The two women chose to remain silent regarding Jeno's Versailles-esque comfort.
It was too much of a blow.
Jeno, however, didn't much care for their feelings. He put his arms around Peggy and Natasha and said earnestly, "Now, you're just one step away from debuting as Super Heroes."
The two women looked at Jeno curiously, wanting to know what that step was.
"That is to choose a resounding codename for yourselves."
Jeno chuckled, and the three walked out of the laboratory. Jeno gave them an example: "For instance, Steve, he also underwent the 'hope' Super Serum modification in our bureau yesterday, and I gave him a good title."
"Steve is now called Electrocution Kid. This name sounds down-to-earth and leaves a deep impression."
Natasha rolled her eyes, put her arm around Jeno's shoulder, and said, "Just like they call you Homelander, and some call you Superman, right?"
"Clever."
Jeno smiled and pinched his companion's small nose, which made Natasha glance at Peggy triumphantly.
Peggy pouted, ignoring Natasha's provocation. Instead, she lowered her head, pondering her codename.
But after much thought, Peggy, who had previously worked as a secretary, still couldn't come up with a good codename. She couldn't help but look up at Jeno, trying to get his suggestion.
"Jeno, can you help me choose a title?"
The longer Peggy spent with Jeno, the more she felt his power, as if he knew everything.
Jeno saw through his companion's thoughts and mischievously suggested, "What do you think of the title Captain America?"
Jeno remembered that Marvel once released a 'What If...?' animated series, and one episode was about Peggyreplacing Steve and injecting the Super Serum to become Captain America.
Even more ridiculous was Vision, whose body was possessed by Thanos and Ultron, being instantly killed and cut in half by a single laser.
Generally speaking, the Marvel power system can be roughly divided into:
1. Terrestrial level: These heroes generally have a place on a Planet, such as Captain America and Black Panther.
2. Cosmic level: The representative figure of these heroes is Captain Marvel in her regular state, capable of destroying a Planet.
3. Skyfather level: For example, the God King Odin in his regular state.
4. Single Universe level: Strong individuals capable of destroying a galaxy.
5. Multiverse level: These existences mostly involve cosmic conceptual beings, such as the conceptual god Eternity, who appeared in a Thor movie.
6. Omniverse level: Almost omnipotent, represented by powerful beings similar to the Living Tribunal.
7. Transcendent existence: Strong individuals beyond the Omniverse.
8. This can be understood as the supreme existence OAA, the embodiment of the Marvel writers.
Jeno estimated that his current level was roughly cosmic, and with the enhancement of his steel body, he could still destroy a Planet.
"Captain America?" Peggy heard this title and decisively shook her head, refusing: "No, that name sounds too righteous."
Peggy rolled her eyes at Jeno: "Besides, I'm British, so my codename should be Captain Britain."
As she spoke, as if there was a strange feeling in the dark, Peggy repeated the title "Captain Britain" several times in a low voice, her tone gradually firming.
"I've decided, my title will be Captain Britain!"
Seeing that Peggy had her own title, Natasha was also a little envious and quickly pestered Jeno: "Jeno, think of a title for me too!"
Jeno raised an eyebrow and tentatively asked, "How about Black Widow?"
"Black Widow? The title inherited by successive champions of the Red Room, fierce and deadly. This title is good."
Natasha obviously thought of this title representing the highest honor of the Red Room, and the woman was very satisfied with it.
The three walked towards the elevator, chatting and laughing.
"Jeno! I've been waiting for you for a long time."
Jeno looked up and saw Steve, dressed in a blue and white uniform, standing by the elevator. Upon seeing Jenoarrive, Steve couldn't help but smile.
Jeno gave a bright smile and patted Steve's shoulder: "What's wrong, our Electrocution Kid, what can I do for you?"
"It's like this, I came to see you this time to say goodbye," Steve rubbed his nose, a little embarrassed.
"Going to find Bucky, right?" Jeno smiled: "I understand, I understand."
Immediately, Jeno turned and walked into Dr. Zola's office, and soon came out with a brick-like mobile phone, which he handed to Steve.
"This is a communication device created by Dr. Zola using the energy of the Tesseract."
This thing was genuine black technology, powered by the Tesseract, capable of cross-border communication regardless of distance.
To facilitate Steve's contact with him, Jeno had long ago instructed Zola to create a phone, and Dora Zola did not disappoint Jeno's hope, quickly producing a pair of communication phones.
Steve held the 'big brick' phone and asked doubtfully, "You mean?"
Jeno smiled brightly: "Haha, when you find Bucky, remember to call me, and I'll help you."
Of course, that was nonsense. Jeno just wanted to go and kill Kang, who was causing trouble. Only a dead Nigger is a good Nigger.
If only he didn't have cotton fields, hmph~ hmph.
"So that's it." Steve looked grateful: "Jeno, thank you, you are a good man."
"Haha, Electrocution Kid, I believe you will definitely find Bucky. Keep up the good work, I look forward to your good news."
Jeno poured Steve a bowl of chicken soup for the soul, and Jeno felt that the gratitude Steve expressed was well-deserved.
To be honest, he had been really good to Steve. Not only did he get Steve a Vibranium shield, but he also enhanced Steve's strength, although there were also self-serving interests mixed in.
However, Jeno felt that the old saying was good: a gentleman judges by actions, not intentions. Steve is doing quite well now, at least better than lying cold in a glacier for seventy years. Maybe after he resolves Bucky's matter, he can even find another girlfriend and have a little Steve.
The four walked out of S.W.O.R.D., and after Jeno smiled and bid farewell to Steve, he led the two women on a tour of the first-floor office area.
The S.W.O.R.D. Agents coming and going were busy recording various situations.
After World War II ended, the U.S.'s focus gradually shifted towards the polar bear standing in Siberia.
An Agent handed over a document: "Officer, this is the latest intelligence."
Jeno quickly flipped through the document:
"A bank in Washington D.C. was robbed. Washingtonpolice have launched an investigation, but there are currently no leads."
"Old Du has recently been seen frequenting a certain golf course in Washington, secretly meeting his mistress."
"Admiral Jack secretly met with his subordinate William Stryker at 1 AM."
Pieces of U.S. high-level intelligence were recorded in the archives.
Regarding the first and second pieces of intelligence, Jenowas not surprised. This was a characteristic of Free America; one just gets used to it.
Jeno focused on the third piece of intelligence.
Looking at the third piece of intelligence, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
"Old Jack still hasn't given up, huh?"
Jeno sneered, wasn't it just crushing one of this guy's collarbones? Is it really worth holding such a grudge?
You're thinking too small, Old Jack.
Chapter 91: Unlucky Howard
Inside a motel.
A dim room.
From time to time, rays of light from outside the window pierced into the room, illuminating the dusty air within.
Several burly veterans stood at attention, all looking at the man in the middle.
With a tall and perfect physique, the man named Georgescanned the crowd.
"Congratulations on your recovery, my comrades!"
These men were all George's former comrades, forced to leave the battlefield due to severe injuries. Many of them fared poorly after retirement; several even became homeless after their wives and children remarried and they lost their homes.
But with George's help, having taken the Super HeroSerum, they all recovered their health.
And these soldiers swore to follow George's cause, to help more soldiers regain their health.
Feeling the gratitude in their eyes as they looked at him, George felt his heart filled with happiness.
"Our cause is only just beginning."
George clenched his fist: "There are many more comrades who need our help!"
The veterans exchanged glances:
"Boss, just tell us what to do, we'll follow you."
These soldiers were not well-educated; if George hadn't led them to inject the Super Serum, they might still be living hard lives.
In their eyes, George had saved them, and all they could offer was their loyalty and their lives for George.
George pinched his chin and said coldly: "General JenoWilson once said: I am not a hero; the soldiers fighting for the country are the true heroes."
"If we want to save our comrades, we need more Super Serum."
A veteran immediately suggested: "We can rob that warehouse."
The veteran's words resonated with others, who chimed in: "Exactly, those guys have serum that can heal people but are unwilling to use it on us, instead making us buy it at an exorbitant price!"
Everyone looked at the silent George, waiting for their leader to make a decision.
George slowly shook his head: "It's not time yet, everyone. That warehouse is guarded by at least 20 Super Heroes. If we want to make a move, we don't have enough people."
"What we need to do now is acquire more money."
The other veterans' eyes lit up, and they immediately asked: "Are we still robbing banks?"
These past few days, they had followed George and robbed several banks.
George still shook his head; he had his own plans. The man tapped the table: "No, this time we're not robbing banks. We're going to kidnap a rich man."
"Whoever is the richest person in Washington, we'll kidnap them."
Saying that, George picked up a newspaper and pointed to the man on the cover.
A soldier scratched his head:
"Uh, I remember this guy is Howard Stark, Washington's biggest arms dealer, I think. Rumor has it he's a friend of the god of human realm."
"Maybe we should pick another target. If we anger the god of human realm, he'll come in and crush us all."
"No, this is the fastest way to make money!" Georgeshook his head.
"And, as long as we monitor the Villa to prevent anyone from informing, we can completely avoid being discovered."
Everyone fell silent; that was indeed true.
"Alright, but where do we find that playboy?"
