Hades had directly handed them over to Tethys, Mother of All Streams. The two brothers had already learned from Tethys about everything that had happened in the universe during this time, and were now silently drinking in gloom.
Even these rash and violent brothers, facing the now unbreakable cosmic order, couldn't say a word.
But to make them genuinely accept this new order from the bottom of their hearts—that was absolutely impossible!
This universe had indeed become incomparably beautiful, but there was no longer any place for the Iapetus family's rightful glory. No matter how wonderful it was, what use was it?
Great God-King Kronos and their father god Iapetus were still in that most terrible Tartarus abyss, enduring endless torment.
No matter how prosperous this universe became, what meaning did it have for them?
They now had no honor and were still technically criminal gods, imprisoned and supervised in the ocean.
Unable to even leave the ocean, no matter how beautiful this world was, what did it have to do with them?
Fortunately, they still had some sense and weren't thinking of immediately rebelling.
They also knew that being supervised in the ocean instead of going to Tartarus with their father god was entirely due to the Ocean God's dignity.
For this, they were grateful in their hearts.
Kind and gentle Tethys had prepared the richest wine and most sumptuous ambrosia for them.
Of course, she hadn't made a big show of holding any welcoming banquet for them—that would be too unwise.
Now it was just her and a few children accompanying these two brothers just released from the underworld.
Such warm comfort was already extremely thoughtful care for these two brothers.
How could wise Tethys not see the undisguised resentment and unwillingness in these two brothers' hearts?
During this time, she had been constantly using both soft and hard methods to admonish and counsel them, demanding they must accept reality and never again have any unrealistic foolish fantasies!
When Oceanus returned, what he saw were these two dejected star gods—formerly.
Ocean God Oceanus was a great deity of gentle temperament and merciful heart.
Precisely because of this, he had never much liked these two grandsons of his.
These two brothers were rash, impulsive, violent, and arrogant, completely incompatible with the peaceful and tolerant nature of the ocean gods.
They were even vastly different from their equally profound and wise parents.
If not for their mother and wife being the Ocean God's most beloved daughters, Oceanus truly didn't want to get involved in managing these troubles.
At this moment, seeing these two brothers silently drinking in gloom, their resentment and unwillingness written plainly on their faces without concealment, regret even arose in his heart.
With these two specimens, it would be difficult to truly control them!
They would probably cause trouble again in the future.
But seeing his two daughters, Clymene and Pleione, each holding their children and comforting their husbands, he could only sigh helplessly in his heart.
Oceanus told them about Zeus's benevolent arrangements for his great-grandchildren—Atlas's children.
After hearing this, the relatively silent Atlas fell into even deeper silence.
He was violent but not cruel, much less hopelessly stupid.
Zeus's actions were already extremely tolerant beyond his imagination.
Speaking fairly, if their positions were reversed, he absolutely couldn't be as tolerant and generous to defeated enemies as Zeus was.
Much less granting honors to criminal gods' children and keeping them as personal attendants.
Being able to forgive those children's sins and allow them to live freely in the sunlit world already seemed like the God-King's great mercy to him.
But arrogant and conceited Menoetius didn't think so.
In his eyes, all this was what the Iapetus family deserved!
It was only because they had been defeated that what they should have possessed had become some ridiculous reward from the victor!
Though Oceanus was gentle, he was always more dignified and serious than his wife Tethys.
Looking at these two grandsons who could never give him peace of mind, Oceanus scolded in an unquestionable, extremely serious tone: "You now know everything clearly. Your children now have excellent destinations. Those past sins caused by you have all been forgiven by His Majesty the God-King."
"His Majesty the God-King's tolerant heart is beyond any contemporary deity's reach. From now on, you absolutely must not do anything foolish again!"
"You must unconditionally obey the sacred and righteous order established by the new God-King! You must not violate it in any way!"
"Otherwise, His Majesty the God-King won't need to act personally! I, Oceanus, will personally send you to eternal Tartarus! You absolutely must not do anything foolish for me! Much less step outside this ocean!"
Seeing these two brothers only nod silently while still saying nothing.
Oceanus continued in earnest tones: "You should recognize your mistakes and must clearly understand the chasm-like gap between you and the great His Majesty the God-King."
"Whether in strength, wisdom, breadth of mind, courage, or anything else, you are completely inferior to His Majesty the God-King in the slightest. Not just you—even Kronos is far inferior."
"The former God-King has already been defeated and cast into that terrible Tartarus. That you two can still live in the ocean is already His Majesty the God-King's supreme tolerance!"
But Menoetius still refused to submit, stubbornly retorting: "Respected Ocean God! His Majesty God-King Kronos was only the victim of that shameless sneak attack! In a fair confrontation, His Majesty the God-King would never lose!"
Oceanus's brows immediately furrowed tightly.
He sternly rebuked: "Silence!"
"His Majesty the God-King would never lose! But that is His Majesty God-King Zeus who would never lose!"
"Menoetius, use your foolish head filled with arrogance to think carefully! Who in the three realms and three domains, among all things and beings, can withstand the God-King's thunder?!"
"Don't let me hear such incredibly stupid words again!"
"You fool, I simply regret pleading for you!"
"Also, remember this! In today's universe, until eternity, there is only one His Majesty the God-King! That is God-King Zeus!"
"Don't mention Kronos to me again!"
Strong and wise Clymene had remained silent while her father god educated her children.
After hearing her son Menoetius's foolish words, her willow brows had furrowed tightly.
Only after her father god finished scolding did she finally speak up, using a tone even more severe than Oceanus's, rebuking with disappointment: "Enough!"
"Menoetius! How could I have given birth to such a fool!"
"How overconfident are you?! How lacking in self-awareness?! You're not even my match!"
"How dare you presume to comment on His Majesty the God-King's greatness and sacredness?"
Clymene was extremely agitated—she was nearly fainting from anger.
She knew her two children were foolish, but foolish to this degree was unimaginable. Even her most simple-minded child Epimetheus couldn't be this stupid.
She scolded more seriously: "From today on, I forbid you to say anything like those foolish words again!"
"Otherwise, His Majesty the God-King won't need to deal with you! I will personally request His Majesty the God-King to cast you into that endless abyss!"
"To save myself from being angered to death by you two fools! And to prevent you from implicating my father god in the future!"
Menoetius was thoroughly scolded by his mother goddess and didn't dare speak again.
The Ocean God looked at Atlas, who had remained silent.
His gaze swept back and forth between the two brothers, then said in a cold, serious tone: "Though your characters are somewhat rash and violent, you're not despicable, vile deities. Then you should know that when you lose, you must accept it!"
"Everything you now possess no longer belongs to you, but is granted by great His Majesty God-King Zeus! In principle, you should repay His Majesty the God-King!"
"His Majesty the God-King doesn't need your repayment, but publicly and privately, you should and must obey His Majesty the God-King's sacred order!"
Oceanus paused briefly, then continued: "If not for your mother goddesses and wives pleading bitterly before His Majesty the God-King, you would have entered Tartarus long ago!"
"Even if you don't think of yourselves, think of your mother goddesses, your wives and children!"
"Do you really want to implicate them in never seeing daylight again? Your children already have extremely precious opportunities and honors—do you want them to fall from heaven to the void abyss?!"
"Also, His Majesty the God-King promised the Mother of All Things that at the appropriate time, he would release Iapetus and the others."
"So you absolutely, absolutely must not do anything foolish again!"
"Do you all understand?!"
Pleione beside them also gently comforted her husband: "Atlas, my husband, please think of our children. They have the fortune to follow at His Majesty the God-King's side—what glorious grace this is. Don't let our children suffer innocent disasters again."
