Chapter 294 - Ch: 101-110

Chapter 101: The Sensible President

The next second, an iron arm, as if cast from steel, clamped down on the man's neck.

Kang struggled wildly, twisting his body like a drowning traveler. His throat was locked by the iron arm, and his thick, red lips gradually turned purplish-white from the lack of oxygen.

"Ugh, ugh!"

Kang's eyes rolled back, his white eyes fixed on Jeno. He tried to say something with great effort, but Jeno gave him no such chance.

"Time traveler?" Jeno chuckled, increasing the force in his hand. Looking at Kang's gradually distorting neck, Jenosaid expressionlessly, "I hope next time you find a better place."

"Don't,"

Jeno increased his strength, and Kang's throat bones shattered with a "crunching" sound. Large gushes of blood spurted from his mouth and nose, and his hands, which had been clutching Jeno's fingers, fell limply.

"Invade,"

The iron hand completely crushed Kang's neck. The man's neck was broken, and his head hung limply. In the last second before losing consciousness, Kang finally heard Jeno's unfinished words.

"My timeline."

Jeno lightly released the man's neck. Kang's corpse fell onto the cold metal plate of the spaceship in an extremely strange posture, like a used rag.

Jeno tossed Kang's body into the spaceship corridor like garbage, then turned his gaze to the spaceship itself.

It must be said, Kang was truly a good person. Before he died, he even gave him a spaceship built with future technology. With this, he could take it back for Zola and his team to research freely, which could advance S.W.O.R.D.'s technology by a hundred years.

Jeno said to Cloak, "Cloak, deactivate the Mirror Dimension."

Cloak shimmered slightly, and the next second, the surrounding scenery returned to normal.

Flowing white clouds and cold wind hit him, and Jenoreturned to real space.

The White House, a symbol of Free America, had already turned into a ruin below, emitting thick smoke.

"Now, there's still one guy left to deal with." A cold glint flashed in Jeno's eyes. He locked onto Shaw below, transforming into a lightning bolt and pouncing on the man, crashing through the White House dome like a cannonball.

"Bang!"

Without giving Shaw time to react, Jeno's fierce fist brutally pierced through Shaw's chest.

Watching the man fall into a pool of blood, the next second, Shaw's face twitched and contorted, quickly transforming into a middle-aged White man with a fleshy face.

"This isn't Shaw." Jeno narrowed his eyes slightly. The corpse in front of him looked more like a Mutant who had transformed into Shaw's appearance and came to the White House with Kang.

"It seems the leader of the Hellfire Club is far more cunning than imagined."

However, the purpose of this trip had been achieved; he had successfully killed Kang, eliminating the greatest threat.

"As for Shaw?"

A bloodthirsty glint flashed in Jeno's eyes: "I hope you run far away, and don't let me find you."

Regaining his senses,

Jeno stepped over the corpse and walked into the White House.

Old Du, tied to a chair, saw Jeno walk in, and the light of hope reignited in his terrified eyes.

"Mmm mmm mmm!"

The President struggled vigorously in the chair. It was clear he was very excited.

"Oh, President Old Du, don't get excited." Jeno smiled as he untied Old Du.

"Thank goodness, General Jeno, thankfully you came." Old Du, having survived the ordeal, clutched his chest, his face pale, looking utterly terrified.

But soon, anger replaced Old Du's emotions. The President looked at the surrounding White House, now a ruin, and a hint of indignation appeared on his face: "Those damned superhumans, how dare they kidnap me!"

Old Du was very angry. He was the first President in history to be kidnapped by bandits who stormed the White House.

This meant he had completely become a topic of after-dinner conversation for the U.S. populace.

When his name was mentioned, people would only laugh and say, "Oh, that unlucky fellow who got kidnapped."

Looking at the angry Old Du, Jeno's lips curved into a smile. He hadn't expected Kang to be so effective.

He had been worrying about how to legalize Super Heroes, and an opportunity had just presented itself.

Coupled with the previous case of the murdered senator, Jeno immediately had a plan.

Interrupting Old Du at the right moment, Jeno spoke: "With all due respect, Mr. President, such incidents may become more and more frequent in the future."

"I wonder if you've been following the senator's murder case in Washington? This case also seems to be a crime committed by a super-powered individual."

"They call themselves the Tide, and they intend to overthrow our Free America."

Listening to Jeno's account, Old Du felt his head swell. Both surprised and fearful, he clutched Jeno's armor like a drowning man grasping a lifeline, asking, "General Jeno, what should we do?"

After this kidnapping incident, Old Du harbored a deep hatred for superhuman criminals.

Now, Old Du relied even more on Jeno's opinions and ideas.

After all, General Jeno had already proven through his actions that he was a loyal subject of Free America.

Jeno shook off the President's hand and unceremoniously sat in the President's chair. He interlaced his fingers and rested his chin on them, staring into the man's eyes as he spoke:

"Mr. President, our S.W.O.R.D. is committed to protecting the security of America and Earth. Several months ago, I foresaw this situation and secretly prepared a plan called the 'Super Hero Legalization Plan'."

Old Du dared not express his anger at Jeno's audacious behavior, only managing a grimace worse than crying as he responded, "Super Hero Plan?"

Jeno nodded, saying, "That's right. In fact, for superhumans, we can completely leverage them through a system of mutual benefit to bring them to our side."

"Think about it, Mr. President, when you have Super Soldiers protecting you, wouldn't you sleep much more soundly?"

It must be said, Jeno's words greatly moved Old Du.

However, the President expressed some concerns: "But Congress probably won't easily pass this bill."

"General Jeno, perhaps you could help lobby those senators."

Jeno understood Old Du's unspoken meaning; this guy wanted to reap the benefits while having him do all the hard work.

In this situation,

Jeno didn't panic. He merely smiled indifferently, then walked towards Old Du and lightly patted the man's shoulder.

Jeno was clearly smiling, but Old Du felt fear emanating from him, an extreme fear.

The invisible, terrifying pressure made Old Du tremble uncontrollably. He heard Jeno slowly say, "If I have to do everything, then what is the President for?"

Jeno's words were full of naked threats.

Old Du couldn't help but shiver, quickly nodding in agreement: "Good, good, I will persuade Congress to pass this bill!"

He had almost forgotten that this being, whom the populace called the god of human realm, was not someone with a good temper.

After all, the deaths of Old Charlie and Old Arthur were still full of unanswered questions, and rumors still circulated that Jeno had killed the two generals.

He certainly didn't want to be the third unlucky one.

Seeing Old Du being very sensible, Jeno smiled in satisfaction: "Very good, I hope Mr. President doesn't disappoint me."

Giving a stick and then a carrot, Jeno didn't forget to comfort Old Du: "In a few days, I will dispatch an elite squad to protect your safety."

Jeno released Old Du's shoulder, then shot straight into the clouds under the man's gaze.

Starting tomorrow, the challenge day is over (angry).

Chapter 102: The Super Hero Act Passes

The bombing of the White House had far-reaching consequences.

Now, the entire U.S. was in chaos, with media outlets scrambling to report on the incident's impact, and Jeno's name once again spread throughout Free America.

Meanwhile, Peggy and Natasha, along with Sabretoothand Wolverine, also managed to disarm the bombs before Shaw detonated them.

However, there were oversights; for instance, some bombs in impoverished areas were not disarmed in time, killing a large number of immigrants.

Jeno's assessment of this was indifferent, as in his view, only common people had died, which would not cause any significant impact.

At this moment, outside the ruins of the White House.

Reporters, who had rushed to the scene, wanted to interview the President, but were stopped by soldiers at the cordon line, until the President held a press conference, announcing the launch of the Super HeroProgram.

"Anyone with superpowers can become a Super Herothrough S.W.O.R.D.'s selection process, whether they are Mutants or superhumans; as long as they become a Super Hero, they are a hero of Free America!"

This statement, uttered by Old Du, immediately caused an uproar.

For a time, conspiracy theories, hero threat theories, and other ideas emerged endlessly.

But these had nothing to do with Jeno.

At this moment, Jeno was with Howard on Kang's future aircraft.

