Chapter 296 - Ch: 121-130

Chapter 121: The Tide Rider in the Depths of the Desert

Old Jack pushed open the glass door of his apartment.

He wearily threw himself onto the sofa.

It was tiring, and bitter.

Facing the so-called god of human realm, everyone's attitude was consistent: flattery and awe. Only he always stood on the opposite side.

Privately, many colleagues also advised him not to oppose that god of human realm, saying that the other party was an existence he couldn't afford to provoke.

But recalling the deceased William, Arthur, and George, Old Jack resolved to fight Jeno to the end.

In his opinion, Jeno, possessing such terrifying power, would sooner or later bring disaster to the entire World, and this Atlantis incident was a very good example.

"Jeno Wilson."

Old Jack cursed a few times in his heart, and the young maid at home brought him fragrant coffee, not forgetting to wink at Old Jack and say in a sweet voice, "General Jack, your coffee."

Looking at the young and beautiful maid, Old Jack's face showed a lecherous expression: "Oh, Mary, come here and let me take a look."

His old, bark-like hands moved up and down:

"Hmm, it's gotten much bigger again. Tonight, I'll help you check the size."

Old Jack patted his backside, then picked up the coffee and took a sip.

The next second, a sharp pain spread through his internal organs. Old Jack's eyes widened, and he spat out a mouthful of blood: "Ugh, the coffee is poisoned!"

He staggered to his feet and walked towards the phone. He had arranged a large number of Mutant warriors outside the Villa; if he had enough time, he might be saved.

But the next second, the space in front of him vibrated strangely, and a figure jumped out of the space, blocking Old Jack's path.

"Admiral Jack." The newcomer bowed respectfully. He had an initial "J" pinned to his trench coat, a symbol Old Jack recognized as belonging to the recently emerged superhuman criminal organization "Tide."

They would commit mischief in Free America every now and then, and only Jeno's seven-member superhuman team could contend with these powerful individuals.

But why were people from Tide here?

Before Old Jack could react, the other party chuckled and said, "General Jeno asked me to send his regards."

Old Jack felt his head go "boom." Even Tide was part of that guy's forces!?

But the vision in front of him gradually blurred. The poison had seeped into Old Jack's internal organs.

"Thud."

Old Jack collapsed onto the cold rug, his last moments filled with anger and regret towards Jeno. Damn it, if he could do it again, he would never choose to oppose Jeno. The other party was far more decisive than he had imagined.

In Egypt, on the other side of the continent.

The boundless desert was like a yellow ocean.

Dryness and desolation were the main themes of this land, and the occasional sandstorms also carried a hint of heat.

The endless sea of sand seemed to stretch directly to the sky.

Several majestic and spectacular Pyramids were faintly visible within it.

A man with black hair and a metal helmet on his head looked at the distant Pyramid with a complex expression.

This man was Sebastian Shaw, who had previously sold Kang.

"Do we really have to do this, boss?"

Several Mutants followed behind Shaw.

As one of Shaw's few trusted confidants, they naturally knew Shaw's plan for this journey.

Shaw took a deep breath of the sand-filled air, his face grim: "We have no choice. As long as the damned Jenoexists in this World, we can only hide like rats in a sewer."

Even the famous future man Kang was easily dealt with by Jeno. Since then, Shaw had lived in constant fear, afraid that one day Jeno would break into his hiding place and crush his heart.

So, Shaw, relying on his connections in the Mutantcommunity, obtained reliable intelligence from a Mutantwho had lived for a longer time.

It was said that a powerful and terrifying Mutant was buried somewhere in Egypt, whose strength could contend with Jeno.

Holding onto this illusory hope, Shaw traveled throughout Egypt, and this place was the last Pyramid.

"Spider, have you found anything?" Shaw turned his gaze to the dark-skinned man in the crowd.

The man rolled his eyes, which was, of course, him activating his Mutant ability.

The next second, the man's face changed dramatically, saying, "I sensed a terrifying source of biological energy not far away!"

Listening to the man's words, a hint of excitement appeared on Shaw's face.

Could it be that he really found it?

So, Shaw quickly urged his camels to find the Pyramidemitting terrifying energy under the guidance of his subordinates.

Perhaps due to its age, this Pyramid was buried under the sand, with only its spire exposed.

But this was not a problem for Kang's subordinates. One of them pressed on the sand, and the next second, the surrounding sand wriggled as if alive, revealing the Pyramid's original appearance.

Some people slid down the pit wall and quickly found the entrance to the Pyramid.

The entrance was buried by a huge stone. Shaw stretched out his hand, his body trembling slightly, causing him to blur. The man gathered strength and punched the huge stone. The originally solid stone suddenly shattered, revealing a dark, cavernous opening.

"Let's go."

Shaw led the way, taking everyone into the Pyramid. A Fire-elemental Mutant conjured a ball of Fire in his palm, dispelling the surrounding darkness.

Although everyone carried flashlights, for the sake of their comrades' pride, no one took out their flashlights to illuminate the way.

The firelight dispelled the surrounding darkness, allowing everyone to see some strange paintings carved on the surrounding walls.

However, based on the body movements of these small figures, it could be roughly inferred that it told a story of a great pharaoh leading Egyptian believers to overthrow the tyranny of the previous pharaoh.

They rounded a corner and walked towards the bottom of the Pyramid. Soon, the group stood at the very bottom of the Pyramid, in a spacious hall where a giant sarcophagus was placed.

A purple energy enveloped the sarcophagus, and inside the crystal sarcophagus was a man with grayish skin, adorned with the ornate jewels typically used by pharaohs to signify their status.

If one didn't carefully observe his rising and falling chest, anyone would likely think this guy was already dead.

"Well, it seems we've found a vegetative state?"

The Mutant with flames in his palm said mockingly.

Shaw didn't respond. His gaze swept over the golden sarcophagus.

Its surface was engraved with strange and ornate lines, like some kind of precise instrument.

"These things seem to be some kind of instrument, but we lack energy."

Shaw's gaze swept around, finally noticing a clue on the mural above his head.

It depicted a pharaoh leading four strangely posed people worshiping the Sun.

Shaw pondered, stroking his chin: "Could it be that this instrument is related to the Sun?"

"Fire, smash the side of the Pyramid and let the Sun shine in!"

Shaw decided to try it anyway; there was nothing to lose for him.

As for damaging cultural relics? The owner of this Pyramid hadn't even spoken yet.

The subordinate Mutant rubbed his hands continuously, and soon a ball of intense Fire gathered in his palm. Then he threw the flames from his hand.

The scorching flames, imbued with explosive energy, shattered the side wall of the tower. A few rays of sunlight streamed through the opening, falling onto the sarcophagus.

Chapter 122: The Resurrected King

Under the sunlight, the next second, the originally light purple energy barrier shattered, and the grey-skinned man in the coffin suddenly opened his eyes, a terrifying pressure sweeping through the Underground Base.

Hmm, if Jeno were here, he would definitely exclaim that the coffin lid had moved.

The grey-skinned man, who was Apocalypse, slowly floated down and stepped onto the ground, his cold gaze sweeping over the few people.

Shaw and his group stared nervously at this ancient and powerful Mutant, none of them knowing what he would do next.

Apocalypse stared at them, then rolled his eyes. This was not him looking down on them, but Apocalypse activating his Mutant ability.

"You are Mutants."

Apocalypse stared at Shaw.

Shaw quickly nodded and said, "Great Master, we are Mutants!"

"Please forgive us for waking you from your deep slumber."

"Because the Mutants are in grave danger now."

"There's a guy named Jeno Wilson who is persecuting us Mutants!"

Shaw kept deceiving Apocalypse, and his followers behind him also nodded.

As a Mutant supremacist, Apocalypse immediately became enraged upon hearing this: "Jeno Wilson, is he also a Mutant?"

"No, great Supreme, that guy is not a Mutant. He is just an ordinary human, yet he covets our innate abilities as Mutants and attempts to research us."

Apocalypse's expression was calm, his words domineering: "How dare a tiny insect covet the power of a god?"

"My children, now that I have returned, I will deliver justice for you!"

Seeing that they had successfully tricked Apocalypse into believing them, Shaw joyfully said, "Then, great Supreme, let us go settle accounts with that human now."