George smiled confidently: "I've long since figured out that playboy's movements."
"He goes to his Villa with female companions every night; we'll ambush him there."
Howard's Villa was located in the suburbs.
Soon, George and his group drove to Howard's Villa.
The car stopped far away, about a thousand meters from Howard's estate.
As night fell, the group, under the cover of darkness, began their operation.
"Let's go!"
A group of people silently scaled the two-meter-high iron fence, easily infiltrating Howard's estate.
As a rich man, Howard naturally knew he should hire bodyguards to protect his safety.
But even the strongest bodyguards only possessed the physical qualities of ordinary people, no match for the enhanced George and his team.
Soon, George led his men to deal with the estate guards, breaking into the second floor of the Villa. The group quickly found their target, Howard, sound asleep on a large bed.
"That's him, tie him up."
Poor Howard didn't even know what was happening before he was roughly picked up by several burly men.
"What's happening?!"
Howard suddenly woke up to see his bedside surrounded by muscular men wearing black masks. He instinctively wanted to cover his backside.
George's muffled laughter came from beneath his mask: "I'm pleased to inform you, Mr. Howard, that you've been kidnapped."
After he finished speaking, a burly man stepped forward and brought his hand down on Howard's neck. The man's eyes rolled back, and he fainted.
The group carried the unconscious Howard back the way they came.
It wasn't until Jarvis, the old butler responsible for grocery shopping, returned home to find Howard missing, with only a note left on the nightstand. It demanded that the old butler prepare the ransom and deliver it to a specific location to retrieve him, strictly forbidding him from calling the Police.
Faced with the news of Howard's kidnapping, Jarvisscanned the surroundings. The telephone lines were cut and destroyed, severing all contact with the outside world.
Seeing this, the old butler, with a composed expression, walked towards the Underground Room.
Calling the Police was absolutely out of the question in the current situation. There were certainly accomplices of the kidnappers monitoring every move of the Villa, and if the Police arrived, the kidnappers might kill Howard.
However, fortunately, when Jeno had come to see Howard, he had given Howard a phone made with Tesseract energy for easy communication, which connected directly to the S.W.O.R.D. Director's office.
The old butler dialed the number from memory.
After a few busy signals, Jeno's voice came through.
"What's wrong, Howard? Is the tracking device I asked for ready?"
The old butler said with a bitter smile: "General Jeno, I am Jarvis, Mr. Howard's butler."
The old man got straight to the point: "The Family Headwas kidnapped a short while ago and is nowhere to be found."
On the other end of the phone, Jeno was leaning against his bed, raising an eyebrow slightly: "Howard was kidnapped?"
Jeno sat up straight, pondering in his mind, who could possibly kidnap Howard?
Could Kang have secretly come to New York?
But if he really dared to come, Sorcerer Ancient Oneshould have told him.
"Jarvis, tell me exactly what happened."
Howard was a talented individual; Jeno was counting on him to create more technological suits for him in the future, so he couldn't be taken away.
Jarvis slowly explained:
"General Jeno, those people left a note demanding that I bring a sufficient ransom and place the money in a certain park."
Hearing Jarvis's reply, Jeno breathed a sigh of relief.
"So, they're just after money."
A cold sneer formed in his heart, and Jeno slowly stood up: "These robbers are truly bold, daring to kidnap someone under my protection."
Since Howard had just been kidnapped, it meant these robbers hadn't gone far. If he rushed over now, he might be able to intercept them.
Ch: 92
What happened?"
Peggy and Natasha looked at Jeno curiously.
"Howard was captured," Jeno replied casually, his gaze sweeping over the two women, and a thought suddenly came to him.
"Peggy, Natasha, put on your gear. I'm taking you on a mission."
Since he intended to train them, he might as well start now. A greenhouse would only produce fragile flowers.
"A mission?"
Peggy and Natasha were a little excited, after all, this was their first mission as Super Heroes.
Soon, the two changed into their uniforms and stood before Jeno.
Peggy's battle suit referenced ancient Roman war skirts, the Vibranium armor making the woman look heroic.
Natasha, on the other hand, wore a black, form-fitting bodysuit that accentuated her figure, with a Vibraniumbelt at her waist allowing her to carry more weapons and equipment.
"Let's go."
Jeno put his arms around the two, then pushed open the window and flew towards Howard's Villa.
Floating high above Howard's Villa, Jeno held the two women, his gaze sweeping over the land below.
A moment later.
Jeno grinned, "I found you."
Under his Super Vision, Jeno clearly saw a group of burly men hiding in an abandoned shack in Washington's Olympus Park. This location allowed them to observe the entire park and react accordingly.
The poor Howard, on the other hand, was tied tightly to a chair by the kidnappers, his mouth gagged, able only to stare at the surrounding kidnappers with a lifeless expression.
Jeno landed with the two women, the three of them standing in a secluded corner.
"Listen, the kidnappers are in the shack on the west side of Olympic Park. There are ten of them. Two are guarding Howard, and the others are on alert outside the shack."
Peggy nodded seriously, while Natasha looked a little eager to try.
Jeno patted the two women's butts and said with a smile:
"You two try to work together to rescue Howard."
The two women exchanged glances, then immediately turned their heads away.
Natasha pouted, "I don't need to work with her. I can rescue Howard by myself."
In her opinion, with her invisibility, it would be easy to sneak in and kill a few kidnappers.
Poor Natasha didn't know that Jeno hadn't told her these people were Super Soldiers, with much stronger physical attributes than ordinary people.
Peggy sneered, gripping her shield and Vibraniumlongsword, "I don't need to either."
Although the two could "cooperate" at times, more often than not, they were at loggerheads.
The two seemed to be treating this rescue mission as a competition to prove who was the strongest.
Jeno shrugged, patiently advising, "Are you sure? If you don't have the overwhelming strength to defeat your opponents, cooperation might be the best choice."
"Of course."
"I'm sure."
"Very good, full of spirit. I look forward to your performance." Jeno narrowed his eyes and smiled, saying nothing more, waiting for them to act.
Before they even left the alley, Peggy and Natasha had already separated.
Both of them had received intelligence from Jeno.
Peggy analyzed as she hurried towards the park:
"The shack on the west side of Washington Park. If I want to avoid being discovered, I'll have to attack from the rear."
Soon, Peggy circled around to the back of the western shack, looking up at the three-meter-high wall.
"Hmph."
The woman took a deep breath, bent her legs slightly, and leaped, easily clearing the wall and entering the park.
She held her breath, observing her surroundings.
She heard several voices coming from inside the abandoned shack, and faintly, a man's whimpering.
Natasha, on the other hand, had a much easier time. Entering an invisible state, Natasha bypassed the guards all the way, then gently pushed open the door and walked in.
Peggy was about to act when she saw the shack door slightly ajar.
The two burly men inside were slightly stunned. Before they could react, one of them felt a sharp pain in his abdomen, clutching it and letting out a scream.
Natasha's punch apparently didn't knock the man out; he yelled a warning:
"Something's nearby!"
"This idiot!" Peggy helplessly slapped her forehead. The surrounding kidnappers were also alarmed by the scream and rushed over.
People spotted Peggy and exclaimed:
"There! Someone's there!"
"Grab her!"
The stealth plan failed. Peggy let out a breath, drew her longsword, gripped her shield, and met the charging enemies.
At this moment, the entire shack was in chaos. The two burly men were fighting the invisible Natasha, but every punch seemed to hit nothing but air.
Outside the house,
Peggy swung her longsword, injuring several people, then kicked one person down.
Seeing that they were exposed, George, the kidnapper leader, didn't care about anything else and ordered, "Fire! Shoot these people!"
Immediately, someone turned their gun towards Howardinside the house and pulled the trigger.
Whizzing bullets poured out, a barrage of projectiles smashing into the house, scaring Howard, who widened his eyes.
"Whoosh!"
Just as Howard thought he was about to meet his dead father, a figure descended from the sky, smashing through the wooden house and blocking Howard like a mountain.
"Bang bang bang!"
Bullets struck the Vibranium battle suit, sparking, and spent bullet casings rolled onto the wooden floor.
The kidnappers looked at the towering figure in terror, exclaiming:
"H-Homelander!"
"Superman, Superman is here!"
At this moment, the kidnappers' hearts had sunk to the bottom of the lake. They were doomed.
Ignoring the small fries,
Jeno stood expressionless with his arms crossed, tilting his head slightly to look at the invisible Natasha in the corner: "Is this your plan?"
"If I hadn't arrived early, Howard would already be dead."
Natasha was a little embarrassed, lowering her head in shame.
"I'm very disappointed in you."
Sighing, Jeno's gaze fell on the two burly men again, and he extended a finger: "I'll give you one chance. Tell me why you kidnapped Howard."
The two exchanged glances, and only silence answered Jeno.
"Don't want to talk? Then don't."
Jeno smiled and shook his head, expressing his disappointment at their lack of cooperation.
The next second, Jeno instantly appeared in front of the two, grabbed one man's neck with his large hand, and twisted his wrist with a gentle snap.
"Crack."
The sturdy neck was instantly broken, the man's neck twisted like a braided rope, and he fell to the ground dead, his eyes wide open.