Standing at an altitude of ten thousand meters, Howard's initial nervousness had turned into excitement.

Howard was now like a child who had seen a favorite Christmas present, constantly touching this future fighter jet, and although Kang's unseeing expression on the spaceship's metal plate was somewhat frightening, he had also been on the battlefield.

Not only was he not afraid of corpses, but he was also clearly very interested in the energy reactor in Kang's chest.

"Have you figured out how to pilot it?" Jeno asked, with his hands behind his back, looking at the distant clouds.

Howard shivered; due to the broken window, cold air constantly poured in, and the man could only hide behind Jeno, nodding and saying, "Almost, should we fly it back to your place?"

For this technological genius, a simple study was enough to analyze the piloting method of this fighter jet.

Jeno nodded faintly:

"Mm, take it back."

So, Howard piloted the fighter jet towards S.W.O.R.D.

After setting the fighter jet to autopilot, Howard chuckled, rubbing his arms.

"Um, Jeno, there's something I don't know if I should say."

Jeno frowned, then guessed Howard's thoughts: "What? You want to study this fighter jet?"

Howard shrugged: "Of course, what scientist could refuse a future fighter jet?"

Listening to Howard state his intentions, Jeno's mouth curved into a slight smile, and he stared at Howard, saying:

"It's not impossible, but I also have a condition."

"That is to join S.W.O.R.D., Howard, I can offer you a position as a scientific consultant."

Jeno had coveted Howard's research technology for a long time; if Howard could be recruited, it would undoubtedly be a qualitative leap for S.W.O.R.D.'s scientific technology.

"And, do you remember that energy grenade I gave you last time?"

"I found the original energy source, a Tesseract."

"The terrifying power contained within it is beyond your imagination."

Hearing Jeno's words, Howard couldn't help but swallow, these conditions were simply too tempting.

"How about it, want to consider it?" Jeno said with a chuckle, putting his arm around Howard's neck.

Seeing that Howard was still hesitant, Jeno couldn't help but drop another bombshell: "Actually, I plan to have Dr.Erskine and Dr. Zola build a cosmic battleship for me."

Although it was basically impossible with current technology, the benevolent Kang had delivered this epoch-making fighter jet, making everything possible.

Jeno fanned the flames, saying:

"By then, perhaps the two of them will be hailed as the greatest scientists of this century, their names immortalized."

"Jeno, there's no need to provoke me with such tactics, I don't fall for that."

Howard smiled and shook his head, but despite saying that, the words "greatest scientist" kept echoing in Howard's mind.

In the end, Howard still couldn't resist the temptation of 'it smells so good', and waved his hand as if admitting defeat:

"Damn it, I'm in!"

As a scientist's pride, Howard would never allow his achievements to be inferior to those two German scientists.

Jeno released Howard, smiling and patting Howard's shoulder:

"Excellent, welcome to S.W.O.R.D., Howard."

When the future fighter jet landed on S.W.O.R.D.'s lawn, everyone in the agency was in an uproar.

Dr. Zola and Dr. Erskine also rarely came out of the underground laboratory to observe the fighter jet.

Jeno led Howard and introduced him to the two:

"Dr. Erskine, Dr. Zola, this is Howard, an interesting physicist."

The two sides looked at each other, then awkwardly snorted, seemingly expressing disdain for each other.

Jeno smiled:

"It seems those who play with physics and those who play with biology don't get along."

However, Jeno was not surprised; instead, he looked at Electrocution Kid Steve not far away.

Jeno nodded towards Steve:

"Steve."

"Jeno." Steve scratched his head.

Jeno smiled:

"What, are you here to see me about Bucky?"

Steve hesitated for a moment, then nodded: "That's right, Bucky seems to have been turned into an idiot by HYDRA."

Jeno pinched his chin and offered advice:

"Hmm, I'm not too clear on biological technology; you can have Dr. Erskine take a look."

"But there's another matter now." Jeno glanced at Steve: "What do you plan to do next?"

Jeno put his arm around Steve's shoulder, and the two walked towards the underground Base.

"Do what?" Steve shook his head blankly: "I don't know, I don't know what I should do."

"The war is over, and Bucky has been found."

"Perhaps next I will try to help Bucky return to normal."

"Sigh, there's nothing wrong with doing that, but Steve, the Free World needs your strength." Jeno patted Steve's shoulder: "Now there are more and more super-powered individuals, and it's inevitable that some will take risks."

Steve's expression was serious: "You mean?"

"Return to The Boys, the team needs you to join."

This was, of course, a lie; Jeno wanted Steve to join The Boys purely to have Steve protect the President.

Saying that, Jeno launched into a long speech about the people, the evil HYDRA, and so on.

Hearing Jeno's arrangement, Steve agreed without thinking twice, nodding quickly: "No need to say more, Jeno, I promise you!"

Currently, Steve was just lost, but when Jeno pointed him in a direction, Steve immediately perked up.

"Very good, I look forward to your performance." Jenosmiled and turned to leave.

Returning to his office, Jeno saw a table full of documents.

In fact, S.W.O.R.D. didn't have many major issues to handle; typical work usually only involved organizing intelligence and analyzing documents.

However, since Peggy and Natasha were training every day, these documents naturally needed to be handled by himself.

"Damn it."

Jeno rubbed his temples; he needed to find a suitable assistant to help him as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

Steve led Erskine to the underground Base.

At this moment, Bucky, three meters tall, was squatting in a corner like a childish little kid, looking down at the cartoon playing on the TV, while sucking his thumb.

Dr. Erskine shook his head repeatedly upon seeing Bucky: "His intelligence is only at three years old now; Kang's modifications burned his brain. Honestly, I can only get him to understand some fixed commands."

Steve silently lowered his head, then tightened his grip on his shield: "It's okay, as long as he's alive, it's fine."

Oh my, three books by great authors, published around the same time as my 'Chicken Leg' American comics, have already been abandoned; they just cut off the story without warning.

One week later,

After the kidnapping, Old Du was very concerned about personal safety. He quickly overcame all objections and lobbied Congress to pass the Super Hero Bill.

Now, in the eighth-floor office.

Jeno leaned lazily in his chair, while Peggy, Natasha, Steve, Wolverine, and Viktor stood across the desk from him.

"Hmm, I called you all here today for some good news," Jeno said casually, twirling the pen in his hand. "The Super Hero Initiative bill has passed."

"Congress has approved S.W.O.R.D. to establish a Super Hero team for the defense of Washington."

"And soon, we will establish a second Super Hero team in New York."

"As the Director of S.W.O.R.D., I have many responsibilities, so starting today, I am stepping down from my position as Captain of The Boys."

"So, I called you here to decide who will stay in Washington."

Jeno's gaze swept over everyone. Peggy and Natasha, of course, would follow him. The key was Viktor, Logan, and Steve's thoughts.

The group exchanged glances, and Logan was the first to speak: "Boss, Viktor and I will be stationed in Washington."

"Oh?" Jeno was a little surprised. Logan actually volunteered to stay in Washington, which didn't fit his lazy personality.

Meeting Jeno's suspicious gaze, Viktor grinned and explained: "Boss, he found a rich girlfriend here. That woman is the same one we saw in the bar before."

"Now Logan and that woman are hot and heavy all day, he won't leave Washington at all."

Steve also stepped forward and stood up, saying, "Jeno, I also want to stay in Washington."

"After all, Bucky is receiving treatment here, and I don't want to leave him."

Jeno nodded: "In that case, Steve, Logan, and Viktor, the three of you will stay in Washington to protect the President."

After all, Jeno had promised the President, and he didn't want to break his word.

"Heh heh, Boss, I have no problem being teammates with Steve, but the team needs a Captain, right?" Viktor was the first to step forward and voice his opinion.

Logan also nodded, expressing his approval.

A team must have a clear spokesperson, a leader.

Otherwise, roughly referring to the future Avengers, it was precisely because there was no strong leader that a civil war broke out.

For example, the famous Justice League, the spokesperson is invariably Batman, but what about the future Avengers?

Iron Man and Steve formed their own factions, and it was a mess.