Hearing this, Apocalypse slowly shook his head.

Shaw immediately became anxious, and just as he was about to ask why, Apocalypse interrupted him: "There's no hurry for revenge. First, I need to find my Four Horsemen."

This was one of Apocalypse's personal quirks; in every era he experienced, he had to find the Four Horsemen, like an obsessive-compulsive disorder.

What could Shaw do but smile ingratiatingly and declare Apocalypse to be wise.

Shaw thought to himself, secretly: "But Apocalypse has awakened, Jeno won't live much longer."

Washington.

Inside S.W.O.R.D. Headquarters.

Jeno pushed away the arm draped across his chest and got out of bed, feeling refreshed.

After tucking in the covers for his two female companions, Jeno walked into the bathroom for a hot shower, then, wrapped in a bathrobe, stood before the transparent glass, gazing into the distance.

Snowflakes danced outside the window, signaling the arrival of another winter, proving that he had grown another year older.

The Atlanteans incident had temporarily concluded, and his scientists had begun a new round of scientific research.

It must be said that the Atlanteans' method of using Water as energy was very innovative, leading to new breakthroughs in many S.W.O.R.D. technologies.

"Namo really is a good man."

Jeno shook his head with emotion, truly hoping that more such individuals would appear.

He carefully assessed his current forces. The Super Heroproject was steadily advancing, with more and more super-powered individuals joining his ranks. It was just a pity that he still couldn't find that little brat Charles.

The other party seemed to dislike appearing in public or allowing his Mutant abilities to be used by S.W.O.R.D.

Meanwhile, on the technology side, brilliant scientists like Howard, Zola, and Erskine were also at S.W.O.R.D., continuously driving technological progress. With the added Atlanteans technology, he believed it wouldn't be long before they might even develop an aircraft carrier.

"It's truly a thriving scene," Jeno said, shaking his head with emotion.

After admiring the beautiful scenery for a while, Jeno had just changed his clothes and walked downstairs when he was stopped by several Agents: "Officer, our Agents in Egypt have discovered unusual activity there."

Jeno took the document and opened it, seeing several black and white photos of multiple Pyramids rising from the ground.

Jeno continued to flip through, and soon in a blurry photo, he saw a vague figure suspended in mid-air.

"Tsk."

Jeno frowned slightly, his good mood from the morning slightly soured.

Egypt, desert, Pyramid.

Just these few key factors linked together, Jeno knew the answer.

It must be that the one hailed as the strongest Mutant—Apocalypse—had been awakened, and Jeno guessed it was very likely that dirty rat Shaw secretly stirring up trouble.

"Sigh, go call everyone for a meeting."

Jeno had a bit of a headache; one troublesome matter after another kept popping up, truly giving him no peace.

Jeno knew a little about Apocalypse.

His real name was En Sabah Nur, and Apocalypse's strength varied across different Marvel Universes.

But his ideology was Mutant supremacy, and he was determined to conquer the World, making everyone grovel at the feet of Mutants and serve them like dogs.

Facing such a Mutant madman, what Jeno needed to do was simple: find Apocalypse, and kill Apocalypse.

However, facing such an enemy also required ample preparation, because Apocalypse was not weak. His abilities included flight, super strength, psychokinetic control, and a series of other powerful Mutant abilities.

Among them, the most famous was his ability to enhance Mutant powers. Jeno remembered that in the movie version, he once evolved the wings of an Angel-type Mutant into steel wings, and also greatly enhanced Magneto's abilities during his middle age.

However, the current Magneto was still a little brat, and even with Apocalypse's enhancement, he wouldn't be able to achieve World-destroying power.

Everyone quickly received Jeno's message and rushed to the conference room. Jeno also shared his intelligence with everyone.

Upon learning that S.W.O.R.D. had to face a terrifying "monster" that had lived for thousands of years, everyone's faces showed some fear.

"Called the strongest Mutant?"

Sabretooth was the first to speak, with a ghost-like expression: "And he's lived for thousands of years."

Jeno looked at the dispirited crowd and, with some dissatisfaction, tapped on the table: "Everyone, no matter how long he has lived, as long as he is an enemy of S.W.O.R.D., we must find a way to eliminate him."

"So what if it's Apocalypse? Is our S.W.O.R.D. weak?"

Jeno's words were like a shot of adrenaline to everyone's hearts: Yes, we are not weak either.

Especially since we also have Homelander!

As they thought this, many people turned their gaze to Jeno.

This man in front of them had already created too many impossibilities.

Japanese demons, Red Skull, Kang, Namo—these powerful enemies were all hung in Jeno's display cabinet, which proved that nothing was impossible.

Jeno tapped on the table, bringing everyone's thoughts back.

He began to lay out the plan:

"Steve, I want you to lead The Boys to Egypt to gather intelligence on Apocalypse."

Steve nodded with a solemn expression.

Jeno instructed: "As soon as you find traces of Apocalypse, contact me immediately, and I will rush over to support you."

"Also, Howard, Zola, bring out those things from the Underground Room."

A cold smile played on Jeno's lips: "It's also time to let Apocalypse, this old fossil, witness the power of modern technology."

Howard nodded nonchalantly, while Zola's face was filled with excitement. Finally, was it time for technology to shine?!

Chapter 123: The Ancient One, a Laborer

The meeting adjourned, General Jeno assigned tasks to everyone, and they dispersed.

General Jeno was about to go downstairs for breakfast when Claire came knocking again.

"Alright, what bad news is it this time?" General Jeno sat back down, rubbing his forehead.

It was well-known that S.W.O.R.D. was an Agentorganization, and for one of his Agents to seek him out undoubtedly meant something major.

Claire also seemed troubled, stammering, "Officer, someone from the media we're monitoring has exposed some dirt on you."

At this, General Jeno pondered for a moment, then said with some surprise, "Dirt?"

Honestly, Claire's words piqued his interest. Someone actually dared to slander his morally upright self?

"What did they say?" General Jeno glanced at Claire, leaning back lazily in his chair.

"Uh."

Claire opened a file and said, "It's a small tabloid newspaper that collaborated with other large newspapers and news media with strong backgrounds to publish it."

"They said,"

General Jeno stared at Claire, seeing the worry in his secretary's eyes, and chuckled, "Go on, I won't get angry. A strong person should disregard the criticism of the weak."

With General Jeno's assurance, Claire breathed a sigh of relief, then spread out the file and said, "They said you are the murderer of General Arthur, General Charlie, and General Jack. They said you are America's biggest tyrannical dictator, plotting to rule the populace."

As Claire finished speaking, she saw that General Jeno's expression remained calm. He just tilted his head, staring at Claire, and said, "Anything else?"

"No, that's it."

"Heh, I thought it would be more incisive. Is that all?"

In fact, the higher-ups were all aware of these matters, but no one would expose them. Now, however, someone had, implying they were overturning the table and refusing to play anymore.

General Jeno didn't care. He stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing into the distance. Outside the company, a group of agitated citizens had gathered, holding large white boards with headlines like "Homelander, Murderer" written on them.

"Tsk." General Jeno narrowed his eyes slightly: "Claire, don't you think there's something strange about all this?"

Claire also nodded, "Those big newspapers are all operated by old families; they wouldn't and don't have the guts to go against you."

"Right, but where did these guys get the courage to suddenly dare to turn on me?"

General Jeno chuckled, things were getting more and more interesting.

"Do we need to..."

Claire made a throat-slitting gesture towards the protesting crowd below.

"Killing and fighting isn't good." General Jeno shook his head, staring at the troublemakers: "These are just small fries, not the big fish. The real big fish are hidden behind the scenes. Killing these protestors will only cause public opinion to turn against us."

"Then, are we just going to watch them spread rumors?"

"Of course not." General Jeno said with his hands behind his back, "Contact the newspapers we control and have them clear my name."

The media industry he had laid out before could finally be put to use now.

"The general direction should be to talk about my contributions."

Isn't it just a war of words? Who doesn't know how to do that?

"Alright, I'll go right away."

Claire nodded, turned, and left with swift efficiency.

After Claire left, General Jeno keenly sensed the energy fluctuations from behind him.

The young man slowly turned around.