"Bang!"
Jeno then reached out and plunged his hand into another man's chest, crushing his opponent's heart.
"Ugh!"
Another man fell to the floor with wide eyes. In just a second, the two Super Soldiers in the room died at Jeno's hands.
Jeno walked back to Howard and ripped off the cloth gagging the man.
"Ptooey ptooey."
Howard gagged a few times, then looked at Jeno with some resentment.
"Why are you so slow? I almost died."
"Go help Peggy." Jeno said to Natasha, pointing out the window: "Remember to leave one alive."
Natasha silently walked out of the house, becoming invisible again, and went to kill the enemies.
With Natasha helping to relieve the pressure, the battle quickly ended, leaving only one man whose legs Peggyhad broken with her shield.
The two brought the man, whose face was covered in blood, into the house.
Jeno stared at the blood-soaked man, asking indifferently:
"Tell me, why did you kidnap Howard?"
The man looked at the corpses on the ground, his morale low: "Of course, for money."
Howard grumbled as he stood up, complaining: "Damn it, if you wanted money, you should have told me! Why did you tie me up in a place like this and gag me with a stinky towel?!"
Jeno glanced at Howard, motioning for the man to shut up, then asked: "What do you need the money for?"
Perhaps because all his comrades were dead, the man was disheartened and confessed: "To buy Super Serumso that our disabled comrades can recover and become normal people."
Saying this, George's eyes turned red as he roared: "Those bastards at The Pentagon are not human! They'd rather throw the Super Serum in a warehouse than give it to injured soldiers! Instead, they sell it for a fee!"
Listening to the man's hysterical complaints, Jeno raised an eyebrow.
Hmm, private sales of Super Serum, that's something the U.S. military would do.
Chapter 93: Accepting the Devil's Deal
Park Cabin.
"You guys were discharged in such a miserable state?"
Howard rubbed his bruised wrist, a bit surprised.
He truly hadn't expected those guys at The Pentagon to be so heartless.
General Jeno, however, wasn't surprised: "You'll get used to it."
General Jeno turned to look at Howard: "How do you plan to deal with this kidnapper? Should I kill him for you?"
As he spoke, General Jeno's eyes glowed red, as if he would melt George's head with Heat Vision in the next second.
"No, don't kill him." Howard showed a look of pity, shaking his head: "Find a place to lock him up."
"He's a good man, willing to go through life and death for his comrades."
"Perhaps I should establish a disabled veterans' foundation to help those poor people."
George, kneeling on the ground, suddenly looked up.
"Are you really willing to do that?"
"Of course, I have plenty of money."
George was overjoyed and quickly thanked him: "Thank you, you are a good man."
Being able to trade his own life for a hope for his comrades, George felt it was worth it.
Howard frowned and shook his head, replying with an arrogant tone: "Heh heh, I'm an arms dealer, not a good man."
Howard's reaction was within General Jeno's expectations; men of the Stark family were mostly like this, saying one thing but meaning another, always arrogant.
Perhaps seeing the miserable state of these Super Heroes, even after being kidnapped, Howard still intended to show some kindness and help them.
"Since that's the case, I'll take him with me."
General Jeno lifted George, then looked at Peggy and Natasha: "I'm very disappointed in you two. Walk back yourselves."
The two treated the rescue mission as a game, so they naturally deserved punishment. First, he would make them walk back, and then he would put them through military training.
With that, General Jeno lifted George and flew into the sky, leaving.
Thousands of meters in the air, the cold wind blew on George's body, causing even the Super Hero's physique to tremble uncontrollably.
As General Jeno flew towards S.W.O.R.D., his gaze swept over the man, and after a moment of thought, he asked: "I'm giving you an opportunity to become stronger. Are you willing?"
Being held by the collar by General Jeno, with the wind whistling past his ears, George even thought he had misheard, somewhat puzzled: "Wh-what?"
"Make me stronger, but why?"
Although he didn't understand General Jeno, after their brief interaction, George didn't think General Jeno was a kind person; he killed people without even batting an eye.
However, since his group had made the first mistake, George didn't harbor much resentment towards General Jeno for killing his comrades. Instead, he felt more hatred towards those bastards at The Pentagon.
If The Pentagon hadn't abandoned them, these comrades wouldn't have died.
Without answering George's question,
General Jeno brought the man to the entrance of S.W.O.R.D., dragging the limping George towards the underground Base.
His actions were actually very simple; he had previously planned to secretly support a group of super-powered criminals to cause unrest in Washington, which would better facilitate the advancement of his "Super HeroLegalization" bill.
General Jeno thought George was quite suitable.
Filled with hatred for the U.S. military, such a guy was more suitable to become a useful pawn.
He brought George to the experimental Base.
"Is that... an experimental pod?" George recognized the experimental pod in the laboratory. He remembered the U.S. military also had such a device.
"Alright, let's have a good talk." General Jeno released George, letting the man lean against the cold wall, staring down at George:
"I'm giving you an opportunity to become stronger."
George smiled bitterly and shook his head: "So, what do you want me to do for you?"
He wasn't a child, and he knew there was no free lunch in the World, especially for someone like General Jeno. If he didn't have any use, he might have died in the park cabin long ago.
General Jeno grinned, hands behind his back:
"I can make you stronger. In exchange, you need to do some things for me."
General Jeno stood up and looked into the distance:
"Make this city chaotic."
This was General Jeno's plan: if there were no conditions, he would create them.
Once those enhanced super-humans caused trouble in the city, even threatening the safety of politicians, he would then naturally push his Super Hero plan. He believed those people wouldn't refuse.
Hearing General Jeno's conditions, George couldn't help but frown: "You mean, do your dirty work? I don't do unethical things."
General Jeno, however, stared at George with an amused look: "Does a bank robber care about ethics? When those banks went bankrupt, how many depositors lost their savings and became homeless?"
General Jeno's words made the man's face flush, but before he could react, a large hand firmly gripped his neck.
"Also, you're not in a position to bargain with me." General Jeno sneered, grasping the man's neck and lifting him into the air: "You're not dead yet simply because you still have value to me."
"I hope you recognize your place, George."
"Hoo hoo." His neck felt as if it were squeezed by an iron hand. George struggled to breathe; even with his superhuman physique, he couldn't endure the pain of suffocation.
General Jeno watched indifferently as the man's face gradually turned pale, then he gently released George, saying expressionlessly:
"Now, tell me your answer."
George, slumped in the corner with wide eyes, gasped for air like a drowning traveler, his eyes fixed on General Jenoin terror, filled with an involuntary fear.
At this moment, he finally recognized General Jeno's brutal nature beneath the calm exterior portrayed in the newspapers.
Although he desperately wanted to shout out the words 'I refuse,' the words felt like a thousand pounds in his mouth, unable to be spoken.
The desire to live ultimately made George submit, lowering his head and asking weakly: "I am willing to accept your arrangements, General Jeno."
General Jeno smiled slightly: "Very good, that's a wise choice, George."
The man snapped his fingers lightly, and Dr. Zola behind him brought over the hope serum.
General Jeno pointed to George:
"Dr. Zola, inject him with the hope serum."
Soon, the limping George was carried into the experimental pod.
With the serum injected, a few minutes later, a recovered George stared in surprise at his healed legs.
General Jeno stood with his arms crossed, his tone flat: "What Super Power did you gain?"
George was a little surprised. So, the serum General Jenoinjected him with could activate Super Powers?
No wonder he felt as if something had been added to his body.
George clenched his fists and took a deep breath:
"I'll try."
The next second, George's figure suddenly vanished, reappearing outside the laboratory.
"Teleportation ability? A good characteristic." General Jeno raised an eyebrow, staring at George outside the room, and commented: "Very suitable for stealing things."
"Whoosh."
George controlled his teleportation ability again and returned to the laboratory.
At this moment, George's voice was excited like a child's: "I can teleport!"
He activated his ability again, instantly appearing outside the laboratory, but the next second, an arm gently rested on George's shoulder, making the man's eyes widen in terror.
He could appear a hundred meters away in just one second, but even so, General Jeno easily held his shoulder.
General Jeno smiled:
"George, I know you can teleport now. Take this experimental pod, and go develop more Super Heroes, alright?"
Looking at the smiling General Jeno, but with an indescribably chilling tone in his voice, George couldn't help but shiver. He knew this was General Jeno's warning to him: don't think that gaining teleportation ability would allow him to escape General Jeno; the other party had the power to crush him.
Chapter 94: The Mutants' Probe
George left, disappearing into S.W.O.R.D. with General Jeno's expectations.
Soon after, Peggy and Natasha also returned to the underground Base.
"Do you know? I'm very disappointed with your performance." General Jeno stood with his hands behind his back, gazing into the distance. The two women looked at General Jeno's back, and Natasha, with a look of shame, spoke first: "It's my fault; my pride led to the mission's failure."
"I am willing to accept punishment."
Listening to Natasha's apology, Peggy gritted her teeth, also stepped forward, and said coldly: "I also share the blame for this matter."
The two chose to take responsibility together, which pleased General Jeno; at least their attitude was very good.