"Interesting," Jeno said, looking at Viktor. Is this little brother trying to stir up trouble?

"So, Viktor, what's your opinion? Who can be the Captainof The Boys?"

Viktor was about to say something, but his little brother Logan lightly kicked his shin.

Meeting Jeno's half-smile, Viktor's heart trembled.

He shouldn't have been so talkative in front of the Boss.

So, Viktor quickly tried to salvage the situation: "Uh, I certainly don't know who is more suitable, everything is up to the Boss."

"Heh." Jeno withdrew his gaze, then looked at Logan and the other two.

"Who's the Captain? Solving this problem is simple, a fight will tell."

Logan and the other two nodded:

"A team battle to decide the Captain?"

"No." Jeno shook his head slightly: "My meaning is, whoever can last the longest without falling in my hands, will be the Captain of The Boys!"

Looking at the smiling Jeno, Logan gave Viktor a sympathetic look: "Good luck."

Underground Base.

Behind the thick iron door, Natasha smiled as she looked at Logan and Viktor, who were sitting on the ground with bruised faces, and said, "You two only lasted one second."

"Hiss." Viktor rubbed his cheek. Under the effect of the self-healing factor, the bruises on his face quickly faded. He sighed and said, "There's no way, the Boss is just too strong."

"I can't imagine anyone defeating him."

Peggy, beside him, stared at her watch: "Steve has already surpassed your two records; he lasted over three seconds."

Viktor grinned, his eyes falling on the iron door inside. He said with some curiosity, "I don't think that guy has that kind of strength. He was very weak before, how did he suddenly become so strong?"

Peggy explained, "He underwent transformation with the 'hope' serum."

"hope serum, huh?" Viktor gritted his teeth: "When the Boss comes out, I want to undergo the 'hope' serum transformation too!"

After a few seconds, the iron door opened with a "bang," and a bruised Steve was helped out of the training Baseby Jeno.

"Steve lasted the longest in my hands, so he will be the next Captain of The Boys." Jeno's gaze swept over the others: "Does anyone have any objections?"

The group exchanged glances, then all shook their heads and said, "No objections."

"Alright, Doctor, take Steve away for treatment." Jeno had the Doctor take Steve away.

Jeno smiled with satisfaction, saying, "Very good, I am very pleased with your attitude."

Everyone followed Jeno out of the underground Base.

As soon as they exited the elevator, Viktor and Loganapproached Jeno, smiling sheepishly and saying, "Boss, we want to become stronger."

Viktor said, "I'm really too weak now, I want to become stronger."

After all, the feeling of losing to Steve made him very uncomfortable.

Listening to Viktor's words, Jeno frowned slightly and said, "Want to become stronger?"

Jeno pondered for a moment. Viktor and Logan had followed him and done a lot of dirty work, so he could grant them this wish.

"Hmm, there are indeed two options here, A and B."

Jeno said to the two, "Option A is to inject you with the hope serum. But this kind of blood relative seems to only enhance Mutant abilities when used on Mutants."

"For example, enhancing your self-healing ability."

"However, I don't recommend choosing Option A. Your self-healing ability is strong enough; what you need more now is powerful combat strength."

Jeno extended a second finger and said, "Option B, replace your bones with indestructible Adamantium."

As one of the most durable metals in the Marvel Universe, Adamantium is virtually indestructible. As for the problem of the self-healing factor declining? It's not a problem to give Logan a shot of hope serum to reactivate his self-healing factor.

"Replace all the bones in my body with Adamantium?" Logan and Viktor exchanged glances, both hesitating a little; it sounded terrifying.

Jeno nodded and said:

"That's right, this process will be very painful."

It's more than just painful; first, the molten alloy has to be poured into the body, and that step alone is worse than death, not to mention replacing the body's bones, which is an unspeakable torture.

"So, whether to do it or not, you decide yourselves."

Viktor gritted his teeth and made up his mind: "Boss, I choose Plan B!"

He could endure pain, but he absolutely could not endure his hated Steve being stronger than him!

Little brother Logan saw Viktor join, so he also quickly nodded and said, "I'll join too!"

Chapter 104: The Super Hero Team's Debut

The experiment was finally successful.

Logan was infused with molten Adamantium, nearly dying, but ultimately, he endured the experiment with his strong willpower.

Sabretooth Viktor's situation was a bit grim.

Halfway through the experiment, he almost died, so Jenohad to stop the plan of infusing Adamantium into Sabretooth.

This meant that Sabretooth only had Adamantiuminjected into his upper body; his lower body still consisted of human bones.

The two brothers went wild for a while after the successful experiment, as the intense pain destroyed their sanity, making them want to destroy everything in front of them like madmen.

However, under Jeno's loving iron fist education, the two eventually realized their mistakes and regained their sanity.

As a benefit for his team members, Jeno brought out two sets of Vibranium battle suits for them to change into.

Compared to the X-Men's ugly, Shit yellow-colored suits, these battle suits were darker in color.

Moreover, wolf and tiger patterns were carved on the chests of their suits, which looked very good.

Soon, the day arrived for the Super Hero project to be unveiled.

Everyone at S.W.O.R.D. became busy and nervous on this day.

People had already set up an open-air venue in front of the S.W.O.R.D. building early on.

The Red Room girls nervously arranged the tableware.

And when night fell,

With a few cannon salutes, the press conference officially began.

The first to enter were naturally the celebrities and politicians.

Little Mustache Howard sat in the front row with his female companion, looking excited.

Thanks to his relationship with Jeno, he found a good seat.

Next were the reporters from Jeno's company, with countless cameras scattered in every corner.

Once everyone was present, as several fireworks bloomed in the sky, the next second, a towering figure descended from above, stirring up a large gust of wind and drawing gasps from the crowd.

"Homelander!"

It was unclear which young lady called out, but the crowd immediately erupted in cheers.

"Homelander, Homelander!"

Jeno grinned, opening his arms to welcome the cheers of the people.

"Welcome, welcome, my friends!"

"Welcome to you all!"

Jeno lowered his arms, and the venue quieted down.

All eyes were on Jeno; at this moment, he was the center of attention.

Jeno walked towards the microphone with his hands behind his back and said, "Today, I have invited you all here to witness a historic moment."

"First, I want to thank the President for his support, which successfully led to the passage of the Super Hero Project Act!"

Old Du, who was invited, stood up smiling and waved, and a benevolent laughter filled the venue.

Jeno smiled, then changed the subject, saying, "Before officially introducing our Super Heroes, I want to share the reason for establishing the Super Hero project."

"Perhaps you all remember the White House kidnapping case a few days ago."

Jeno said with a sorrowful expression:

"The reason such a thing happened was entirely because our America did not have its own Super Hero team."

"Even before the White House incident, an assemblyman died in a murder committed by a super-powered individual."

Jeno's face showed indignation and grief, as if he too felt regret for these people: "At that time, I wondered, if our America had its own super-powered team, would these situations have been avoided?"

"I, Jeno Wilson, have always been a righteous person, so I proposed a bill to the President."

"And please allow me today to introduce our Free America's own team to everyone!"

As Jeno's words fell, a woman in a black battle suit appeared out of thin air to his left.

Natasha had a cold and enchanting demeanor, her right hand gently resting on Jeno's shoulder.

"One of The Seven, a symbol of independent girls, Black Widow!"

Natasha smiled faintly, then disappeared before the amazed crowd, only to reappear, causing gasps from the people.

"Oh my god, that's invisibility!"

"She can really do it!"

"Oh my, I wish I had superpowers too!"

Without waiting for the shocked crowd to recover, Jenospoke again: "With invincible divine power, the vice-Captain of The Seven, Captain Peggy Carter of Britain!"

A figure slowly walked onto the stage; Peggy, dressed in an ancient Roman battle skirt and holding a Vibraniumlongsword, stood gallantly at the front of the stage.

She opened her palm and gently clapped, stirring up a gust of wind!

People were astonished again; many politicians were already whispering, discussing whether they could possess such unique superpowers.

But the surprises Jeno brought to everyone were far from over; he smiled again and clapped his hands: "Of course, I also welcome another small team I led during the war, The Boys."