In front of him, the air at the entrance of the conference room shimmered with golden light. The next second, a circular spatial portal, flashing with golden light, opened, and the familiar yellow-robed bald figure emerged from within.

It was still that calm and nonchalant smile, fully displaying the aura of a big shot.

"Whoosh!"

The tie on General Jeno's clothes suddenly flashed and transformed into a cloak. The Cloak of Levitationaffectionately circled the Ancient One once, then floated quietly in mid-air.

"Sorcerer Ancient One." General Jeno greeted with a smile, "Please, have a seat. What brings you to my S.W.O.R.D.?"

Others might not know, but General Jeno was well aware that this big shot was the Sorcerer Supreme, a very busy person.

"General Jeno."

The Ancient One smiled as she sat down, glanced at General Jeno, then flipped her hands, and a dark green timeline appeared in the air. She slowly said, "The timeline is in danger."

"Is it Apocalypse?" General Jeno immediately thought of Apocalypse, but the Ancient One shook her head in denial, saying mysteriously, "It's not Apocalypse, but extraterrestrial visitors."

"Extraterrestrial visitors?"

General Jeno frowned: "Asgardian?"

"No, but I can give you a hint: a war between two alien races is about to affect our Planet, and this Planet even risks destruction."

Hearing the Ancient One's explanation, General Jenoimmediately understood. The young man's expression turned somewhat grim: "The Skrulls and the Kree, right?"

The Ancient One did not speak, but her smile already proved General Jeno's guess was correct.

General Jeno gave a wry smile: "You really know how to pick people, don't you? Shouldn't such a Planet-destroying event be interfered with by you Sorcerers?"

In fact, the duty of Kamar-Taj is not to protect humanity. Their dimensional demon gods are the Vishanti trinity, and among the Vishanti, the most powerful, the Eastern Star Goddess Oshtur, is one of Earth's ancient animal demon gods. Contemporaries include the serpent god Set, the Great Shadow Chthon, and others. The homeworld of these demon god big shots is Earth, and Earth is also the central fulcrum of the Universe. As the demon gods' homeworld, not only the serpent god Set but also the Great Shadow and other demon gods covet Earth. This is also the reason Vishanti created Kamar-Taj.

They need Kamar-Taj to protect Earth; even if humans all die, as long as Earth is fine, that's enough.

So General Jeno speculated that the war between the Skrulls and the Kree was likely to affect Earth in a future timeline, which is why the Ancient One rushed to find him.

Simply put, he was a damn laborer.

However, this matter also counts as a technological problem, so it's not a problem to let him solve it.

Nevertheless, General Jeno still hoped to get some good things from the big shot, so General Jeno showed a hesitant expression and said, "Sorcerer Ancient One, of course, that's no problem, but they are aliens. If their warships come to the Planet, I can't survive in the Universe to stop them."

General Jeno was speaking the truth. He did have an Iron Body, but he couldn't afford to float in the Universewithout oxygen.

The Ancient One smiled calmly, as if she had expected General Jeno to say this. She snapped her fingers, and a silver-white porcelain vessel appeared before General Jeno. The Ancient One winked at General Jeno and said with a smile, "This is Kamar-Taj's reward. It can not only allow you to breathe in the Universe but also further enhance your abilities."

"There's such a good thing." General Jeno's expression changed, and he immediately puffed out his chest, saying, "Don't worry, Sorcerer Ancient One, I will deal with those Skrulls and Kree."

After all, strictly speaking, he also lived on this Planet. If the Planet exploded, he would have nowhere to run.

Now with a reward, he was naturally full of motivation, as the quality of anything the Ancient One took out was guaranteed.

"Then, the safety of the Planet is entrusted to you, Mr. Jeno." The Ancient One smiled and nodded. Not far away, space tore open a golden portal, and the Ancient Onestepped into the light circle and left.

After the Ancient One left, General Jeno immediately picked up the white porcelain jar on the table, intending to study it carefully.

Chapter 124: Symbiote Carnage Shadow

Watching the Ancient One leave, Jeno picked up the porcelain bottle on the table and examined it carefully.

It was just an ordinary porcelain bottle, nothing special.

"If the bottle isn't the reward, then it must be what's inside?"

Jeno's eyes narrowed slightly, and using his X-ray vision, as the bottle gradually became transparent, he discovered a strange silver liquid inside.

This liquid kept wriggling as if it contained life.

Looking at the liquid, Jeno understood what the Ancient One's reward was—the famous Symbiote of the Universe.

As Earth's largest rogue organization, it was not surprising that Kamar-Taj possessed such a thing.

Jeno recalled information about Symbiotes in his mind.

The Symbiote race is also known as Klyntar. Their creator is an evil god named Knull, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, Knull was eventually overthrown by his own created Symbiotes and sealed on an ancient, desolate Planet.

"Interesting, a Symbiote."

How could Jeno not know about the famous biological battlesuits in Marvel? Even an ordinary person with a Symbiote could become an existence on par with Steve.

However, this power was merely a chicken rib for Jeno. He was already very strong; he just needed some of the Symbiote's abilities, such as breathing in the Universe.

Jeno opened the bottle.

The inside of the bottle was dark and emitted a damp smell.

A silver-white tentacle suddenly shot out and stuck to the mouth of the bottle. Then, the Symbiote slowly crawled out of the bottle and consciously approached Jeno.

Symbiotes are powerful because they can attach their inherent abilities to a host, but when these guys leave their host, they become a puddle of mud with little combat power.

"Hello there, little one." Jeno chuckled, extending a finger to touch the Symbiote.

"Splat."

Like poking play-doh, the liquid instantly attached itself to Jeno's finger, climbed up, and entered Jeno's body, completing the parasitism.

A childish emotion also echoed in Jeno's mind.

"Ying?"

The emotion expressed by this Symbiote was curiosity.

"What's your name?" Jeno asked the Symbiote in his mind.

"Ying?"

The Symbiote expressed confusion, indicating that it had no name.

"Since you don't have a name, I'll give you one." Jenothought for a moment and said, "I'll call you Carnage Shadow."

After all, the Symbiote family likes dark and brutal names, such as "Venom" and "Riot," and the name Carnage Shadow also fits this Symbiote.

"Ying ying ying!"

The Symbiote expressed joy. The moment it attached to Jeno, it learned human culture through some of the host's memories. This name indeed suited its characteristics.

Jeno communicated with the Symbiote for a while and found that this Symbiote greatly admired him.

Because in their Symbiote race's gene pool, there was no existence as powerful as Jeno.

Jeno flicked his wrist, controlling his Symbiote to shoot out a silver "spider silk." Of course, this was just the Symbiote ejecting a part of its body disguised as spider silk.

"What are your abilities?" Jeno asked his Symbiote.

"Ying ying." The Symbiote in his mind excitedly described its abilities.

Simply put, it was devouring and evolving.

For example, eating a person's brain would slightly increase intelligence, and eating a powerful Mutantwould allow the Carnage Shadow Symbiote to learn some of that Mutant's abilities.

"A growth-type Symbiote, huh." Jeno raised an eyebrow, then felt a little regretful: "If only you had followed me earlier."

After all, he had killed so many enemies before, and guys like Kang and Namo could have enhanced Carnage Shadow's strength.

But now those guys had all been turned into specimens, so eating them would be useless.

"Jeno."

Just as Jeno was chatting with the Symbiote in his mind, a knock came at the door. Howard walked into the conference room with documents and went straight to the point: "We have already transported the Vibraniumcannon to Egypt, and it is expected to arrive the day after tomorrow."

Jeno's mind suddenly heard the Symbiote's urgent voice.

"Ying!"

"What? You want to eat his brain?" Jeno's expression was strange, and he quickly stopped the Symbiote's idea: "No, this guy's brain cannot be eaten."

"Ying!"

The Symbiote indicated that this guy's brain smelled incredibly fragrant.

Perhaps smart people's brains just smell good?

In any case, Carnage Shadow was very interested in Howard's brain.

"That's still a no."

Jeno sternly warned the Symbiote without batting an eye that it must not eat anyone's brain in this building without his permission.

"Jeno?"

Howard was still unaware that he had just walked past the gates of hell. He asked in confusion, "Why do I feel like you're a bit distracted today?"

