Chapter 3
Trevor got out of the bus with slump shoulders. Jay was so busy making fun of him since he's always wearing a pair of glasses. Jay's friends laughed at him as if he's the ugliest kid in town. Good thing, Chelsea tried to lighten the atmosphere. She talked excitedly about her new pet Macho, a pug and hows her dad gonna take her to a safari next week. He gave the biggest smile he could afford to give. He still felt sad. He tried talking to Mark but he avoids him all the time. None of the kids bothered to ask for his name nor share tables during lunchtime. It was awful.
What's worse… they mocked him along the halls. Call him names. Block his way and toss his homeworks in the bin. Destroys his projects before he could submitt them to his teachers.
Everyday was terrible. He cried in the cr once,twice. Only thrice. Yep. He lied. He cried more than that. He even had to have lunch in the restroom. But everything changed when Chelsea came into the picture. Her bright smile. Her gentle and kind words. He couldn't believe that he's gonna have a partner in the arcade on weekends. They watched the stars together with their parents supervision. They swam together in the beach and made Sandcastles. Everything seemed brighter and happier with this angel.
But now, Chelsea got absent since she had to send her daddy to the airport for his flight to Singapore .
His head was down while he was walking towards the door. His gloomy world brightened up when he saw two familiar barbie shoes in front of him. He looked up and smiled.
"Hi trey!" Chelsea gave the sweetest smile he has ever known. He can't help but bite his lips while trying to contain his happiness. Finally, " the princess is here ".
It felt like music was playing in the background and he's the only one who could hear it...when (forwarded tape sound effect)
"How dare you leave me love notes!!! What if the entire class reads it first. Such a pathetic loser! " Chelsea stomped and left after taping a paper with the word loser in it on his forehead…..