Jeno continued, "First up is our handsome butt god, Electrocution Kid Steve!"

Steve walked onto the stage, carrying his iconic shield, with a shy smile on his face.

"And Wolverine and Sabretooth!"

Logan and Viktor also walked onto the stage, and both did not forget to show off their abilities.

Logan slightly extended his hand, revealing three cold-glowing Adamantium claws.

Jeno slowly flew into the air and said amidst the astonished gazes of the crowd:

"Friends, a new era has opened its arms to us; as long as one has a righteous heart, everyone can become a Super Hero!"

As soon as his words fell, the people completely erupted, as if a brand new path had opened before their eyes, and it seemed everyone could possess great power.

"Moreover," Jeno slowly said to the television screen, "starting today, we will launch a Super Hero selection program to the entire World that will never stop!"

"As long as you have superpowers, you can call our number to sign up for the selection."

"And, as long as you have a righteous heart, you can also sign up for the selection, with a chance to participate in the 'hope' serum experiment!"

Jeno pointed to the two women on his left: "Girls can join The Seven and fight alongside the two seniors."

"As for The Boys, they can join The Boys and fight alongside the seniors!"

Jeno's words spread through broadcasts to thousands of households.

Many parents immediately had ideas; they were thinking, if their children participated in the selection, could they become a member of The Seven?

If their child could truly become a Super Hero, it could completely change the fate of their entire family!

At this moment, in a certain apartment, a pair of parents looked at Jeno on the television.

When they heard Jeno say the words "become a Super Hero," the parents exchanged glances, then turned their gaze to the girl huddled in the corner.

Their daughter, Raven.

This girl looked very strange; she had blue skin all over her body, appearing like an alien, which instilled fear in people.

The girl looked at her parents in terror; she had thought she would suffer another beating today.

Her parents treated her very badly because her blue skin made people feel scared and strange.

But unexpectedly, her parents showed her a long-lost smile.

"Raven!"

Her parents squatted in front of her, even taking out a delicious cake from the refrigerator and handing it to the girl.

The girl cautiously took the cake and ate it in small bites.

Her father showed a fawning smile: "Honey, do you want to become a Super Hero?"

The girl looked up blankly; although she was young, she wasn't completely ignorant.

The girl's gaze fell on Jeno on the television in the distance.

Was it because of this person that her parents' attitude had changed?

Chapter 105: Selecting New Super Heroes

Jeno's remarks caused a huge stir across America and its allies.

This man had become a symbol; his every word and action could set trends.

Soon after Jeno announced the Super Hero plan, other nations also successively launched their own Super Heroplans.

They had no choice but to launch this plan, otherwise, their talents would all flock to America to join the Super Hero team founded by Jeno.

For a time, various places began their own domestic selections, making it incredibly lively.

Meanwhile, in the seventh-floor conference room of S.W.O.R.D.

A long row of tables was arranged in parallel, with Jenoseated at the head. To his left were Natasha and Peggy's Super Team, and to his right was The Boys led by Steve.

Natasha handed Jeno some intelligence, tapping the table. "A total of 200 people signed up this time. However, after an initial elimination of those with useless abilities, there are now eight people in the final round of interviews."

"Hmm." Jeno lazily scanned the document, crossing his arms and saying, "Let's start quickly."

To be honest, he was also somewhat looking forward to what kind of surprises these selected candidates would bring him.

The wide door was pushed open, and the first interviewee entered the venue.

The boy looked a bit young, probably around sixteen years old.

At this moment, he stood shyly at the front, bowing to Jeno and the others.

"Hello, interviewers, my name is Chuck."

Sabretooth, who was beside him, saw this scene and smiled so wide his mouth almost reached his ears. He, a rough and tough guy, could actually act as an interviewer, which Sabretooth found very novel and interesting.

Natasha spoke into the microphone, "Please demonstrate your ability."

So, the boy clenched his fist and introduced, "My ability is to make the hair on my skin turn into hard steel spikes!"

Immediately, he closed his eyes, and in the next second, countless steel spikes instantly stood up from his skin, looking like a hedgehog from a distance.

Gazing at the boy's display, Jeno fell silent. This ability was even weaker than the Mutants in Jack's team.

Hair turning into steel spikes?

What could that do? Expect enemies to run into him?

Everyone exchanged glances, and Natasha cleared her throat, saying, "Steve, this young man is very suitable for The Boys."

Steve's expression stiffened. Just as he was about to say something, he saw Logan and Viktor staring at him with murderous eyes, their meaning clear.

"This guy absolutely cannot join The Boys and make a fool of himself."

Everyone quickly reached a consensus: this Mutant's ability wasn't useless, but it was certainly underwhelming.

Just as everyone was about to reject the guy, Jeno slowly spoke, "Hedgehog Boy, your ability is quite good. I'll give you a C-level contract."

The others looked at Jeno in confusion. Jeno smiled slightly, not intending to explain to them.

He was merely expressing an attitude, letting everyone know that as long as you have a Super Power, you can get a decent job at S.W.O.R.D.

It was similar to the Eastern saying of 'buying bones for a thousand gold'—all that was needed was an attitude.

And while C-level was the lowest of the low, at least he could receive a fixed monthly salary of five hundred U.S. dollars. It was like keeping a mascot.

The guy, whom Jeno called Hedgehog Boy, was full of pleasant surprise. He couldn't believe his ears. He had actually become a Super Hero?

Although it was the lowest C-level, it was still pretty good.

After he left, the next interviewee cautiously entered the venue.

Jeno stared at the girl's pure blue skin, and his eyes immediately lit up.

Isn't this Mystique? He didn't expect to see her here.

At this moment, Mystique Raven looked at everyone timidly, carefully introducing herself, "Homelander, Electrocution Kid, hello everyone, I am Raven, and my ability is shapeshifting and disguise."

Listening to the girl's introduction, Peggy and the others became interested, leaning forward to see the girl's ability.

"Raven, is it?" Jeno smiled gently, looking at the little girl in front of him and saying, "Since your ability is disguise and shapeshifting, then transform into a Steve for me to see."

The girl nodded gently. Although she was young, she knew who the true power holder of S.W.O.R.D. was.

So, Raven slowly closed her eyes, and in the next second, her height slowly increased. Then, a person who looked exactly like Steve appeared before everyone.

Jeno's gaze fell on the shapeshifted Steve's perky butt, and he nodded in satisfaction.

The transformation was very precise and captured the essence. What was the most important symbol of the Captain? Was it his shield? No, it was his American perky butt.

Everyone was also shocked by Raven's ability. Peggyimmediately said, "Our The Seven wants this girl."

It was actually quite pitiful; The Seven only had two people so far. Peggy had asked Jeno more than once why they couldn't change the name to the Super Team, but he always smiled and said that The Seven was a matter of sentiment.

Steve, who was beside them, was also somewhat envious of the Mutant Raven's ability. He hesitated and said, "Uh, actually, she could also join The Boys."

Seeing two top teams vying for her, Raven was both surprised and delighted.

The girl subconsciously looked at Jeno, seeking his opinion.

Meeting the girl's gaze, Jeno smiled and said, "It's up to you. You can join whichever team you want. I will give you an A-level contract."

Raven's ability was indeed good. At the very least, she was excellent at covert intelligence gathering. In any case, she was much stronger than the previous Hedgehog Boy.

Raven's big eyes swept over the two teams. Finally, she bit her lip and said, "I'll join the team with those two pretty big sisters!"

Natasha and Peggy immediately smiled. They looked at Steve's team next door in a challenging manner, then stood up and said, "Welcome to The Seven!"

Raven sat in the seats behind Peggy and the other. Jenotapped the table, signaling his subordinates to invite Raven's parents over to discuss the contract.

The girl's parents were an ordinary rural couple, and they had fawning smiles on their faces when they saw everyone.

Jeno glanced at Natasha, and the girl spoke first, "Your daughter has been confirmed to be recruited by our The Seven. She will sign a contract to become a Super Hero."

"As guardians, we need you to transfer guardianship."