General Jeno, with his back to them, sighed softly: "You two are not yet proficient in using your abilities."
"Perhaps I should take some time to train you."
General Jeno pondered for a moment, then turned around and revealed his plan: "Starting today, you will no longer be responsible for S.W.O.R.D. affairs. Your daily time will be spent training to master your superpowers."
Since he wanted the two of them to become stronger, he needed to give them a powerful sparring opponent, but currently, S.W.O.R.D. had no one who could defeat Peggyand Natasha.
So, General Jeno could only humble himself and act as their sparring partner.
"At the same time, I will also supervise your training." General Jeno looked at the two: "Do you think you can persevere?"
The two exchanged glances, and Peggy pursed her lips and said: "But someone still needs to take over my work. Perhaps you should recruit another secretary."
S.W.O.R.D.'s work was very busy, and General Jeno was generally too lazy to manage trivial matters, usually leaving them to Peggy. Since she was to train, the woman naturally wouldn't have time to handle so many documents.
General Jeno nodded; Peggy was indeed right.
"Then, issue a recruitment notice and bring in another female secretary."
He had the ability to hear malicious thoughts, so he wasn't worried about enemies infiltrating.
Thus, over the next few days, General Jeno began intense training with the two women.
With a strong sparring partner, their control over their powers and their coordination improved by leaps and bounds, from initially lasting one minute to now lasting two minutes.
"Bang!"
General Jeno slammed Peggy to the floor with a back suplex, then kicked Natasha over.
"Alright, that's enough training for today. You both did very well."
General Jeno pulled off the electric wires from his body.
The two women had been horribly abused by General Jeno during this period.
To prevent the two women from embarrassing him on the battlefield in the future, General Jeno took the training seriously.
Calling it punching and kicking was an understatement; sometimes Peggy, who was positioned as a "meat shield," had bruises all over her face.
Therefore, the two women now bore a deep grudge against General Jeno, often sneaking into the laboratory to steal some strange and powerful items.
For example, invisible landmines made from the Tesseract, and electric energy guns made from the Tesseract.
It can only be said that they tried their best to defeat General Jeno.
"Failed again."
Peggy gasped for breath, clearly exhausted.
An Agent's report came from outside:
"Officer, the interview meeting is about to begin."
"Today's special training ends here. You two rest well." General Jeno smiled, waved goodbye, and ignored the two women's resentful gazes as he left the training room.
Arriving at the eighth-floor office, the corridor was now filled with a line of tall, beautiful women, each wearing expensive dresses. If General Jeno hadn't known this was S.W.O.R.D., he might have thought he had walked into a model's backstage.
"General Jeno!"
"Oh my god, I'm your fan!"
Upon seeing General Jeno, the women's faces lit up with surprise, their voices excited, as if they saw a lifetime of wealth and glory right before their eyes.
However, their thoughts weren't entirely wrong; if they could hook up with General Jeno, they would save fifty years of detours. S.W.O.R.D.'s benefits were excellent, and the salary was considerable.
But General Jeno chose to ignore the overtures of these common women; he was hiring a secretary to share the workload.
The interviews quickly began, and General Jeno tried a few, but none satisfied him.
"Next."
After drawing an X on the interviewer list, General Jenoleaned back lazily in his chair.
"Name."
"Susan Burns."
General Jeno looked up and glanced at the girl.
Blonde, wavy hair, she was currently smiling, maintaining a dignified demeanor, and looking at General Jeno.
"I should hire her."
This thought flashed through his mind, and General Jenoslowly checked the box on the woman's form.
"Something's not right."
Malicious thoughts warning,
General Jeno looked up at the woman again.
Still the perfect posture, the polite smile.
But General Jeno keenly noticed a hint of playfulness in the woman's eyes.
"Get out of my head!"
General Jeno suddenly stood up, and without another word, his eyes glowed red, and a scorching Heat Visioninstantly shot towards the woman.
The woman across the table reacted just as quickly; in an instant, her skin transformed into dazzling diamond skin, sparkling under the sunlight.
The Heat Vision, carrying terrifying high temperatures, struck the woman, causing her to let out a horrified scream: "Red Devil, get me out of here!"
As the woman screamed, a figure resembling a devil quietly appeared, grabbed the woman's arm, and teleported away.
"Trying to run?"
General Jeno sneered, his eyes narrowing slightly.
The next second, the surrounding tall buildings became transparent, and General Jeno quickly scanned the area. Soon, he found the Mutant fleeing with the woman in the eastern direction.
This fellow had a demonic appearance and a long devil's tail. He was constantly using his ability to break through space and then reappear hundreds of meters from his previous location, carrying the woman.
General Jeno looked grimly in the direction the two were fleeing.
From the looks of it, this group seemed to be trying to escape to the dock to leave by boat.
General Jeno didn't focus on the Mutant who could teleport; instead, he fixed his gaze on the blonde woman protected by the man.
The thought that had suddenly appeared in his mind must have been the ability of a psychic.
General Jeno couldn't help but feel a little scared. To be honest, psychic abilities were truly abnormal; they could silently change a person's thoughts and even make that person believe the thoughts originated from their own mind.
It was like inserting a Trojan horse program into a computer out of nowhere, turning that computer into one's puppet.
General Jeno looked up at the ceiling and recalled carefully.
The Mutants with mind control abilities during World War II, one was sleeping in a Pyramid, and the other was still a small child.
Excluding these two options, General Jeno quickly deduced the woman's identity.
"Mutant – White Queen."
The existence of Mutants can be traced back to Apocalypse in ancient Egypt.
However, in the modern era after that, a man named Sebastian Shaw took over a Hellfire Club organized by a group of wealthy individuals, acquiring a large amount of wealth.
He then used this wealth to conduct research on Mutants and also attracted a group of Mutants to join the club under the guise of "compatriots" for his own use.
"Shaw, why did you court death by trying to control me?"
General Jeno sighed softly, then a murderous glint flashed in his eyes. He turned his head to look at the distant dock, where a square-faced man was signaling his companions to board a ship and escape.
Chapter 95: I Ask You to Die
A pier near Washington D.C.
White Queen Emma anxiously urged her companion Riptide, "Hurry up and start the boat! We must leave immediately, that guy has already found us."
Riptide silently started the speedboat and drove the small boat at high speed.
The speedboat cut through the waves, and Red Devil, who was on the boat, spoke first, "What exactly happened? How could he find you?"
The three of them were a small team, constantly controlled by Sebastian to complete various Clear missions.
In the past, Emma's power was omnipotent; often, just by getting close to the target person, the opponent would become Emma's puppet.
The blonde woman shook her head with a mournful face, "No, I don't know. That guy's psychic power is abnormally strong; I can't control him."
At first, the plan went smoothly. Approaching Jeno with a fake identity, the woman even fantasized about controlling Jeno to rule the World.
But as soon as the two met, Emma only used her psychic ability to probe, but Jeno instantly detected her.
She was truly terrified. She was just a hair's breadth away from being killed by Jeno's Heat Vision. At this moment, she was still immersed in the fear of Death and couldn't recover.
Suddenly, a deafening sonic boom echoed above the three of them. A figure quietly "stood" on the sea, clad in a Vibranium battle suit, with his cape fluttering in the wind behind him.
The silent Riptide immediately shrieked:
"Homelander!"
Emma looked at Jeno, who was standing on the sea blocking their way, and quickly urged, "Turn around! If the speedboat hits that guy, it will explode, and we'll all drown!"
Before coming, Emma had learned about Jeno's abilities and knew that the so-called speedboat was no different from a paper-mache boat in his eyes.
Riptide violently turned the steering wheel, swerving the boat's bow, narrowly avoiding a collision at the last second.
Watching the small boat, like a drunk driver, swerving erratically across the sea, Jeno was in no hurry to chase. With a playful expression, he flew a short distance behind the speedboat.
The reason he discovered Emma's ability was partly due to the pre-warning of malicious intent, and partly because Jeno knew who he was. He couldn't possibly trust the blonde woman and make her his secretary after only a simple understanding or even just a few words.
The three on the boat fled for their lives, the silent Riptidepushing the accelerator to the floor, but Jeno merely followed a short distance behind, instilling extreme fear in the trio.
Riptide gritted his teeth, knowing that continuing like this would only lead to their complete annihilation, with all of them being caught by Jeno.
So the man gritted his teeth, released the steering wheel, and instructed Red Devil behind him:
"Red Devil, take Emma and leave. I'll hold him off."
White Queen was a little surprised and quickly stopped him, "No, Riptide, don't go."
"Instead of all of us dying here, let me hold him off and buy you a chance to live."
Just as the two were having their intimate moment, Jenooverheard every word of their conversation. He instantly flew above the speedboat, interrupting the emotional pair: "Everyone, I apologize for interrupting your conversation."
The three looked up at Jeno.
They saw him smile lightly, a sunny smile, "Today, with me here, none of you will escape. You will all die in this vast sea."
"You guys, hurry and go!" Riptide gritted his teeth and pushed Emma away. He had originally intended to confess his feelings to the goddess he had secretly loved for years.
But unfortunately, the enemy had already caught up. Now, he could only fight to buy his goddess time to escape.
