearing this, expressing approval of Briareus's suggestion—this was currently the most secure method.

They once again came to Zeus's side, their magnificent and vast massive forms now humbly bowing before Zeus's "tiny" divine form.

Briareus said respectfully: "Majestic God Zeus, we are infinitely grateful for your magnanimity and grace. Your mercy exceeds our imagination."

His massive eyes looked at Melius beside him as he carefully and respectfully pleaded: "Respected Zeus, we deeply miss our dear companion Melius. We have been apart for far too long. Could you permit us to speak with him about our feelings of longing from this long separation and reunion?"

Zeus still showed no impatience, his golden eyes carrying gentle amusement as he simply smiled and waved his hand, indicating permission.

Melius immediately understood and quickly went to the giants' side.

The giants once again respectfully expressed gratitude to Zeus, then carefully pulled Melius aside to begin quiet consultation.

The six giants respectively "embraced" Melius. Their divine forms were too massive and their power too great—they could only carefully give virtual hugs, afraid of directly destroying Melius's "fragile" divine form.

Brontes said with emotion: "Dear Melius, we have been apart for far too long. The endless torment seemed never-ending. How we missed everything from the past—we missed the wonderful times we played together!"

"In that endless void torment, only beautiful memories from the past supported us from complete collapse, allowing us to retain our last trace of reason and hope."

Melius was also very moved. He was a god with a soft heart and abundant emotions.

He drew close to each giant, his voice carrying deep nostalgia: "My dear friends, during the long time you suffered torment, Mother Goddess Gaia also endured the pain of longing. A mother's worry kept her sleepless."

"And I could only endure the torment of loneliness, passing the long years. How I missed you all, cherishing the wonderful times we played together—those sounds of joy and laughter now only distant echoes."

After speaking these low words, his tone suddenly became passionate and full of hope: "Fortunately, sacred and great Zeus appeared! He brought light and hope, rescuing you from that endless void, letting you see daylight again, letting us reunite once more!"

"He not only rescues you but will also rescue the future of the entire universe!"

"He possesses infinitely great power. God King Kronos will completely fail because of him, and the God King's tyrannical rule will completely end!"