The two were not surprised to hear this. They just smiled and then asked, "How much compensation can we receive?"

Yes, their first concern was not their daughter at all, but only how much return they could get.

A hint of disgust flashed in Natasha's eyes, but she still patiently said, "We will pay you a one-time sum of 1 million U.S. dollars as a transfer agreement."

Don't let this money seem like a lot; the profit brought by one Super Hero will be hundreds of times this price.

Chapter 106: The Great Event of New York Being Flooded

The interview ended not long after it began.

For General Jeno, this interview only managed to recruit Mystique, who was barely usable.

The other Mutants, while not weak, had rather useless abilities.

For example, one Mutant had the ability to make his palms hot.

What could such an ability be used for?

Could he crack an egg onto his hand and make a cooked egg?

"The interview didn't go well," Peggy said, a little disheartened.

General Jeno chuckled, "That's normal.

Most Super Heroes don't actively expose themselves."

"All we need to do is wait and let them believe in our sincerity."

After the meeting, Natasha and Peggy took Raven to get a new uniform and to systematically learn to control her abilities.

Steve also left with Logan and his brother, heading to the White House to protect the President.

General Jeno was about to go find Howard for a few bottles of high-end red wine, but he was stopped by Claire.

"Officer, you need to see this," Claire said with a serious expression, turning on the television.

She handed a document to General Jeno and said in a low voice, "Just three hours ago, New York was submerged by a flood."

General Jeno raised an eyebrow.

He looked up at the television, where a terrifying tsunami was playing on the black and white screen.

Huge waves swept through the city, and cars and trees within the city were carried by the seawater, crashing wildly through the concrete jungle, causing immense destruction to New York.

Soon, the screen began to shake, indicating that the person filming was starting to flee to escape the deadly flood.

General Jeno stared at the television and said with a strange tone, "This tsunami wasn't a natural occurrence, was it?"

Claire nodded.

Ever since Peggy and Natasha joined the Super HeroSeven, she, the former Black Widow, had been promoted to assistant secretary.

Claire continued General Jeno's thought, "Indeed, it wasn't natural.

Someone took a photo in the waves."

General Jeno opened the document.

In the black and white photo, a huge wave was smashing the glass of a tall building, and a blurry figure could vaguely be seen within the wave.

The person was shirtless, wearing only a pair of shorts, but what caught General Jeno's attention was the trident in that person's hand.

The moment he saw this trident, General Jeno even thought that this World had DC's Aquaman, the super tank who talks to fish.

But General Jeno quickly thought of another character.

Also a Lord of the Ocean, holding a trident symbolizing royal power, capable of commanding marine life, like a weakened version of Aquaman Arthur, the superhuman Namo.

He remembered in a certain comic issue, the same character flooded New York.

However, the reason at that time was that Namo, that idiot, mistakenly identified Little Mustache's submarine fleet as U.S. forces.

In a fit of rage, Namo flooded New York.

After fighting Steve, he realized it was all a misunderstanding, so he voluntarily joined Steve's Howling Commandos to fight Little Mustache.

But Little Mustache has been dead for who knows how long now.

Why did Namo flood New York this time?

General Jeno was even a bit speechless.

Poor New Yorkers, no matter how history changes, they can't escape the fate of being submerged.

As General Jeno was pondering, the front desk called, saying that President Old Du had arrived.

"Old Du?"

General Jeno gave Claire a look, and soon, Old Du was led into General Jeno's office, followed by Steve and the two brothers.

The group met, exchanged smiles as a greeting.

Old Du, seeing General Jeno, seemed to calm down and quickly said, "General Jeno, New York is flooded!"

"And according to intelligence, it seems to be a premeditated attack by the enemy."

Old Du was very nervous.

After the kidnapping incident, this President was like a startled bird, wanting to flee at the slightest sign of trouble.

He pulled out something resembling a projector from his hand.

General Jeno recognized at a glance that this technology was not produced on land.

General Jeno took the projector and lightly tapped it.

A wack wearing green shorts with a shell pattern, holding a trident, stared forward with eyes full of anger.

This was a video.

The person's voice was angry as he slammed his trident down and said, "Land dwellers, your days of polluting the ocean are over!"

"I am Namo, King of Atlantis, Lord of the Seven Seas!"

"The wreckage of one of your Lantley warships injured my people.

This is a declaration of war."

Listening to Namo's words, General Jeno's expression was strange.

The Lantley warship was the very one General Arthurwas on at the time.

He hadn't expected that after he destroyed it, it would actually hit the Atlanteans?

But why did this guy wait so long to retaliate?

General Jeno couldn't figure it out, so he could only attribute it to Namo not knowing where to find them.

After all, how intelligent could a guy who mistakes New York for Berlin be?

At this moment, in the large room, Old Du was scared pale, looking as if he had seen a ghost.

He said with a trembling voice, "The Atlanteans, they really exist!"

Facing an unknown kingdom, Old Du felt as if his hair was turning white from worry.

All the troublesome things seemed to happen to him.

General Jeno looked at the panicked Old Du, smiled, and patted Old Du's shoulder, saying, "Mr. President, this is indeed a premeditated attack, but don't worry."

General Jeno smiled confidently, revealing his white teeth, and said, "I've got this."

Although General Jeno had no interest in saving the World, this guy Namo was like a troublemaker, not only liking to harass female heroes and being a wife-lover, but also constantly wanting to cause trouble and destroy the World.

However, General Jeno always regarded U.S. as his property.

If Namo dared to flood New York today, he would dare to attack Washington tomorrow.

So, he planned to catch Namo and interrogate him severely, extracting some good things from this poor fellow.

After all, as the King of the Atlanteans, Namo would surely have many good things in his possession.

Old Du, hearing General Jeno's assurance, said somewhat nervously, "Can you do it?

They are an underwater civilization.

We don't know if they have the same destructive weapons as us."

Old Du's concerns were not unfounded.

After all, no one could guarantee what black technology the Atlanteans possessed.

Looking at the panicked Old Du, General Jeno sighed and said, "Mr. President, the Atlanteans are indeed strong."

"But my S.W.O.R.D. is not weak either."

General Jeno said with his hands behind his back, "Even before this, I had arranged for my scientists to continuously develop advanced and epoch-making weapons."

If he didn't show this idiot a trick, this fool would only hold him back.

"Now, follow me."

General Jeno stood up and walked towards the elevator.

Old Du was slightly stunned, then followed General Jenolike a bag-carrying subordinate.

Facing the unknown Atlanteans, only General Jeno's S.W.O.R.D. could provide the poor President with a negligible sense of security.

General Jeno led Old Du into the elevator, then pressed the basement floor, entered the password, and the elevator slowly began to move.

General Jeno said with his hands behind his back:

"What you are about to see will shock and redefine the World as you know it."

"I hope you are prepared," General Jeno's voice trailed off.

The elevator slowly opened.

Chapter 107: Old Du, Panicking and Seeking Comfort

Old Du followed Jeno into the underground Base.

What greeted Old Du's eyes were countless experimental rooms. The leading room was filled with an untold number of azure weapons, glowing with an iridescent blue light.

At the same time, several Agents, wearing jetpacks made from the Tesseract, flew unsteadily in mid-air.

All these terrifying black-tech weapons made Old Du's heart tremble with fear.

A thought couldn't help but surface in his mind: if Jenowanted to unify the United States, who could stop him?

The more he thought about it, the more fearful he became, and Old Du's attitude towards Jeno grew increasingly respectful.

Jeno looked at everything with a calm expression.

Ever since obtaining the Tesseract, Jeno had never stopped Dr. Zola from developing it.

Now, it seemed the results were good.

Energy weapons made from the Tesseract alone could equip an army.

Old Du, at this moment, was like a bumpkin who had never seen the world, looking around at the scene.

And the several huge Sentinel Robots in the corner also caught Old Du's attention.

He remembered those things appearing at the White House once. Back then, Jeno fought with those Robots, and it only took a few moves to scrap them.

"And this, this is S.W.O.R.D.'s ultimate weapon."