"No, it's nothing."

Jeno regained his composure.

"By the way, Howard, have there been any special movements in your circle of wealthy friends recently?"

Jeno thought of the protesting crowd this morning and the several newspapers. The owners of some of these newspapers were wealthy individuals, and many of them had a good relationship with Howard, often gathering for parties.

And his conversation with the Ancient One not long ago gave Jeno inspiration. The Ancient One said that Earthwould face a disaster, and the source of the disaster came from the three great empires of the Milky Way Galaxy.

So, following this line of reasoning, the recent situation of a group of people spreading rumors about him is very consistent with the Skrulls' modus operandi.

These chameleon-like races can easily disguise themselves and replicate a person's memories.

They often like to infiltrate a Planet, disguise themselves as high-ranking individuals on that Planet, then conspire with each other to fan the flames, eliminate any existence that threatens the Skrulls, exterminate the race on that Planet, and then occupy the Planet.

Therefore, Jeno now highly suspects that this morning's rumor-spreading incident was orchestrated by the Skrulls.

After all, Jeno understood the minds of these U.S. wealthy individuals; they would never dare to provoke him.

"My circle?"

Howard frowned, stroking his Little Mustache in thought: "There hasn't been anything particularly special recently, except that many people have been inviting me to parties. Does that count as a special situation?"

"Parties?" Jeno narrowed his eyes slightly: "Do these people usually invite you often?"

Howard shook his head, saying with a touch of narcissism, "They don't usually invite me much, because I like to throw my own lively parties."

"Yes, Howard, but why would these people suddenly invite you?"

Howard pondered slightly: "You mean?"

After Jeno's hint, he also noticed some irregularities.

Jeno's tone was faint, and he stood up with a smile: "Accept their invitations and have them tell you the location."

"Then, I'll attend with you."

"After all, it's been a long time since I've been to a party."

Howard shivered as he looked at Jeno's smile.

He knew that whenever Jeno showed that kind of smile, it meant someone was about to have bad luck.

"I'll contact them right away."

Chapter 125: What, a party without me?

Howard acted quickly, using S.W.O.R.D.'s phone to contact a wealthy man named Booker and express his desire to attend the gathering.

Booker, on the other end of the line, was very excited by the news and insisted that Howard must attend.

Howard hung up the phone and gave Jeno a wry smile: "It seems you were right, Jeno, they're not right."

Howard knew his own personality well—sarcastic and arrogant. The surrounding rich people had always kept their distance from him, but today they were incredibly welcoming.

As he spoke, Howard nervously said, "Jeno, you absolutely have to stay with me!"

"Don't worry, Howard, we're friends. I'll go with you."

Jeno smiled and walked towards his Vibranium battle armor.

The silver-white armor, crafted from Vibranium, slowly closed around him. Jeno whispered, "Carnage Shadow, mask!"

"Ying!"

Before he finished speaking, a silver-white helmet, formed by the Symbiote, enveloped Jeno, creating a high-tech silver mask.

The Cloak of Levitation hung behind him, fluttering without wind.

"Let's go, Howard." Jeno looked up. The Symbiote inside his armor shot out several 'webs' that wrapped around Howard. Then, Jeno took Howard and flew towards the party location.

"Wait, what's this thing on my waist?"

Howard, already accustomed to being carried through the sky by Jeno, looked at the Symbiote covering him.

The sticky sensation sent shivers down Howard's spine.

"This is another one of my partners. You can call him Symbiote."

"Symbiote?" The strong wind rushed past his ears, and Howard shouted with a strange expression, "You're getting more and more bizarre things on you!"

First, the Cloak of Levitation that could change into any shape, and now a strange Symbiote. If Jeno were to become a god someday, Howard wouldn't even be surprised.

Booker's Villa was located in the suburbs of Washington. Jeno flew high in the sky, with tall buildings flashing by below. Soon, the two arrived at Booker's Villa.

"We're here."

Jeno stared at the Villa below. The road outside the Villawas filled with countless luxury cars. Inside the spacious mansion, many blonde women hovered around groups of men old enough to be their fathers.

"Hmm, let's go. We'll go down and say hello." Jenochuckled, and the two flew downwards.

However, Jeno's speed was getting faster and faster.

"Wait! You're not thinking of...!" Howard's face showed an expression of utter despair.

"Of course. Carnage Shadow, wrap this guy up."

The next second, the Symbiote shot out more webs, cocooning Howard into a large bundle.

"Shit!"

Howard let out a scream.

Then!

"Boom!"

Two blurs slammed into the Villa's ceiling, shattering stones and kicking up a large cloud of dust.

The surrounding guests were startled by the sudden scene, and many instinctively reached for the items at their waists.

Many people instinctively looked at Booker, who was at the head, but the man just shook his head, signaling everyone not to act rashly.

As the smoke and dust dissipated, a towering figure appeared before everyone, forming a stark contrast with Howard, who was coughing beside him.

"Ho-Homelander?" Booker looked at the silver armor, the familiar red cape, and the bright, cheerful smile, feeling as if his heart was gripped by an invisible hand.

He roared inwardly, how could Homelander be here?

The man's gaze swept over Howard. Could it be that this guy had brought Homelander?!

Without time to think, Booker said with a gentle smile, "Mr. Homelander, I never imagined you would grace our party. It is truly an immense honor!"

Jeno smiled, staring at the man in front of him. This somewhat portly fellow wore a fawning smile, but no matter how well he hid it, Jeno could see the panic and fear in his eyes!

Because the persona he had painstakingly cultivated was perfect, ordinary people were always happy to see him and would ask for photos and autographs. But this guy looked as if he had seen the plague. Jeno disliked this attitude very much.

"Mr. Booker, wait, are you trembling?"

Jeno smiled, slowly walking towards the man. He didn't hold back the strength in his feet; with every step, the Vibranium boots left a cracked footprint on the concrete floor.

"What are you afraid of?"

Jeno's gaze swept over everyone in the room. Through his x-ray vision, he could easily see the kinetic energy pistols tucked into their waistbands.

And such an advanced, terrifying weapon could not possibly be owned by a group of wealthy individuals.

"Is it because you're having a party and didn't invite me?" Jeno approached Mr. Booker, looking down at the man, placing a hand lightly on his shoulder, his tone chilling: "Or rather, are you all not human at all?"

As his words fell, Mr. Booker's face changed dramatically. He almost shrieked, "Act! We've been exposed!"

The next second, many people in the living room drew their guns from their waists and pulled the triggers at Jeno. Various colored lasers hit Jeno, making sizzling sounds.

These kinetic energy pistols could not cause even a scratch of damage to Jeno.

"Howard."

Jeno looked at Howard, who was protected by the Symbiote: "Crouch down."

Howard quickly crouched down, but the next second, a scorching heat swept over his head. Howard watched in surprise as a red light swept across the Villa, cutting everything in its path in half.

Jeno simply used his Heat Vision to make a single pass, slicing the entire Villa and all the standing people in half.

"Gasp, gasp!"

Mr. Booker's eyes widened in horror as he watched his upper body slowly separate from his lower limbs, falling to the ground, eyes wide in death.

"Jeno, why did you..." Howard looked at the corpses strewn across the floor with a complex expression, but before he could finish his sentence, he saw many bodies twisting continuously. The next second, these human faces twisted and transformed into green-skinned, sharp-mouthed, monkey-faced alien creatures.

"Wh-what are these things!" Howard jumped in fright. He had never imagined it was a room full of alien creatures disguised as humans.

Howard's gaze swept over a few green-skinned aliens wearing red dresses, and he couldn't help but retch. He vaguely remembered having rolled in the sheets with a few of those beautiful women.

"Jeno, quickly tell me what these guys are."

Howard's face was pale. He desperately needed an answer to comfort his fragile mind.

"Relax, Howard."

"They're not sick. They're Skrulls, from one of the three great empires of the Universe."

"And I suspect these people were only recently replaced, so you haven't had any cross-Planet relations with these Skrulls."

While comforting Howard, Jeno turned his gaze to the guy hiding behind a sofa nearby.

When he had used his Heat Vision to slaughter the Skrulls earlier, this lucky fellow had crouched behind the sofa and escaped unharmed.