White Queen gritted her teeth and gave the man a deep look: "Goodbye, Riptide."
"Red Devil, let's go!"
The two started the speedboat, while the square-faced man named Riptide spread his arms.
Jeno watched with interest as Riptide activated his Mutant ability.
The man held a steel pipe in his hand.
Streams of air lifted him to stand on the sea. The man gripped the steel pipe and spun his body on the spot, kicking up swirling currents of air around him. Soon, these air currents condensed around the man, forming a violent tornado.
The huge and violent tornado churned up the sea, transforming into a rather spectacular Water tornado, which then fiercely blew towards Jeno.
"That's it, a tornado?"
Jeno did not dodge. The terrifying Water tornado hit him, but he only felt a slight itch.
The violent Water tornado couldn't even make Jenoretreat half a step.
Looking at Riptide, who was constantly spinning inside the Water tornado like a ballerina to maintain it, Jeno felt a bit of pity: "If only I had known you could spin so many times without getting dizzy, I wouldn't have killed you."
He could have locked this guy in an exhibition case and let him spin to his heart's content.
Watching this guy spin wildly without getting dizzy, Jenoeven admired him.
With such good physical conditioning, wouldn't it be better to debut as an idol? Why follow Shaw and be a villain?
"Forget it, stop spinning, you're making me dizzy." Jenocrossed his arms, his eyes narrowed, locking onto Riptide. The next second, two crimson beams pierced into the howling Water tornado, the high temperature evaporating the sea Water and raising plumes of White mist.
Riptide, caught in the wind and waves, felt a sharp pain in his chest before he could even react.
Two scorching beams pierced through his chest and struck the sea behind Riptide, gradually extinguishing.
The man's chest was torn open by the beams, leaving a bowl-sized wound. He stared wide-eyed as he fell into the sea, swallowed by the waves.
Without Riptide's support, the Water tornado on the sea quickly subsided.
Jeno looked up in the direction the speedboat had fled, a slight smile on his face as he pinpointed the two's location.
Gently picking up the steel pipe floating on the sea, Jeno's gaze locked onto the speedboat.
"Off you go!" Jeno grinned, throwing the steel pipe with force.
"Whoosh!"
The immense force propelled the steel pipe into a White blur, rapidly piercing towards the speedboat.
On the distant sea, the speedboat was roaring and speeding across the Waves.
At this moment, White Queen Emma wished she could stomp the accelerator through the floor to escape.
Although Red Devil possessed the ability of spatial movement, he couldn't cross the entire ocean. At this moment, the man, who looked strikingly similar to a demon, was staring in terror at the sea behind them.
"That Water tornado is gone, Emma, Riptide might be dead!"
Just as the two were talking, a White blur suddenly slammed into the cabin.
"Boom!"
The speedboat suddenly exploded, and Emmaimmediately choked on a mouthful of salty seawater.
But before she could struggle, a large hand firmly gripped the woman's neck, pulling her out of the sea.
Emma looked in horror at Jeno, who had suddenly appeared before her.
Their eyes met, and Jeno's eyes glowed red: "Do you have any last words?"
"Wait, don't kill me, I can work for you!"
Emma quickly demonstrated her value.
Poor Mutant Riptide, if he had seen his goddess in this state, he might not have fought Jeno to the Death.
"Oh? Work for me?" Jeno's gaze swept over Emma's chest.
The woman noticed Jeno's gaze and quickly cooperated by pulling down her collar, offering a seductive smile: "That's right, and you can do whatever you want."
"Heh heh, is that so." Jeno smiled faintly.
The next second, a searing beam of light pierced through the woman's eye sockets.
The woman immediately transformed her head into a sparkling diamond head, but as the Heat Vision continued to intensify, the solid diamond slowly melted. White Queen screamed and wailed until the Heat Vision melted the woman's eye sockets and tore through her brain, leaving only a pair of charred eye sockets bleeding outwards.
"Sorry, I don't need a bitch like you as my subordinate." Jeno chuckled and released the woman, watching her corpse fall into the sea.
Perhaps, the woman and Riptide might even meet at the bottom of the sea.
Chapter 96: An Enraged Shaw
"Damn it, damn it!"
On the sea, Red Devil's figure flickered continuously.
He had no idea how many times he had used his Mutantability, only feeling utterly exhausted. The frequent use of his Mutant ability severely overtaxed his physical strength.
At this moment, the devil-like Mutant's eyes were bloodshot, as if he might drop dead at any second.
Jeno's voice echoed from behind him again:
"Run faster, little devil."
Like a cat toying with a mouse, Jeno flew unhurriedly behind Red Devil.
"Ah!" The man roared in anger, instantly teleporting hundreds of meters away across the sea again.
This time, Red Devil was truly exhausted:
"Pant, pant."
"No, I can't run anymore."
Red Devil floated on the sea, closing his eyes in despair.
"Kill me."
Jeno descended from the sky, floating quietly in front of Red Devil. Hearing the man ask him to kill him, he couldn't help but grin: "Kill you?"
"No, no, no, I won't kill you."
"Your destiny is to enter the S.W.O.R.D. laboratory and dedicate yourself to science."
Red Devil was different from that good-for-nothing Riptide; his space-shifting ability was very practical and worth investing in for research.
Actually, if White Queen's psychic ability hadn't been a threat, Jeno wouldn't have killed her either.
However, getting a Red Devil Mutant as research material was still a gain.
Watching Jeno slowly approach him, Red Devil let out a terrified scream:
"Y-you, don't come any closer!"
He couldn't even tell who the real devil was anymore. The thought of being locked in a dark room and tortured made him wish he could die right now.
At the same time that Riptide met his end and White Queen was shot in the head,
Shaw, far away in the icy plains, also learned of his subordinates' Deaths from Kang.
"I installed life monitors on your subordinates," Kang said with a smirk, looking at the ashen-faced Shaw, not forgetting to provoke him: "As a result, Riptide and White Queen's life signals went out."
"Damn it!"
Shaw angrily slammed the table, his eyes filled with fury.
Jeno had actually killed two of his capable subordinates so decisively.
He had never suffered such a great loss before.
But soon, Shaw thought of the Mutant Red Devil and asked, "What about Red Devil? Where is he?"
"I don't know, but he was probably captured by Jeno."
Kang looked at the enraged Shaw and quickly added fuel to the Fire: "So, do you believe me now?"
"That god of human realm will be an obstacle on your path forward."
Shaw looked deeply at Kang. Although he knew this guy intended to use him, he himself was also planning to leverage Kang's power.
So, after a slight thought, Shaw asked, "Then, Mr. Kang, what method do you have to deal with that god of human realm?"
Since the other party proposed cooperation, he had to see Kang's capabilities.
"Heh heh, I have a powerful biological robot here."
Kang tapped on the panel on his wrist, and immediately, a tall biological weapon, fully armored with a single orange-red eye glowing on its head, quietly appeared in the room.
Its enormous size broke through the ceiling of the room, and simply standing there, it brought immense pressure upon Shaw.
Kang smiled confidently, crossing his arms: "Allow me to introduce you to the strongest robot from the 31st century, the Mutant bane, the Sentinel Robot."
"They can detect any form of Mutant and automatically devise targeted solutions."
Hearing Kang's introduction, Shaw felt a little uncomfortable, as he too was a Mutant.
However, their common enemy now was the god of human realm, so Shaw suppressed his dissatisfaction and instead asked, "What's your plan?"
Kang smiled confidently: "It's simple. We'll assassinate Old Du, set a trap to draw out Jeno, and then my Sentinel Robots will easily tear him apart."
Shaw frowned slightly, his suspicious nature leading him to many thoughts: "But if you have such powerful weapons, why are you only bringing them out now? If you had brought them out earlier, Red Skull wouldn't have died, would he?"
Shaw's words were like a critical hit to Kang's heart. He was silent for a moment, unable to admit that he had been careless, thinking Jeno was just an ordinary Mutant.
It wasn't until he witnessed Jeno's strength that Kang hurriedly returned to the 31st century and acquired the Sentinel Robots from the future Military.
"Never mind, let's not dwell on these things. Let's discuss how to set the trap," Shaw shook his head, no longer bothering with these details. He intended to listen to Kang's plan.
Moreover, he didn't plan to go himself. At the very least, he would prepare a decoy to go and test the waters. Let Kang lead the charge.
S.W.O.R.D.
Jeno had imprisoned Red Devil in the underground laboratory and handed him over to Dr. Erskine and his colleague for research.
Before leaving, Jeno didn't forget to warn Red Devil not to even think about escaping.
If the other party dared to escape, Jeno would still capture Red Devil and bring him back, even if he fled to the ends of the Earth.
Actually, Jeno was completely overthinking it. The current Red Devil had already been scared witless and had no thoughts of escaping at all.
Moreover, Erskine and his colleague's research on Mutants couldn't compare to Dr. Bolivar, the father of the Sentinel and an expert in Mutant research.
The two scientists weren't very interested in Red Devil, so apart from losing his freedom, Red Devil was doing quite well in his cell, with food and drink, and even able to read newspapers daily to pass the time.
After leaving the underground Base, Jeno received good news.