Jeno pointed into the distance. A giant Vibranium cannon, spanning a thousand meters, built by Zola, Howard, and other top scientists, lay silently in the underground Base. It looked like a Planet-destroying cannon from an interstellar battlefield.

Old Du opened his mouth, surprised, and said, "Such a massive weapon, what kind of energy does it use to power it?"

"Very simple, the Tesseract." Jeno patted the cannon barrel and said, "It can adjust the energy output, and its maximum power can destroy the Moon above us."

As the Space Stone, one of the six great Marvel Stones, the Tesseract contained enough energy to destroy a Planet without breaking a sweat.

Old Du clenched his fists, his old face flushed with excitement. Only now did he feel completely relieved, and he slowly said, "With this, there's no need to worry about the Atlanteans anymore."

Jeno smiled and patted Old Du's shoulder, saying, "So relax, Mr. President, we humans are not weak."

Hearing Jeno's words, Old Du immediately gained confidence.

"With this cannon, the Atlanteans are no longer a threat!"

He slowly straightened his back, even planning to test the Atlanteans' strength.

Jeno smiled indifferently. Old Du still had a shallow perspective. He didn't understand that the purpose of building this giant cannon was not to counter the threat of the Atlanteans, but rather the threats from the Universewere the real threats.

Are Atlanteans strong? Not really. Besides being able to live underwater, when they leave the Water, these people are like fish out of Water, their combat power cut in half.

In Jeno's opinion, Atlanteans were not a threat at all.

Nearby, there was Asgard, a group of warlike Vikings.

And in the distance, there were Kree, Skrulls, and even the Shi'ar.

To speak on a larger scale, perhaps the legendary Heralds of Galactus also existed.

These forces were all potential threats. Jeno considered himself not a good person, but he always believed that Earth was his Earth, not an alien's.

Any alien who dared to covet this Planet would only have one outcome: death!

Just as Old Du was clinging to Jeno's leg, feeling safe.

Far away, deep beneath the ocean.

In a city located in an underwater basin, a group of blue-skinned humanoids moved through the city.

Orderly and harmonious, it was clear that everyone wore a peaceful smile.

Unlike the self-destructive surface dwellers, most Atlanteans were not keen on power struggles; as long as they had food, these people could live stable lives.

And at the top of the central tower of this city, Namo sat at the pinnacle of the tower, looking down at his people. His body was sunken into a wide throne, beside which rested the Trident of Poseidon, symbolizing the Atlantean monarchy.

He seemed to be waiting for something.

Soon, a panicked voice came from behind Namo:

"King! I heard you attacked a city of the surface dwellers?"

"Why would you do that?"

"You didn't consult with us at all!"

Namo stared at the distant glass window, which reflected several blue-skinned people in luxurious robes behind him, a stark contrast to his own brownish-black skin.

These people were the Council Elders of Atlantis.

As an ancient kingdom, Atlantis still operated under a King-Council system, with the Council composed of the most prestigious and wealthy Elders in Atlantis.

Generally speaking, the King and Council of Atlantisusually reached a consensus on major decisions.

However, the relationship between this current Council and King Namo was quite poor.

The reason was simple: Namo was not a pure-blooded Atlantean. From his brownish-black skin and pointed ears, it was clear that Namo was a hybrid.

He was born to his Mother and a human sailor.

His story seemed to borrow from the Aquaman Arthur of the neighboring comics. But unlike Arthur, Namo grew up in Atlantis from a young age, receiving Atlantean education, and he harbored animosity towards surface dwellers.

Since his birth, the high-ranking officials were very dissatisfied with his identity, always feeling that the half-human blood in his body defiled the pure bloodline of the Atlantean royal family.

And after his Mother died and he ascended the throne, the Council still protested and rejected his various decisions.

For this young, mixed-blood King, the Council Elders' respect was only superficial; they did not truly recognize Namo, and this was why Namo flooded New York.

He urgently needed to prove himself.

"King, your act of flooding the land has undoubtedly exposed our great Atlantis to the surface dwellers." One of the blue-skinned men stroked his beard and said, "I remember the surface dwellers have a powerful Super Hero named Jeno Wilson."

"Bringing such a powerful enemy upon us is a foolish act!"

A group of old men kept lecturing Namo. Namo listened to the incessant complaints of the old men and finally couldn't help but roar, "Shut up!"

The room gradually quieted down. Namo stood up, coldly picked up the Trident beside the throne, and stared coldly at the people behind him.

He sneered and said, "I am the King."

"Moreover, the surface dwellers' destruction of the ocean has always been harming our home."

"And that Super Hero you mentioned is just a joke."

Namo raised his head arrogantly and said, "If he dares to appear before me, I will end his life with my Trident."

In Namo's view, the so-called Super Hero was just a trick made up by the surface dwellers to comfort themselves.

Atlantis had always looked down on surface dwellers. How could a group of monkeys give birth to a superhuman? It was simply impossible.

Namo's gaze swept over the many Elders, then he held the Trident upside down and pointed it at them, saying, "I will go and kill him now to prove it to you."

He wanted to let these old fellows know his greatness.

Chapter 108: Investigating the Atlantean Attack

Meanwhile, at S.W.O.R.D., after Jeno's secretary saw Old Du off, Jeno called a meeting with members of The Boysand The Seven.

Raven, being too young, did not participate. The others followed Jeno and sat in a circle around the conference table.

Jeno sat at the head of the table, leaning back in his comfortable chair, gazing up at the ceiling. His assistant, Claire, distributed the documents to everyone.

Apart from Jeno, everyone else had their heads down, their fingers turning pages and browsing the information.

The words on the page seemed to have a life of their own; each character was imbued with blood. Steve was the first to speak, his heart filled with anger. He looked at Jeno and said seriously, "We must stop that Ocean King!"

The surging Water had taken tens of thousands of lives in New York City, and the property damage was countless. All of this was done by the Atlantean King.

Jeno chuckled inwardly, glancing at Steve, and a joke came to his mind.

It was the famous common belief among Super Heroes: "Aliens are not people."

Many Super Heroes have a no-kill policy, but these policies usually fail when facing aliens or Atlanteans, because in their view, aliens are not considered people, so they can be killed freely.

"What are your thoughts?" Jeno turned to ask the others.

Peggy thought for a moment and said, "But we can't find any trace of Namo."

This was a very obvious problem. Namo was an Atlantean; he lived in the sea, and the ocean's area was far greater than the land. Finding Namo's whereabouts was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Logan and his brother also couldn't come up with any good suggestions.

The meeting fell silent for a while.

Just then, Natasha spoke, "Why don't we go to New Yorkand take a look? Maybe we can find some clues."

She said jokingly, "In psychology, there's a criminal profile where some narcissistic and paranoid criminals like to return to the crime scene after committing a crime to observe others' reactions and satisfy their pathological desires."

As expected of someone from the Red Room, Natasha's words sounded convincing.

"In that case, everyone, come with me."

"Oh, and remember to contact our newspaper company in New York and have them prepare for an interview." Jenorealized this was another opportunity to gain prestige.

Steve was a bit puzzled, "But how do so many of us get there?"

"That's simple." Jeno tugged at his tie, and then, to Steve's shock, his Cloak of Levitation transformed into a giant red flying carpet.

"This, is this magic?" Steve looked at the scene before him in disbelief. He felt the World had become too fantastical.

"Calm down, my friend. Just think of it as a kind of technology." Jeno shrugged indifferently, gesturing for everyone to step onto the Cloak of Levitation.

Then, Jeno snapped his fingers and stated the destination: "Cloak of Levitation, New York."

The Cloak of Levitation weakly swayed its edges, then with a "whoosh," it carried everyone out the window.

After the Cloak of Levitation left, Jeno also leaped out the window, moving so fast that he created a sonic boom in the air as he flew towards New York.

Jeno quickly caught up with the Cloak of Levitation and saw everyone on it.

"Are you all right?" Jeno clenched his fists in a Supermanflying pose, tilting his head to ask everyone.

The whistling airflow rushed past their ears. Because of the high speed, no one could hear what Jeno was saying.

But from their pale faces, it was clear that this flight experience was by no means a pleasant one.