"You, get over here." Jeno smiled, speaking to the man behind the sofa.

Chapter 126: Apocalypse's Whereabouts

Werner was a Skrull who, along with his companions, had gone to Earth last week as an advance party to infiltrate and lie in wait.

They believed this Planet, like other Planets, was merely a backward technological Planet.

And as they expected, Earth's technology was indeed very backward; they couldn't even achieve Universetravel.

However, on this Earth, there was a guy named Jeno Wilson, who was hailed as a god of human realm, possessing terrifying and formidable strength, so much so that even the Skrulls felt a sense of dread upon seeing him.

If they wanted to successfully annex Earth, then this trouble had to be resolved.

Based on their analysis of Jeno, they discovered that this person was an exceptionally kind individual who loved humans.

Therefore, the Skrulls secretly replaced all high-ranking government officials in this country, planning to execute a scheme of discord to make Jeno a public enemy of humanity, forcing him to commit suicide.

Infiltrating Jeno's inner circle was also part of the plan; they first targeted the playboy Howard, because this guy was the most boisterous among Jeno's friends.

It was just a pity that this team of Skrulls was still too young; they failed to see through Jeno's disguise, and Jeno even sought them out, exposing their whereabouts.

"Long live the Skrull Empire!"

The guy hiding behind the sofa immediately pulled out a kinetic gun and aimed it at his head; as a Skrull warrior, he knew that in this situation, he had to commit suicide to prevent intelligence leaks.

But Jeno's speed was far quicker than his; this Skrull hadn't even reacted to what was happening when the Symbiote on Jeno's body suddenly shot out a web, snatching away the kinetic gun from his hand, then, like a whip, struck the Skrull's neck, instantly knocking the guy unconscious.

Howard, standing by, watched the Skrull roll his eyes and fall to the ground, his expression stiffening involuntarily; the sight of it looked painful.

Having successfully captured a live target, the next step was simple: take this guy back, give him a few boxes of truth serum, and he would surely reveal even how many crushes he had had.

"I never thought the Skrulls would invade Earth at this time."

Jeno was somewhat annoyed; Apocalypse's matter hadn't been resolved yet, and now the Skrulls had popped up.

"Let's go, we're heading back."

Jeno gestured for Howard to get ready, and the next second, the Symbiote wrapped around Howard and the unconscious Skrull, returning to S.W.O.R.D.

After handing the Skrull over to Claire for interrogation, Jeno had barely settled down when he received news from Steve and the others.

"Boss, we found traces of the Mutant you mentioned in Egypt; he appeared at an Underground Room fighting arena and took someone away."

"That fast?" Jeno raised an eyebrow; it seemed Apocalypse had already begun searching for his Four Horsemen.

"We can't let this guy gather all four Horsemen."

As the saying goes, what your enemy wants to do, you must prevent him from accomplishing.

"I'll be right there."

Jeno hung up the phone and looked at Howard:

"Howard, keep your phone on at all times."

Howard nodded quickly, honestly, he was also a human supremacist and didn't want any Mutants lording over humanity: "I will fully cooperate with you, Jeno."

Egypt.

An Underground Room fighting arena in a slum.

Outside the blood-soaked octagon cage, Steve and his group stood, while the owner of the fighting arena looked at the three men nervously.

The story began not long ago when his subordinates had arranged for Mutants to fight, but suddenly a blue-skinned man burst in, rescued the Mutant in the cage, and then killed all the humans present.

Upon hearing the news, he rushed over, but before he could even deal with the bodies, he was blocked by another group of people.

And they claimed to be The Boys from S.W.O.R.D., clearly not individuals to be trifled with.

"These people died a painful death."

Steve's face was solemn as he stared at the ground beneath his feet; arms were buried in the sand, these people had been pressed to death in the mud by someone with superpowers.

"Peh, a crazy Mutant."

Viktor spat, cursing; this godforsaken place with its constant sandstorms was absolutely terrible.

"When will Boss arrive?" Wolverine extended his Adamantium Talon and lightly tapped the iron cage; he was already eager to witness the strength of the so-called strongest Mutant.

Before his words finished, a familiar boom came from overhead, and violent airflow stirred up gusts of sand.

This method of entry, descending from the sky and breaking through the window, already proved the identity of the newcomer.

"Cough, cough, cough!"

Everyone inhaled a mouthful of sand, and a figure slowly emerged from the sand mist.

"What? Already impatient?" Jeno walked out with his hands behind his back, clad in a Vibranium battle suit, his cape billowing without wind, dispelling the surrounding dust.

Jeno scanned the fighting arena, his gaze falling on the only ordinary person in the arena.

The man with a receding hairline stared blankly at Jeno: "Homelander?"

"It's me, my friend, hello there." Jeno grinned and patted the man's shoulder: "It's dangerous here, leave."

His reputation had even reached Egypt; Jeno was quite pleased about this.

"Okay, Homelander." The man quickly nodded and left.

After the man left, Jeno looked at Steve: "Tell me, what happened."

Steve began to explain that a day earlier, Apocalypse had come here, rescued a Mutant, and left.

"Hmm, just as I thought, Apocalypse is searching the World for his followers."

Jeno chuckled.

Steve quickly asked: "What should we do now? We can't let him kill more innocent people."

"No need to rush, I have a plan." Jeno smiled confidently.

Since they couldn't find where Apocalypse had gone, they might as well let Apocalypse come to them.

As a former Pharaoh, Apocalypse was undoubtedly proud.

So, by destroying his most cherished Pyramid, they could enrage Apocalypse.

This act would be like destroying a otaku's treasured figurine, enough to drive someone to mad anger.

"Follow me."

Jeno led everyone out of the Underground Room, then slowly ascended into the sky under everyone's gaze.

In their sight, Jeno rose higher and higher, eventually becoming a black dot in the sky, then a scorching beam of light streaked across the sky and landed on a massive Pyramid.

The Pyramid, built of stone bricks, could not withstand the terrifying high temperature and was instantly melted and shattered by the intense heat.

The heat ray did not stop, continuously sweeping all the Pyramids in the area, turning them into ruins.

Everyone watched in shock as one towering Pyramid after another suddenly collapsed.

They hadn't expected that the boss's plan was to destroy all the Pyramids to lure Apocalypse out.

"Boom!"

As the last Pyramid collapsed, Jeno slowly landed, hands behind his back, admiring his masterpiece.

He believed it wouldn't be long before this news appeared on headlines around the World.

And now, all that was left was to wait for the enraged Apocalypse to deliver himself to them.

Chapter 127: Punch After Punch

The day after Jeno bombed the Pyramid, the news quickly made it to the front page.

"Shocking! U.S. god of human realm bombs Pyramid, is this a moral decay or a distortion of human nature?"

"god of human realm bombs Pyramid, what conspiracy lies within?"

A series of such reports emerged endlessly, sweeping across the World.

Meanwhile, in a tavern in Barcelona, Mediterranean, not far from Egypt, Shaw and a few Mutants gathered around Apocalypse, who was cloaked.

At this moment, many people in the tavern were watching the screen of the only television set.

The host's voice echoed through the tavern from the TV: "According to reports, the U.S. god of human realmtraveled to Egypt yesterday and destroyed dozens of Pyramids. We still do not know the motive of this god of human realm."

"However, one thing is certain: if this god of human realmtruly loses control, then who in the World can stop him?"

The clear words fell on Apocalypse's ears, and his hand, holding a cup, paused in mid-air. A hint of surprise appeared on Apocalypse's pale gray face, followed by extreme anger.

"Bang!"

Apocalypse slammed his fist heavily on the bar counter.

Everyone in the tavern looked over in surprise.

"Damn bug, daring to destroy the symbol of kingship!" Apocalypse clenched his fist. The next second, the surrounding sand turned into a Shadow, sweeping through the tavern. When the sand dissipated, the surrounding patrons had all their throats slit by Apocalypse and fell into pools of blood.

Shaw, who was nearby, immediately fanned the flames:

"Great God, this is Jeno Wilson's provocation to you!"

Apocalypse was already furious. As an Egyptian pharaoh, Jeno blowing up his tomb was like two slaps across his face, making Apocalypse feel a burning pain in his cheeks. Shaw's words were like pouring oil on a Fire.