Just a few days ago,
George, who had awakened his teleportation ability through compound v, had already begun his operation.
He had targeted a greedy councilman, planning to make a breakthrough starting with him.
Jeno took today's newspaper and saw the news reported on the front page.
That greedy councilman had been brutally dismembered and died in his home.
And George and his group had even left their organization's name, "Tide," in the room.
The murder of a councilman naturally attracted the attention of the higher-ups, and the FBI was dispatched to follow up on the investigation.
While Jeno was deep in thought, he received a call from Howard.
"Jeno, good news."
"I've reverse-engineered Kang's technology, and now I can pinpoint that guy's location."
"Oh? That fast?" Jeno was a little surprised. Howard's efficiency when working seriously was terrifying.
Howard's triumphant laughter came from the other end of the phone:
"Of course, men of the Stark family either don't do something, or they do it to the best of their ability."
"If you have time, come and get it now."
"Also, use the front door! My Villa has been repaired four times already!"
Jeno smiled helplessly at Howard's complaint, after all, descending from the sky was convenient.
"Alright, I'll be right over. Prepare good wine to welcome me."
Jeno hung up the phone, walked to the rooftop outside his office, and then flew into the sky, heading to Howard's estate.
Jeno's speed was very fast. No sooner had Howard hung up the phone than the voice of the old butler, Jarvis, came from the Villa's lawn.
"General Jeno, welcome."
"The Family Head is waiting inside."
The old butler politely led Jeno into the Villa.
At this moment in the Villa, Howard was wearing a luxurious bathrobe, with thick dark circles under his eyes, clearly not having rested well, looking listless.
Chapter 97 Knocking on the Door
In the Villa living room.
"You're here."
"I'm here."
"You shouldn't have come."
"Alright, stop the nonsense, where is it?" Jeno interrupted Howard.
Howard shrugged, opened the door, and led Jeno to the Underground Room.
He pointed to the old washing machine-style device in the Underground Room: "This is a locator I built using the teleporter you gave me."
Howard proudly stroked his chin: "As long as this device is activated, Kang's location can be pinpointed."
"However, this thing also has a flaw; it can only scan the city where the device is located. If we want to locate the entire Earth, current technology can't do it."
"Tsk."
Jeno frowned slightly, but then thought it made sense. This wasn't the future, with satellites flying overhead and global monitoring.
Howard being able to build this was already quite impressive.
Jeno shrugged:
"Let's activate it and try it out. Maybe Kang is hiding in Washington?"
After all, the most dangerous place is the safest. Perhaps Kang was hiding in some corner of Washington, who knew.
Howard pressed a few buttons on the device, and soon, the old machine whirred, emitting a grating sound of colliding gears.
The radar on the device flashed continuously, followed by a piercing alarm.
Jeno and Howard exchanged glances, then rushed towards the device.
The two stared at the screen.
A flashing green dot on the dim display caught their attention.
"That guy really is here!" Howard looked as if he'd seen a ghost, staring suspiciously at Jeno. Had his mouth been blessed?
Jeno stroked his chin, looking at the device. He hadn't expected to be right; Kang was indeed in WashingtonD.C.
"We should capture him immediately," Jeno looked at Howard. "Where does it say he is?"
Howard glanced at the radar, combined it with the location in his mind, and said with a hint of fear: "Oh no! That guy is in the White House!"
"What?"
"He's in the White House? Could that guy be disguised as President Old Du?"
Jeno immediately stood up, his expression somewhat grim.
Just then, the Underground Room door opened.
The old butler Jarvis entered the Underground Room, standing on the stairs and calling down to the two:
"Family Head, General Jeno, you might want to see this."
"Our President has been kidnapped."
The two quickly followed Jarvis to the living room.
On the black and white television, the scene of the White House flickered. At this moment, President Old Du was tied to a chair in a humiliating posture, his mouth gagged with a white cloth, unable to speak.
The next second, a Shadow walked out from the left side of the White House. The middle-aged man wore a strange helmet, his hands behind his back, his eyes playfully staring at the camera.
"Jeno Wilson, or perhaps Superman, or Homelander."
"Whatever you're called, in short, your killing of my subordinate has made me very angry."
"It's our first meeting, I'm pleased to meet you."
"As a welcoming gift, I've buried tons of explosives throughout Washington. Just press this button, and the entire Washington will be blown sky high."
Saying this, Shadow shook the red remote control button in his hand, leaned down slightly, and stared at the camera, saying expressionlessly: "Now, let's play a game."
Shadow raised his right hand and shook his arm: "I'll give you one minute to come to the White House and rescue the President, otherwise, your Free America will lose a President."
With that, the man smiled slightly, the screen cut out, and the television screen showed static.
Jeno and Howard exchanged glances, both seeing trouble in each other's eyes.
Jeno frowned slightly.
"It seems Kang and Shadow are working together."
Howard quickly advised: "This looks like a trap. They must have a plan ready to deal with you."
Jeno nodded lightly. Howard was right; if the opponent dared to openly provoke him, then they must have made a precise and meticulous plan.
"The question before us now is, to go or not to go?"
Although he didn't care whether the President lived or died.
But Jeno cared more about Kang's whereabouts.
Jeno took off the Cloak of Levitation from his neck, his eyes flashing.
This was a good opportunity. Howard's device showed that Kang was in the White House. If he missed this chance, who knew when that cunning, rat-like fellow would appear next.
Slowly opening his eyes, Jeno made up his mind.
Kang's threat far outweighed that of the Mutant Shadow.
Kang the Conqueror must die, he said it, not even God could save that Nigger.
As for the explosives Shadow buried in the city's corners?
Jeno pondered for a moment, then used the Underground Room's phone to call Peggy.
"Peggy, you saw the television, right?"
Peggy, on the other end of the phone, looked up at the living room television and said calmly: "I saw it. What do you need us to do?"
"Shadow has buried a lot of explosives everywhere. Now I need you and Natasha to find these explosives, mobilize everyone in S.W.O.R.D. to find these explosives." Jeno's eyes gleamed with ambition: "This is a good opportunity, a stage to let all of America's citizens get to know you."
Jeno hung up the phone and handed it to Howard:
"Howard, I'm leaving. Keep an eye on Kang's whereabouts for me at all times."
Jeno's mind was made up. He ignored Howard, who wanted to say something, and soared into the sky, flying towards the White House.
On his way, Jeno saw that the ground was already in chaos.
The Army was constantly mobilizing troops and tanks towards the White House. The public was also gathered, frantically discussing the President's kidnapping case. Many people were curious about who had the power to kidnap the President, and whether Jeno would go.
Some people were also driving away, planning to leave Washington.
Outside the White House, the arriving National Guard had already surrounded it, making it impenetrable.
"Whoosh!"
Jeno suddenly landed. When the soldiers saw Jeno arrive, they immediately parted the road and looked at Jenorespectfully.
The prestige and various performances established during the war had made Jeno a symbol of Free America.
"General Jeno, you're here!"
Colonel Warren, the Commander of the guard, saluted Jeno.
"Tell me the situation, Colonel."
Jeno stood with his hands behind his back, his gaze fixed on the distance.
"It's like this, General Jeno, thirty minutes ago, according to the White House guards' description, a blue light landed on the lawn, followed by the appearance of three individuals."
"They were a Nigger, a middle-aged White man, and a demon with four arms."
"As soon as they appeared, the President's staff and guards took the President to hide in the Underground defensive facility, but it seems those iron doors didn't stop those three guys. Our President was captured."
Jeno nodded indifferently, his gaze falling on the White House.
Through the thick concrete walls, Jeno could clearly see the situation inside.
In the President's office, the poor Old Du was tied to a chair, his old face filled with terror.
The Nigger Kang was lazily leaning on the sofa.
The Mutant Shadow sat in the President's chair, propping his head, seemingly waiting for Jeno to appear.
"Officer, what should we do now?"
The Commander interrupted Jeno's thoughts, looking at Jeno with an adoring gaze.
Chapter 98: Electrocution Kid Steve VS Super Bucky
Outside the White House.
Behind thick iron bars, a group of people gazed in the direction of the White House.
The Colonel of the National Guard offered his suggestion: "Officer, perhaps we could try throwing gas bombs inside to force them out."
Jeno gave the proposing Colonel a strange look. Was this guy a relative of the future Black Hawk Down Commander?
Throwing gas bombs inside?
A future person, and a Mutant who can absorb energy and convert it into power—do these two look like people who could be forced out by gas bombs?
Jeno said calmly: "Your plan is truly brilliant, but what about our poor President?"
The Colonel's face stiffened, and he awkwardly and wisely shut his mouth.
Just as the two were contemplating, a soldier came to report.
"Officer! General Jeno, there's a guy calling himself 'Electrocution Kid' at the cordon requesting to come in."
Jeno raised an eyebrow, a look of surprise flashing across his face. He didn't expect Steve hadn't left?
Jeno ordered:
"Let him in."
Soon, Steve, dressed in a grey-blue uniform and holding a shield, was led by soldiers to Jeno.
Jeno stared at Steve with some surprise.
"Steve, I thought you had already left Washington."
Steve's face was serious: "I was planning to form a Super Hero team, and I've been busy recruiting members during this time."