Fortunately, everyone had been modified by the hopeserum, and their physical qualities were extraordinary, which prevented them from throwing up on the Cloak of Levitation.

As the group approached New York, they looked down on the area from high above.

The once towering skyscrapers were now dilapidated, the roads were covered with seawater that hadn't receded past people's knees, and many cars were submerged in the Water, clearly totaled.

Jeno led the group to land on a rooftop.

The Cloak of Levitation transformed back into a tie and hung around Jeno's neck again.

"Let's go, we'll go down and take a look." Jeno led everyone downstairs.

Because New York was flooded with seawater, employees of these large companies in New York could legitimately stay home and slack off today, provided they survived the sea disaster and their bosses weren't killed by it.

Everyone followed Jeno to the Daily Bugle in New York.

This newspaper had long been acquired by Jeno. At this moment, the manager was leading a group of employees to welcome them in the lobby.

Next came the familiar publicity stunt, which involved Jeno's Super Hero team giving interviews, expressing their indignation towards the evil Atlanteans.

However, Jeno was not interested in such things; he didn't need prestige, because he was prestige!

At this moment, Jeno sat in the top office, gazing at New York. He had to admit that New York, submerged in Water, had a unique kind of scenery. Through the concrete walls of the apartments, one could see all sorts of life: arguing couples, corporate bosses hanging themselves.

One could only say that Namo was truly ruthless. The flooding of New York didn't drown many people, but countless people went bankrupt afterward, for example, their wives left, and their jobs were gone.

All Jeno could do was mourn for these people for 0.5 seconds.

As Jeno was thinking, he heard light footsteps behind him. Without turning his head, Jeno said, "Why aren't you going for the interview?"

Natasha wrapped her arms around Jeno's neck from behind, gently kneading Jeno's cheek with her small hands, saying, "The interview is boring. It's just reading some high-sounding lines from a script."

Natasha then said with some surprise, "But Steve is quite interesting; he can just spout noble and righteous words."

Jeno turned around and pulled his female companion into his arms, gently rubbing her chest and chuckling, "That's just his personality."

Natasha pushed Jeno's mischievous hand away, turned to look at New York, and said, "I want to go see the nearby orphanage."

Jeno was a bit puzzled. Natasha noticed Jeno's gaze, and a hint of sadness flashed in her eyes as she said, "With New York in this state, I want to do something for the children here."

"I remember when I was little, I also lived a nomadic life before being sent to the Red Room for education."

Jeno understood Natasha's words: because she had been rained on, she wanted to hold an umbrella for others. This kindness was indeed precious.

But what did that have to do with him, Homelander?

"Please, Jeno, I beg you, come with me." Natashawrapped her arms around Jeno's neck again, actively placing her hands on his chest and saying, "Those children will be so happy to see Homelander."

Jeno's expression was strange. When he thought of the orphanage, he immediately pictured snot-nosed children. To be honest, he didn't want to go.

Natasha saw Jeno's reluctance, so the girl rolled her eyes, then parted her lips and whispered softly in Jeno's ear, "If you're willing to come with me, then tonight I can wear that outfit…"

Hearing Natasha's words, Jeno immediately changed, straightening his chest and saying righteeously, "As the righteous Homelander, visiting unfortunate orphans is the right thing to do."

After all, strictly speaking, he was also an orphan, and it certainly wasn't about any uniform play.

Jeno and Natasha walked out of the building and headed towards the Convent of Mary in the suburbs of New York.

Wading through knee-deep muddy streets and smelling the salty sea breeze in the air was quite an interesting experience.

The two soon arrived at the orphanage entrance.

Just as they were about to enter, they heard a muffled thunderclap in the distance.

Jeno looked into the distance, his eyes narrowing as the buildings before him gradually became ethereal and transparent.

Jeno zoomed in his vision, quickly locking his gaze on the port.

Above New York Harbor, dark clouds gathered, countless lightning bolts roared with thunder, and as a strong wind blew, a figure holding a trident, riding a dolphin, leaped out. The man dismounted the dolphin and slowly walked towards the pier, treading on the water.

Jeno looked at the man, shirtless, wearing only green shorts, and holding a golden trident. He was looking left and right, seemingly searching for something.

His face held an arrogant expression, as if disdainful of everything in the World.

"What happened?" Natasha also noticed the commotion. She frowned, looking towards the direction of the thunder, but blocked by tall buildings, she could only see the structures.

Jeno's expression was strange. He crossed his arms, let out a cold laugh, and said, "Here's a joke: we seem to have run into the culprit behind the attack on New York."

"Huh?"

Natasha looked surprised, but quickly reacted, her gaze falling on Jeno's face, and she quickly asked, "What should we do now?"

A team must have a backbone, and the S.W.O.R.D.members naturally considered Jeno their backbone, so for any major decision, they would let Jeno make up his mind.

Of course, this was also the result of Jeno's deliberate cultivation.

Jeno pondered for a moment, shook his head, then snapped his fingers, and raised an eyebrow, saying, "I have an idea."

Natasha pressed, "What idea?"

"Follow me." Jeno wrapped an arm around Natasha's slender waist, looked up slightly, and the next second, the two leaped into the sky, splashing the water beneath their feet in ripples.

Namo, holding his trident, raised his head and proudly looked at the pier submerged in seawater.

As a king, his entrance naturally had to be stylish.

He remembered that when he used to come here, there would be some crude workers loading and unloading goods.

From time to time, they would even throw garbage into the sea, polluting the marine environment, but now, these people had all been killed by him.

Namo was extremely satisfied; he felt that his decision to flood New York was absolutely correct.

Smelling the salty, damp air, Namo closed his eyes in enjoyment.

Of course, his mind hadn't forgotten the real reason he was here: to find Jeno Wilson's whereabouts.

That's right, although he was the self-proclaimed Lord of the Seven Seas, the King of Atlantis, the strongest ruler, Namo, because he looked down on human culture, had no idea where Jeno was, let alone how to find and kill him.

However, Namo had legs and a mouth, so he decided to go ask a land dweller himself.

After flooding New York and yet receiving no retaliation from the enemy, Namo had come to view all land dwellers as cowards. He figured he could just threaten anyone and get the information he needed.

Namo came back to his senses, raised his head, and his gaze fell on a fishing tackle shop not far from the pier, where a young couple was open for business.

It was strange that someone would still be open for business after New York was flooded.

But don't expect a high IQ from a guy who could mistake New York for Berlin.

Besides, Aquaman didn't think anyone could hurt him.

He walked swaggeringly towards the fishing tackle shop, trident in hand.

The distance between them grew shorter, and Namo also got a clear look at the young couple. The man was handsome, but Namo thought he wasn't as handsome as himself.

His gaze focused on the woman. She had delicate features and beautiful auburn hair, and most importantly, she was curvaceous and full of charm.

Moreover, these two clearly looked like a couple, which excited Aquaman even more; he loved to ruin other people's relationships.

So, Namo quickened his pace. He couldn't wait to see the scene where, after he revealed his identity, the woman would abandon her young boyfriend and throw herself into his arms.

Soon, Namo arrived next to the fishing tackle shop, and the young couple also noticed him. They showed surprised expressions at the shirtless man. However, Namo mistakenly interpreted this gaze as admiration.

So, he deliberately flexed his pectoral muscles, an arrogant expression on his face, and snorted a puff of hot air from his nose. His eyes fixed on Natasha, and he opened his mouth, a fishy smell emanating as he said, "Beautiful one, I am the Lord of the West Sea, the Masterof the Ocean, Namo Mackenzie."

Although he really wanted the woman in front of him, Namo still had some sense and knew that the main business was important.

He coughed twice, straightened his back, trying to appear taller than Jeno.

The man snorted coldly, staring into Natasha's emerald eyes and saying, "I ask you, do you know Jeno Wilson?"

Natasha brushed her hair back and chuckled, saying, "Of course, from the President to the common people, who in America doesn't know him?"

"I heard he is handsome and mighty, the dream lover of countless young girls."

Jeno's expression beside her was strange. Although what Natasha said was true, praising himself like that in front of an idiot still felt very odd.

