Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 - Fu Hua's Past

"Ah!"

Kiana only had time to let out a shriek before she was slammed to the ground. A large welt was already forming on her cheek as she was knocked out cold.

Ah Da and the chuuni girl, standing nearby, jumped in fright. They immediately hugged each other and began to tremble.

"Ah... hahaha, Kiana, what are you doing here? There was a mosquito on your face, I was just helping you swat it," Theresa said, her face beet red as she laughed dryly.

"Principal, Bronya seems to have left her game console here... Eh? You're the magi—"

The door was pushed open once again. Before Bronya could finish her sentence, a ball of fire erupted on her, instantly turning her into a charcoal briquette.

"Ahahaha... Bronya, there was a loose thread on your clothes. I helped you burn it off."

"Lady Theresa, the tea party is about to begin, we..."

BAM!

"Principal, I made some dumplings, would you like to..."

BAM!

"Principal, did Kiana sneak over here again to steal food..."

BAM!

"My dear granddaughter, would you like to go with Grandpa to..."

BAM!

Perhaps by sheer coincidence, a whole crowd of people (?) came knocking on the door, only to be taken out by a berserk Theresa.

In no time at all, a tall pile of 'corpses' was stacked by the door.

Finally, from within the dark room, a single, haunting voice, like that of a soul-reaping phantom, echoed out.

"Teri Teri~~"

The vision ended there.

After watching the video, the group silently turned their gazes to Theresa.

So that's your game, Theresa. You look all innocent, but you'd actually be so ruthless to your own comrades.

And were any of those last few people knocking on the door even normal?

"Great Aunt, why did you hit me?" Kiana pouted, dissatisfied. "Even if I accidentally found out your secret, you didn't have to knock me out, did you?"

"I already told you, that wasn't me..." Theresa pressed a hand to her forehead, exasperated.

"Speaking of which, Theresa, you can actually transform into a magical girl? How about you give us a live performance?" Himeko said with a wicked grin.

"Himeko!" Theresa's mouth twitched as she glared at her.

"To be honest, I also feel that the Theresa in the video isn't quite like our Principal," Fu Hua said, stroking her chin. "And everyone who came to the door was one of us. Even if the Principal is strong, it's impossible for her to take us all down, right?"

Not to mention there was a Kevin in there. That was just absurd!

God only knew why a version of Kevin holding a noodle bowl had appeared. Fu Hua's eyes had nearly popped out of her head when she saw it.

"Then that's strange."

The group pondered for a long time but couldn't come up with an explanation. In the end, they could only let it go and set the matter of the vision aside for now. It was just a record of someone's embarrassing past, after all, with no important intelligence.

[Question Eleven: Who, not wanting the Immortal Celestial Fu Hua to be lonely throughout the long years, created armed dolls to accompany her?]

[A: Danzhu and Cangxuan]

[B: Ji Lin]

[C: Xiao Yun]

[D: Otto]

"This... Fu Hua, this seems to be a question about your past."

All eyes turned to Fu Hua.

Fu Hua's brow furrowed tightly. The moment the question registered in her ears, she felt as if a great sledgehammer had slammed into her chest.

For some reason, an overwhelming wave of grief washed over her.

She could clearly sense that the names in the answers should have been incredibly important to her, yet she couldn't recall a single one of their faces or voices...

"I..." Fu Hua opened her mouth, but in the end, she could only shake her head, unable to say a word.

"Class Monitor, what's wrong? Why do you look so sad?" Kiana asked with concern.

"I... don't know," Fu Hua said with difficulty. Just thinking of those names sent a sharp, stabbing pain through her heart. But the greatest tragedy was that she still couldn't remember anything.

"My... my body and memories suffered extreme trauma in an accident long ago. Even now, they haven't recovered. So, I've forgotten almost all of my past."

"Eh? Fu Hua, you were injured? Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Theresa puffed out her cheeks, looking at Fu Hua with dissatisfaction. "Are you still treating us like outsiders? How could you not mention something so important? If you had told me earlier, I could have helped treat you."

"It's no use, Principal." Fu Hua shook her head with a bitter smile. "My body cannot be healed by ordinary medical means. Even Otto could only temporarily slow the deterioration, making the rate at which my power drains a little slower."

"Class Monitor, are you feeling alright now?" Raiden Mei also looked at Fu Hua, her face full of worry.

"It's fine. I'm used to it." Fu Hua shook her head gently. She was already used to it.

All she wanted now, before this broken body of hers finally ceased to function, was to do what she set out to do—to leave behind a spark of hope for the future.

And after several days of observation, she had finally chosen Kiana to be that spark.

In the limited time she had left, she would teach Kiana everything she knew, including the Edge of Taixuan.

And her will, like a flame, would be passed down, endlessly.

"Class Monitor, you should drink this."

Just then, Bronya, who had been quiet for a while, suddenly walked over. She took a vial of pale green liquid from within Project Bunny and solemnly handed it to Fu Hua.

"This is?"

Fu Hua looked at the test tube in her hand in surprise, not knowing what it was.

"Bronya, isn't that the Physical Restoration Serum?" Theresa recognized it at a glance. It was the reward Bronya had received for answering a question correctly. She had originally wanted Bronya to use it for herself, but for some reason, she never did. She never expected her to give it to Fu Hua now.

"Mmm." Bronya nodded, then looked at Fu Hua. "Class Monitor, this is the Physical Restoration Serum the System awarded to Bronya. It's said that it can repair any and all damage to the human body. Bronya thinks... you probably need it very much, right?"

"But Bronya, if you give it to the Class Monitor, what about your legs..." Raiden Mei said anxiously.

"It's alright," Bronya shook her head. "According to the future visions, Bronya's legs will be repaired after I become the Herrscher of Reason."

"Bronya was originally going to save this serum in case someone was in danger in the future, to use it to save their life. But it seems now, the Class Monitor needs it more than any of us."

"Bronya... I can't..."

"Class Monitor, don't be so quick to refuse. Don't you want to recover your memories?" Bronya said seriously.

"This is a Physical Restoration Serum produced by the System. If its description says it can repair any damage the body has sustained, then shouldn't it be able to repair damage to the brain as well?"