At this moment, Apocalypse's face was a little green with anger, and he immediately decided to go to Egypt to settle accounts with Jeno.

As for his Four Horsemen of Apocalypse?

Although he had only found one, it wouldn't delay him from crushing that damned bug first before settling accounts with Jeno.

"Follow me!"

Apocalypse waved his big hand, and the few people instantly followed Apocalypse, slowly floating into the sky, flying towards the direction of Egypt.

Shaw, hiding behind Apocalypse, could barely contain his laughter. He had thought it would take some time for revenge, but he didn't expect Jeno to court death by provoking Apocalypse. Now it was good; he could completely sit back and watch the tigers fight, seeing Jeno and Apocalypse both suffer, and if possible, he would backstab Jeno when he was weak!

Apocalypse maintained a fast speed with his telekinesis. The few people continuously accelerated, and the ocean and houses below them rapidly receded. They quickly saw the Pyramids, now ruins in the distant wind and sand.

Apocalypse opened his mouth, just about to say something about revenge.

"Wait! My God, what is that?"

Shaw's words interrupted what Apocalypse wanted to say.

The man slowly raised his head, only to hear a muffled thunderclap. A Shadow flew towards them at an uncatchable speed, rushing towards Apocalypse with an irresistible momentum.

Apocalypse didn't even have time to answer, subconsciously opening a purple energy barrier.

The next second!

"Boom!"

The Shadow crashed into the barrier at an extremely fast speed. Apocalypse hadn't even realized what had happened when he felt a sharp pain in his chest. This was a feeling he had never experienced since becoming a Mutant. The previously indestructible purple barrier shattered with this punch.

The next second, under the gaze of the people on the ground, Apocalypse fell from the sky like a meteor, heavily smashing into the desert, leaving a giant crater and kicking up a large cloud of dust, his fate unknown.

And the many Mutants who had lost their telekinetic support also plummeted towards the desert, but Jeno's speed was much faster than their falling speed.

Ignoring the group of small fries, Jeno slowly floated in mid-air, falling alongside the plummeting Shaw.

"Sebastian Shaw, long time no see." Jeno stared at Shaw with a mocking expression.

"Jeno!" Shaw's face was filled with hatred. He had guessed that the other party would appear here, but he didn't expect this guy to ambush him without a word.

"Heh heh, this is our second meeting since you betrayed Kang last time."

"Now, let's settle the score!"

Jeno slowly raised his bulging arm, like a boxer, and fiercely punched Shaw.

"Bang!"

The fist slammed into Shaw's body, and the next instant, terrifying power exploded within Shaw's body.

"Damn it!"

Shaw's face changed drastically. He activated his Mutantability the moment Jeno's fist landed, and his body continuously flickered and twisted, absorbing the kinetic energy and power generated by Jeno's punch.

"Damn it, too, too much!" Shaw never expected Jeno's ordinary punch to contain such terrifying power, and he immediately felt a severe tearing pain throughout his body.

"Ah!"

His body glowed with an eerie red light, clearly having absorbed too much kinetic energy and even reaching a bottleneck!

"Give it back to you!"

Shaw roared, slamming his right fist violently at Jeno.

Absorbing the kinetic energy of Jeno's punch, Shaw's punch created a terrifying sonic boom, rapidly smashing towards Jeno's face.

"Using my power against me?"

Jeno chuckled, meeting the punch without hesitation.

"Bang!"

Fists collided with a muffled thud, but that wasn't the end. Jeno's fists continuously swung out, creating countless afterimages that continuously struck Shaw.

"Bang bang bang!"

Under the rapid bombardment, Shaw's face gradually turned livid and pale.

"No, no!"

He was horrified to discover that the kinetic energy continuously generated by Jeno's fists had exceeded his body's tolerance limit. The power he absorbed was far less than the power Jeno unleashed. It was like an overloaded circuit board; if this continued, he would die!

But upon hearing Shaw's plea, Jeno merely smiled indifferently, revealing a cheerful grin, and winked at Shaw like an old friend: "Apologizing now? Too late. Go to hell and keep Kang company!"

As his words fell, Jeno's fist suddenly swung in a wide circle and then slammed heavily into Shaw's head.

"Splat!"

A tremendous force surged into Shaw's body once more.

"Ah!"

The man let out a mournful wail. His body glowed with an eerie red light, so much so that even ordinary people could see the blood vessels and organs beneath his skin.

"Bang!"

As if reaching a critical point, Shaw's body could not withstand Jeno's terrifying power. In the next instant, it exploded like a blood-red flower, internal organs accompanied by shattered bones bursting open in mid-air, like a localized blood rain falling on the desert, adding a few touches of bloody atmosphere to the air.

"And you all."

After dealing with the fool Shaw, Jeno's eyes shot out Heat Vision, successively targeting and killing the few Mutants falling from the sky.

Steve and the others on the ground looked bitter at Jeno's act of single-handedly eliminating numerous enemies. They had once again become mascots, witnessing Jeno's battle, and they were already accustomed to this situation.

Meanwhile, a few Egyptian herders not far away watched the battle happening above their heads with shocked expressions. Some, not knowing the truth, even knelt on the ground and kowtowed towards the sky.

Chapter 128: Killing Me?

A tearing pain ripped through Apocalypse's chest, and shame and fury gnawed at his heart.

He heard the agonizing screams of his Mutantsubordinates, and the sizzling sound of their bodies being sliced apart by Heat Vision.

At the bottom of the desert crater, Apocalypse struggled to his feet, boundless killing intent surging across his grey face.

He looked up at the towering figure in the sky, clenching his fists: "You have angered a god!"

"Jeno Wilson!" Apocalypse roared, his body slowly floating into the air until he was level with Jeno: "You tiny insect!"

"How dare a lowly ant kill noble Mutants?"

"Do you know what I am trying to do? I want to establish a kingdom where Mutants reign supreme, yet you have killed my brethren!"

Apocalypse slowly raised both hands, and the surrounding sand, summoned, slowly floated into the air, swirling around him. The boundless sand even easily obscured vision, plunging the entire World into gloomy darkness.

Apocalypse looked down at Jeno, his voice low: "Today, you must die!"

"New Mission: Kill Apocalypse!"

"Reward: Upgrade the X-ray vision ability to 'Demonic Insight'."

"You can identify the biological level of creatures and their abilities!"

The system's long-unheard, cold voice echoed in Jeno's mind.

Able to identify biological levels and abilities? Wouldn't this talent be a powerful weapon against the Skrulls?

Suddenly, Jeno's gaze towards Apocalypse became a little fervent. He hadn't expected Apocalypse to deliver such a boon at the brink of death. This was truly a good person; if anyone ever called Apocalypse a tyrant again, Jeno would be the first to disagree.

However, despite being grateful to Apocalypse for triggering the system mission, to receive the system's reward, Apocalypse still had to die.

Seeing Apocalypse floating in the air, about to say something more,

Jeno stood with his arms crossed, silently watching the enraged Apocalypse, interrupting him: "Are the weaklings' barks finished?"

He twisted his neck and lightly flexed his wrists:

"If you're done, then let me send you on your way!"

The next second, both men attacked almost simultaneously.

"Hmph!" Apocalypse grunted, and countless grains of sand transformed into sharp sand spears, striking at Jeno.

The overwhelming sand spears seemed endless, continuously smashing into Jeno.

"I am Apocalypse, I am the strongest Mutant!"

Apocalypse's voice was fervent, each wave of his hand sending a large volley of sand spears crashing into the towering figure.

"Boom!"

The sharp sand spears struck Jeno's steel body, unable to even make him retreat a single step.

Looking at the countless incoming sand spears, Jenosighed, his eyes glowing red. The familiar Heat Vision, like a sharp light saber, cut through all the incoming sand spears, while he unhurriedly flew towards Apocalypse, his tone playful: "I thought your ability was strong, but it's just manipulating sand?"

Jeno was a little disappointed. It seemed this World's Apocalypse was the movie version, and his strength wasn't very high.

Apocalypse glared furiously at Jeno. As a superhuman, even thousands of meters away, he could hear Jeno's voice.

"Die!"