One must not underestimate Steve's charisma.
With his U.S. Captain's butt and perfect physique, and his righteous demeanor, Steve could usually attract like-minded individuals to join his team.
"Then I saw the news at a bar, and I felt you guys might need my strength, so I rushed over."
"Excellent, Steve, you've come at just the right time." Jenosmiled slightly, having been about to find some unlucky soul to attract Kang's attention, and unexpectedly Stevedelivered himself to his doorstep.
Jeno put his arm around Steve's neck:
"Steve, Bucky is inside right now."
"What I need you to do is simple: find Bucky and fight him."
Steve nodded, he understood: "Just charge and fight, right?"
He was all too familiar with this fighting style, because it was Steve's fighting style: charge, fight, get injured, then charge again.
And with Bucky involved, Steve was even more full of fighting spirit: "Don't worry, Jeno, I will complete the mission!"
With that, Steve began to sprint, leaping over the iron bars, then running towards the White House.
Kang's automatic sensors, placed in the corners, activated. Two fully automatic machine guns aimed at Steve, and a hail of bullets poured in Steve's direction.
Steve was quick, rolling on the ground to hide behind a stone pillar, then throwing his shield.
The shield, at a tricky angle, destroyed the two machine guns and bounced back into Steve's hand.
"Whew."
Steve took a deep breath, then charged towards the White House again.
And as Steve charged, Kang and Shadow in the President's office also spotted Steve with the shield.
"Where did this guy come from?" Shadow's gaze shifted from Steve's U.S. Captain's butt, and he looked at Kang in confusion.
Kang's face was ashen, a look of seeing a ghost: "This guy is called Captain America, but in your Universe, he's called Electrocution Kid."
Looking at Steve's grey-blue uniform, Kang's mood at this moment was despairing; even the uniform had changed.
Shadow glared at Kang angrily:
"Quickly send out your Super Soldier to stop him! Our trap was set for Jeno, not this butt-boy!"
"Don't rush, my friend." Kang smiled slightly, then shouted to Bucky outside the door.
"Hail HYDRA!"
The stunned Bucky raised his hands above his head and shouted along: "Hail HYDRA."
Kang smiled faintly, pointed at Bucky, and said to Shadow: "This is an interesting story. Do you know the relationship between this modified warrior and that butt-boy?"
"What?"
"They were good friends since childhood, and now they are to stage a scene of mutual destruction?" Kang's dark face showed a cruel smile: "This truly excites me."
Kang sneered and gave the order.
"Kill the enemy with the shield!"
Bucky accepted the order and began to walk out of the White House, gradually accelerating, getting faster and faster, like a giant tank speeding along, the surrounding ground shaking under his footsteps.
"Boom!"
Bucky smashed through white stone bricks, charging fiercely at Steve with an unstoppable momentum.
Facing the oncoming strongman, Steve instinctively raised his shield.
Bucky's arm slammed onto the Vibranium shield, the immense force hitting the shield with a piercing roar.
Steve was also knocked back by this brute force, struggling to regain his balance. Steve once again saw his long-missed friend, Bucky.
"Bucky."
Steve held up his shield, his expression complex.
His familiar old friend's eyes were lifeless, only breathing heavily and staring at Steve, muttering about killing the intruder.
"Roar!"
Bucky roared, raising his arms, and the violent Universeenergy gathered in his fists, then transformed into pulsating electric arcs to strike his opponent.
Steve gritted his teeth, he spread his arms, and an orange light glowed on his chest.
The next moment, two beams of light, one blue and one orange, suddenly collided.
The explosion generated by the intertwined energy scorched the lawn in front of the White House.
Rising thick smoke permeated the air, and Steve, gripping his shield, charged towards Bucky.
"I'm sorry, Bucky, but today I must defeat you!"
Bucky extended his hands, wanting to grab Steve and crush him to death.
Steve dodged Bucky's pounce with a slide tackle, then leaped onto Bucky's neck, raising the Vibranium shield in his hand and striking Bucky's back of the head.
"Bang, bang!"
Like the sound of hammering, the giant Bucky struggled wildly, his four arms reaching for the back of his head, trying to pull off the 'bug' on his neck.
But Steve clung to Bucky like a plaster, refusing to let go; no matter what, all he saw was the back of Bucky's head.
Steve continuously hammered Bucky's head, and as the skin on his neck broke open, the hard steel underneath was revealed.
"What!?" Steve's eyes widened. His friend's bones had actually been replaced with alloy?
But before Steve could react, Bucky seized the opportunity, his four large hands gripping Steve, holding him in his grasp.
"Die!"
A bloodthirsty glint flashed in Bucky's eyes, his four arms continuously squeezing Steve's ribs, wanting to cruelly crush him to death.
Not only that, Bucky's four arms even covered with electric currents to electrocute Steve.
"Ah!"
Steve's body convulsed, and he was about to be crushed to death by his former comrade.
"Duang!"
The force in his hands suddenly loosened, Steve fell into the dirt, and Bucky's massive body collapsed, revealing the figure behind him.
Jeno floated in mid-air, his expression calm as he retracted his fist, shrugging at Steve:
"That head is quite hard."
Chapter 99: How Do I Not Know I'm a Mutant?
Looking at Bucky, who had fallen to the ground, Steve's face was bitter.
General Jeno had accomplished with one punch what he himself had tried and failed to do.
Steve walked towards Bucky, checked for a pulse, and, confirming Bucky was still alive, breathed a sigh of relief. He said gratefully, "Thank you, Jeno, you are a…"
"Don't bother with the 'good person' talk, something's coming this way." General Jeno interrupted Steve, gazing silently at the high sky above.
"Whoosh!"
Two massive humanoid figures plummeted from the sky, landing in a Super Hero kneeling pose, crashing heavily onto the White House lawn.
They were entirely covered in steel, their heads dominated by a single giant orange-red eye.
Now, these robots slowly stood up, their nearly six-meter height making them look incredibly imposing.
"Wh-what are these monsters?" Steve stared in horror at the giant robots.
General Jeno stood with his arms crossed, observing the four humanoid weapons before him with interest: "I didn't expect to see these future robots here."
As a seasoned Marvel fan, General Jeno had naturally seen these bio-machines in the Mutant series. These little things were the culprits who had once wiped out the Mutants, and they had a formidable title: Sentinel Robots.
Compared to the clunky, heavy first-generation Sentinel Robots, this 31st-century Sentinel Robot was a true Mutant butcher.
They could copy the abilities of Mutants by dissecting them, and they grew stronger the more Mutants they encountered.
At the same time, these Sentinel Robots could also share Mutant abilities with each other. When a typical Mutantencountered them, there was usually only one outcome: death.
After all, ordinary Mutants couldn't contend with Sentinel Robots that had replicated the abilities of an entire group of Mutants.
Steve frowned slightly. It seemed General Jeno knew the origin of these things.
General Jeno had no intention of explaining; Steve didn't need to know that much.
At this moment, countless strangely shaped blue and white drones flew from all directions around the White House. The drones emitted blue beams, constructing a holographic image of Kang in mid-air. This bald Niggerlooked at General Jeno with a smile.
"General Jeno, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Now, please enjoy the gift I've sent you, a great product from the 31st century, the bane of Mutants, the Sentinel Robot."
As he spoke, Kang casually swirled the wine glass in his hand, took a sip of red wine, and said leisurely, "I can't wait to see your blood splattering as I drink the wine of victory."
General Jeno stared at Kang without changing his expression, then smiled slightly: "Oh? Is that so?"
"I admit that Sentinel Robots are indeed very strong against Mutants."
"But."
General Jeno stretched his neck, preparing for the upcoming battle, and said, "You bald Nigger, have you ever considered one problem: my abilities are not granted by a Mutant gene?"
Kang's expression changed. General Jeno's words caught him completely off guard.
"Wait, what do you mean you're not a Mutant?"
"Exactly what it sounds like." General Jeno smiled slightly, and the next second, he suddenly charged at a Sentinel Robot.
Boom!
The ground beneath his feet exploded, leaving a huge crater. General Jeno sent the Sentinel Robot, hailed as a killing machine, flying with a single punch.
The moment General Jeno's fist connected with the Sentinel Robot, the chip inside the Sentinel Robot began to operate.
"Analyzing Mutant genes."
"Unable to analyze Mutant gene fragments. Contacted target does not possess Mutant genes."
"Buzz!"
Heat Vision swept across the Sentinel's waist, slicing the sturdy Sentinel Robot in half. The orange light on the giant machine's head extinguished, signifying the Sentinel Robot was scrapped and offline.
"This is impossible!" Kang stared in surprise at the severed Sentinel Robot, then turned his gaze back to General Jeno.
This guy really wasn't a Mutant. Then where did his abilities come from? This was completely unscientific.
Before Kang could figure it out,
General Jeno, like a God descending, grabbed a Sentinel Robot, and with a sudden burst of strength from his muscles, brutally ripped off the head of yet another Sentinel Robot.
The Sentinel Robots, which Kang had considered his trump card, were so easily destroyed by General Jeno.
"Now, it's time to settle our business."
