Chapter 20 - ## **Chapter 10 – Words of the Heart

Night fell brilliant after hunt celebrations. Drums beat, fires crackled, laughter lifted heavy winter's shroud. Yet Tian sat apart, gazing at his faint flickering spirit within— fragile light hovering in palm.

Yuexin approached, carrying roasted meat. She sat close, her shoulder against his, and offered food. "You never praise yourself," she murmured.

Tian chuckled softly, tone rough. "What is there to praise? My frost merely slowed them."

"But that slowness saved lives, Tian." She looked into his eyes firmly. "You think small acts do not matter—but sometimes, even one slowed step changes destiny."

He froze. Those words echoed so deeply—they mirrored his very rebirth truth. One life might be weak, but each cycle, each seed, altered destiny.

Without realizing, his hand touched hers gently. "Yuexin… then… will you walk frost with me?"

Her cheeks warmed with blush. She lowered her eyes but whispered firmly, "Yes."

A bond unspoken became a vow that night beneath the northern lights.

The "useless child" had found one who believed in him completely.