Facing Jeno's disdain,

Apocalypse subconsciously increased his power, demonstrating more abilities. A large ball of Fire gathered in his arm, striking at Jeno.

"Buzz!"

Heat Vision collided with the Fire, stirring up another wave of scorching Tide.

From the perspective of Steve and the others in the desert, they could only see two blurry figures clashing, Heat Vision and sand spears constantly intertwining and scorching.

Apocalypse laboriously controlled his abilities to attack Jeno, while searching for an opportunity to observe Jeno's condition.

Then, Apocalypse saw Jeno maintaining the Heat Vision's energy consumption with his eyes, while simultaneously pulling out what appeared to be a communication device from his hand: "Is that thing ready?"

"If it's ready, activate it!"

Apocalypse didn't have time to ponder what Jeno was saying.

The next second!

"Boom!"

A deep blue beam of light struck from afar, carrying a terrifying, annihilating aura of destruction, instantly engulfing Apocalypse.

The extreme speed didn't even give Apocalypse time to react.

The terrifying energy, created by the Tesseract, seemed to melt this World. All the sand instantly vanished into thin air upon contact with the energy.

The continuous beam of light buried Apocalypse's figure, and the surrounding desert was also destroyed under the violent cosmic energy.

"What, what is that thing!" Viktor looked on in shock at the blue beam of light falling from the sky. Even from a distance, he could feel the destructive energy contained within it.

"It's the Vibranium cannon, a terrifying weapon Jeno had Howard and two other scientists develop together."

Steve looked up at the sky with a complex expression. He knew Howard must have brought the Vibranium cannon to the future tech spaceship Kang had left behind, as only that spaceship could withstand the recoil and stability of the Vibranium cannon when it fired.

"This, it's simply too terrifying."

Wolverine watched the cosmic energy gradually extinguish, and at the point of impact, only a bottomless giant pit, emitting thick black smoke, remained.

Jeno floated into the giant pit. A strange, indescribable smell permeated the air around him, and at the center of the pit lay a charred body.

Upon closer inspection, the once arrogant and boastful Apocalypse lay naked in the pit, his body completely blackened. Clearly, the cosmic energy had easily destroyed his body and every single cell and tissue.

With all his Water evaporated, Apocalypse now resembled a shriveled mummy, only his rotating eyeballs proving he was still alive.

Apocalypse was currently holding on to his last breath, sustained solely by the Mutant abilities he had absorbed over centuries.

The man laboriously turned his eyes, a base emotion showing in his gaze, as if accusing Jeno of fighting unfairly.

He had expected a fierce, exhilarating battle to the death, but never thought his opponent would pull out a cosmic energy cannon to blast him.

"Heh heh, Apocalypse?" Jeno stood with his hands on his hips, looking at Apocalypse.

The next second.

Jeno's eyes glowed red.

"In your next life, remember to stay far away from me!"

"Buzz!"

The great En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse, died.

Jeno's Heat Vision became the final straw that broke Apocalypse's life.

Head separated from neck, looking at the charred corpse, the Symbiote within Jeno popped out a line of tentacles and coiled around Apocalypse's head.

It knew its host had a habit of collecting enemies' heads, and this was to alleviate the host's worries, while Carnage Shadow somewhat hoped Jeno would praise it.

Jeno, of course, didn't have time to praise Carnage Shadow; he was busy checking his evolved ability.

"Mission completed."

"Upgraded Super Sight, gained Demonic Insight ability."

Jeno focused his gaze on Apocalypse's corpse, and a transparent light screen quickly popped up before his eyes.

"Name: En Sabah Nur."

"Race: Mutant."

"Biological Level: 4."

"Not a bad ability." Jeno commented, then glanced at the deep pit, and immediately flew out without lingering.

"Jeno!"

Seeing Jeno emerge, everyone rushed to meet him: "How are things?"

Jeno glanced at everyone, smiled, and said: "Relax, my friends, Apocalypse is dead!"

Chapter 129: Souls Beneath the Vibranium Cannon

One week after Jeno appeared in Egypt.

The terrifying energy beams that descended from the sky alarmed various factions. At the same time, Jeno's destruction of countless Pyramids was criticized by various international organizations, stating that Jeno had destroyed the treasures of human civilization.

It was as if by saying so, Jeno would admit his mistake and apologize.

However, Jeno's reaction to this was to ignore it. He didn't care about these mouthpieces, manipulated by those behind the scenes to attack him. If words were powerful, then what was the point of force?

Jeno had always been tolerant of the weak's barking.

"Hehe, a bunch of idiots."

At this moment, on the seventh floor of S.W.O.R.D., Natasha turned off the news report and spoke up for Jeno: "What do those guys know? If we didn't use this method to lure Apocalypse out, that crazy Mutant would only cause more misery."

"Calm down, my dear Natasha." Jeno moved away from the window sill, turned around, wrapped his arm around his female companion's slender waist, and sat her on a chair.

"A strong person always has to endure some ridiculous slanders, it's not about right or wrong, is it?"

Jeno's expression was faint, his gaze passing through the window to the protesting crowd downstairs.

Since he returned from Egypt, the protesting crowd around S.W.O.R.D. had clearly grown larger.

There was an invisible hand silently pushing all of this.

"Boss, we have gathered all Agents in the bureau." Clairepushed open the door and walked into the conference room, glancing at Natasha sitting on Jeno's lap.

A hint of envy flashed in the woman's eyes. She also wanted to be like Natasha, but unfortunately, Jeno had no interest in her, even though her daily black stockings and hip-hugging skirt were enough to charm every man in the bureau, they couldn't attract Jeno's attention at all.

"Everyone's here? Let's go then."

Jeno motioned for Natasha to get off his lap and led the two women into the elevator.

The elevator ran smoothly, arriving at the first basement level.

As the elevator doors opened, S.W.O.R.D. Agents stood in formation within the massive underground Base.

"Jeno, all our people are here." Peggy walked down to Jeno: "Except for Steve, they are guarding the President's safety at the White House."

To be honest, Peggy was a little confused. Why did Jenowant to gather all the Agents? Each Agent was quite busy, after all.

Jeno smiled indifferently. He could naturally see Peggy's new confusion, but he had no intention of explaining. He simply walked to the second-floor iron railing at the highest point, clapped his hands to attract everyone's attention.

"Agents of S.W.O.R.D., I have gathered you here today to show you some good things."

Jeno's tone was playful, his gaze sweeping over the S.W.O.R.D. Agents below.

"Name: Adam Burns."

"Race: Human."

"Biological Level: 1."

Most of the Agents had a Biological Level of one.

However, when Jeno's gaze passed over the first row and moved to the second row, the 'Race' column for one shorter Agent read 'Skrull' with a Biological Level of 2.

This meant his guess was completely correct; the Skrullshad already begun to infiltrate his S.W.O.R.D.

Even observing these disguised human organs through his x-ray vision, they were indistinguishable from ordinary people. The Skrulls' ability could even extract the memories of the copied individual, which made their infiltration and Lurk even easier.

"Rex Mod." Jeno called out the Skrull's name.

Instantly, many Agents cast discreet glances at "Rex."

Could it be that their colleague's excellent work was about to earn him a promotion from Jeno?

The person called out displayed an appropriately surprised and happy expression, as if being called by Jenowas a great honor.

Seeing this person's reaction, Jeno couldn't help but sigh in his heart that Skrulls were natural spies.

"Hmm, let me see." Jeno continued to scan the crowd, slowly saying:

"Also, Bacon Rambo."

"Fatlek Yaris."

Jeno called out a few more names, bringing out all the Skrull spies hidden within the Agent team.

Now, the expressions of these few people became a bit unsettled. If only one person had been singled out, perhaps everyone wouldn't have cared, thinking it was just for an award or something.

But Jeno had only called out the three of them.

A bad premonition arose in the hearts of the three.

"It is my honor to inform you that you are under arrest."

Hearing Jeno's words, the three immediately realized they had been exposed.

One of them instinctively reached for his waist, intending to draw his kinetic gun and fight to the death with the Agents here.

Jeno chuckled: "Natasha, take them down!"

