Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 - Whose Luck is the Worst?

"Ahem. Now that the question regarding the Class Monitor has been resolved, Bronya will continue the analysis."

Bronya cleared her throat and continued.

"Finally, we have the third vision, which was from the very first question we answered upon entering this space."

"In that vision, we can clearly see that Kiana did indeed overcome the Herrscher consciousness. As a human, she controlled a Herrscher's power and saved an entire city."

"Otto's plan, in the end, succeeded. He used Kiana's feelings for Teacher Himeko to defeat the Herrscher consciousness."

"Bronya believes this should be the second stage of Otto's plan. As for his ultimate goal, that remains unknown for now."

After listening to Bronya's detailed and clear narration of the entire future timeline, everyone felt a sense of sudden enlightenment.

"Grandfather must have some ulterior motive. If his goal was simply to fight the Honkai, wouldn't Mei, a more stable Herrscher, be easier to control? Why does it have to be Kiana?" Theresa said with a frown.

She was puzzled. If Otto was after a Herrscher's power, why would he let Raiden Mei go?

Could it be that Otto had a plan for Raiden Mei as well, one that the Q&A space simply hadn't exposed yet?

"Perhaps... the only power he wants is that of the Second Herrscher, the Herrscher of the Void," Fu Hua suggested.

Although her memories were fragmented, she could vaguely sense that Otto placed extreme importance on the power of the Herrscher of the Void.

"Fortunately, all of that is still in the future. It hasn't happened yet, which means we still have time to prepare," Himeko said.

"That's right," Theresa nodded. "Although we now know part of Grandfather's plan, St. Freya Academy is still far too weak compared to Schicksal HQ. If Grandfather decides to make a move, we may not have the strength to resist."

"St. Freya needs time to grow, but time is what we lack the most. We have no idea when that future will arrive. It could be in a few months, or it could be in a few days."

"Therefore, there is currently only one way to change the future."

Theresa looked at Kiana, her expression serious.

"Kiana, you must overcome the Herrscher consciousness within you. You must use your own will to control the Herrscher's power, just as your future self did in Arc City."

"I know it will be difficult, but Kiana, you must understand that this is your trial. You will have to face her one day."

"I... I will do it."

Kiana clenched her fists and looked directly into Theresa's eyes, her voice heavy with resolve.

Although the current her hadn't experienced the same desperate situation as the Kiana of the future, her desire to protect the people around her was absolutely genuine!

It was precisely because of the loneliness she had once endured, and because she had witnessed the despair and sorrow of the future, that Kiana's conviction had grown even stronger.

She wanted to protect everything she had now.

Theresa, Mei, Bronya, Teacher Himeko, the Class Monitor, and all the students and teachers at St. Freya...

The beauty and warmth they brought her had always been a companion in her heart, and she would never allow anyone to dare destroy it!

"Kiana, you can do it. I will always be with you," Raiden Mei said, gently taking her hand.

"Thank you, Mei." Kiana broke into a wide grin.

"As long as you're here, Mei, I feel like I have the strength of a hundred people!"

"By the way, Principal, I believe this reward can also be used for St. Freya Academy," Fu Hua said, as if suddenly remembering something. She took the Six Styles Training Manual from her pocket.

"The abilities recorded in this manual are extremely useful. If all the Valkyries at St. Freya could learn them, their strength would increase significantly."

"Really? Let me see!"

Theresa's eyes lit up, and she took the manual from Fu Hua's hand as if it were a priceless treasure.

"Hmm... this is indeed quite good. Although they are simple skills, they are all very practical and easy to learn," Theresa nodded in praise after flipping through a few pages.

Although Valkyries had their own specialized training courses, those courses certainly didn't teach skills like 'Moon Step' or 'Storm Leg.'

In short, while the manual's potential might not be exceptionally high, it guaranteed a solid foundation, which was perfect for boosting the overall strength of St. Freya Academy.

"Wait, if I have all the Valkyries at St. Freya learn this, Grandfather will definitely find out. What should I do?" Theresa's happiness was short-lived as her face clouded with worry again.

"It's fine, Principal. If Otto asks, just tell him I taught them," Fu Hua said nonchalantly.

As the Immortal Celestial and a grandmaster of martial arts, it was perfectly normal for her to teach a few skills, right?

"That's a relief. Now I can rest easy," Theresa said, her smile returning.

Theresa's comment, however, made Fu Hua wonder what would happen if she taught Kiana and the others the Sword of Taixuan.

But then again, the Sword of Taixuan was not so easily learned. They were already too old to start, and besides, she no longer had the Key of Domination...

Forget it, she thought. But perhaps I'll give it a try when the opportunity arises.

[Question 8: Among the following individuals, who has the worst luck?]

[A: Fu Hua]

[B: Raven]

[C: Welt Yang]

[D: Bronya]

The system's voice echoed in their ears. Hearing the question, everyone's expression turned a little strange.

Who... has the worst luck?

How were they supposed to know that?

And could something as ethereal as luck even be the subject of a question?

"This question... is a bit interesting. It's asking who has the worst luck," Himeko said with a smile, resting her chin on her hand.

"The Class Monitor's and Bronya's names are on the list. Who are the other two?" Raiden Mei asked, puzzled.

"Raven? Welt Yang?" Theresa thought for a moment. "I've never heard the name Raven, but Welt Yang... if I'm not mistaken, that should be the name of the Sovereign of Anti-Entropy."

"Hmph... Why is Bronya on the list?" Bronya puffed out her cheeks, looking a little displeased. "Bronya's luck is clearly very good. I often get good equipment drops when I play games."

"Class Monitor, is your luck bad?" Kiana looked at Fu Hua curiously.

As someone blessed by luck, Kiana had never understood what it meant to have bad luck.

"...It's alright, I suppose." Fu Hua's expression was a little stiff. She pushed up her glasses and said,

"I've always believed that luck is meaningless. Good luck or bad luck is nothing more than an excuse people make for their own failures."
