As Eva reached Mira "sis calm down" she said her voice laced with worries "I never knew you were this jealous "she said smirking
Mira's eyes snapped back to Eva's, her anger and hurt simmering just below the surface. "Jealous?" she repeated, her voice low and even. "You think I'm jealous? He's the one who's been lying to me, eva. He's the one who's been pretending to care about me while you're engaged to someone else."
Eva took a step closer to her, her eyes locked on hers. "Mira, I...I know i understand it hurts ," she said, her voice soft. "But I didn't know what to say anymore maybe he doesn't want to hurt you."
Mira laughed, a bitter sound. "He doesn't want to hurt me? But he is hurting me now, eva. He's hurting me more than I ever thought possible."
Eva's face twisted in frustration. "Mira, please listen to me. Atleast talk to him get your answers from him."
But Mira wasn't interested in listening. She held up a hand, palm facing her. "No, eva. I just want out I want us to leave now."
Eva's eyes widened . "Mira, its already getting dark it might be dangerous remember ."
But Mira just shook her head. "I don't care Eva I want to leave."she said as tears rolled down her face
As sge turned to leave Eva held her "Mira wait .. think this through before you make this decision".
But Mira shook her off. "Let me go, eva. I'm done If you want to stay then fine but am not got that"
Mira shook off Eva's s grip and walked out of the bedroom, leaving her standing there looking worried. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew she had to get out of there.
As she rode the elevator down to the lobby, Eva followed Mira felt a mix of emotions. She was angry, hurt, and betrayed. But most of all, she was sad. She had thought she meant something to Leo, but it seemed like she was just a convenience.
When the elevator doors opened, Mira stepped out into the cool night air. She took a deep breath, feeling a sense of freedom wash over her. She was finally free from Leo's lies and deceit.
Mira and Eva hailed a taxi and got in, giving the driver Eva's address. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew she couldn't stay in the penthouse anymore.
As the taxi drove away from the penthouse, Mira looked back at the building. She saw Leo standing in the window, watching her leave. For a moment, their eyes met, and Mira felt a pang of sadness. But then she looked away, knowing she had to move on.
The taxi drove through the city, taking Mira further and further away from Leo and his lies. She didn't know what the future held, but she knew she would be okay. She was strong, and she would get through this.
As the city lights blurred by, Mira closed her eyes and let the tears fall. She was done with Leo, and she was ready to start a new chapter in her life... especially when she has a sister by her side..