Jeno suppressed a smile and chimed in, "That's right, and I heard he's especially enduring. Women who have been with him can never forget his terrifying and vigorous energy."

Listening to the two's words of praise for Jeno, Namo's originally arrogant expression suddenly turned sinister.

Handsome and especially enduring?

These things were like sharp thorns piercing Namo's chest. The man's face turned ugly, but as Aquaman, Namo still sneered, expressing his disdain for Jeno.

His face was full of arrogance as he said, "I heard he's hailed as the god of human realm?"

"But in my eyes, that guy is a coward."

Natasha glanced at Jeno, then propped her chin with her hands, assuming an admiring posture as she asked, "Why do you think he's a coward? This shirtless You-Know-Who?"

The woman's words made Namo puff out his chest. He was very satisfied with his physique.

The man tilted his head back: "It's simple, I destroyed his homeland, yet this guy showed no reaction. This kind of behavior is fear and cowardice!"

As he spoke, Namo raised the trident in his hand and slammed it hard on the ground, making a muffled sound.

The arrogant man's words made Jeno frown. He didn't agree with Namo's statement.

After all, New York was flooded, and it was Americans who died. What did that have to do with him? He didn't care about their lives at all.

The reason he wanted to find Namo was for fame and practical benefits.

Jeno's plan was simple: capture Namo, then emulate the practices of his predecessors from his old home, and use Namo to extort benefits from the Atlanteans.

Chapter 110: The Arrogant Aquaman Namo

At this moment, Namo still didn't realize that the main target was right in front of him. He was already eager to reveal his identity to make the woman submit.

"So, the god of human realm is a joke. I, Namo Mackenzie, am the God of the World!"

Jeno watched Namo's pretense calmly. This guy was truly arrogant. Even he didn't dare to call himself invincible in this World, after all, the Marvel Universe was very deep, and there were countless hidden powerhouses.

"You should feel honored, woman."

Namo sneered and waved the trident in his hand, stirring up a gust of sea breeze with a salty smell. He glanced at the young man and said, "You deserve a better man."

As he spoke, the flamboyant guy ran a hand through his golden, damp long hair.

Through the fishing gear window, Natasha inside was suppressing a laugh, biting her red lips lightly, staring at Namo's hair which looked as ugly as a dirty, smelly mop.

As an Agent from the Red Room, Natasha was very good at concealing her emotions.

She showed weak and helpless emotions, looking timidly at Namo and saying, "But I love my boyfriend very much. Please don't make me leave him."

Listening to the woman's rich, mellow voice with a hint of Russian English, Namo shivered. He closed his eyes in enjoyment, shook his head, and decided he would have this woman.

Namo opened his eyes again, sneered, and said, "You love your boyfriend very much? That's easy. Just kill your boyfriend, isn't it?"

With that, a hint of killing intent flashed in Namo's eyes. He flicked his elbow, and the trident in his hand stabbed out like lightning, aiming for Jeno's eyes.

Such a beautiful woman should only be seen by him, Namo. As for ex-boyfriends, it's best if they die!

This move was undoubtedly intended to poke out Jeno's eyes.

As the trident got closer and closer to Jeno's eyes, a cruel smile appeared on Namo's lips. He seemed to already foresee the opponent's eyes being gouged out and the smell of blood in the air.

The next second.

"Slap!"

To Namo's surprise, the young man in front of him, whether by coincidence or accident, used only one hand to grip the trident. The weapon stopped ten centimeters from the young man's cheek and could no longer move a millimeter.

"This?"

Namo's expression was uncertain. He was very confident in his strength, capable of easily smashing land dwellers' tanks, but now he was easily stopped by a land dweller.

"This is impossible!"

Namo's expression was ferocious. A mere land dweller should just die obediently, and then his girlfriend would be his!

Thinking this, Namo increased the force in his hand again.

But no matter how hard he pushed the trident, he couldn't move the sharp weapon in his hand an inch.

Namo subconsciously looked at the young man, only to see that the originally fearful young man had, at some point, adopted a calm expression, his eyes staring at Namo without emotion, which made the man shiver.

At this moment, even if Namo was any dumber, he would still realize the strangeness of the person in front of him.

Namo looked up at Jeno, his face gloomy, and said in a hoarse voice, "Who exactly are you?"

Listening to Namo's words, Jeno was unhurried. While gripping the Trident of Poseidon, his gaze only fell on Namo's weapon, and he said to himself, "This is a good thing. It can be taken back to the bureau for research."

Seeing himself ignored, the enraged Namo roared furiously, "Answer me, mortal!"

Namo's voice was very loud. With his roar, Jeno only felt a fishy, rotten smell assault him, like the taste of rotten eggs.

The young man held his breath, then raised his other left hand and waved it gently.

"Whoosh!"

The immense force stirred up a gust of wind that carried away the unpleasant gas. Jeno then let out a sigh of relief. While gripping Namo's weapon, he picked his ear, not even looking at Namo, but instead looked at Natasha and said, "Natasha, you tell him, who am I?"

Natasha's expression also turned cold at this moment. The woman's Green yes looked indifferently at Namo, as if looking at an indescribable pile of garbage. She reached out and put her arm around Jeno's shoulder, then, under Namo's furious gaze, gave Jeno a big kiss.

Licking the saliva from her lips provocatively, Natashachuckled and said, "Standing before you is the coward, the wimp, the weak god of human realm you spoke of, Jeno Wilson."

"However," Natasha paused, rolled her eyes at Namo, and then tapped the trident, which was stuck in mid-air, with her small hand, saying, "You don't seem to be General Jeno's opponent."

Listening to their coordinated conversation, Namo's head was buzzing. His emotions went from confusion to extreme shame and then to anger.

It turned out that from the moment he walked towards this fishing tackle shop, these two guys had been watching him perform as if watching a joke.

The extreme humiliation was unbearable for Namo.

"Ah!" he shouted, then threw his other fist at Natasha: "Damn bitch, die!"

The whistling fist brought a strong gust of wind as it swung towards Natasha's cheek.

"Slap!"

Before the fist could hit Natasha, an iron hand firmly gripped Namo's wrist. Before the Aquaman could react, the muscular arm suddenly exerted force, and Namo's wrist twisted like a pretzel, flesh tearing open to reveal white bone, and blood dripped from the broken wrist.

"Ah! My hand!" Namo painfully clutched his wrist. Just as he was about to say something, a fist suddenly slammed into the man's abdomen.

The next second, immense power erupted!

"Boom!"

In an instant, the Aquaman only felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. That terrifying force seemed to have shattered his internal organs, and he was sent flying by a single punch, instantly soaring backward like a cannonball, flying towards the distant New York City, continuously smashing through the sturdy concrete walls of high-rise buildings, then falling onto the concrete road, plowing a gully hundreds of meters long.

Jeno watched Namo, who was sent flying. At this moment, the Aquaman was slumped in a large pit like a dead dog.

Jeno embraced his female companion, and in a blink of an eye, they flew to the side of the deep pit.

"Slap!"

Jeno grabbed Namo's ankle, dragging him out of the deep pit as if pulling a dead dog.

At this moment, Namo was utterly mangled and unrecognizable. His wrist was broken, with white bones protruding from his skin, and his body was covered in small wounds.

Namo's eyes were open, but he could only keep them open. Every bone in his body was completely shattered by the terrifying force, and large amounts of blood continuously gushed from his nose and mouth.

A faint, fishy odor simultaneously permeated the air, clearly indicating that this guy had soiled himself from Jeno's punch.

"Lord of the Seven Seas?" Jeno stepped on Namo's bruised face with his shoe, leaned down, and stared at Namo: "Is that all?"

Namo spoke with difficulty, enduring the bloody taste in his mouth, "Please, save me!"

At this moment, the Lord of the Seven Seas had long lost his former pride. He didn't want to die; he was a king, and he still had a lot of life to enjoy.

"Don't worry, I won't let you die." Jeno smiled and released his foot, saying, "You are an important bargaining chip for me and Atlantis. If you die, who will I ask for a 'ransom' from?"
