ARIA
My feet were rooted to the ground as I gazed down at Cassie in stunned silence. Several thoughts wandered into my head all at once, while thinking of what was wrong with her and why she had fallen until I heard her groan and the warning in her voice.
"Leave here, at once." She said.
That pulled me out of the trance I was in, and I ran to her. I crouched, turning her over, and a gasp flew out of my mouth.
"B…Blood. Cassie, you're bleeding!" I screeched, my shaking fingers splayed on her stomach, pressing into the wounded area to stop the bleeding.
"What happened?" I managed to say, looking at her pale face and terror-filled eyes.
"You need to run. Don't worry about me." She wheezed. Cassie tried to push my hand away, and I swatted it, adding more pressure to the wound.
"What the hell are you talking about, and why shouldn't I worry?!" I snapped. I knew this would happen. I wasn't paranoid for nothing!
"They're coming, Aria." She whispered, her voice fading.