The next second, a figure suddenly appeared behind the three, and the Widow's Sting, which transmitted electrical energy, shot from her wrist, striking their necks. A terrifying current surged into their bodies. Even the Skrulls' powerful bodies couldn't withstand such a large-scale electrical attack, and they quickly fell to the ground, foaming at the mouth, twitching, and unconscious.

Everyone present was shocked, not yet understanding what had happened, when they saw the three figures on the ground flash, their faces twisting and transforming into three hideous alien creatures.

"This!"

Everyone's eyes widened, finding it hard to believe that aliens had infiltrated their ranks!?

"Everyone." Jeno chuckled, leaning on the railing and staring at the crowd: "It is my honor to inform you."

"We now have a terrifying enemy, called the Skrulls."

"They can infiltrate and disguise themselves as your familiar relatives, friends, or even partners."

"So from now on, S.W.O.R.D. will be on Level One combat readiness. Any mission must be carried out by three people."

Listening to Jeno's words, the Agents nodded in agreement with their boss's idea. Looking at the three aliens on the ground, everyone felt a chill of fear. If Jenohadn't discovered them early, S.W.O.R.D. might have eventually been infiltrated and replaced by these Skrulls.

"Now, meeting adjourned." Jeno waved his hand, signaling everyone to go to work, and at the same time gave orders to several Agents: "Take these three guys to Dr. Erskine for research."

As early as the Villa incident, Jeno had captured a Skrull and sent it to Erskine for research.

But now with three more living specimens, he believed it would greatly accelerate Erskine's research and understanding of Skrull DNA.

"I never thought that alien spies had infiltrated our organization." Peggy walked up to Jeno, a little emotional.

"Hehe, these are just small fry, Peggy."

Jeno said mysteriously: "Remember the increasing number of protesters recently?"

Peggy frowned: "Are you saying?"

Jeno sneered:

"That's right, I suspect that most of those politicians might have also been infiltrated and replaced by Skrulls."

Peggy was a little anxious: "What should we do?"

If the Skrulls' plan succeeded, then Earth would be the Skrulls' Earth, with no place for humans.

"Don't worry, Peggy." Jeno toyed with the kinetic pistol in his hand: "I will find those little mice hiding in the Shadow and hang them all!"

Chapter 130: A Conspiracy

Washington's daily life remained calm and uneventful. Protesters, as usual, gathered at the S.W.O.R.D.headquarters, criticizing Jeno's atrocities in Egypt.

But beneath this storm, a deeper conspiracy was brewing.

One day after the three Skrulls infiltrating S.W.O.R.D.were exposed.

In a dimly lit room, a group of prominent figures and politicians gathered.

"Glavis, we need to take action. The three comrades who recently infiltrated S.W.O.R.D. have lost contact. You know what that means."

A brown-haired Black woman tapped the table, staring disapprovingly at the man at the head of the table, who wore a cynical expression.

The man, though reprimanded, showed no anger. His face gradually twisted and deformed, transforming into the image of a green-skinned Skrull.

Just as Asians might find it difficult to distinguish European faces, to humans, these Skrulls all looked almost identical, all green-skinned beings.

The Skrull named Glavis shook his head and said, "Relax, Priscilla. Since the Queen tasked me with this infiltration, I naturally have my own plans."

Priscilla said, without any sign of weakness, "No matter what your plan is, the rest of us have the right to know your thoughts!"

"Since you decided to target Jeno Wilson, we've already lost dozens of excellent warriors."

"Perhaps we have the right to suspect that dealing with Jeno first was a mistake."

The female Skrull's words successfully ignited the man's anger. He coldly glanced at the brown-haired woman: "Priscilla, you have no right to criticize me. As the Deputy Commander, what have you done?"

"Flirting with a low-ranking Nigger from the Strategic Scientific Reserve?"

"Someone who's in love with a monkey has no right to question my decisions!"

"You!" Priscilla angrily tapped the table: "I was infiltrating the Strategic Scientific Reserve's upper echelons to gather intelligence, to find out how Jeno Wilson became so powerful!"

Glavis sneered: "Haha, so you found an unknown nobody named Fury? Perhaps he doesn't even have the authorization to access archives, let alone for you to extract information from him."

Hearing Glavis's words, Priscilla's face darkened: "You sent people to follow me?"

The man shook his head: "Haha, don't misunderstand, Priscilla, it's just that your performance truly doesn't live up to your position!"

As the tension between the two Skrulls grew, the surrounding Skrulls all lowered their heads, fearing they might attract the attention of the two powerful figures and suffer collateral damage.

The atmosphere was silent. Eventually, Priscilla took a deep breath to calm herself, then stared coldly at Glavis: "I won't argue with you. I'm asking you about our next plan, how to resolve the threat of Jeno Wilson!"

Hearing the woman's words, the surrounding Skrullsimmediately looked up at Glavis. To be honest, they also wanted to know what the next plan was.

Glavis sneered: "It's simple. I've already dispatched a team to that sleeping polar bear."

He stood up, sneering as he looked at the World map in the room: "Soon, we will ignite a new World War. Just wait and see."

"Humans will eventually destroy themselves. On this point, I have a profound understanding!"

"As long as we eliminate most of the humans on this Planet, even if it's a war of attrition, we can use human wave tactics to wear down that god of human realm!"

Then, Glavis looked at his subordinate in the corner and said, "Go notify our partners in the White House."

"Activate the 'Godfall' plan!"

"It's time to let the god of human realm feel fear!"

White House.

Steve and his two companions, who had recently returned from the desert, once again arrived at the familiar White House. Smiling and greeting the guards, the three gathered in a small room not far from the President's office to play cards.

This habit was something they had learned from Jeno.

To be honest, days on duty at the White House were quite boring. After all, the President rarely left the White House, at most holding some press conferences on the White House lawn, perfectly illustrating the idea that the President was merely a puppet.

"Double Kings, I win!" Viktor played his hand, winning this round, and happily took 10 U.S. dollars from Steve and Logan's table.

The three were about to start another round, but suddenly, they all stopped their actions.

"Wait, did you hear something?"

All three were superhumans, so they could naturally hear footsteps coming from outside the room.

Although those people deliberately slowed their steps, the three still heard the faint sounds of their boots on the concrete floor.

Then came the sound of firearms being cocked.

"Someone is approaching here."

"They want to kill us!"

The three exchanged glances, and the next second they acted in perfect coordination. Wolverine and his companion roared, smashing through the door, while the attackers outside clearly hadn't expected their targets to react.

"Fire!"

Since the infiltration failed, they might as well fight openly!

Several men in suits immediately drew strangely shaped pistols and fired at Logan and his companion.

The colorful lasers, carrying scorching energy, struck the two brothers, tearing away large chunks of flesh.

"Roar!"

Ignoring the pain in their chests, Logan and Viktor bared their sharp Talons, roaring as they pounced on the nearest enemies.

The Adamantium Talons easily slit their opponents' throats, splattering large amounts of dark green blood. The men in suits quickly transformed into Skrullappearances.

More and more Skrulls pulled their triggers on the two brothers, the fierce laser fire weaving together to form a line of fire, blocking Logan and his companion's advance.

"Damn it, these guys aren't human, Steve, move!"

As the words fell, the small room was instantly engulfed by a massive orange glow.

"Ah!"

A scorching orange light beam emanated from Steve's chest. The intense energy swept across the White Houselawn, melting all the assassins who had surrounded the three!

The energy source in his chest extinguished, and Stevecollapsed to the ground like a fish out of Water: "Huff, huff, we must leave here immediately, the people here are not right!"

Logan and Viktor nodded repeatedly. It seemed the White House guards had been replaced by a mysterious alien race at some point.

The top priority was to leave here and go to S.W.O.R.D. to find Jeno and explain the situation.

"You're not going anywhere!"

A voice suddenly rang out from behind the three.

"Buzz!"

The next second, a giant blue barrier rose, encapsulating the three.

A Skrull played with a remote control device in his hand: "This is our Skrull technology's Iron Curtain Defense Net, enough to contain you three freaks."

A mocking expression appeared in the Skrull's eyes: "Before our plan succeeds, you'll stay here as mascots!"

With that, the Skrull pressed the remote control, and the protective shield containing the three instantly became invisible. To outsiders, Steve and his two companions within the shield also vanished simultaneously.