General Jeno tossed aside the Sentinel Robot's head, pushed off with his legs, and charged towards the White House.
Smashing through concrete walls, General Jeno broke down the President's office door and found Kang and Shaw.
At this moment, Kang's face was blank with shock, while Shaw looked terrified.
"An android?" General Jeno used his X-ray vision to see the internal components. This machine must be Kang's disguise; his true self was probably hiding in some corner, observing in secret.
"However, since you're already in the White House, I'm not worried about not finding you." General Jeno sneered, pulled off the Cloak of Levitation from his back, and tossed it gently: "Cloak, go find Kang!"
The Cloak of Levitation humanly twitched its collar, as if stretching lazily, then abruptly pointed skyward, and transformed into a bolt of lightning, streaking towards the clouds.
General Jeno narrowed his eyes slightly, followed the Cloak of Levitation into the sky, creating a sonic boom as he flew higher.
The Cloak of Levitation continued to ascend, spreading its four corners, transforming into a huge red cloth that enveloped a cloud.
The next second, the entire space seemed to be segmented.
The cloud and the air completely froze. The Cloak of Levitation returned to its normal size and went back behind General Jeno.
The cloud flickered and warped, then returned to its original state: a giant aerospace ship.
It turned out that the cunning Kang had been using an invisible spaceship to hide in the sky, observing every move on the ground.
General Jeno's gaze sharpened, but he found that his X-ray vision couldn't penetrate the interior.
"Can't see through the internal structure?"
General Jeno pondered for a moment. Perhaps the spaceship's material contained zinc, which could block X-ray vision. No wonder Kang had been hiding in the sky without him noticing.
"But now."
General Jeno sneered, slowly floating towards the spaceship.
Inside the spaceship, the little blue man, Kang, watched in terror as General Jeno flew towards it.
"Damn it, damn it, how did he find out?" Kang's voice was filled with fear as he frantically accelerated the spaceship.
The spaceship instantly became a blur, flying into the distance.
But what terrified Kang was that the surrounding scenery seemed to twist and change. No matter how fast he made the spaceship go, he could never leave this space, as if he had fallen into a labyrinth.
At that moment, the spaceship window was gently tapped, a sound that was particularly loud in the silent space.
Kang fearfully looked up.
Having lost his proud technology and his ability to escape, this Nigger showed his vulnerability.
There was a Kang in every timeline, but each Kang was an independent individual. If he died, he died; there was no concept of reincarnation.
And now, Kang felt as if he could already hear the death knell ringing in his ears.
General Jeno floated gently in front of the spaceship window, his Vibranium battle suit shimmering silver in the sunlight.
He smiled, tapping the glass rhythmically with his finger, a bright smile on his face, as he stared at the trembling Kang:
"Kang, I'm coming in."
Chapter 100: The Death of Kang
When a person loses what he relies on and steps out of his comfort zone, he becomes lost and fearful.
When Kang discovered that his proud future technology was useless in this space, he became as terrified as everyone else.
The bald Nigger screamed like a mad dog:
"What did you do to me?"
"Bang!"
Jeno punched through the glass.
He slowly floated into the cockpit, looking down at Kang.
"A dead man doesn't need to know so much."
As he spoke, Jeno's eyes glowed red. Out of humanitarianism, he casually asked, "Any last words?"
"Wait, you can't kill me!"
To Jeno's surprise, Kang actually had something to say.
"Actually, I'm from the future, from the future of time and space."
Kang looked up at Jeno, eager to prove his worth.
"I can create powerful future tech weapons."
"And I also know the direction of the future."
Kang's dark face held a hint of flattery.
"You are a smart man. Keeping me alive is more beneficial than killing me."
Jeno just stared at Kang with a half-smile: "You're right, but I want to tell you a secret."
Jeno slowly leaned down: "Actually, I'm also from the future."
"What?" Kang tilted his head in confusion: "How is that possible?"
Jeno smiled indifferently:
"Haha, I'm lying to you."
"You'd better die."
With that, Jeno's pupils narrowed slightly, and Heat Vision shot from his eyes towards Kang.
The young Nigger's face changed dramatically. The Heat Vision, carrying terrifying heat, swept through the air between them. The air seemed to be ignited by the heatwave, becoming distorted and illusory.
"Buzz!"
The Heat Vision, capable of melting anything, struck Kang's body.
But the next second, the bald man's flashy purple trench coat seemed to sense a fatal threat, and a dense purple energy shield enveloped the bald man.
The continuous laser beam hit the purple shield, making a "sizzle" sound. As one attacked and the other defended, sparks constantly fell onto the spaceship's metal plating.
Seeing that his shield had blocked Jeno's attack, Kang's previously panicked mood shifted from fear to calm.
The bald Nigger let out a long breath and slowly straightened his back.
With his hands behind his back, he regained the arrogant posture of a man from the future, staring at Jeno. The bald man sneered, "Jeno Wilson, I admit your performance truly surprised me. I thought your powerful strength came from your Mutant genes."
"Although the Sentinels I prepared were defeated by you, I'm not without other preparations."
With that, Kang threw off his purple robe, revealing a futuristic purple battle suit. The faint purple energy engine on the bald man's chest emitted a soft glow, occasionally lighting up to transmit energy to the surrounding shield.
He pointed proudly at the energy reactor on his chest and said, "This thing cost me a fortune to get from StarkIndustries in the future. The energy contained within it is enough to support high-power consumption for 100 years."
The bald man showed a confident expression, staring intently at Jeno and saying, "So, if you don't want to be trapped here with me for 100 years, we might as well negotiate a deal and share this World!"
Kang said with fanaticism, "Think about it, conquering a World."
"This is a dream that no one has achieved for thousands of years since the dawn of humanity, and now, this opportunity is right before you."
Kang extended his index finger and, through the shield, pointed at Jeno, saying, "Your powerful might combined with my powerful technology is enough to conquer this World, or even the entire Universe."
Kang was about to say more, but Jeno interrupted him. He crossed his arms, and the sunlight passing through the glass hit his Vibranium armor, making him look silvery and shimmering. The young man's handsome eyes held a playful look as he stared at Kang: "What you said is indeed tempting, but I can achieve this without you."
"And a king does not share his authority with others!"
He imagined that if he really agreed to Kang's request, once they truly divided the World, they would only think about annexing each other's territory.
Because human desires are endless; once they have some, they want more.
Kang said somewhat exasperatedly, "Then you'll just have to waste away here with me. I have an energy supply system; I don't need to eat or drink at all."
Cold wind poured in through the broken window, making Jeno's cloak flutter.
He uncrossed his arms, clenched his fists again, slowly raised them, and said calmly, "I think you've misunderstood. Can a turtle shell really sustain you for 100 years?"
With that, Jeno suddenly punched. The terrifying punch tore through the air with a sharp bang. The extreme force landed on the purple shield, and even the entire spaceship groaned and trembled under this single punch.
Kang's originally calm face changed dramatically. He watched the constantly flickering purple reactor on his chest. With just one punch, most of the energy within his chest device had dissipated.
Jeno expressionlessly raised his fist again, saying with a playful tone, "To be honest, I should thank you, because nothing has ever allowed me to use my full strength."
"Since becoming stronger, I've had to be careful with everything I do, and your shield finally allows me to go all out!"
Jeno grinned and punched the shield again, as if hitting a punching bag.
"Boom!"
Another explosion, and Kang's face also became unpredictable with the flickering purple light on his chest.
He found that the color of the shield in front of him was gradually becoming illusory, as if it could break at any moment!
"How is this possible!" Kang's face was grim. This man in front of him had only used two punches, yet he had consumed half of the shield's energy.
Kang's mind was in a chaotic mess at this moment, his body trembling. The man thought to himself, "If this continues, I will die!"
"Boom!"
Jeno delivered another punch, like a merciless boxer, pounding the shield punch after punch.
"Wait! Jeno, let's talk!" Kang changed his tone again, anxiously saying, "Please give me a chance, I am willing to be your assistant, to help you rule the World. As long as you don't kill me, anything is negotiable!"
In Kang's view, Jeno was actually the same kind of person as him, both ambitious. However, their methods of achieving ambition were different. To survive, he was even willing to be Jeno's dog.
But Jeno remained unmoved by Kang's plea. With a faint, indifferent smile on his face, he raised his fist again.
"Boom!"
Another powerful blow, and the previously sturdy purple barrier began to flicker. It couldn't hold on much longer.
Seeing that Jeno completely ignored his request, Kang's expression gradually turned ferocious. He said viciously, "Jeno Wilson, you are a demon! You don't belong to this World. Why does Kamar-Taj allow a demon like you to exist!"
Jeno's expression remained unchanged. For a dying man, he couldn't be bothered with nonsense, only withdrawing his fist, raising it, and striking again!
"Boom!"
Another swift blow smashed into the energy shield. Around the fist, the barely supported shield began to crack, making a "crunching" sound.
This sound was like sharp blades piercing Kang's heart, making him look desperate.
"Bang!"
The shield completely shattered. Jeno retracted his fist, the smile on his face gone, like the God of Deathcollecting a soul, he stared indifferently at Kang:
"Are you done talking?"
"This time, you can die."
